22 - The Scripture has declared all under sin. [Greek, hamartia - “missing the mark” i.e. imperfection. “HE has subjected (sugkleió - to shut up, enclose, confined) aLL to disobedience (apeitheia - disobedience, unbelief; from A "not" and peíthō - persuaded) SO he may have mercy on all” Ro.11:32] And so - the promise - by faith in Jesus, might be given to those who believe.
23 Before faith came, we were under the law {like} held in custody, until the way of faith would be revealed. 24 So then, the law was our guardian [paidagógos - a trainer, tutor] until Christ came. This is so we might be justified by faith. 25 And now that faith has come, we are no longer under that guardian, 26 for in Christ Jesus we are sons and daughters of God through faith. 27 And when you were baptized, it represented a putting on of Christ, like putting on new clothing. 28 And therefor, in Christ, there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither nor male and female, but all are one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, and an heir according to the PROMISE.
{Heir to what? To God’s Spirit/Presence, increasing so ultimately we shall be fully “like Jesus”. A full temple of God ..yet each unique, God calls his jewels, Mal.3:17. Heirs to “the kingdom”. All under sin/futility by first pair ‘falling’.. So it’s one and done, “all of heaven and all of earth” taking this unavoidable journey through this all important contrast all together at once. Other option? Ant Farm? ..Instead, total ‘herd’ immunity? To straying from God who iS Life and “is perfect” Mt.5:48. ..So imperfection is entropy.}
