☀️ Ephesians 2:1-9
1 - And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world. Following the prince of the power of the air {aka, what the world says, and puts forth} the spirit that is now at work in the children of disobedience, 3 among whom we aLL once lived in the passions of the selfish, and self serving (imperfect/entropic) character, carrying out desires {gotta have’s} of body, mind, and emotions, and were by nature children of wrath like all (of us).
[Romans 11:32, a more word for word translation - “He has subjected the all to disobedience” {thus imperfection/entropy, but no option to stray in Eden, and creation would be an Ant Farm} “that (to) the all, mercy.” ..HE has subjected (“the”) all to disobedience/imperfection, so to have mercy upon (“the”) all.]
4 God, being rich in mercy - because of the great love with which he loves - 5 even when we were dead in {entropy, and} our trespasses [paraptóma - trespass, offense, fault] {imperfection} HE made us alive together with Christ! It’s by grace we’ve been saved!
6 He raised us up together. And has seated us together, in the heavenly/spiritual in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages, he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace that’s in Christ Jesus {our Lord}. 8 For by grace we’ve been saved, through faith [pisteos - faith, belief, trust, confidence, fidelity, reliably persuaded]. And this is not our own doing! 9 It is not a result of works and effort, but is the gift of God, so no one can (ever) boast. {All equal in humility. “The meek shall inherit the Earth” Mt.5:5.}
🌙 John 9:35-10:6
35 - Jesus heard they had cast the man born blind out of the synagogue. Finding him later, he asked him, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” 36 The man answered, “Who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?” 37 “You have seen him. It’s he who’s speaking to you.” 38 The man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped. 39 Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, so those who don’t see may see, and those who {think they} see may become blind.”
40 There were some Pharisees nearby who heard it, and said, “Are we also blind?” 41 Jesus answered, “If you were blind, you would have no guilt. But because you say, ‘We see,’ your sin [hamartia - missing the mark] remains [menó - remains, abides, stays, continues, dwells, endures, awaits].”
10:1 “Truly, I tell you, whoever doesn’t enter the sheepfold by the gate, but climbs in another way, is doing so in order to be a thief and a robber. 2 But the one who enters by the door {the proper entrance} is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the gatekeeper opens.” {John the Baptist/Baptizer, the “voice crying out in the wilderness” as was prophecied, Isaiah 40:3, Malachi 3:1 and 4:5-w/ Mark 9:13. And with a later eschatological, full scope fulfillment of Mal.4.}
“And the sheep hear the shepherd’s voice, and he calls each one of them by name, and he leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all of his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him. For his sheep know his voice. 5 They will not listen to the voice of a stranger, nor follow after them, but will flee.” 6 This parable and way of speaking Jesus spoke to them, but they didn’t understand what he was saying.
