            ☀️ Colossians 2:8-17

8 - See to it that no one leads you off as a slave to their teachings, or philosophies or empty traditions, according to the elemental spirits of this world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells completely, 10 and you’ve been filled up in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.

     11 In him also you were spiritually circumcised, by putting off {the self first and foremost, the mortal character - circumcision was on the eighth day, this straying is running its course for six millennial days, followed by the Lord’s long second advent consisting of a Sabbath millennium (a rest from enmity) then everything fully remedied on the eighth ‘day’ - so the putting off from humanity} …of the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 like you were buried with him in baptism, and raised with him, through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. {This - being raised from death - taken lightly? Assuming with world philosophy that we are inherently immortal, death being another form of life and living. But, imperfection - because God is Life and “is perfect” - is this slow gehenna crucible, entropy. The fire and worm that does not quit, aka, reverse.} ..13 And you {we} who were dead in your {our} trespasses and the uncircumcision of the mortal nature, God has made alive with Christ! Having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 and canceling the charges of debt that were against us. This he set aside {we are pardoned} nailing it to the cross. 15 He disarmed the ruling powers {including death} and authorities, openly triumphing over them {and the good news rode forth conquering and to conquer}. 16 Therefore let no one judge you concerning food, or concerning drink, or in regard to a feast, or a new moon, or a Sabbath. 17 For these are a shadow {and copy} of the {real. The} things {which are} to come, for - the reality is Christ. {Logos, God’s reasoning, personified, vs.9.}

[Some early manuscripts do not have 7:53 to 8:11.] 2 - Early in the morning Jesus was again at the temple and the people came and sat down and he taught them. 3 But then the leaders, the scribes and Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and bringing her to Jesus, 4 they said, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. 5 Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such a one. So what do you say?” 6 This they said to test him, so they might have some charge to bring against him. But Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger upon the ground. 7 And as they continued to ask him, “Well?” he straightened up and said, “Let whoever is without sin be the first one to cast a stone at her.” 8 And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. 9 And then they went away one by one, beginning with the older to the younger, and Jesus was left alone with the woman. 10 He straightened up and said to her, “Woman, where are those accusing you? Is there none to condemn you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more.”
