☀️ Colossians 1:21-29
21 - And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing bad and malicious [ponéros - evil, wicked, bad, malicious] things, 22 he has now reconciled! By his suffering and death, in order to present you holy and blameless, and above reproach, before God. 23 If, indeed, you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not moving away from the hope [elpis - expectation, trust] of the gospel, which you heard, and is proclaimed in all of creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a servant.
24 Now I (Paul) rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my mortality. I am full to the brim and overflowing in the afflictions of Christ. Afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me (especially) for you gentiles (non Hebrews) in order to make the word of God fully known. {God called and created a new nation in order to separate himself, in understanding, from “the gods” of the nations which were many, and carnal instead of holy and “perfect”.}
26 And now the mystery hidden for ages and generations is now revealed! 27 To those God chose {by a lucky shake of the heavenly dice? what role we play} to make known how great among the nations is the riches of the glory of this mystery! Which mystery, is - Christ in you! Which is the hope/expectation of glory.
28 It’s him we proclaim, encouraging, instructing and steering everyone with all wisdom. This is so we may present everyone mature in Christ. 29 For this I toil, struggling with all his energy which he powerfully works within me.
🌙 John 7:10-24
10 - After his (natural) brothers had gone up to the feast, then Jesus went up also, but quietly, and not openly. 11 The people were looking for him, and saying, “Where is he?” 12 And there was much undercurrent of talking about him among the people. While some said, “He’s a good man,” others said, “No, he’s leading the people astray.” 13 Yet for fear of the leaders no one spoke openly. {Social intimidation.}
14 It wasn’t until the middle of the feast (middle of Tabernacle’s week) that Jesus went up to the temple and began to teach. 15 The people marveled, saying, “How is it that this man has learning, when he has never studied?” 16 So Jesus said, “My teaching is not from me, but is the teaching of the one who sent me. 17 Anyone who wants to do God's will, will know if the teaching is from God, or whether what I speak is from myself. 18 The one who speaks from their self seeks their own glory. But the one who seeks the glory of he who sent him is genuine, and in him there is no falsehood.
19 Has not Moses given you the law? Yet none of you keeps the law. For why do you seek to kill me?” 20 The crowd answered, “You have a demon! Who’s seeking to kill you?”
21 Jesus answered, “I did one work, and you all marvel at it. 22 Moses gave you circumcision, not that it was from Moses, but from the fathers, and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. 23 If on the Sabbath a man receives circumcision, so the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because on the Sabbath I made a man's body well? 24 Don’t judge by the superficial, and appearance, but judge with {deeper} right judgment.” {Think about it! ..Think about everything. With logic, root word logos.}
