• Colossians 3:12-25 John 8:33-47
☀️ Colossians 3:12-16
12 - As God's chosen ones then - chosen to be holy and beloved - put on compassionate hearts. Hearts of kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. 13 Bear with one another. And if one should have a complaint against another, forgive each other. For the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
14 Above all, put on love, for love is what binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. And let it rule among you, for indeed, you were called to be one body.
And be thankful! 16 Let the words of Christ live big in you! Then you can teach, encourage and admonish one another in all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs in your hearts with thankfulness to God.
17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
18 Wives, be compliant to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. [And “helper” paraklete {comforter! friend, helper.. Spirit of the Father.. Inner Quiet..} The Greek usually translated submit, is hupotassó - from hypo - cooperative, and tasso - arrangement - implies a voluntary attitude of agreement, cooperation, assuming responsibility, and carrying a burden — the concept of submission was integral to the social order, especially in the household. The patriarch was head and authority of the family and house, with matriarch as “helper”. Originally, in Genesis, the Hebrew word (2:18) is ezer, which means help, helper, support, from azar - to help, akin to the greek paraklētos - helper, advocate, comforter — the original was also - “it’s not good for man to be alone” so a "helper” which “underscores a complementary partnership between man and woman, rather than implying a hierarchy”.
But after the “fall” the straying, disregarding/doubting God’s instruction, then God prophesied (told Eve) the stronger would rule. Which is still true in many places, for imperfect came about (a virulent dis-ease, spread from first gone rogue one, a high angel)..
Before any act of creation, of course, God knew every able to think being, ever created, was bound to stray in thought, word, or deed, sooner or later. (Unless robotic.) So God engineered it so all take this unavoidable journey (through this all important contrast) all together at once.

19 And husbands, love your wives, and don’t be harsh [pikrainó - making bitter, to embitter, exasperating, embittering, harsh] toward them.
20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. 21 Fathers, don’t provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. 22 Bondservants (usually working off a loan of money or land) obey in everything those who are your earthly masters (bosses) not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, honoring the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work heartily, working for the Lord in your heart. 24 Knowing you will receive inheritance from him as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. {All these for peaceful society.}
25 A wrongdoer {individual oR collective} will be paid back for the wrong they do {and the wrong way they go} with no partiality. {Cause and effect …as God’s ‘wrath’, is the greek word orge, his passion! As opposed to a creation with no able to think and reason beings.. Lots of animals, birds, creatures.. but no thinkers.}
🌙 John 8:33-47
33 - The Pharisees {leaders, more political than spiritual/religious} said to him, “We are descendants of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it you say, ‘You will become free’?”
34 Jesus answered, “Truly, I tell you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. 35 And a slave doesn’t remain in the house forever, but the son remains forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you’ll be free indeed! 37 I know you’re descendants of Abraham. Yet you seek to kill me because my word finds no place in you.
38 I speak of what I’ve seen with my Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.”
39 They answered him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said, “If you were Abraham's children, you would be doing the works Abraham did, 40 but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth, truth I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did. 41 You’re doing the works your {spiritual} father did.”
They said, “We were not born of fornication! We have one Father, God.”
42 Jesus answered, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and here I am. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me.
43 And why do you not understand what I say? It’s because you can’t bear to hear my message. 44 You’re of your father the devil, and your will is to do his will.” {If they reflect his will, then they are being his children, and not God’s. His will and desire is still “I will ascend” and the ancient dream of Total World Domination. One POWER - filled by him and his. Rev.17:10.} “He was a murderer from the beginning.”
{From the beginning of the universe, God having SO patiently waited for the first, bound-TO-occur rebel thought to not only occur, but to mature into full blown seditious sentiment, ripe for acting, for this unavoidable contrast as a ‘quick’ one&done.}
“And he doesn’t stand in the truth, because there’s no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks from himself, for he is a liar, and the father” {origin} “of lies. 45 But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me.
46 Which one of you can convict me of wrong? If I speak truth, why do you not believe me? 47 Whoever is of God, hears God’s words.
