GospeL Verses ~ Luke 6:1-5 Mark 2:23-28

Lk.6:1 - On a Sabbath, while he was going through the grain fields, his disciples plucked and ate some heads of grain, by rubbing the heads in their hands. 2 But some Pharisees nearby said, “Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath!” 3 Jesus answered them, “Have you never read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him? 4 How he entered the house of God and took and ate the bread of the Presence, which is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those with him? 5 The Son of Man, is lord of the Sabbath.”

Mk.2:23 - One Sabbath Jesus was going through the fields, and as they made their way, his disciples began to pluck heads of grain. 24 And the Pharisees were saying to him, “Why are they doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?” 25 And he said, “Have you not read what David did? When he was hungry and in need? How he and those with him 26 entered the house of God, in the time of Abiathar the high priest, and they ate the bread of the Presence, which isn’t lawful for any but the priests to eat. 27 The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28 And so the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”

                ~ Hebrews 10:30-34 ~

30 - For we know he who said, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay.” And how, “The Lord will judge his people.” 31 It’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (Having to drink the full foaming cup of consequences.)

32 But remember former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle and sufferings. 33 Sometimes being publicly exposed to ridicule and accusation, other times being labeled and slandered. 34 For you defended those treated so, who were imprisoned. You even joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession! An abiding one. (Remaining a peacemaker, even pitying others who will reap aS they sow.)
