GospeL Verses ~ Luke 4:16-30
16 - And then Jesus went to his home town of Nazareth. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath.
He stood up to read, 17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it’s written, 18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim the good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and the recovering of sight to the blind. To set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor [dektos - acceptable, accepted, from dexomai - to receive, received favorably, welcomed because pleasing].” 20 And he rolled up the scroll, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. And the eyes of everyone were fixed upon him. 21 And he said, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” 22 And although all spoke well of him and knew he spoke gracious words, they said, “Is not this Joseph's son?” 23 And he said to them, “Doubtless you will quote to me this proverb, ‘physician, heal thyself. What we have heard of you doing at Capernaum, do here in your hometown as well’. 24 But the truth is, no prophet is acceptable and received in his hometown. 25 And in truth, I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heavens were shut up for three years and six months, and a great famine came over all the land. 26 And Elijah was only sent to a widow woman in Zarephath, in the land of Sidon. 27 And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha, but none were cleansed, only Naaman the Syrian.”
28 When they heard these things, they became filled with wrath! 29 And they rose up and drove him out of town, to the brow of the hill on which their town stood, so they could throw him off the cliff. 30 But passing through the midst of them, he walked away.

From New Testament Letters
(In the Order Believed Written)
~ Hebrews 8:11-9:5 ~
Review - vs.10 - For this is the contract I will make with the house of Israel (this is what I will do/am doing concerning Israel/humanity) — (believers in Messiah are “grafted into Israel” and are now “part of the commonwealth of Israel”) — after those days, declares the LORD - I will put [didΓ³mi - give, put, place] my laws into their minds, and inscribe them upon their heart. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. [Rev.21:1-5->and in verse 5, greek “pas” should read “all”.]
11 - “And they shall not teach each one his brother and neighbor saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, (those who have been) least to greatest. 12 For I will be merciful toward their injustices, and their wrong ways and doings. And I will remember their sins [hamartia - missing the mark] no more.” [Ro.11:32 - “He has subjected all to disobedience, that he have mercy upon all” - usually may is assumed and inserted, as - may have mercy upon all.]
13 In speaking of a new covenant (a contract, a guaranteed contract!) he makes the first one obsolete. And what becomes obsolete and grows old, vanishes away. (A relic, but no longer of use - after Israel birthed Jesus to the world, except to point out our flaws/missing the mark. We acknowledge it.. Then we are free of it. If we are living close to God, pursuing him, we should not have a problem with his commandments. Beware of people adding commandments! Relax! Certainly you’re not going to want to rob a bank.. Well no, you might want to, we get many bad impulses.. And less than good thoughts. But because His Spirit is with us and we abide in his words, We turn from them, as fast as they come to us - that’s how the new contract works. Remember after Jesus’ terrible suffering, and his death and resurrection, seven weeks later came Pentecost and God’s Gift. Without it we can never be an overcomer as advised in the Book of Revelation. ..The next holy day to be fulfilled, is Trumpets.)
9 Yet even the first one had regulations for observance and an earthly holy and sacred place. 2 For a tent was prepared - and in the first section was the lamp-stand, and the table with the bread of the Presence upon it. This first room was called the Holy Place.
3 And behind the second curtain was the second section called the Most Holy Place. 4 And in this room was the golden altar of incense along with the ark of the covenant which was gilded on all sides with gold, and inside of which was Aaron’s staff that budded, a golden urn holding manna, and the tablets of the covenant (of the ten society preserving commandments). 5 Above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.
