GospeL Verses ~ Lk.6:12-16 Mk.3:13-19
6:12 - In those days he would go out to the mountain to pray. And on one night he continued all night in prayer. 13 And when morning came, he called to him his disciples [mathΓ©tΓ©s - learners, disciples, pupils] and chose from them twelve, and called them apostles [apostolos - a messengers, ones sent, or who send on a mission, an apostle]. They were: 14 Simon, whom he named Peter and his brother Andrew, the brothers James and John, Philip, Bartholomew (otherwise known as Nathaniel), 15 Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called the Zealot, 16 Jude the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.
Mk.3:13 - Jesus went up on the mountain and he called to him twelve, 14 whom he appointed and named them apostles, so they might travel with him and he might send them out to preach, 15 and to have authority to cast out demons. 16 He appointed the twelve: Simon, to whom he gave the name Peter, 17 James and John the sons of Zebedee which he would call Boanerges, that is, Sons of Thunder, 18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew (otherwise known as Nathaniel), Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus (otherwise known as Lebbaeus and Jude), Simon the Zealot, 19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

~ Hebrews 11:1-6 ~
1 - Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for [elpizΓ³ - expected, hoped for] the conviction of things not (yet) seen. 2 By this were the ancients commended. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the speaking forth of God, so that what is seen is not made out of things that are visible.
4 By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, by which he was commended as righteous, evidenced by God accepting his gifts. And because of his faith, though he died, yet still he speaks. 5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he wasn’t found, because God had taken him. (No idols of his bones.) And before he was taken he was commended and approved as pleasing God. 6 Without faith it is not possible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists! And that he rewards those who seek him.
