     04/30 - GospeL Verses

36 - (Jesus continues.) “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven or the Son. Only the Father knows. 37 For as the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” [Coming is “parousia” - “coming, presence, arrival, literally means - the being beside, personal presence, from parōn - be present, arrive to enter into a situation, properly - coming, especially the arrival of the owner who alone can deal with a situation, visit of a king or other official, a royal visit, presence of one coming hence - coming, arrival, advent”.]

38 “For as in those days, before the flood, the people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark. 39 And they were unaware, until the flood came and swept them all away.” {Pre flood was hands off. Imperfection is an “abyss” (rev.9:2-3) of potential.]

“So will be the coming [parousia] of the Son of Man. 40 Then two will be in the field, one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two will be grinding at the mill, one will be taken and the other left. 42 Therefore, stay awake! For you don’t know on what day your Lord is coming” [erchomai - walk, to go, to come; movement from one place to another; can denote both the act of coming and the state of having arrived]. [Zechariah 14:4] 43 “But know this - as the master of the house, knowing in what part of the night the thief is coming [erchomai - to come, go, walk] he would stay awake and not let his house be broken into. {The thief in this verse is not the Lord?💡But is simultaneous!? Imo.} 44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man comes in an hour you don’t expect.”
