04/25 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

      Paul’s 1st Letter To Timothy

9 - The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, 10 because to this end we toil and strive, our expectation and trust [elpizó - to hope, to expect, to trust] is set upon the living God! Who is the Savior of all people, especially [málista - from mala - very much – very much the case; particularly so; especially] of those who believe.

11 Instruct [paraggéllō - originally meant to pass on or transmit, hence, used as a military term, of passing a watchword or command] and teach these things. 12 Let no one despise you because you’re young, but set an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. 13 And until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching. 14 Don’t neglect the gift you have, which was given by prophecy when the elder believers prayed for and laid hands on you. 15 Practice these things, immerse yourself in them. So all may see your progress. 16 Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this! For by so doing you will keep safe both yourself and your hearers.

My own studies. Been neglecting Psalms (jan 1-20, feb-20’s, mar-30’s, apr-40’s, etc. dec-120-150) and the Prophets.
