     3 Then later, around the third hour he sees others standing idle in the marketplace, 4 so he tells them, ‘Go and work in the vineyard too, and I’ll pay you what’s fair.’ 5 So they go.

     And then again later, at about the sixth hour, and also the ninth hour, he does the same. 6 And even at the eleventh hour he goes out and finds others standing idle. And says to them, ‘Why are you standing here idle all day?’ 7 And they answer, ‘Because no one has hired us!’ So he tells them, as well, to go and work in the vineyard.

     8 And when evening comes, the owner of the vineyard says to the foreman, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, up to the first.’ 9 And when those hired at about the eleventh hour come, each of them receive a denarius. 10 Now when those who were hired first come, they think they will receive more. But each of them receive a denarius as well. 11 And on receiving it they grumble at the master of the house, 12 and they say, ‘These last worked only one hour!      9 - And the kings of earth, who were in bed with her and lived in luxury with her, will weep and mourn when they see the smoke of her burning. {$ity Babylon - who rode the beasts to all seven hills/continents.. Free enterprise highjacked. Rode (and traveled with) the beasts which will join but not really (Rev.13:1 w/ Dan.7:7,19, and Dan.2:36-45 shows us the metals are Rome and Greek, aka a western roots and foundation, many headed geopolitical beast/entity/institution. Within it, is ‘dove’ and vulture, Mt.24:28. The fallen as prey,  the west once called Christendom having fallen away into “lawlessness” and deterioration.}

     10 They will stand far off, watching from a distance in fear of her torment, and will say, “Alas! Alas! That great city {that ruled} that mighty city, Babylon! For in one hour your judgment has come.” 

     11 And the merchants of earth {also} will weep and mourn for her. For no one buys their cargoes anymore. 12 Products of gold and silver, precious stones, pearls, fine linen, silk and scarlet cloths, all fragrant woods, articles of ivory and fine wood, bronze, iron and marble. 13 And cinnamon, spice, incense, perfumes and ointments, frankincense, wine, oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, slaves, and human souls [psuche - soul, life, self, inner being] {human beings}. 14 “And the ripe fruit of you and the delicacies for which you lusted/longed for have gone from you. All your sumptuous splendors are lost to you and will not be found in you again.”

     15 The merchants of these things, who grew wealthy from her (from the $ity, a modern day Baal?) will stand far off, in fear of her torment, loudly weeping and mourning, 16 “Alas, alas, for the great city that was clothed in fine linen, in purple and scarlet, adorned with gold, and jewels, and with pearls! 17 For in a single hour all that wealth has been laid waste.”

     And all shipmasters and seafaring men/traders, sailors and all whose - trade is on the sea - stood far off, 18 and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, “What city was like the great $ity?!” 19 And they threw dust on their heads as they wept and mourned, crying out, “Alas, alas, for the great city - where all who had ships at sea grew rich by her costliness! For in one hour has she been laid waste.”

     20 Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, for God has given judgment against her! {As you have done so shall it fall upon you.. reaping what you sow..}

     21 Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “So will Babylon the great city be thrown down with violence, and will be found no more, 22 and the sound of harpists and musicians, of flute players and trumpeters, will no longer be heard in you, nor any craftsman of any craft will be found in you, nor sound of the mill, be heard in you. 23 The light of a lamp will not shine in you, and the voice of bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you any more, for her merchants were the great ones of earth, and all nations were deceived by your sorcery [pharmakeia - sorcery, witchcraft, magic, enchantment, spells, deception, corruption, beguilement.. {power to influence}].

1 - (From) Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

     2 To the saints (believers, Heb.11:40) and faithful brothers and sisters in Christ at Colossae: Grace to you! And peace from God our Father!

     3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus, when we pray for you, 4 because we’ve heard of your faith in Him. And we’ve heard of the love you have for all the saints [hagios - sacred, set apart] 5 because of the hope [elpis - expectation] being laid up for you in heaven. Which you heard of before in the message of truth, the gospel, 6 which has come to you.

     And indeed in all the world the message is bearing fruit and increasing, as it also is doing among you in Colossae since the day you heard and understood it - understood the grace of God in truth, 7 just as you learned it from Epaphras our beloved brother. He is a faithful servant and minister of Christ on your behalf, 8 and he has told us all about your love and affection in the Spirit.

13 - Parents and grandparents were bringing children to Jesus, that he might lay his hands on them and pray for them.

     The disciples were trying to send them away, 14 but Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, don’t stop them, for it’s to them that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” 15 And he laid his hands on each one of them before they continued on.

     16 Just then, a man came up, saying, “Good teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” {Be immortal, “put-on immortality”.}

     17 Jesus said, “Why do you call me good? There’s only one who’s good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.” 18 “Which ones?” he asked. Jesus said, “Don’t murder, don’t commit adultery, don’t steal, don’t bear false witness, 19 honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.”

     20 The young man said, “All these I’ve kept from birth. What do I lack?” 21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all you have, and give to the poor. Then you’ll have treasure in heaven, and come, follow me.”

     22 But when he heard this, the young man went away sad, for he had great wealth. {After the crucifixion, was the new, a “new and living way”. The Old Testament way of sacrifices for sin [hamartia - missing the mark (the conscience KNOWS!)] was a shadow (small scope version) of the one sacrifice strong enough to appease eveRy conscience, ultimately, not magically. — From old way to “new” because change from within works - by believing (entering, following) the Good News we will “inherit” and “put on perfection” thus “immortality” - God is Life and “is perfect” so imperfect is entropy, a slow gehenna(burning up) “that doesn’t quit”. Life as we presently know it, is an unavoidable contrast running course. A ‘parable’ of the decomposing ‘apple’ and its worm “that doesn’t quit”. The decomposing. The dis-ease as part of the cure. And immunity, Total Herd Immunity. Jesus is Lord. And “will draw all” Jn.12:32.}

     23 Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I tell you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 I tell you, it’s easier for a camel [kamélos] to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

     25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly amazed, and said, “Who then can be saved?” {If it’s hard for them, the privileged!}

     26 Jesus told them, “With man himself, it’s impossible” {can’t be done, imperfect cannot make itself perfect} “but with God - nothing - is impossible.”

     27 Peter said, “We’ve left everything and have followed you. What reward or treasure shall we have?” 28 Jesus said, “Truly, I tell you, in the {time of the} regeneration [“palin(again)genesis” literal] when the Son of man sits on his throne [thronos - seat, throne] of glory, you will sit on twelve seats [thronos] judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands” {or lost friends, or even family} “for the sake of my name [onoma - name, authority, cause] will receive a hundredfold! Not to mention I’m your father in the Lord as well. 20 Yes, brother, I feel sure you will refresh my heart in Christ. 21 For I know of your good will, and I write, knowing you will do even more than I ask. 22 At the same time, prepare a guest room for me! For I’m hoping that through our prayers I’ll be able to come and visit.

What therefore God has joined together, man shouldn’t separate.”

     7 They said to him, “Why then did Moses say to give a certificate of divorce and send her away?” 8 He answered, “Because of the hardness of your hearts, Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it wasn’t so. 9 And I tell you, whoever divorces his wife, unless for infidelity, and marries another, commits adultery.”

     10 And the disciples asked him, “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it’s better not to marry!” 11 But he said, “Not everyone can do so, only those to whom it’s given. 12 There are eunuchs who are so from birth, there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have chosen to be eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let the one who’s able to receive it receive it.” {Of the options, neither is a requirement. Healthy family as a building block makes for peaceful society, although never perfect until God has fulfilled HiS blueprint and sealed it.}

     3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father! And the Lord Jesus Christ! 4 I am always thankful to God for you and I remember you in my prayers. 5 For I hear of the faith you have toward the Lord Jesus, and your love for all the brothers and sisters. 6 I pray that the sharing of your faith may be effective, and full, having knowledge of every good thing that’s in us, for the sake of Christ. 7 For I have felt much joy and comfort because the hearts of the saints (believers) have been refreshed through you.

     23 For the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wished to settle his accounts with his (bond) servants. 24 And when he began to settle, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25 And since he couldn’t pay, he ordered his indenture to be sold, with his wife and children and all he had, and payment to be made. 26 So the servant fell on his knees, imploring him, ‘Have patience with me! 1 - Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. 2 And there he met a Hebrew (a Jew) named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Emperor Claudius had ordered all Hebrews out of Rome.

     Paul went to see them, 3 and because he was of the same trade as they were, he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers.

     4 And he was reasoning in the synagogue every Sabbath, trying to persuade both Jews and Greeks the word (message) that Jesus was Messiah. 5 But at about the time Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, 6 they began throwing insults at him, for they had been opposing him. So Paul shook out his garments against them, and said, “The consequences be on your own heads! I’m innocent! From now on I’m going to the Gentiles!”

     7 He left there and went next door to the house of a man named Titius Justus, a worshiper of God. 8 And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, also believed in the Lord, along with all his household. And many of the Corinthians listening to Paul believed and were baptized.

     9 The Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Don’t be afraid, but go on speaking and don’t be silent, 10 for I’m with you, and no one will attack to harm you, for I have many here in Corinth, who are my people.” 11 And Paul stayed a year and six months, teaching the word/message of God among them.

     12 But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the leaders of the synagogue made a unified attack on Paul and brought him before the Roman tribunal, 13 saying, “This man is persuading people to worship God contrary to Roman law!” 14 But when Paul was about to speak in his defense, Gallio said, “If it were a matter of wrong doing or a vicious crime, I would have reason to accept your complaint! 15 But since it’s a matter of questions about words and names and your own laws, see to it yourselves! I refuse to be a judge of these things.” 16 And he sent them away from the tribunal.

(The disciples had asked Jesus, “Who is greatest in the kingdom?”) 12 - “What do you think?” Jesus asked them, “If a shepherd has a hundred sheep, and one goes astray.     15 “If your brother or sister - sins against you - go and tell them their fault, between you and they alone. If they hear you, you’ve gained your brother or sister!

     16 But if they don’t listen, take one or two others with you, so everything can be established by the witness of two or three. 17 And if they still refuse to listen, tell it to the group. And if they refuse to hear even then, let them be to you as an outsider. 18 Truly, I tell you, whatever you bind on earth, will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven. {What you decide - in His wisdom and “Way” - will be honored/upheld by God.} 19 Again I tell you - if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there with you.”
