GospeL Verses ~ Luke 1:67-80
67 - And the baby’s father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) and prophesied, saying, 68 “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel! He has visited and redeemed his people! 69 He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David, 70 as he spoke by his holy prophets of old, 71 that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us. (The god of this world’s hatred.) 72 to show the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember his holy covenant 73 - the oath - that he swore to Abraham - to grant us 74 that we, delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear, 75 in holiness and righteousness before him all our days. 76 And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way. 77 And to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the pardoning of their sins, 78 because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high! 79 To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
80 And the child grew and became strong in spirit, and he was in the wilderness until the day of his public appearing to Israel.

~ Hebrews 4:12-16 ~
12 - The word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 No creature is hidden, but all is laid bare to the eyes of he to whom we must give an answer. (HE’s the one we answer to.) 14 And so, since we have such a great high priest who has passed into the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confidence (and trust). 15 For we don’t have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted, yet has never sinned [greek hamartia - missed the mark]. (It’s mpossible for Father or Son to fail/miss the mark!) 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may find and receive the mercy and grace we need.
