GospeL Verses ~ Luke 2:39-52

39 - And when they had performed everything according to the law of the LORD, they returned to their own city, Nazareth of Galilee. 40 And the child grew and became strong and filled with wisdom. And the favor of God was upon him.

41 His parents went every year to Jerusalem, for the days of Passover. [Spring holy week was called both Passover or Unleavened Bread, as were the two days, Passover a preparation day for First Day of Unleavened Bread.] 42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up according the custom. 43 And when the days were ending, when they were returning home, Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem and Mary and Joseph didn’t know it, 44 but supposed he was in the company they were traveling with. They went a full day’s journey, until they looked for him among their kin and acquaintances. 45 When they didn’t find him, they returned to Jerusalem, looking for him. 46 And after three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 And those with him were amazed at his understanding and at his answers. 48 And when Mary and Joseph saw him they were astonished, and Mart said to him, “Son, why have you treated us this way? Behold, your father and I have been anxiously looking for you!” 49 And he said, “How is it you searched for me? Didn’t you know I would likely be in my Father’s house?” 50 But they didn’t really understand what he meant. 51 And he went down with them, returning home to Nazareth, and was obedient to them. But his mother kept all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, being in favor with both God and man.

                ~ Hebrews 6:12-18 ~

12 - So stay earnest so you may not be sluggish, but like those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. 13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, he swore by his own name, since there is no greater name by which to swear, 14 saying, “Surely, I will bless you and multiply you.” 15 And so Abraham, having patiently endured, obtained the promise of a son. 16 Men indeed swear by a name greater than theirselves, and in all their issues an oath is considered final. 17 God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose clear to the heirs of the promise, so he swore to it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things - in which it is impossible for God to lie - we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.
