GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 2:1-12
1 - Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, wise men from the east arrived at Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and we have come to worship him.” 3 Now when Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him (or else?) 4 and assembling the chief priests and scribes of Judea, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. 5 And they told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so is it written by the prophet, 6 ‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah. For from you shall come the one who will shepherd my people Israel.’”
7 Then Herod summoned the wise men in secret, and asked them what time the star had first appeared. 8 Then he said to them, “Go and look diligently for the child, and when you’ve found him, send me word, so I too may come and worship him.” 9 After listening to the him, the wise men went on their way. And behold, the star they had seen at its rising, went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10 And when they saw the star, they rejoiced greatly, with exceeding joy. 11 And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 But being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way.

10 - About Jesus, being designated by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek - 11 we have much to say, which is hard to explain, as the hearing has become dull. 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need to be taught again the basic principles of the message of God, needing milk, not solid food.13 For everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness (and rightness) since he is an infant. 14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained - by constant practice - to distinguish between good from evil.
