GospeL Verses ~ John 6:22-29

22 - The next day the crowd that had stayed on the other side of the sea saw that there had been only one boat, and that Jesus hadn’t gotten into the boat with his disciples, and knew they had set off alone. 23 Other boats from Tiberias had come near where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. 24 So when the crowd saw that Jesus wasn’t there, nor his disciples, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum, looking for Jesus. 25 And when they found him on the other side of the sea, they said, “Rabbi, when did you come here?” 26 Jesus answered, “Truly, you are seeking me, not because you saw a miracle, but because you ate your fill of bread. 27 Don’t look for the food (etc!) that perishes, but for the food that endures into unfading life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.” (At baptism, the Spirit/Presence of God like a dove? Love also being the seal.) 28 Then they asked, “What must we do? To be doing the works of God?” 29 Jesus told them, “This is the work of God — that you believe in the one he has sent.”

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                  ~ Romans 11:25-36

25 - I (Paul) don’t want you to be unaware of this particular mystery - lest you consider yourself overly wise - that a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles is come in. [Fullness - pléróma - fullness, a filling up, from pléroó - to make full, complete, and plḗthō – properly, fill to the maximum (full extent), "the limit" - full.] 26 And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob” (the original name of Israel, before separated to God, mortal name). 27 “And this will be my covenant (agreement, treaty) with them when I take away their sins [hamartia - missing the mark (imperfect, which can’t work because God is life, and he “is perfect” Mt.5:48. What patience he has! As life he lives through everything, and he endowed thinking and reasoning ability anyway! And waits as it runs its course.)] 28 As regards the gospel, those under the law are adversaries for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of the forefathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable [ametamelétos - not repented of, not regretted]. 30 For just as you (Roman believers) were at one time disobedient to God, but have now received mercy because of their disobedience [apeithéō – literally, (their) refusal to be persuaded] 31 so now they too, have been disobedient, so that by the mercy shown to you, they also may receive mercy. (Kind of like the endless mirror to mirror image? Or am I just tired? Lol.) 32 For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all. [For GOD has — sugkleió - shut together, i.e. enclosed, from “sun” and “kleió” — so that all, he may show mercy to.]

33 Oh! The depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments! How unknowable are his ways! 34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor!” 35 “Who has given anything to him that he might owe them?” 36 For from him, and through him, and to him.. are all things. To him be glory forever! Amen. (See yesterday’s study.)
