GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 14:1-14

(Oh my, I really don’t like this portion of scripture. For this study I will tone it way down.) 1 - At that time Herod the tetrarch heard about how famous Jesus was, 2 and he said to his servants, “This is John the Baptist (the baptizer). He’s been raised from the dead! That’s why he has these powers.” 3 Herod had seized John and thrown him in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife. 4 John had said to him (to Herod who was an Israelite/Hebrew/Jewish), “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.” 5 And though John wanted to put him to death, he didn’t, because he feared the people, who believed he was a prophet. 6 But then Herod's birthday came, and the daughter of Herodias danced before the company and Herod blurted out an oath to her,  to give her whatever she would ask. 8 So she asked her mother.. Herod couldn’t, in sight of his guests, not honor his oath.. Later John’s disciples came and buried John, and they went and told Jesus what had happened. 13 And when Jesus heard, he withdrew from there in a boat to a lonely place. But the crowds heard where he was going, and they came on foot from all the surrounding towns. 14 And when Jesus went ashore, he saw them all and had compassion for them and healed their sick.

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                  ~ Romans 10:11-15 ~

11 - For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” [Kataischuno - shamed, disgraced, put to confusion.] 12 And there is no distinction between Hebrew or Greek/of the nations. (The ethnicities are the branches of God’s family. Life as we presently know it is the womb we’re in. And Jew is slang and was prophesied, Deut.28:37 - prophecied, it wasn’t the placing of a curse.) For the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich toward all those calling upon him.13 For “everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 But how shall they call upon him if they have not believed? And how are they to believe - if they have never heard?! And how are they to hear without someone proclaiming? 15 And how are they to proclaim unless they are sent? As it’s written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who proclaim the good news!”
