         John 13:1-20

1 - It was just before Passover Festival, and Jesus knew the time had come for him to leave this world, and go to the Father. He loved those of this world who followed him, and he loved them to the end. 2 The twelve were having supper, and the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him. 3 Jesus knew the Father had given him authority over all things and he knew he had come from God and was going back to God. (But he would miss walking and talking with his followers. Yes?) 4 So Jesus got up from the meal, took off his outer garment, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 Then he poured some water into a basin and began to wash the disciples feet and dry them with the towel. (It was a custom to sometimes offer a visitor some water to wash their tired and dusty feet, if they had done much walking.) 6 When he came to Peter, he said, “Lord! Are you going to wash my feet?” 7 You don’t understand what I’m doing, but you will! 8 But Peter said, “No Lord, you cannot wash my feet!” But Jesus said, “Unless I do you are not part of this.” 9 “Well then!” Simon Peter said, not just my feet! But my hands and head as well!” 10 (Smiling to himself?) Jesus replied, “Whoever has bathed, needs only to refresh his feet. For you are clean. Excepting one.” 11 He said this because he knew who was going to betray him. 12 When he was done he put his robe back on and sat back down. Then he said, “Do you know what it is I have just done? 13 You call me teacher and Lord, and you are right, that is what I am. 14 If I, your teacher and Lord, wash your feet, how much more should you all care and look out for one another? 15 I gave this as a pattern, that you should do as I do. (🤔 Patterns within patterns.. We should follow his pattern in all things, especially attitude, which is *the* foundation, the cause of the effect, of all the rest. One ruLe. Love God ..from the heart.. heart and mind. “Seek, ask, knock”. God is (more) life, love, light and laughter, a river of Life! He is Life, the life force, intelligence.. unfettered genius. He and what he is creating is supremely better than we have ever been led to believe. But how do you create genuinely able to think and reason beings, aNd keep paradise/perfection intact?? ..Did God have basically two choices for creation? An ant farm, or let things run course to herd immunity..? Having engineered it so “all in heaven and earth” take this unavoidable journey/lesson, all together at once?) 15 .. “I gave this as a pattern..” (of humility, genuine affection, service).

     16 “The disciple is not greater than the master” (and never will be!) “nor a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 You are blessed if you know these things and do them. 18 I don’t mean all of you, I know who I have chosen, but so the scripture be fulfilled, ‘he who eats my bread has lifted up his heel against me’. (Patterns within patterns.. lucifer/satan, serpent, Judas. Originally was yes, a big bang - of patterns ..But into the universe like a clock not yet running..) [The quote “ate my bread/enjoyed my hospitality and friendship.. lifted up his heel” (like a horse that kicks the one who fed him) is a reference to the promise (and prophecy) spoken in Eden, in Genesis chapter three.]

     19 I’m telling you what’s going to happen, so that when it does happen, you will know that I am who I say I am. 20 Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who receives someone I send, receives me. And the one who receives me [Greek, lambanó - to take, actively lay hold of, accepting what is available/offered] receives he who sent me.”

    ~ 1 Corinthians 8:1-8 ~

1 - Now regarding your question about food that has been offered to idols. Yes, we know that “we all have knowledge” about this. But while knowledge builds our own self up, it is love that strengthens a group of believers. 2 And someone who thinks they know all things, doesn’t really know all that much. 3 But whoever loves God, is known by God. 4 So, what about eating meat that was offered to idols? We all know that an idol is not really a god. And that there is only the one God. 5 For even if there are so-called gods, as is believed, many ‘gods’ and ‘lords’ in the heavens and upon earth, 6 yet to us there is one god, the Father from whom are all things and for whom we exist. And one Lord, the Lord Jesus, through whom are all things, and through whom, we exist. (“In the beginning God”.. then “the only begotten” only straight out from God one, the Son.. “Let us make mankind in ouR likeness” ..but first the angels.. a great number.. and the universe.. all created with and through the Son, who is under God, “head of all” things. God to be the pattern, the fabric, the rich tapestry of life. Through and through. “The lion will eat straw like the ox. The bear will graze with the cow, their young will pasture, romp and play and lie down together” Isaiah 11:7.)

     7 But not everyone knows this. Some people are so used to the false gods they believe they are eating food offered to a false god. And so they feel guilty, and are wounded. 8 But what we eat, or don’t eat, doesn’t earn us points with God. (His friendship is a Gift.) (As is his benevolence, through Jesus, not because we are better, or lesser than, any other. And a guilty conscience blocks our reception of him, and blessings. Which is why our guilty conscience had to be appeased - or we would forever sabotage ourself. Forever shrink and try to hide from God, our heavenly father. This appeasing, makes sense of the verse, that if as a follower, we continue in a practice of sin, there is no further appeasement. From our point of view, for “God is savior of aLL” and Jesus “will draw aLL to himself” - 1Tim.4:10, Jn.12:32. And also, no further appeasement/sacrifice” if continued, unto the great ‘day’ of judgment. Rather than serving, called reigning - doing the works of Jesus, after all - during “the” millennium, and during that great review/judgment of all history ‘day’ which is not until “aFter the thousand years”. — Then after the Great White Throne ‘day’ of judgment, called an aionios/eonian/an-age-of kolasin/korrection/correction - which phrase has been translated, by humans/authority figures? into ‘never-ending punishment’🤯 …A biG 🗝️ to the scriptures? -> Logic, root word “Logos” - “reasoning expressed in words”. True reasoning. And Jesus too, is called the “logos”. Truth. Truth expressed in words, and in Jesus. (An issue of “and” not the “or” many are falling for.) Only what is of truth can endure and remain standing. (So, Rev.7:9,4 during 1,3 which 1,3 is sure to be interrupted in some form before too terribly long.. then a ‘peace’, then broken with guess who? And 3.5 stressful years. Math problem - Daniel 12:11-12; 9:27-week is a week of years.)
