Hebrews 9:6-10  Luke 4:31-44

            ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 9:6-10

6 - For the (tabernacle, temple) preparations and rituals, the priests go regularly into the first {entry} section, 7 but into the second interior room, only the high priest goes. And he but once a year. And not without taking blood {strong enough to convince and appease every conscience} which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people. [Annually on Day of Atonement, DOA.] {A “shadow and type” of the real DOA, for the initiaLLy doa.}

     8 By this the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God} indicates that the way into the most holy place {his presence} is not yet opened as long as the first section is still standing, 9 which is symbolic for the present age.  {This present reality. This entropy! A slow gehenna. We could not endure His Full Presence. Purity consumes impurity. We are still entropic/imperfect - Heb.11:40, 1Cor.15:54.}

     According to the old arrangement, gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect [teleiōsai] {satisfy} the conscience of the worshiper {once and for all} 10 but it deals only with food and drink and various washings [baptismos] and regulations imposed until the time of restoring [diorthosis - reformation, correction, improvement] {of humanity, which began with Jesus’ first advent, and will be fully completed during his long second advent}.

31 - Jesus went back to Capernaum of Galilee, and was teaching on the Sabbath. 32 The people were astonished at his teaching, for his words were skillful and spoken with authority. 33 There was a man in the synagogue who had {was contaminated with} the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, 34 “Ha! What have you to do with us?! You Jesus of Nazareth! Have you come to destroy us?! I know who you are! The Holy One of God!”

     35 Jesus said, “Be silent and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown the man down in their midst of them, he came out, and the man suffered no injury.

     36 Amazed, the people were saying, “What is this?! For with authority and power he even commands the unclean spirits, and they obey!” 37 And so reports and word of him went out to all places in the region.

     38 After that, he left the synagogue and went to Simon's house. Simon Peter’s mother-in-law was ill with a high fever, so they appealed to him on her behalf. 39 And he went to her and rebuked the fever, and it left her, and immediately she rose, and she prepared a meal for them.

    40 Later on, when the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases, brought them to him. And he healed them by touching and laying his hands on every one of them. 41 And demons also came out of many, crying, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and wouldn’t allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Christ, the Messiah.

    42 On the next day, he went out to a lonely place. But the people looked for him and found him, and were urging him to stay with them, 43 but he said, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well. For this is why I was sent.” 44 And so in those days, he was preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

If you happened to read yesterday’s gospel reading and study, somehow I got it in a wrong order. It was way out of place. Not shocking, I’m 71 afterall, and I ‘knew’ it, but it was a busy day. ..Don’t you just love reading about Jesus’ days? You should read yesterday’s, I fixed it.

            ☀️ Romans 3:24-31

3:24 - (Verse 23 - All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God) 24 justified [dikaioó - justified, declared righteous, acquitted] freely by his grace - as a gift [dórean - freely, without cost]. A gift, by his grace [charis - grace favor, kindness, blessing] through the redemption [apolutrósis - deliverance, redemption, no lein, paid in full, recovery] that’s in Christ Jesus. 25 The one God put forward as a propitiation [hilastérion - propitiation, atonement cover, mercy seat] by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness! Because in his divine forbearance he has “passed over” our missing the mark. [Mercy Seat of God.. a means of appeasement or atonement - I am convinced it’s the human conscience that needs to be appeased.. due to the trickily honest psyche.. "Mercy Seat" - Judge who pardons? - is the lid of the Ark of the Covenant where the high priest would sprinkle the blood of the sacrifice on the “Day” of Atonement. The sacrifice has to be such that it can appease eveRy conscience. Imperfect/“missing the mark” is an abyss of potential. Think even the worst of the very worst.] 

     26 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. (Romans 11:32 - “HE has subjected all to disobedience..” Ours to learn “why”.)

     27 So then what becomes of our boasting? It’s done away with! By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith. 28 For we proclaim that one is justified by faith, apart from works of the law. 29 Or is God the God of the Jews (Hebrews) only? Is he not the God of Gentiles/the nations as well? Yes, of the nations also, 30 since God will justify the circumcised (followers of the Laws of Moses) by faith and the uncircumcised by faith as well. 31 Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? No! On the contrary, we uphold the law. {Summed up as love, genuine affection, concern, and respect.}

            🌙 Matthew 8:1-17

8:1 - When Jesus came down from the mountain, great crowds were following him. 2 A leper came and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, if you will! You can make me clean!” 3 Jesus reached out his hand and touching him, said, “I will. Be clean.” The leprosy immediately disappeared, 4 and Jesus said, “Don’t tell anyone. {Spreading the news abroad.} But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses instructed, as a proof to them.”

     5 When he was in Capernaum, a Roman centurion came and said to him, 6 “Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.” 7 And Jesus said, “I’ll come and heal him.” 8 But the centurion said, “Lord, I’m not worth your having to come under my roof! Only say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I too am a man with authority, I have soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

     10 When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those around him, “Truly, I tell you, no where in all Israel have I found such faith! 11 Many, I tell you, will come from east and west and will recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, 12 while sons and daughters of the kingdom will be outside the light, in darkness, where there’s weeping and gnashing of teeth.” {Surely inner! And portrayed in both the rich man and Lazarus parable and the outside of the vision narrative of Rev.22. With gnashing of teeth progressing to weeping.. and beating self up with many stripes, because Jesus said he “will draw all” Jn.12:32.}

    13 And to the centurion Jesus said, “Go on home! You’ll find it done for you just as you’ve believed!” And the servant was healed at that very hour.

     14 When Jesus entered Peter's house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying sick with a fever, 15 so he touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she rose up and began to prepare a meal for them. 16 And that evening they brought to the house many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick. 17 This fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, “He took our illnesses and carried our diseases.”

25 - The high priest entered the most holy place every year [on Day of Atonement, middle of the three Autumn holy days. It’s interesting isn’t it? How Jesus fulfilled so very perfectly the Spring holy days with his first, so brief advent. It was down to the days, the hours, the minutes. Everything God makes and does is in patterns.. One day “even the pots and plates will be holy”. His patterns are sacred. The most sacred art. Everything.

      It’s veiled.. of course (Father does love a good riddle?) just how perfectly he fulfilled the three Spring holy days, four if we count Pentecost. First, there’s three Sabbaths of the week so three prep days.. Passover and Unleavened Bread were called interchangeably, as was the whole week referred to as both.. and more veils.]

     But Jesus (on DOA) entered the one time. Nor would it be to offer himself repeatedly. 26 For then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the consummation of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. {Father and Son both suffer the worst? Especially as God is Life.. so witnesses and lives through it all. And endowed thinking and reasoning anyway.} 27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and then is judgment [Rev.20] {But the chapter is told like describing the crests of waves, and not much of the in between}. 28 So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of (the?) many [polýs - often, mostly, largely, multitude, many, most, altogether, common, great in amount, extent] will appear a second time, not to deal with sin [hamartia - missing the mark] {this crucible, imperfection/entropy} but {that dealt with} to save those who are eagerly awaiting him.

MATTHEW 12 46-50

46 - While he was still speaking to the crowd of people, word came that his mother and his brothers were outside, asking to speak to him. 48 But he replied to the one bringing word, “Who is my mother? And who are my brothers?” 49 And stretching out his hand toward his disciples/followers/students, he said, “Here. These are my mother and my brothers. 50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” {And then very likely of course he went out to them or had them brought in to him, being a good Hebrew/Jewish son and brother. Yet, we who believe/follow are truly his brothers and sisters, being progressively transformed into his likeness — and if he returns (fully) in our lifetime, we will go through the door of the ten bridesmaids parable (Mt.25:1-13) to help and serve, called reigning, during His long second advent of “the” millennium Sabbath rest, from enmity, and during the second half of the advent is - the “8th ‘day’” the “last great day” during which shall be fully removed from humanity the self first and foremost (foreskin) from off of humanity, Lev.23:36, Jn.7:37. The holy days of Leviticus 23 being another outline of Father’s “administration of ages” Eph.1:10. The first outline being the week plus one. The Spring holy days which were so perfectly fulfilled by the Lord’s first brief advent - died on Passover, in the grave as 1st Day of Unleavened Bread began (at sunset/hebrew days & calendar) and rose exactly three days later as weekly Sabbath was ending and third holy day, “Firstfruits” was beginning. So? Logically the more stretched out Fall holy days are fulfilled by his long second advent. A full scope version of his first so brief one (surely? since it is GOD who chooses WHEN each one is called, and corrected, etc).

     Revelation chapter 20 is told like describing the crests of waves, without much about the in between the crests.. a repeated way and theme of the scriptures.. (gap theories).

     And - the three mentions of “lake of fire” are at veRy large fiery EVENTS. Also this present life as we presently know it, of imperfection, which is entropy proceeding to death/state of being gone. A slow gehenna fade, and unavoidable, aLL important contrast. Unavoidable unless creation is to be a mere and total ant farm. And see how it is one and done! - For “all of heaven” angelos, “and all of earth” anthropos. God having opted instead of a total ant farm, for total ‘herd’ immunity. The dis-ease as part of the cure ..and immunity. God being (surely?) Life itself and “is Perfect”.

     “Perfect” also means the ‘end’ result of all this - greek word “tel” - the “end-aim” can onLy be the very best one possible.

     The Fall Holy Days (ancient, of Lev.23) -

TRUMPETS of Rev & return at the 7th — 10days/1000yrs later — (GWT) ‘DAY’ oF ATONEMENT, DOA for the INITIALLY doa, the inner conditions of SOME ->portrayed in the rich man and Lazarus parable and in the outside-of-the vision narrative of Rev.22. — 5days/500yrs later — TABERNACLES, “new heavens and earth, Rev.21:5, 2Pet.3:12-13, and “God will now TABERNACLE/tent/camp/dwell with mankind, Rev.21:3. (The - first - half of the “8th” day contains the adversary - first gone rogue one - is released, and he goes out and gathers mankind and nations - descendants of mortal survivors of the man done apocalypse/culmination, once again to war (slander, accusations, DIVISION sure to once again be the siren call) against the millennial Jerusalem.. then is the second mention of a lake of fire (occurring). Romans 3:4 - “..Let God be true though every person a liar. As it is written - ‘So that You (God) may be proved right when You speak and victorious when You are judged.” …One and done! Case closed. Truth proven. GOD is Life, and there is no other “way”.} Imho ✌🏼☮️🕊️

11 - Then I saw a great white throne and he who was seated upon it. And from his face flees heaven and Earth, and no place/opportunity is found for them. 12 And I (John) saw the dead, the great and the small, standing [histémi - to make to stand, placed, set up, established, appointed] before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged (🤔 Jn.5:22 - “the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son.” And  Jn.12:47 - “And if any one hears my words, and doesn’t believe, I do not judge them. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.” He came [and comes?] not to judge but to save. So who will judge? Logically, what is the most effective judgment and concluding discernment?) according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead in it, and death and hades/sheol/the grave [Eccles.9:5,10] gave up the dead in them, and - each person - was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then (after completion) death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. (First being the one that is “in Adam” so the second one is the death of death, and all its shadow.) 15 [Word for word translation] - And if [ei - if] anyone not was found in the book of life having been written, they were cast into the lake of fire. 21:1 (For) then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth” [2Pet.3:12-13 - “the elements melted in a furious heat”] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea (separating).

     2 And I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband (radiant). 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with mankind, and He will tabernacle with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be among them as their God.”

📜 🗞️ The revelation vision is told 3 times: 6:1-2 to 11:19; chap.12 w/ Mt.23:39; and 13:1 to 19:11.

Jesus’ brief first advent perfectly fulfilled the ancient Spring Holy Days, more perfectly than is easily seen. So logically his long second advent will fulfill the Autumn Holy Days, their names and pattern:

  TRUMPETS (of Rev, return at 7th during the concurrent bowls) - 10days/1000yrs - to ‘DAY’ oF ATONEMENT - 5days/500yrs - to TABERNACLES — a fiery regenesis, “All new.. God will now tabernacle with mankind” Rev.21:1-5.

Day Of Atonement

     It will be easier for some during the aionion/eonian correction (kolasis) than it was for some during correction-kolasis that is during “what’s called today”.

    Why? Logic. (Root word of which is Logos.) Jesus said, “ALL those in the tombs will hear His voice and will come forth” (from the graves/tombs) “some in the resurrection of life, and some in the resurrection of judgment” (Jn.5:28-29) which judgment, is “after the thousand years” (Rev.20:5).

     In his explanation of the parable of the sheep and goats, about the goats he said, “these will rise into aionion-kolasis/*agelasting-correction* but the righteous into aionion life” (Mt.25:46). (The believers, both alive, and not alive at His coming, will rise into the millennium.)

     Imagine you never heard about Jesus during your lifetime. Then you rise from your grave/tomb. If it is into the brightness of God’s Presence (Spirit) perhaps initially you may feel fear or be very conscious of your flaws, not yet having them washed away by the reconciliation with God through Jesus. But! Wouldn’t you be happy to find yourself alive?! Loved ones and friends alive.. Then there’s the news and offer of reconciliation! You don’t have to work yourself through the many untruths taught. Nor through the blasphemies upon His character and ability.. And upon Who He Is. The bright Presence, granted, for the hitlers of the world, large and small, may indeed tremble in fear and feel a burning dread. But for others the glow from His being, shall be warm and full of not only peace, but joy. Because thAt’s Who He Is.

     Because of the pattern of the Fall Holy Days - Lev.23:24-44 - I believe “the Judgment” (aionion/eonian correction) shall last five hundred years. And logic suggests to me it will include a Great Review of History - even though it’s the same story over and over, both collectively and individually. Yes, being endowed with the ability to think and reason, one cAn stray away from God - who is Life. And who “is perfect” (Mt.5:48) making imperfect to be not only the opposite of Life, and thus death/nonlife, but a veritable abyss of potential. That abyss is within every wayward heart. But what value is there in including a visible option to stray in Eden, “in the middle of the garden” no less, if it’s not let to run its course?

     Straying from God/Life/Perfection can only ever result in ruin (apocalypse) and ultimately death (which is lack of life, Eccles.10:5,9).

     Hence the remedy and the resurrection (of two occurrences) were built in from the beginning/foundation. Christ Crucified is a strong enough image to ultimately pierce through every guilty conscience and hard, stony, even hating, heart. Oh yes the hitlers may initially experience weeping, gnashing of teeth and deep outer darkness (the setting of the parable of the rich man and Lazarus and of the outside of the vision narrative of Revelation, chapter twenty-two). And don’t you think that’s how it should be?

     But what a traumatic ‘day’! All people rising from all the generations.. So many things to work out and examine. Even those who were preached to by the Lord through Noah while the ark was being prepared - who’s “every thought was only evil” - after perishing in the flood, the next thing they will know, they will be alive again! (1 Pet.3:19-20; 2Pet.2:5)

     After “the Judgment” is a - fiery - ReGenesis, when God “makes all new”. (The word “things” is added to the verse, Rev.21:5, but the word “pas” - “every, all, the whole” is only one word, not two.)

     Again! Much like the “fiery” return/arrival of Jesus when the tares are gathered to a fire - Mt.13:30; Rev.16:14,16; 2Thess.1:7,8 - and then through the fire the wheat rises to meet Him at His coming/appearing. All dross and chaff consumed.. They “will be jewels in the day that He makes up His jewels”. (Malachi 3:17)

     “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour, until ALL was leavened.” (Mt.13:33, key word 3)

     The three - 1Cor.15:21-28 - “For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23 BUT each in turn: (1)Christ, the firstfruits (barley harvest); then, (2)when he comes, those who belong to him (wheat harvest). 24 Then the end will come - when - he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he “has put everything under his feet” …so that (3)God may be all in all” (grape harvest, fiery ReGenesis, and the rest of the all, made new).

     And “God will now - tabernacle - with man.” (Rev.21:5) - “The Kingdom” completed.

     “The bear will graze with the cow, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox ..everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fruit tree

and no one will make them afraid, for the Lord Almighty has spoken/promised.” (Isaiah 11:7; Micah 4:4)

      

     

All Things Reconciled

It's gotten lodged in my head that as the spring feasts, Passover, Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits, were fulfilled by Jesus at His first advent ("...that we may be unleavened.. for Christ our Passover has been sacrificed" 1 Cor 5:7, and "Christ the Firstfruits" 1 Cor 15:23) ..then surely the Autumn Feasts prophecy, and will be fulfilled by the second advent!?
     Leviticus 23, of course, lists the Feasts of God beginning with Israel's weekly Sabbath. Hebrews 4:3 & 9 says "...enter that rest ..a rest for the people of God" which of course is Jesus, thus even the weekly Holy Day/Sabbath is fulfilled by Jesus (Heb 3:18-4:10).
     I like how Young's Literal Translation puts the whole thing (God saith) in Leviticus 23:2 "these are My appointed seasons".
With the Fall Festivals being of the month (tishri / sept-oct) -
  ..Day 1 - "Trumpets"; Day 10 - the "Day of Atonement"; and Day 15 - the Feast of "Tabernacles", I'm thinking the peaks of what is prophesied as the second advent of Jesus, correlate.. Going something like this:
  ..Year 1 - Christ's return and the first resurrection ..."immediately after the tribulation of those days... with a great sound of a trumpet... will gather His elect from the four winds under heaven.."
  ..Year 1000 - occurs the second resurrection and the "Day of Judgment" [Because of the numbers, 1st, 10th & 15th, and because we know the millennial rule of Christ is prophesied to last 1000 years, I'm thinking the numbers have meaning (correlate) with days being years, and adding two zeroes to each, the 10th and the 15th; day 1 becoming year 1; day 10 becomes year 1000; and day 15,year 1500; making Judgment Day to last 500 years.]
 -The Day of 'Judgment' ends with, or is followed by the notorious words "those not written in the book of life" (those not believing) "will go to the" (cleansing ageduring) "lake of fire".
..But! after all have experienced [#1] being resurrected from the sleep of death (1 thes 4) and [#2] witnessing and living through an 'age' of the review and examination of all things (all human history,etc), who's not going to "believe"? I would think not many. There's really only one verse, I know of, which can possibly be used to suggest one MUST believe before their death, which is when Jesus told the pharisees unless they repent they would "die in their sins" but I think all this means is the first resurrection where immortality "is put on" far surpasses the second resurrection (for a time).
-All this, to my way of seeing it, turns the Day of Judgment to a GreaT Day of Atonement, at-one-ment / Reconciliation, but also being a day of repentance and weeping as became practiced by Israel.
  ..Year 1500 - a new heaven and a new earth.. the new Jerusalem comes down.. "behold the Tabernacle of God is among men and He will dwell among them". God the Father will "Tabernacle" with man upon perfect earth in a perfect universe... An un-breakable perfection because the full knowing of good from evil (life from death) will be deeply etched upon every heart and mind/psyche. Surely God can only be perfect, therefor the 'end' result of all this can only be the best one possible!

A "Surprise!?"

If it is so widely accepted that Jesus fulfilled the Hebrew Spring Holy Days by His death (Passover), burial (Unleavened Bread), resurrection and ascension (Firstfruits/Single Wheat Sheaf waved) - all which is commonly known as fulfilled by His First Advent, then why not connect the dots concerning the Hebrew Autumn Holy Days as prophecy pertaining to, and being fulfilled by, His long Second Advent? ...the Fall Holy Days, beginning with "Trumpets" [fulfilled by the Revelation trumps 1-7 & Mt 24, verses 48 through 51 - "immediately after the tribulation of those days.. He will send out His angels with the mighty sound of a trumpet.."] and ending with the Feast of "Tabernacles" [fulfilled by Revelation 21,verses 1 through 3 - "..a new heavens and new earth.. and new Jerusalem come down to earth.. the Tabernacle of God is with man and He will dwell with them.." (i.e., God the Father, Himself, will live with man upon perfect earth and in perfect universe)].
 - Why can it not be seen, the Holy Day in the middle of these two, the "Day of Atonement" and what peak of the Second Advent might "Day of Atonement" correlate to? Being between His return (Trumpets) and the Father coming to "Tabernacle" (tent) with mankind?
 - And for anyone who loves a quiz, how might Rev 20:15 (in context 11-15) fit in (more precisely, where, might it fit in)? And what exactly is verse 15th's requirement?
