12/23 ~ From New Testament Letters
🕊️ (In the Order Believed Written)
1 - Therefore, having this work, it’s by the mercy of God, that we do not lose heart. 2 And we renounce all disgraceful, underhanded ways, refusing to cunningly tamper with God's word. But by openly stating the truth, we commend ourselves to everyone's scrutiny in the sight of God. 3 And if our gospel is veiled {misunderstood} it’s veiled to those who are {still} perishing. 4 For the god of this world blinds the minds, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel, in the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we proclaim is not ourselves! But Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for the cause of Jesus. 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness” has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Jesus the Christ/the Messiah.
7 But this treasure and blessing we have in jars of clay, to prove the surpassing power belongs to God, and not to us. 8 For we are afflicted in every way. But we’re not crushed. Troubled by men, but not driven to despair, 9 persecuted, but not forsaken, struck down, but not defeated. 10 Always carrying in this body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus in us, may also be shown.
