12/05 ~ From New Testament Letters
π️ (In the Order Believed Written)
29 - So in meeting, let two or three prophets speak, and let the others consider with discernment what is said. 30 And if then a revelation is given to another, the first should let that one speak. 31 So that all may prophesy one by one, and all may learn together and be encouraged. 32 One who prophecies is in control of their own spirit. {It’s not like being ‘possessed’ as would occur in pagan observances and rites.} 33 For God is a God of peace, not confusion [akatastasia -disorder, confusion, instability, tumult, chaos; from - a - not, and katastasis - order, stability]. As in all the meetings of believers, 34 the women in meeting should keep silence not talking [laleΓ³ - conversing, speaking, talking, from lalos - talkative] but should be in order, as the Law also says. 35 If there are questions they desire to learn, they can ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful to be talkative in church.
36 Is it from you the word of God came? Or are you the only ones it has come to? 37 If anyone thinks that they are a prophet, or spiritual, they should acknowledge that the things I am writing to you are instructions of the Lord. 38 If anyone doesn’t recognize this, ignore them. 39 So, my brethren, earnestly desire to prophesy, and don’t forbid speaking in tongues. 40 But let all things be done decently and in order.
