GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 21:33-46

33 - “Listen to another parable,” Jesus said. “There was a master of a house who planted a vineyard. He put a fence around it and he dug a winepress, and built a tower and then he leased it to tenants, and traveled to another country. 34 When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his workers to the tenants to get the fruit. 35 But the tenants took his workers and they beat one, stoned one, and killed another. 36 A little later, he sent other workers, more than the first. And they did the same to them. 37 Finally he sent his son thinking, ‘Surely they’ll respect my son.’ 38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.’ 39 And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40 When therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?” 41 They said to him, “He will put them to a miserable death and let the vineyard out to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their season.”

42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures - ‘The stone the builders rejected is the cornerstone. This is the LORD’s doing, and it is a wonder to our eyes’? 43 Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people who will produce its fruits. 44 And the one who falls on this stone will be broken, and when it falls on someone, they will be as winnowed.”

45 When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they knew he was talking about them. 46 But although they were looking for a way to arrest him, they feared the crowds, because the people held him as a prophet.

                  ~ Philippians 3:15-21 ~

15 - Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal it to you. 16 Only let us hold true to what we have attained. 17 Friends, be a fellow imitator (of the Lord) with me, and observe those who walk according to this example. 18 For many, which I have told you of and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19 They will inherit ruin, their god is emptiness, and they are proud of their shameful deeds, ever mindful of everything worldly. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and we await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all [“pas” - all, the all] to himself.
