GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 24:1-6

1 - Jesus was walking away from the temple, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. 2 But his answer was, “Do you see all this? Truly, I tell you, there will not remain here one stone upon another, that will not be thrown down.” [A few days previous - Lk.19:41,44 - “And when he drew near to Jerusalem” riding from Mt. of Olives on the colt of a donkey, he wept, saying.. “..they will not leave one stone upon another within you” - (Of Jerusalem.. Not one stone of her shall remain atop another. I think this may be proof of the “70 weeks” gap - the gap being the times of the nations/gentiles, Dn.12:11(12).

3 A little later as Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives (across the valley from Jerusalem) the disciples came to him saying, “When will these things be? And what will be the sign of your [sos - your] coming [parousia - a presence, a coming, arrival, advent] and the end [synteleia - a joint payment (for public service), joint action, spec. completion, from syn - close with, and teleo - completion, culmination, an end involving many parts, consummation] of the age?” (Aionion syntéleia, when syntéleia occurs with aiōn/age - a complete consummation/end?) 4 And Jesus answered, “See that no one misleads you. 5 For many will come in my name saying I am the Christ, (but?) will mislead many. 6 And you will hear of wars about to be, and reports of war. But do not be troubled or afraid, this is inevitable, but the end is not yet.

                  ~ 1 Timothy 4:9-16 ~

9 - Reliable is the saying, and full of all (pas - all) acceptance and approval [apodoxḗ - from apodéxomai - gladly receive, full-welcoming acceptance, the ready, glad acknowledgment that goes with welcoming the source of the statement, note the apo - from, receive heartily, welcome] 10 for to this end [godliness] we toil and strive, because our hope is set upon the living God, who is the Savior of all people [ánthrōpos – man, also the generic term for "mankind" - the human race] especially (true) of those believing [pistos - persuaded]. 11 Proclaim and teach these things.12 Let no one disregard you for your youth, but set for them an example in your speech, in your conduct, in love and faith, and in purity. 13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture and to the urging and teaching. 14 Don’t neglect the gift you have, which was given to you by prophecy when the council of elders laid (prayerful) hands on you. 15 Practice these things. Saturate yourself in them, so that all may see your progress, 16 keeping a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Continuing in it, for the safety of yourself, and of your hearers. (For truth sets free! Jn.8:32. Jesus prayed, “Sanctify them in the truth, your word is truth” Jn.17:17.)
