GospeL Verses ~ John 11:55-12:8

55 - Passover was approaching, and many went up from the country to Jerusalem, before Passover, to purify theirselves. 56 They were looking for Jesus and saying to one another as they stood about in the temple, “What do you think? Will he come to the feast?”  (It was required that all males should come, but the Pharisees were looking for the opportunity to arrest him and have him executed.)

57 The leaders [chief priests] and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where he was, they should come and report it to them.

12 Six days before Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, who Jesus had raised from the dead. 2 So they gave a dinner for him there. Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those reclining with him at table. 3 Mary took a pound of expensive fragrant oil made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. 4 But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples, the one who was about to betray him, said, 5 “Why was this fine oil not sold and the money given to the poor?” 6 He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief! Having charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to some of the coins. 7 Jesus said, “Leave her be, she is doing it for the day of my burial. 8 For the poor are always with you, but you do not always have me with you.”

                  ~ Philippians 2:4-11 ~

4 - Let each one of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to go after, 7 but he emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, by being born in the likeness of man. 8 And while human, he humbled himself by becoming obedient, to the point of death, even to death on a  (Roman) cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and has bestowed upon him the name/title that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth. (This “under the earth” baffles me. Considering so much else, beneath ground? All living and dead?) 11 and every tongue (will) confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the gloRy of God the Father. [Isaiah 45:23 - “I (Father God) have sworn by my own name” - there’s none higher to swear an oath by - “I speak the truth, a word that I will not take back - that to me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall swear allegiance.“ Joyful, satisfying allegiance.] (God is Life.. Love ..Laughter.. So why is there death? Because there is power of choice ..in lieu of being some sort of ant farm. But! The aLmighty Genius has got this..
