GospeL Verses ~ John 12:20-36
20 - Now among those who went up to worship at the feast, the week of Passover/Unleavened Bread, were some Greeks. 21 And they came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and said to him, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” 22 So Philip went and told Andrew (who is Peter’s brother). And then Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus. 23 And Jesus answered, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 Truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it will bear a lot of fruit. 25 Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever doesn’t love his life less in this world (than the kingdom life) will keep their it for unfading life. 26 If anyone serves me, they must follow me. And where I am, there my servant will be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor them.
27 “Now my soul is troubled. And what should I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But it’s for this purpose that I have come to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name.” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.” 29 The crowd standing there heard it and said it had thundered. Others said, “An angel spoke to him!” 30 Jesus answered, “This voice came for your sake, not mine. 31 Now the judgment of the world will be. And now the ruler of this world will be cast out. 32 For I, if I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all to myself.” 33 He said this to show what kind of death he was about to die. 34 But the crowd answered him, “We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. What do you mean the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?” 35 Jesus answered, “The light is not among you for very much longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness should overtake you. The one who walks in darkness doesn’t know where they are going. 36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become inheritors of light.” When Jesus had said these things, he left and went somewhere to be alone..

~ 1 Peter 1:1-7 ~
1 - Peter, an apostle of Jesus - To those who are elect [eklektos - chosen out] and sojourners of the Dispersion who are in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. 2 Who according to the foreknowledge [prognΓ³sis - foreknowing, predetermination] of God the Father, for the sanctification of the Spirit (Presence of God) unto obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: May grace and peace be multiplied to you. (Sprinkling with his blood. Logically, what is it really that demands to be appeased? Most logically. …Our own conscience! And consider, it has to be strong enough to convince even the most cruel and decadent, etc.)
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again, adhering to the living hope [elpis - expectation] displayed by the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. 4 It’s an inheritance that is imperishable, unsullied, and unfading, and kept in heaven for you 5 who are being guarded by God's power through the living faith, for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last days. 6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, it’s inevitable, you have been grieved by various trials. 7 But which prove the genuineness of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes - though tested by fire, it may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
