GospeL Verses ~ John 14:22-31 ~
22 - Judas (not Iscariot) said to Jesus, “Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal [emphanizó - exhibit, appear in person, declare, reveal] yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered, “If anyone loves me, they will do as I have said, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Whoever doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. And what you have heard me say, isn’t from me, but is from the Father who sent me.
25 “I have told you these things while I’m still with you. 26 But the helper [paraklétos - called to one's aid, from para - close beside, and kaleo - to call, (the) advocate] the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) which [ho - who, which, this, that] the Father will send in my name (for his cause) [onoma - a name, authority, cause]. He will teach you all things and will bring to mind, and to your memory all which I have said to you. 27 It’s peace I am leaving with you. It’s my peace I give to you. I don’t give as the world gives, so don’t let your hearts be troubled! Don’t be afraid. (His answer to Judas’ “Lord, what has happened..?”)
28 You heard me say, ‘I’m going away, but I will come to you.’ If you love me, you will rejoice, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 And I have been telling you before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe [pisteuó - to believe, entrust, (know the truth of the matter?) from pístis - faith, in turn derived from peíthō - persuade, be persuaded, have confidence]. 30 I will not talk with you much longer, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has - no claim - upon me, 31 but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father.
Rise, let us go from here.”

~ 1 Peter 3:15-22 ~
15 - In your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope [elpis - expectation, hope] that is in you. And do so with respect, humility and gentleness. 16 So as to have a good conscience, for when you are slandered, those who insult your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. 17 For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be, than for doing evil. 18 For Christ suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, 19 in which (Spirit) he went and reached to the spirits under watch [phulassó - to guard, watch] (locked into perishing in the flood) 20 having disobeyed in time past, awaiting (during) the longsuffering of God, in [en - in, on, at, by, with, within] the days of Noah, when making ready and preparing the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water. (Paraphrased of the original word for word. Since “the dead know nothing” Eccles.9:5(10), I think he went via the Spirit preaching - through “Noah a preacher of righteousness” 2Pet.2:5, “while the ark was being prepared”.) 21 Baptism, which is like the eight, now saves you, not as a washing of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a - good conscience - through the resurrection of Jesus Christ (the “conscience” by “Christ Crucified” appeased) 22 who has gone into heaven and is now at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.
