Revelation 17 11-18

 WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

      By Necessity Slightly

             Paraphrased

(The angel continues.) 11 - “As for the beast that was and is not, it’s an eighth but it belongs to the seven {final fulfillment, seven become one?} and it goes to destruction. 12 And the ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings - for one hour - together with the beast{/entity/institution}. {Ten horns, kings, seats, divisions, toes-Dn2.} 13 These (ten) are - of one mind - and they hand over their power and authority TO the beast. 14 They will make war against the Lamb (Ps.2, Rev.6:3-4) and the Lamb will prevail [nikaΓ³ - prevail, subdue, overcome, conquer, from nikΔ“ - victory] for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.”

     15 And the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.16 And the ten horns and the beast {political} will hate the prostitute {$ity Babble}. They will make her desolate and naked, and devour {consume, waste} her and will burn her with fire {warfare}17 for God has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and handing over their royal power to the beast until the words of God are fulfilled. 18 And the woman you saw is the great city that has dominion over the kings of the earth.”

1 Corinthians 12:31-13:13

11/30 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

31 - And of course, the higher gifts are the more desirable. And I’ll tell you the most excellent way. 13 For if I should speak with a tongue of angels, but I don’t love, then I am just a noisy gong, or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and have all knowledge, or if I have all faith, so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing! 3 If I give away all I have, if I die for the cause, but have not love, I gain nothing.

     4 Love is patient and kind. Love doesn’t envy or boast. It’s not arrogant 5 or rude. It doesn’t insist on its own way. It’s not irritable or resentful. 6 It doesn’t rejoice at wrongdoings, but rejoices over the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

     8 Love never fails or passes away. As for prophecies, they pass away. As for tongues, they will cease, as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. {My mind wandered down many hallways.} When I became an adult, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see as through a glass dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, then I shall know in full, even as I have been fully known.

     13 So now faith, expectation [elpis - expectation, trust, confidence, hope? Usually/always translated, hope {a lesser degree of “expectation”/trust] and love abide, these three. And the greatest of these is love. {Faith, Trust, Love. — God is Love. Love hAs to rule, there’s no other option. Some get all tangled up in the strictness of God. 24 - So Pilate gave up and went along with their demand. 25 He released the man who was in prison for violent insurrection and murder, for whom they asked for (on Passover) and gave Jesus over to their will.

     26 And as they led him away, they made one Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, to carry the cross behind Jesus. 27 And there were following him a great number of the people, and women who were mourning and lamenting for him. 28 But Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for children’s children. 29 For behold, the days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren and the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’ 30 And then soon they will begin to say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us,’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us.’ 31 For if they do these things {crucify me} in a green leaf, what will they do in a dry leaf?” {Rev.12:15?}

1 Corinthians 12:21-30

 12/29 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

21 - The eye of a body can’t say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor the head to the feet say, “I have no need of you.” 22 Instead, the weaker members are indispensable! 23 And the members we think of as less honorable we bestow the greater honor upon, and our less noble parts we treat with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts don’t require. In the same way, God has composed the body of Christ, giving greater value {grace needed?} to parts deficient, 25 that there may be no-division in-the-body, but that the members may have genuine concern for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together. If a member is honored, all rejoice!

     27 For you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. 28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

MARK 15:16-32

  πŸƒπŸ•Š️11/29 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

16 - The soldiers led Jesus out to the court of the governor’s palace and called together the rest of their battalion. 17 Then they clothed him in a purple robe, and twisted together a crown of thorns for him to wear. 18 And putting it on his head, they saluted him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 19 And they spit on him, striking his head with reeds and knelt down before him. 20 When they were done mocking him, they stripped him of the purple robe and put his own outer clothes back on him and led him out to be crucified/executed.

     21 On the way, they compelled a passerby, Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross. [Jesus had been severely flogged, remember, and then was beaten more.] 22 And they led him to the place called Golgotha, which means Place of the Skull. {Place of the skull - he went to death, the end of entropy/imperfection, for all, a ‘ransom’ and an appeasing of even the guiltiest of consciences.}

     23 And they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he didn’t take any. 24 And they crucified him. Some were dividing his garments, casting lots to see what each should take. [Fulfilling scripture, Ps.22:18.] 25 And it was the third hour. {Hour of the daily evening, or that is, the between the evening (shadows) sacrifice? Sentenced at the hour of daily morning one?} 26 And the inscription of the charge against him read, “The King of the Jews.” [Ioudaios - from loudas - Judah or the region of Judea {yet the 12 tribes were there - via the census of Nehemiah after Cyrus king of Babylonia - which at the time once again included Assyria - said, “Let all Israel go home”. Ten northern tribes had been carried away to Assyria - their shield from the Holy Ghost/Spirit and Presence of YHVH/life having dissipated. This was in the early 700’s BCE. And then later, the southern tribes, called Judah, were carried to Babylon, in the late 500’s BCE. These were called “captivities” the Assyrian Captivity and the Babylonian captivity. One to a kingdom of war, the other to a kingdom of gold. Judah became another name for all Israel. But previously, due to civil war, the ten northern tribes were Israel, and the Southern were Judah. Each had a line of kings.}

     27 And with him, one on his left and one on his right, were two robbers also being crucified. 29 And those who passed by ridiculed him, shaking their heads and saying, “Aha! You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days! 30 Save yourself, and come down from there!” {Just a pleasant late afternoon stroll out to the “Place of the Skull”?} 31 Also the leaders, the chief priests and scribes mocked him among theirselves, saying, “He saved others! But he can’t save himself!” 32 And, “Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down from the cross that we may see it, and believe!” And those who were crucified with him also threw insults at him.

1 Corinthians 12:14-20

11/28 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

14 - For the body doesn’t consist of one part or member, but many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I’m not a hand, I don’t belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I’m not an eye, I don’t belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, how would we hear? If the whole body were an ear, how would we smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 So it is with the body of Christ. 20 There are many members, yet one body.

(The gospels as two six month readings means there is some repetitiveness.) 11 - Herod and his soldiers mocked Jesus, treating him with contempt. Then, arraying him in kingly clothing, Herod sent him back to Pilate.12 Herod and Pilate became friends that very day, when before this they had been hostile with one another.

     13 Then Pilate called together the leading priests and rulers and the people outside, 14 and he said to them, “You brought me this man as one who is misleading the people. And after interrogating him, I haven’t found him to be guilty of any of your charges. 15 Neither did Herod, for he sent him back here. Look, nothing deserving death has been done by him! 16 Therefor I’ll punish him and release him.” 18 But they all cried out, “Away with this man! Release to us Barabbas!” 19 This was a man who was in prison for murder during an insurrection. 20 Pilate addressed them once more, wanting to release Jesus (a favor each Passover, to release someone to them) 21 but they kept shouting, “Crucify! Crucify him!” 22 A third time he said, “Why? What evil has he done? I have found in him no guilt deserving of death. I will therefore punish and release him.”23 But they were vehement, demanding with loud cries that he should be crucified/executed. And their voices prevailed.

THANKFUL

 πŸπŸŒ±πŸ‚πŸƒπŸπŸͺ΄

Early this Thanksgiving I said to myself, “self, if someone asks you today what you are most thankful for, what would it be?” I was busy, early morning little chores.. dog, cats.. coffee.. And of course I thought “for each and every person I know, and have known”. But once I sat down for a.m. Quietness, it came to me like a soft and quiet light turning on, that I am most thankful for what will be.

     After 45 years now of time to study, I know the genuine message that’s in the bible. Once you know it.. once we know the what, the how, and most importantly the why of this so brief life as we presently know it, so flawed, so imperfect, a crucible (THE ‘hell’).. Entropy. We can no longer not see it. And it’s all so simple! And obvious. ..But written in riddles! Things hidden in plain sight. It’s the pre-written message that’s obvious.

     I’m thankful to know we’re all in the same boat, all going to the same place.. Rev.21:1-5, translators changed “all” to “all things” ..among other things.. The truth is really that good, that it’s hard to truly believe..

     What I am most happy and thankful for, is what will be..

1 Corinthians 12:8-13

  11/27 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

8 - To one person is given, through the Spirit, the speaking of wisdom, to another the speaking of knowledge, 9 or great faith, or the gift of healing, 10 the working of miracles, prophecy, the ability to discern between spirits, various kinds of tongues, or the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are gifts empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

     12 For just as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of the one Spirit.

LUKE 23:1-10

    πŸƒπŸ•Š️11/27 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

(The gospels as two six month readings means there is some repetitiveness.)

1 - Then the council rose and brought Jesus before Pilate. 2 And accused him, saying, “We found this man misleading our nation and forbidding us to give tribute to Caesar! Saying he himself is Christ, a king!” 3 And Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” And he answered, “You have said it, not I.” [Such was punishable by death.] 4 Then Pilate said to the chief leaders and the crowd, “I find no guilt in this man.” 5 But they insisted, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, from Galilee even to this place.”

     6 When Pilate heard this, he asked whether the man was a Galilean. 7 And when he learned that he belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him over to Herod, who was in Jerusalem at the time. 8 And when Herod saw Jesus, he was happy, for he  had wanted to see him for some time, having heard a lot about him. And he was hoping to see him work a miracle. 9 So he questioned him at some length, but Jesus stayed silent. 10 But the leaders, chief priests and scribes, stood by, angrily accusing him.

     [ This Herod, called Herod Antipas was a son of Herod the Great. Herod Antipas is the one who unwillingly put John the Baptist to death. Herod the Great is the one who killed all the very young boys and babies of Bethlehem, trying to kill Jesus after his birth, as the birth had made quite a stir. Rev.12:4, bible prophecy often takes no account of time - like in this verse, Rev.12:14 - “the dragon” - original gone rogue one - “drags with his tail one third of the stars..” - I.e. one third of the angels joined the “covering angel over Eden” in his revolt. Then as in the next breath it seems, he then turned to devour the “manchild”/Son of man who had been born from the woman.. “a great sign..”

     But we know there’s a great gap of time between Eden and the birth of Christ.

     Herod the Great, the father, is the one of Rev.12:14 and Matthew 2, who tried to kill Jesus when born. And his son, Herod Antipas is the one who had executed John the Baptist. Jesus and this John, were cousins.

1 Corinthians 12:1-7

11/26 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

1 - Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers and sisters, I don’t want you to be uninformed. {After important scolding on daily matters, addresses them as brothers and sisters. Corinth was a huge city, very pagan in attitude and practices.} 2 You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols. However you were led. 3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.

     4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are varieties of service, but the same Lord. 6 And there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. 7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

1 - When morning came, all the chief priests and leaders of the people took counsel together, against Jesus, to have him put to death. 2 And they bound him and led him away to Pilate the governor.

     3 Then when Judas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus was condemned, he changed his mind and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief leaders, 4 saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood!” They said, “What is that to us?” 5 And throwing down the pieces of silver into the temple, Judas departed, and went out and hung himself.

     6 The chief priests said, “It’s not lawful to put the silver into the treasury, since it’s blood money.” 7 So they talked it over and with it bought the potter's field as a burial place for strangers. (A field of a potter’s throwaway broken pottery pieces. Metaphor - all us broken vessels/pottery, bought with 30 pieces of silver.) 8 And so that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day. 9 Then was fulfilled what was spoken [long ago] by the prophet Jeremiah - “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of he, on whom a price had been set by some of the sons of Israel, 10 and they gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord directed.” {“Christ Crucified” is a strong enough message and image to reach even the very guiltiest of humanity ..think despots.. serial killers..  and ultimately their heart and gut wrenching remorse.. Acts 17:1-14

        WeekLy BooK oF Acts

(Where Did Paul Get His Message?)

(After being beaten, flogged and jailed in Philippi) 1 - They passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, and came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue, 2 so Paul went in, as was his custom, and on three Sabbaths he reasoned from the Scriptures [how Jesus fulfilled the suffering messiah prophecies, and Isaiah 53:4 - “Surely He has borne our infirmities..”] 3 explaining and proving that it was predicted the Christ would suffer and rise from the dead [Ps.16:10] and saying, “This Jesus, whom I proclaim to you is the Christ” [Christos - Christ, anointed one, messiah, from the Greek verb χρίω-chrio - to anoint]. 4 And some who were there were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did many of the devout Greeks and quite a few of the leading women. 5 But the leaders were jealous, so they sought out some men from the market square. And persuaded them to form a mob and a rabble, and set the city in uproar. {Hired agitators.} They attacked the house of Jason, 6 and forced him and some of the brothers out into the crowd, and then dragged them before the city authorities, shouting, “These men who have turned the world upside down have come here, 7 and Jason has received them! And they’re all acting against the decrees of Caesar! Saying there’s another king, Jesus!” 8 And the people and the city authorities were disturbed when they heard this. 9 So they took money as security from Jason and the rest, and then they let them go.

     10 The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the synagogue. 11 Now these people were more noble than those in Thessalonica, and received the word/message with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if all were so. [Paul, previously Saul, had been a Pharisee, and was raised and educated in the scriptures.] 12 Many of them believed, with quite a few Greek women of high standing as well as men. 13 But when the synagogue leaders from Thessalonica learned that the message of God was proclaimed by Paul at Berea, they came there and agitated and stirred up the crowds there as well. 14 Then the brothers immediately sent Paul off by way of the sea, but Silas and Timothy remained in Berea for a while.

1 Corinthians 11:30-34

  11/25 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

30 - This is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have even died. 31 But if we judge ourselves truly, we would fare better. 32 And when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be judged along with the world.

     33 So then, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. 34 If someone is famished, let them eat at home, so that when you come together it will not earn judgment. About the other questions you have I will address them when I come.

MARK 15:1-15

  πŸƒπŸ•Š️11/25 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

1 - As soon as it was morning, the leaders held a council, the chief priests with the elders and scribes and the whole council. And decided to take Jesus bound to the Roman governor Pilate.

     2 Pilate questioned him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” And Jesus answered, “You have said so, not me.” [Under Rome, declaring himself king would mean execution.] 3 The leading priests were accusing him of many things, 4 and Pilate said, “Have you no answer?” 5 But Jesus remained silent, and Pilate was amazed.

     6 Now at the feast each year [of Passover week] Pilate would release a prisoner being held, whomever they asked for. 7 And among the rebels in prison was one, Barabbas who had committed murder in an insurrection. 8 And a crowd which had gathered began to ask Pilate for the year’s Passover release. 9 And he answered them, “Do you want me to release the King of the Jews?” 10 For he knew it was out of envy that the leading priests had apprehended him. 11 But the leaders had been working the crowd, and successfully stirred them up to ask for Barabbas.

     12 “Then what shall I do with the man you call the King of the Jews?” Pilate asked. 13 And they cried out, “Crucify him!”

     14 “But why? What has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Crucify him!” 15 So Pilate, wanting to satisfy the crowd, released to them Barabbas, and having Jesus flogged, he delivered him over to be executed.

     {Sentenced at morning sacrifice on Passover, one of three “preparation days” of the week, which of course are preparation days for the three Sabbaths of Spring holy week. For a few reasons, it is not at first easy to see how exact it was that Jesus’ first so brief advent fulfilled the Spring holy days. But after understanding that, might we wonder about the parallel between the stretched out Fall holy days and His long second advent? Leviticus chapter 23. The days being Trumpets, 10days later — ‘Day’ of Atonement, 5days later — Tabernacles.

     “Behold! I make all new! …God will now tabernacle with man.. And the lion will eat straw like the ox, the bear will graze with the cow.. For there will be no more death. And no mourning, or sorrow.” A (fieRy) “palin/again- genesis” having occurred, Rev.21:1-5, Is.11:7, translated “the regeneration”.

     Note - “the” millennium is a Sabbath millennium, so logically, the next millennium is an “8th day” the “last great day” (Lev.23:36, Jn.7:37) when 1. The adversary, original gone rogue one, is released and he gathers, once again, a multitude - they are descended from mortal survivors of the apocalypse. Gathers them to another fieRy armageddon, Rev.20:7-10. And, after that concludes, 2. the GWT judgment ‘day’. Which in Matthew 25:46, Jesus calls agelasting correction [“kolasin aionion” oR “korrection eonian”] the completing of drawing all, Jn.12:32! [JN.5:28-29.] And surely(?) it’s a same process of refinement/correction for all. The crucible being life as we presently know it - this unavoidable, all important contrast - which continues until vivification either at 1Cor.15:52,53 oR later, at Rev.21:5, 1Cor.15:24-28.}

1 Corinthians 11:23-29

 11/24 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

23 - For I have delivered to you what I (Paul) received from the Lord. That the Lord Jesus during the night he was betrayed took bread, 24 gave thanks, broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

     25 In the same way, he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, when you eat and drink in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you do this, you proclaim the Lord's death until he returns. 27 Whoever should the bread or drink the cup of the Lord unworthily will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. 28 Let a person examine their self, and then eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For anyone who eats and drinks without discernment eats and drinks to judgment upon their self.

Mark 14:54-72 and Luke 22:55-71

   πŸƒπŸ•Š️11/24 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

54 - And Peter had followed them at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest. He was sitting with the guards and warming himself at the fire. 55 The leaders - the chief priests and the whole council - were seeking testimony against Jesus in order to have him sentenced to death, but they couldn’t find any. 56 For many did bear false witness against him, but their testimonies didn’t agree. 57 Some stood up saying, 58 “We heard him say, ‘I’ll destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another, not made with hands.’” 59 Yet even then their testimony didn’t agree. 60 So the high priest stood up in the council and demanded of Jesus, “Have you no answer to make?! What is it that these testify against you?”

     61 But Jesus remained silent and made no answer. Again the high priest said, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?” 62 And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.” 63 And the high priest tore his garments and said, “What further witness do we need? 64 You have heard his blasphemy! What is your decision?”

     And they all condemned him as deserving death. 65 And some began to spit on him and slap his face and strike him, saying to him, “Prophesy!” And the guards as well delivered to him blows.

     66 And as Peter was outside in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest 67 saw Peter warming himself. She looked at him and said, “You also were with the Nazarene, Jesus.” 68 But he denied it, saying, “I don’t know what you mean.” And he went out into the gateway and the rooster crowed. 69 And the servant girl saw him again and said to the bystanders, “This man is one of them.” 70 But again he denied it. And after a little while the bystanders again said to him, “Certainly you are one of them. For you are a Galilean.” 71 But he began to swear and said, “I don’t know the man you are talking about!” 72 And then the rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered how Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” And he broke down and wept.

     LUKE 22:55-71 - And when they had built a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down, Peter sat down with them. 56 Then a servant girl, saw him as he sat in the light of the fire, and looking closely at him, said, “This man also was with him.” 57 But he denied it, saying, “Woman, I don’t know him.” 58 And a little later someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “No, I’m not.”59 And after an interval of about an hour still another insisted, saying, “Certainly this man was also with him, for he too is a Galilean.” 60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you’re talking about!” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. 61 And from within, the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.” 62 And he went out and wept bitterly.

Revelation 17:1-10

 WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

      By Necessity Slightly

             Paraphrased

1 - Then one of the seven angels who had the seven (concurrent?) bowls came and said to me, “Come, I’ll show you the {meanwhile} judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of earth have committed fornication.” {I.e, powers and politicians are in bed with her.} “And the dwellers upon Earth, have become drunk with the wine of her indecencies.” 3 And then he carried me (John) away in the Spirit to a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of insulting slanders, and it had seven heads and ten horns. {A many headed geopolitical beast, Dan.7:7,19.} 4 The woman {riding the beast} was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold, jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup (to drink) full of abominations and impurities. {Drinking her effects and side effects.} 5 And on her forehead was written a name, “Mystery Babylon the Great, Mother of Prostitution/Sex Slavery [pornΓ© - probably from pernΓ©mi - to export for sale] and of all Earth's Abominations [bdΓ©lygma - from bdelΓ½ssō, derived from bdēō, to reek {stink to high heaven ..as the saying goes} abhorrent, detestable]”. {$ity Babylon with it’s bright but garish streets and dark alleys, with a forehead/psyche/mind of ‘mystery babble’ - all confusion. Beast & $ity, Socialism & Capitalism both gone extreme. Oligarchy, but which ends up going all armageddon at each other(? in the valley when assembled against Israel? Just a recurring question. Yet verses 12 and 16 for sure.}

     6 And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of saints, and of martyrs, and of Jesus.” And when I saw her I wondered greatly. 7 But the angel said, “Why do you wonder? ..I’ll tell you the mystery of the woman ($ity) and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her. 8 The beast you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the abyss” {of potential, which imperfect is} “and goes to destruction.” {History repeats, first was the Roman Empire later ‘Holy’ Roman Empire; then a modern last days “was, wasn’t then was again” after the 13:13 event. Which event was carried out by an oFFice.} And those upon earth whose names are not {yet} written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder, seeing the beast that was, and is not, and will be {and will become biG, finally given breath”/life/authority especially when one from the 13:13 office lawlessly steps in}. 9 This all calls for a mind with wisdom.

     The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated. {Empires?} 10 They are also seven kings, five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he does come he must remain only a little while.”

     {Note - Prophecy repeats -> ‘smaller’ scope to —> full scope at culmination of history. Spiritually Babel Tower restored, all hell breaks loose, but slowly from our point of view, at least until the ‘cresting’ and culmination? Jn.15:4,5 “I am the vine, ye are the branches, abide in Me.”}

1 Corinthians 11:17-22

11/23 ~ From New Testament Letters

 πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

17 - But in the following, I (Paul) cannot commend you, because when you come together it’s not for the better but for the worse. 18 First thing being, when you come together as a church, I hear there are divisions among you. Perhaps 19 if there must be factions among you, perhaps it will at least reveal who are the genuine ones. 20 And when you come together, it’s not the Lord's {peaceful, togetherness} supper you eat. 21 For in eating, one piles his plate while another goes hungry. And still another gets drunk.

     22 What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or is it that you despise the church of God and humiliate those who haven’t as much as you? What shall I say? Should I praise you in this? Certainly not.

MARK 14:43-53 or LUKE 22:47-54

πŸƒπŸ•Š️11/23 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

43 - And then while he was still speaking, Judas came, who was one of the twelve, and with him a crowd with torches, swords and clubs. They came from the leaders, the chief priests, the scribes and elders. 44 Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “He who I greet with a kiss is the one.” 45 And when he came, he went up to him at once and said, “Rabbi!” And kissed him. 46 And so they seized Jesus to lead him away under guard. 47 But one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear. 48 And Jesus said, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? 49 Day after day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you didn’t arrest me. But let the Scriptures be fulfilled.” 50 And they all left him and fled. 51 And a young man had come there, with nothing but a linen cloth about his body. {Likely awoken from somewhere by the light and tumult.} And they tried to seize him, 52 but he left the linen cloth and ran away naked.

     53 And they led Jesus to the high priest. And all the chief priests, the elders and the scribes gathered there.

     LUKE 22:47 - And while he was still talking, a crowd came, and Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to greet him with a kiss, 48 but Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?” 49 And when those who were around him saw what would follow, they said, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?” 50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. 51 But Jesus said, “No, no more of that.” And he touched his ear and healed it. 52 Then he said to those who had come out against him, “Have you come out now with swords and clubs? 53 When I was with you every day in the temple? And no one laid hands on me. But this is your hour, and the hour of THE power of darkness.” {Imperfect is an abyss (of potential). There’s bound to be oppressions, the stronger will rule the not as strong and vulnerable. Just as God prophesied in Eden. It took a long time for some of humanity to crawl out from under kingly POWER. Rome for a time was a republic of city-states, a check on power, by dividing the power(s). God is the only fit ruling force and over-rule.} 54 Then they led him away, and brought him to the high priest's house, and Peter was following at a distance.

1 Corinthians 11:11-16

  11/22 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

[Answering questions sent in a letter continues.] 11 - Nevertheless, woman is not independent of man nor man of woman, including in the Lord. 12 As woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman! And all are from God. [Translators changed “all” to “all things” whenever it would work, in this verse and many more.] 13 Judge for yourselves - is it proper for a wife to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not nature {culture of the day?} itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him? {But we don’t know what was considered long or short.} 15 But if a woman has long hair, it is her glory. For her hair is given to her for a covering. 16 If anyone is inclined to be - contentious - we have no such practice, nor do the churches of God.

MARK 14:26-42 or LUKE 22:39-46

 Universalism in the New Testament

 πŸƒπŸ•Š️11/22 - GospeL Verses πŸ•Š️πŸƒ

26 - And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. 27 And Jesus said, “You will all fall away, for it’s written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’ 28 But after I’m raised up, I’ll go before you to Galilee.” 29 Peter said, “Even though they all fall away, I never will.” 30 But Jesus said, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” 31 But Peter repeated, “If I must die with you, I will not deny you.” And they all said the same. (This was true later, after Pentecost.)

       32 And they went to a garden/park called Gethsemane. And he said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” 33 And he took with him Peter, James and John, and became very troubled. 34 And said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death. Remain here and watch.” (Be sober, be vigilant.) 35 And going a little further, he fell down upon the earth and prayed if it were possible, the hour might pass from him, 36 saying, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. But not my will, but your will be done.” 37 And he came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Could you not watch one hour? 38 Watch and pray, the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 39 And again he went a little distance and prayed, saying the same words. 40 And he returned and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy, and they didn’t know what to say to him in answer. 41 And he came the third time and said, “Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? It’s enough. The hour is come. The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. 42 Rise, let us be going, my betrayer is at hand.”

     [Sin/Hamartia - “missing the mark” {of Perfection, thus this entropy, this crucible/slow gehenna, imperfection. Because God iS Life, and “is Perfect” Mt.5:48. And therefore the ‘end’ result of all this, can only be the best one possible. And imperfect can never work.}]

     LUKE 22:39 (Luke was a Greek physician, not one of the twelve.) - And he went as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples also. 40 And when he came to the place, he said, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” 41 And he went about a stone's throw away, and knelt down and prayed, 42 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours.” 43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in torment he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling to the ground. 45 And when he rose from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping for weariness, 46 and he said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

1 Corinthians 11:1-10

11/21 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

[Continuing, addressing questions the Corinthian believers had sent in a letter] 1 - Be imitators of me [Paul], as I am of Christ. 2 I commend you because you remember my words in everything by maintaining the traditions even as I delivered them to you. 3 But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. 4 Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head, 5 but every wife who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head {culture of the time?} since it is the same as if her head were shaven. 6 Yes, if she refuses to wear a head covering, she should cut off all her hair! But since it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut or her head shaved, she should wear a covering. 7 A man should not wear anything on his head when worshiping, for man is made in God’s image and reflects God’s glory. And woman reflects man’s glory. 8 For man is not of woman, but woman of man. 9 for also was a man not created because of the woman, but a woman because of the man. 10 That is why a wife ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. {Protection?} [Exousia - authority, power, right, jurisdiction, from exesti - what is allowed or permissible under the law or custom.] {Paul’s attitude seems to soften later.}

JOHN 17:12-18:2

 ⭐️πŸƒπŸ•Š️11/21 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️⭐️

[Jesus continues his prayer.] 12 - “While I was with them, I have kept them in your name [onoma - name, character, fame, reputation, cause] that you have given to me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction [apΓ³leia - destruction, ruin, loss, perdition/utter ruin {but “God is savior of all” 1Tim.4:10}] that the Scripture be fulfilled. 13 But now I’m coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled within them. 14 I have given them your word [lΓ³gos - from lΓ©gō - speaking to a conclusion - a word, being the expression of a thought, a saying, a common term - sharing a message, discourse, communication, speech, a broad term meaning reasoning expressed by words] and the world has hated them because they’re not of the world, just as I’m not of the world. 15 I don’t ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify (purify) {and make whole} them in the truth. Your word is truth.  {Untruth is like an old  cloth of raggedy holes? Two opposite ‘holeys’! Life versus entropy..} 18 As you sent me into the world, so I send them into the world. 19 And for their sake I sanctify [hagiazΓ³ - sanctify, make holy, consecrate, purify, set apart] myself, that they also may be sanctified {made whole} in truth.” [1Cor.3:14-17 talks about error and falsehood as polluting our temple - “If anyone’s work they have done, endures, they will receive a reward {they will share in the reward?} Do you not know you are a temple of God and the Spirit {presence) of God dwells in you? If anyone pollutes God's temple..” ..Remember the dude who reached out his hand to steady the Ark of the Covenant? It’s best if our message is holy and not holey..? Death - transplanting into an as yet untilled garden awaiting resurrection “into aionion kolasis” - is not the same to God as to us and the person is hades/not seen, in a state of being gone.}

     20 “I don’t ask only for these ones {jewels, Mal.3:17} but also for those who will believe in me through their word/words {and work} 21 that they will all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also will be in us, so the world will believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me, I give to them, that they be one, even as we are one. 23 I in them, and you in me, that they will become perfectly one, so the world will know that you sent me and love them even as you love me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, will be with me where I am, to see my glory that you’ve given to me, because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 Oh righteous Father, even though the world doesn’t know you, I know you. And these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name [onomo - name, reputation, cause] and I will continue to make it known {the cause} that the love with which you have loved me may be in them. And I in them.”

     18 And when he had spoken these words, he went out with the disciples across Kidron Brook, into a garden there. 2 And Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often went there with his disciples.

Acts 16:20-40

         WeekLy BooK oF Acts

20 - And when they had brought them to the magistrates, they said, “These men are Jews/Hebrews and they are disturbing our city! 21 They advocate customs that are not lawful for us as Romans.” 22 The crowd joined in attacking them, and the magistrates tore their garments and gave orders to beat them with rods. 23 And when they had beat them with many blows, they threw them into prison and ordered the jailer to keep them securely locked up. 24 Having received this order, the jailer put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.

     25 At about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening. 26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake. The foundations of the prison were shaken, all the doors were opened and everyone's bonds were loosened.

     27 When the jailer woke and saw the prison doors were open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!” 29 And the jailer called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas. 30 Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in the house. 33 And the jailer the same hour of the night, washed their wounds. And then he and all his family were baptized. 34 Then he brought them up into his house and set food before them. And he rejoiced along with his entire household to be believing in God.

     35 But then when it was day, the magistrates sent the police, saying, “Let those men go.” 36 And the jailer reported these words to Paul, saying, “The magistrates have sent to let you go. Therefore come out now and go in peace.” 37 But Paul said, “They have beaten us publicly, men who were not condemned and who are Roman citizens, and have thrown us into prison! And now do they throw us out secretly? No! Let them come themselves and let us out.”

     38 The officers reported this to the magistrates, who were afraid when they found out they were Roman citizens. 39 So they came and apologized and led them out and asked them to leave the city. 40 So they went out of the prison and went to Lydia’s house. And when they had seen the believers, they encouraged them and departed.

25 - Eat whatever is sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience. 26 For “the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof.” {Did some “covering angels” of animals join the “covering angel over Eden, when he went rogue - which of course Creator God knew he was about to when he assigned him. And this made some animals become predator? And if man had not become carnivore, humanity would have become prey? ..See how “all in heaven and earth are traversing this unavoidable, all important contrast all together at once. Angelos and anthropos.} 27 If an unbeliever invites you to dinner and you are disposed to go, eat whatever is set before you without raising any questions. 28 But if someone says to you, “This has been offered in sacrifice,” then don’t eat it, for the sake of the one who told you. 29 I’m not talking about your conscience, but theirs. For why should my liberty be determined by someone else's conscience? 30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced (judged) for that which I give thanks?

     31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 32 Give no offense to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God, 33 just as I try to please everyone in the things I do, not seeking my own advantage, but that of others, that many may be delivered. {That many might come to the Truth.}

1 Corinthians 10:14-24

11/19 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

14 - Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. 15 I speak as to sensible people. Judge for yourselves what I say. 16 The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? {They did it literally during meal time/breaking of bread? But it’s also meant for us as a spiritual formula? For success, the spiritual bread, our daily bread, the written logos to us, dipped liberally into the new wine of God’s Spirit/Presence.. Especially in these days of high information technology, it’s better to be “mind-washed” by GOD’s message - logos means “reasoning expressed in words” - than by the world, the world’s voice. If we can get past the human translator errors in the message, which has more or less hijacked the message! And, like we dump the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle out on the table, and then we separate the pieces onto the border.. and then the color matching parts.. We need to know the bible, to see the pieces and where they fit.}

     17 There is the one bread (Christ) and we who are many are one body. For we all partake of the one bread. 18 Consider the people of Israel, were not those who ate the sacrifices, participants in the altar (work)? 19 What do I imply then? That food offered to idols of the nations is anything? Or that an idol is anything? 20 No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. Surely you shouldn’t be participants with demons. 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. 22 Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

     23 “Such things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “Such things are lawful,” but not all things build up. 24 Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor. {Don’t argue about days and foods?! ..Paul was saying if eating food sacrificed to an idol will offend your brother or sister, consider that instead of our own wishes.}

24 - A dispute also arose among them, as to which of them was to be thought of as the greatest. {Lol still goes on today.} 25 And he said, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship and those in authority are called benefactors. {But what they giveth they can take away?} 26 But it is not so with you. Rather, the greatest among you, becomes as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves. 27 For who is the greater? (In the world.) One who reclines at table, or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But here I am among you as the one who serves.

     28 You are those who have been with me during my trials, 29 and I assign to you, as my Father assigned to me, a kingdom. 30 That you may eat and drink at my table - in my kingdom - and sit on thrones judging” {like the Hebrew judges of old?}  [krinΓ³ - judge, to decide, to determine; originally meant "separate." So Homer, of Ceres separating the grain from the chaff(!)] “the twelve tribes of Israel.

     31 Simon Peter, behold, Satan has demanded to have you, that he might, sift you, like wheat {the human condition?} 32 but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have recovered, strengthen your brothers.” 33 Peter said, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!” 34 Jesus said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow this day, until three times you deny knowing me.” [“This day” - the days began at sunset rather than midnight. It’s evening, Peter denied Jesus during early morning hours.]

     35 Then to all of them he said, “When I sent you out with no moneybag/wallet or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?”

     “No,” they said. 36 And Jesus said, “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a bag. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one. 37 For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled, ‘And he was numbered with criminals.’ For what is written has its fulfillment.” 38 And they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” And he said, “It’s enough.” {Mood, atmosphere.. they were going out into danger.. That night, and other times as well..? And still, the world is brutal.}

1 Corinthians 10:7-13

11/18 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

7 - Do not be idolaters as some were, as it’s written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.” 8 We must not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day. 9 We must not put Christ to the test, as some of them did and were overcome by serpents, 10 nor grumble, as some of them did and were destroyed by the Destroyer. 11 Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come. {70 CE as the end of ages, beginning of the “time of the gentiles/nations” which will have its fuller scope end of the age(s).} 12 Therefore let anyone who thinks they stand take heed lest they fall. {Especially should we think we are superior.. on a higher level than others? Can’t err..?} 13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and will not let you be tested beyond your ability, but with the temptation [peirasmos - temptation, trial, testing] he will also provide the way of escape [ekbasis- output, way of escape, exit] that you may be able to endure [hupophero - endure, suffer, bear under] it.

JOHN 16:17-33

πŸƒπŸ•Š️11/18 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

17 - So some of the disciples said to each other, “What is this he is saying? ‘A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’? And, ‘because I’m going to the Father’? 18 What does he mean by ‘a little while’? We don’t know what he’s saying.

     19 Jesus knew they wanted to ask him, so he said, “Is this what you’re asking among yourselves, what I mean by saying, ‘A little while and you won’t see me. And again a little while and you’ll see me’? 20 Truly, I tell you, you will weep and grieve, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn to joy. 21 When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world! 22 So also you have sorrow now, but I’ll see you again, and your hearts will rejoice! And no one will take your joy from you. 23 In that day you’ll ask nothing of me. Truly, I tell you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name [onoma - name, reputation, cause] he will give it to you. 24 Until now you’ve not asked in my name. Ask, and you will receive, so your joy may be full.

     25 “I have said these things to you in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech but will tell you plainly about the Father. 26 In that day you’ll ask in my name, and I don’t say I will ask the Father on your behalf. 27 For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from Him. 28 I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

     29 His disciples said, “Ah, now you are speaking plainly and not using figurative speech! 30 Now we know that you know all things and don’t need anyone to question you. And this is why we believe you came from God.”

     31 Jesus answered, “Do you now believe? 32 Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I won’t be alone, for the Father is with me. 33 I have said these things to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart, I have overcome the world.”

1 - For I (Paul) do not want you to be unaware that our fathers were - all - under the cloud. And they - all - passed through the sea. 2 And all were baptized into Moses, in the cloud and in the sea. 3 And all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them. And the Rock was Christ. 5 Nevertheless, with most of them God was not happy, and they fell in the wilderness. 6 These things took place as examples for us. That we might not desire evil [kakos - bad, evil, wicked, harmful] things as they did.

1 - “I (Jesus) have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away. 2 They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think they are doing it for God. 3 And they will do these things because they haven’t known the Father. Nor me. 4 But I have told you these things, so when the hour comes you will remember that I told you about it.

     I didn’t say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. 5 But now I’m going to the one who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 But because I’ve said these things, sorrow has filled your hearts. 7 Nevertheless, I tell you truly, it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t, the Helper won’t come to you. But if I go, I’ll send him to you. 8 And when he comes {God’s Spirit/Presence} he will convince the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment. 9 Concerning sin, because they don’t believe in me. 10 Concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer. 11 Concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. {THE scapegoat/azazel?}

     12 I still have many things to tell you, but you cannot bear [bastazΓ³ - bear, carry, endure, support] them now. 13 When however will come the Spirit of the Truth, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak of (about?) himself, but will [akouΓ³ - hear, listen, understand] and [laleΓ³ -  speak, talk, utter] and will declare to you the things coming. 14 He will glorify {and magnify?} me. For from that which is mine he will disclose to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine. Therefore I said that he will take what is mine and make it known to you.

     16 A little while, and you will see me no more. And then again, in a little while, you will see me.”

24 - Do you realize that in a race all the runners run, but only one wins the prize? So run that you may obtain it. [To his disciples on the eve of his crucifixion.] 18 - “If the world hates you, it hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. But since you’re not of the world, and I chose you out of the world, the world doesn’t like you. 20 Remember how I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they (who? rulers) persecuted me, they’ll persecute you. If they kept my word, they’ll keep yours. 21 But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they don’t know he who sent me. 22 If I hadn’t come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty, but now they have no pretext. 23 But whoever hates me hates my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works that no one else has done, they would not be guilty. But now they have seen these things {all that occurred} and have hated both me and my Father. 25 But the words written in the Law itself will be fulfilled, ‘They hated me without cause.’

     26 When the Helper comes, whom [hos, hΓ©, ho - who, what, which, that] I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who [hos, hΓ©, ho - who, what, which, that] proceeds from the Father, will bear witness about me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

17 - The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and then a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”

     18 And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as there had never been since man was upon the earth, so great was that earthquake. 19 The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered Babylon the great, to make her drink fully the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. {Full cup of consequences.} 20 And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. 21 And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven. And they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so great. {The last of “seven thunders”(?) with flashes of lightning, rumblings, and great hail. The higher and faster moisture rises, the greater the hail. Making the earth shake to and fro, Is.24:20.}

17 - For if I do this of my own ‘free’ will, I have a reward, but if not of my own will, still, I’m entrusted with a stewardship.18 What then is my reward? That in my preaching I may present the gospel free of charge, by not making use of my right in the gospel. 19 For I consider myself free from all, and have made myself a servant to all, that I might win all the more. 20 To the Jews I am as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I am as one under the law, that I might win those under the law. {In Jesus, concerning the law, we are not required, we are enabled. Our nature is changed. Jesus in us, and us in him.} 21 To those outside the law I am as one outside the law, not as outside the law of God but under the law of Christ, that I might win those outside the law. 22 To the weak I am weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people {finding common ground} that by all means I might save some. 23 I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them, its blessings. {Where is the hyped up, afterlife mythical threat?}

JOHN 15:1-17

    πŸƒπŸ•Š️11/15 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

(Jesus continues on the eve of his crucifixion) 1 - “I am the vine, and my Father is the vinedresser” [geΓ³rgos - from Ξ³αΏ† - gΔ“, meaning earth or land, and ἔργον - ergon, meaning work or task, someone who works the land, worker of the soil to plant, harvest, nurture and protect].

     2 “Any branch of the vine that doesn’t bear fruit he takes away. And every branch that does bear fruit he prunes. This is so it will be more abundant with fruit. 3 Already you are purged” [katharos - clean, pure, clear, free of contamination, released, english catharsis] “because of the words I’ve spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. The branch cannot bear fruit by itself, but only if it abides in the vine. And neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the true vine {of Life}. You are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in them, bears much fruit. And apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me, they will be like a dry branch that withers. Then the branches are gathered, and burned up in a bonfire. {Not a forever pit called ‘hell’. We must be reasonable! In the parable of the wheat and tares, the same. This slow gehenna flares up into mankind’s wars. Logically, the tares will be gathered to armageddon. The “seven thunders”? Surely there is only one thing they can be. Life apart from God? “Dust are we”. God = Life & “is perfect”. Imperfect = entropy.} 7 IF you abide in me, and my words abide in you, whatever you ask, it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father will be glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. {First comes humility.} 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. [He is the genuine Sabbath/Rest all other Sabbaths are a shadow/reflection of, Heb.4.] 10 If you keep my words and instructions, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's words and instructions and abide in his love. 11 These things I’ve spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and it may be full.

     12 “This is my instruction [entolΓ© - command, order, instruction] that you love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I tell you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what their master is doing. But I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You didn’t choose me. I chose you and I have appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should endure, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 These things I tell you, so that you will love one another.

1 Corinthians 9:12-16

11/14 ~ From New Testament Letters
  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

12 - If others share this rightful claim upon you, do not we even more so? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but we endure anything rather than put an obstacle in the way of the good news of Christ. 13 Do you not know that those who are employed in the temple service get their food from the temple? And those who serve at the altar share in the sacrificial offerings? 14 In the same way, the Lord instructed that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel (Matthew 10:10; Luke 10:8; compare Galatians 6:6).
      15 But I have made no use of this, nor am I writing these things to secure any such provision. For I would rather die than have anyone deprive me of my grounds for boasting! 16 For if I preach the gospel - that gives me no ground for boasting. For compulsion is laid heavily upon me. Woe to me, if I I do not preach the gospel!

And the word (message) you hear me say is not mine, but is from the Father who sent me.

      25 These things I’ve spoken to you while I’m still with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit {Presence of God, to be with you} which the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you. My peace, I give to you. Not as the world gives, so let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. 28 You heard me say to you, ‘I’m going away, and I will come to you.’ If you love me, you will rejoice, because I’m going to the Father, and the Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it takes place you will believe. 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. 1 Corinthians 9:1-11

11/13 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

1 - Am I not free? Am I (Paul) not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my workmanship in the Lord? 2 If to others I am not an apostle, at least I am to you, for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord. 3 This is my defense to those who would test me. 4 Do we not have the right to eat and drink? 5 Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Peter? 6 Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working for a living? 7 Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard without eating any of its fruit? Or who tends a flock without getting some of the milk?

     8 Do I say these things on human authority? Does not the Law say the same? 9 For it is written in the Law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain.” Is it for oxen that God is concerned? 10 Does he not certainly speak for our sake? It was written for our sake, because the plowman should plow in hope and the thresher thresh in hope of sharing in the crop. 11 If we have sown spiritual things among you, is it a great thing if we reap earthly things among you? (Verse 4.)

[Jesus continues, on the eve of his crucifixion.] 12 - “Truly, I tell you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do. And greater [megas - large, great, in the - widest - sense] works than these they will do, because I’m going to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in my name [onoma - name, authority, cause] I’ll do it, this is so the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name [authority, cause] I will do it.

     15 If you love me, you’ll keep my instructions. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper, this one to be with you to the age, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it doesn’t see him nor know him. You know him. For he dwells with you, and, will be in you.

18 I will not leave you as orphans, but will come to you. 19 Yet a little while and the world will no longer see me, but you’ll see me. And because I live, you will live also. 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 Whoever has my instructions and keeps them, it is they who love me (Mt.25:10). And they who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and make myself  known to them.”

     {Best way to know Jesus and the Father - is to follow Jesus’ instructions. “Love God.” One rule, because when genuine, the second is also, and the fruit includes moderation and faithfulness. Also genuine humility, inclusiveness, unity, and a temperate ‘tongue’.}

Acts 16:1-19

       WeekLy BooK oF Acts

1 - Paul returned also to Derbe and Lystra. A disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was Greek. 2 He was well spoken of by the brothers at Lystra and Iconium. 3 Paul wanted Timothy to accompany them, and he had him be circumcised, because of the Jews who lived along there, for they all knew that his father was a Greek. 4 As they went through the cities, they delivered to them the decisions that had been reached by the apostles and elders in Jerusalem [Acts 15:1-20.] 5 So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and they increased in numbers daily.

     6 And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been stopped by the Holy Spirit from going into Asia. 7 And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them. 8 So, passing by Mysia, they went down to Troas. 9 And there, a vision appeared to Paul in the night, a man of Macedonia was in the dream, urging him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 And when Paul had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go on into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.

     11 So, setting sail from Troas, we made a straight voyage to Samothrace, and the following day to Neapolis, 12 and from there to Philippi, a leading city of the district of Macedonia, and a Roman colony, where we remained some days.13 And on the Sabbath, we went outside the gate to the riverside, where we supposed there to be a place of prayer, and we sat down and spoke to the women who had come together there. 14 One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple cloths, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul. 15 And after she was baptized, and her household as well, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come and stay at my house.” And so we did.

      16 On another day, as we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a maiden who had a spirit of divination and brought her handlers much gain by fortune-telling. 17 She followed Paul and us everywhere, crying out, “These men are servants of the Most High God! Who proclaim to you the way of salvation!”18 And this she did for many days. Finally Paul, having become annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” And it came out that very hour. 19 But when those who made a profit from her saw that their hope of gain was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace, accusing them before the rulers [archΓ³n - rulers, leaders, princes, magistrates].

9 - But take care that this right of yours doesn’t somehow become a stumbling block to someone else. 10 For if anyone sees you eating in an idol's temple, will he not be encouraged, even though his conscience is weak concerning it, to eat food offered to idols? 11 And so by your freedom (because you know there are no other ‘gods’) this other one is harmed, the brother or sister for whom Christ died. 12 Thereby, trespassing against one another, wounding their conscience when it’s weak, is also against Christ. 13 Therefore, if food makes my brother or sister stumble, I will not eat meat lest I cause them to stumble. {Or drink wine.. Eat pork.. “Hast thou faith? Have it alone before God.” No wine when with your recovering alcoholic brother or sister! Or any it would offend no matter the moderation. Why be unnecessarily divisive?}

(Jesus continues..) 1 - “Let not your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house there are many abiding places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I’m going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you’re going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you know me, you know my Father also. From now on you do know him and you have seen him.”

     8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and it’ll be enough for us!” 9 Jesus said, “Have I been with you all this time, and you still don’t know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not know that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I don’t speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me is doing his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works you saw me do.”

1 Corinthians 8:1-8

 Universalism in the New Testament

11/11 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

1 - Now concerning food offered to idols, we know we all possess “knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up. But love builds up. 2 If anyone imagines that they know something, they do not yet know as they ought to know. 3 But if someone loves God, they are known by God. 4 Therefore, as to this eating of food offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing, that there is no God but one. 5 For although there may be many supposed ‘gods’ in the heavens and upon earth, many “gods” and many “lords”— 6 yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are the all, and we for him, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are the all, and we through him (are).

     7 However, not all possess this knowledge. But some, through former practice with idols, eat food as actually offered to another ‘god’, and their weak conscience is wounded. 8 But food will not commend us to God. Whether we eat or don’t eat, we are no better, or no worse off.

JOHN 13:1-20

 Universalism in the New Testament

πŸƒπŸ•Š️11/11 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

1 - It was before the Feast of Passover (week) and Jesus knew the hour had come to depart out of the world, and to the Father. Having loved his disciples and followers, he loved them to the end. 2 And so during supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot to betray him, 3 [the “all” in this verse is from the greek word “pas” which means - “all, every, the whole” but it is often translated to read “all things” - in Rev.21:5(!), Eph.1:10, and many more.] Jesus, knowing the Father had given all into his hands and that he had come from God, and was going back to God, 4 he rose from supper, laid aside his outer garment, took a towel and tied it around his waist. 5 Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel. (It was a courtesy to provide water for guests to wash their dusty and overheated feet, travel for most being by foot.) 6 When he came to Simon Peter, Peter said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?!” 7 Jesus answered, “You don’t understand what I’m doing now, but you will later.” 8 Peter said, “No Lord! You cannot wash my feet!” But Jesus answered, “If I don’t do this, you will have no share with me in this work.” 9 So Peter said, “Not just my feet! But my hands and head as well!” 10 Jesus said, “Someone who has already bathed, needs only to wash their feet. And all of you are clean but one.” 11 For he knew who was to betray him. That was why he said, “All but one.” [I read in a commentary - Ellicott’s - which said Judas didn’t spiritually wash his feet from the world’s influences daily, and thus his falling to temptation.] (He loved money. He didn’t know they wanted Jesus to be executed.)

     12 When Jesus was done, he put his outer garment back on, sat back down at the table, and said to them, “Do you understand why I did that? 13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and you’re right, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done for you. {Watch out for one another! And have utmost humility.} 16 Truly, I tell you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. 18 I’m not speaking of all of you. I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, ‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’ 19 I am telling you this now, before it takes place, that when it does take place you may believe that I am he. 20 Truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send, receives me. And whoever receives me, receives He who sent me.”

1 Corinthians 7:32-40

 11/10 ~ From New Testament Letters

    πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

            By Necessity Paraphrased

[Paul is answering questions the Corinthian believers had sent in a letter. He responded “the time is short, so..” and indeed 70 CE was right around the corner, a partial scope result/culmination.] 32 -  I want you to be free from worries. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. 33 But the married man is worried about worldly things, how to please his wife. 34 So his interests are divided. And the unmarried or betrothed woman is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit. But the married woman is anxious about worldly things, how to please her husband. 35 I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord.

     36 If anyone thinks that he is not behaving properly toward his betrothed, if his passions are strong, and it has to be, let him do as he wishes, let them marry—it is no sin. 37 But whoever is firmly established in his heart, and having his desire under control, and has determined in his heart to keep her as his betrothed he will do well. 38 So then he who marries his betrothed does well, and he who refrains from marriage will do even better.

     39 A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord. 40 Yet in my judgment she is happier if she remains as she is. And I think that I too have the Spirit of God.
