          John 19:14-22

14 It was the day of “preparation” FOR the Passover, about the sixth hour (9 a.m.) and Pilate said to the Jews, “Here is your King!” 15 But they shouted, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!” “Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked. “We have no king but Caesar,” the leaders (of the nation) answered. 16 Then Pilate handed Jesus over to be crucified, and the soldiers took Him away.

17 Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). 18 There they crucified him; and they also crucified two other men, one on each side, with Jesus between them. 19 And Pilate wrote a title and placed it on his cross, but it was written thus: “This is Yeshua the Nazarene, The King of the Judeans.” 20 The place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek, so that many people could read it. 21 And the Chief Priests said to Pilate, “Do not write, 'He is The King of the Judeans', but, “He said, 'I am The King of the Judeans (slang, Jews).'” 22 Pilate answered, “What I have written I have written.”

          Peter’s Second Letter

           ~ 2 Timothy 2:7-15 ~

7 Think about what I (Paul) am saying, because the Lord will enable you to understand it all. 8 Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of King David, was raised from the dead. This is the Good News I preach. 9 And because I preach this Good News, I am suffering and have been chained like a criminal. But the word of God cannot be chained. 10 Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they may hit the mark of safety/salvation that is in Jesus, with the agelasting glory. 11 Here is a true message - “If we died with Christ, we will live with him.” 12 If we endure hardship, we will reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us. 13 If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself. 14 Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and is only ruin [katastrophรฉ - an overthrowing] to those listening. 15 Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
