           John 15:18-27

18 “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.” (And the world did definitely hate the Christians, though they were not a rowdy nor self righteous lot. But were disliked, accused, persecuted, and worse.) 19 “If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, for I have chosen you out of the world. 20 Do you remember what I told you? [Remember the word I said to you?] ‘A servant is not greater than the master.’ Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they listen to me, they would listen to you. 21 But all these things will they do to you for my name's sake, because they do not know he that sent me. 22 They would not be guilty if I had not come and spoken to them. But now they have no excuse. 23 The one hating me hates my Father also. 24 If I hadn’t done such miraculous signs among them that no one else could do, they would not be guilty. But as it is, they have seen everything I did, yet they still hate me and my Father. 25 But this is to fulfill what is written in the Law, of them ‘They hated me without cause’.

     26 But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth which goes out from the Father and shall testify of me. 27 And you also, must testify about me because you have been with me from the beginning.”

          Peter’s First Letter

          ~ 1 Peter 4:9-19 ~

9 Show hospitality to one another without complaining. 10 God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. (Sevenfold Spirit of God? Rev.5:6.]

     11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. To him, all glory and power forever and ever! Amen.

     12 Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. 13 Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. 15 If you suffer, however, it must not be for murder, stealing, making trouble, or prying into other people’s affairs. 16 But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name! 17 The time has come for the judgment to begin, and it will begin with God's family. If it starts with us [EARTHLY!] what will be the end [EARTHLY!] for those who refuse to obey the Good News of God? (The world will gather to Armageddon, final war battle, Mt.13:30. “The Earth will shake to and fro” Is.24:20, “stars ‘falling’ like figs blown in a strong wind” Rev.6:13. The fullness of Seal 6, but what it is and its first occurrence is veiled by describing it at its first occurrence, as its FULL effects, first occurrence to last fullblown occurrence at the ‘end’. Notice how we are still at Rev.7:1,3, to be interrupted, followed by a so called ‘peace’, then battles, and Rev.12:16, smoke of, widespread drought, and Dn.12:11-12[Mt.24:1-2] Rev.13:14-17.)

     18 And if the righteous have life in hardship, where is an evil man and a sinner found? 19 If you suffer for obeying God, you must have complete faith in your faithful Creator and keep on doing what is right. [There’s something kind of poetic sounding about Ye Olde King James version sometimes - Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.] (Above all else..? Stay on the path!)
