           Mark 4:13-23

13 Jesus then told them, “If you don't understand this story, how will you understand any others?

14 The seed the farmer is spreading is really the message about the kingdom. 15 The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message, but soon the adversary comes and snatches it away from them. 16 Some are like the seeds sown on rocky ground. They hear the word and at once receive it with joy. 17 But they don't have roots, and they don't last very long. As soon as life gets hard or the message gets them into trouble, they give up. 18 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word, 19 but the worries of this life, the desire to get rich (or famous?) fools them. The desire for other things chokes out the message and no fruit is produced. (Cause -n- effect.) 20 And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s message as true, and produce a crop (harvest) of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as was planted.”

[The overall/complete harvest of God - 1Cor.15:22-28 with Mt.13:33, key word 3, three harvests (resurrection/vivifications) “each/everyone (hekastos) in their own order, Christ, barley harvest(1). (2)The wheat at His coming, aNd, (3) comes the end, all subdued, including death (Rev.21:5 - Behold! I make all (pas) new!) that God may be all in all” (the huGe grape harvest), the vivification 500 years/‘five days’ - see Hebrew Fall Holy Days, Lev.23 - after resurrection - called the second resurrection, by calling the first one “first”.] (Conclusion: All/pas seed - his word/message/program matured. His law (love, will, character) etched deeply upon the hearts and minds. All fully “in his image”. Vs.22 - Like all die in/through/because of Adam, all will live in/through/because of Jesus.

21 “You don't light a lamp and then put it under a clay pot or under a bed do you?” he said. “Instead, won’t it be put on its lampstand? 22 For there is nothing that is hidden, except to be revealed. Nor is anything kept hidden, but that it should come to light! 23 Anyone having ears to hear, let them listen. (Anyone having ears to hear, what is he saying?) (Riddles. 25 Make sure you obey the one who speaks to you. (Remember Esau, who lost his birthright/special inheritance. But, btw, not his life.) The people did not escape on earth [epi ges], when they refused to obey the one who spoke to them at Mount Sinai. Do you think you can possibly escape [ekpheugó - flee to safety] if you refuse to obey the one who speaks to you from heaven? 26 At that time, from the mountain, his voice shook the earth! But now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” 27 The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things [poieó - (that) made, done, manufactured, constructed] so that what cannot be shaken may remain. (Also created ‘truths’ not true, fall, and what is Truth, will stand secure. Can fall peacefully like a sunrise? Or can crash -n- burn? Individual or collective. Which path do you think the world will take? Ps.2, Rev.16:13-16-Mt.13:30)

            Mark 4:1-12

(This is likely the earliest account of this written, as Mark’s gospel is thought to be the first one written. Mark wasn’t one of the twelve but was a sort of secretary later to Peter, Paul and likely others.)

1 - Once again Jesus began to teach beside the sea, and such a large crowd gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people crowded along the shore. 2 He used parables to teach them many things, saying to them, 3 "Listen! A farmer went out to plant seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 And when the sun rose, it was scorched, and since it had no root, it withered away. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no grain. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it sprouted, grew up, and produced a crop, and yielded thirtyfold, sixtyfold or a hundredfold what was planted.” 9 Then he said, “Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.” 10 Later, when Jesus was alone with the twelve disciples and with the others who were gathered around, they asked him what the parables meant. 11 And he told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside (of believing) everything is said in parables 12 so that, 'Seeing, they might see and not perceive; and hearing, they might hear and not understand, lest at what time [pote - when? at what time] they should turn and be forgiven [aphíēmi - released].

(1Cor.15:22-24 - “For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in their own order.. [1]those who are Christ’s at His coming, then [2]the end, when He shall hand over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He shall have annulled all dominion, and all authority and power..” including, lastly death, vs.26).

15 Look out for each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many. 16 That there be no sexually immoral, nor godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. (Mt.25:1-13, door to what?) 17 You know that afterward, when he wanted the-blessing, it was too late, even though he sought it with bitter tears.

18 You have not come to a mountain of flaming fire, darkness, gloom, and whirlwind, as the Israelites did at Mount Sinai. 19 To a trumpet blast and such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them, 20 for they could not bear what was commanded, that if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned or shot with an arrow. (Because contaminated with nuclear energy?) 21 Moses himself was so frightened at the sight that he said, “I tremble with fear.” 22 But you, you have come to Mount Zion. (Rev.14:1) To the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect. (But not yet! Heb.11:39-40, “These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect. 1Cor.15:52 - namely “..at the last trumpet sounding”.) 24 You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness, speaking a far better thing than the blood of Abel. 25 Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One who is speaking. For if the people of Israel did not escape when they refused to listen to Moses, the earthly messenger, we will certainly not escape (imo, the naturally occurring judgment) if we reject the One who speaks to us from heaven!

20 Then Jesus went home, and once again a crowd gathered around him, so that He and His disciples had not even time to eat. 21 When his family heard what was happening, they went to get him, for they said, “He is beside himself!”

22 But the teachers of the law who had come down from Jerusalem kept saying, “He has Beelzebul, the prince of demons!” And, “By the ruler of demons he casts out demons.” 23 Jesus told the people to gather around him. Then he spoke to them in riddles and said, “How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 A kingdom divided by itself cannot stand. [Other versions -  If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot last. - A nation whose people fight each other won't last very long. - If a country divides itself into groups which fight each other, that country will fall apart.] 25 And a house divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26 And if Satan opposes himself” (instead of the nation or kingdom)  “and is divided, he cannot stand, but his end has come. 27 How can anyone break into the house of a strong man and steal his things, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can make off with everything. 28 Truly I tell you, all hamartia/missing the mark/sins are forgiven the children of man, and every slander they utter, 29 whoever however, blaspheming (slandering) the Holy Spirit/Presence of God, has not forgiveness to the age (aion) but is guilty of aionios/aionion sin. [Aionios is the adjective of aion/age, so logically - should mean agelong or agelasting.] 30 He said this because they were saying, “He has an impure spirit.” (And it was God’s Spirit/Presence that was the cause and doer of all which Jesus was doing.)

31 Jesus' mother and brothers came and sent a message for him to come out to them. 32 And the crowd sitting around him said, "Your mother and brothers and sisters are outside and want to see you." 33 And answering them, he said, “Who is my mother and my brothers and sisters? 34 Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, “Here are my mother and my brothers and sisters! 35 Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.” (And no doubt, as a good Jewish son he then went out to see them.🙂)

9 His disciples asked Him, “What is the meaning of the parable of the seeds?” 10 He said, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’” (Different roles in this Truth production.) 11 “The parable is this, the seed is God's message, 12 and the seeds that fell along the path are the people who hear the message. But the devil comes and snatches the message out of their hearts, so they will not believe and be saved. 13 The seeds that fell on rocky ground stand for those who hear the message and receive it with joy, but it doesn’t take deep root within them, and as soon as life gets hard, they fall away. 14 The seeds that fell among the thorns represent those who hear the message, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares and riches and pleasures of this life. And so they don’t mature. 15 The seeds that fell in good soil stand for those who hear the message and retain it in a good and obedient heart, and they persist until they bear fruit. 16 No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.” (“All” will see the Light.) 17 “For all that is secret will be brought into the open, and everything that is (now) concealed will be brought to light and made known to all. 18 Take care then how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.”

3 Consider him who endured such opposition! So that you will not grow weary, lose heart and give up. 4 In this struggle against hamartia - missing the mark - you have not had to resist to the point of violence. (Like some others have!)

5 And have you forgotten the encouraging words which God speaks to you as his children? "My child, pay attention when the Lord corrects you, and do not be discouraged when he rebukes you. 6 The Lord corrects the people he loves and disciplines those he calls his own." 7 Sufferings and hardship disciplines us, and what child is there who is not disciplined and trained by a good father. 8 A child not disciplined is not a child of the parent at all. 9 Our earthly fathers instruct and correct us, and we still respect them. Shall we not much more obey the Father of spirits, for the sake of life? 10 Our human fathers correct us for a short time, and they do it as they think best. But God corrects us for our own good, because he wants us to be holy, as he is. (This whole life is the learning of good from not good, that we truly share God’s character.)

From the Prophets - Amos

1:1 The words of Amos, a shepherd —the vision he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake..

Damascus, Gaza, Tyre, Edom, Ammon, Moab …and Judah..

..sold the innocent for silver .. you trample on the heads of the poor as on the dust of the ground and deny justice to the oppressed.. 2:14 The swift will not escape, the strong will not muster their strength, and the warrior will not save his life. 15 The archer will not stand his ground, the fleet-footed soldier will not get away, and the horseman will not save his life. 16 Even the bravest warriors will flee.. 3:6 When a trumpet sounds.. 7 Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. ..11 An enemy will overrun your land, pull down your strongholds and plunder your fortresses ..15 the mansions will be demolished..

4:1 .. who oppress the poor and crush the needy.. 6 lack of bread in every town.. 11 yet you have not returned to me, declares the Lord. 12 ..prepare to meet your God. 13 He who forms the mountains,    who creates the wind,    and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth — the Lord God Almighty is his name.

5:9  With a blinding flash he destroys the stronghold and brings the fortified city to ruin..

11 You levy a straw tax on the poor and impose a tax on their grain. Therefore, though you have built stone mansions, you will not live in them; though you have planted lush vineyards, you will not drink their wine. 12 ..There are those who oppress the innocent and take bribes and deprive the poor of justice in the courts. 13  Therefore the prudent keep quiet in such times, for the times are evil. 15 Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the Lord God Almighty will have mercy..

6:11 ..he will smash the great house into pieces and the small house into bits. 14 Amos answered Amaziah, “I was neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees. 15 But the Lord took me from tending the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’ 16 Now then, hear the word of the Lord. You say, ‘Do not prophesy.. and stop preaching against the descendants of Isaac.’

17 Therefore this is what the Lord says, ‘Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land’..”

8:1 This is what the Sovereign Lord showed me, a basket of ripe fruit. 2 “What do you see, Amos?” he asked. “A basket of ripe fruit,” I answered. 8 Will not the land tremble for this, and all who live in it mourn? .. 9 “In that day,” declares the Sovereign Lord,

“I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight. 11 “The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign Lord, “when I will send a famine through the land — not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord. 12 People will stagger..

9:11 “In that day I will restore David’s fallen shelter — I will repair its broken walls and its ruins — and will rebuild it as it used to be.. 13 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills, 14 and I will bring my people Israel back from exile. (We are all Israel, when the scales fall from our eyes and we believe, we are “grafted into Israel” and Israel and Jerusalem will be God’s capitol.) They will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. 15 I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them..”

            Luke 8:1-8

1 - Soon after this, Jesus was going through towns and villages, telling the good news about God's kingdom. His twelve apostles were with him. 2 And also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses [astheneia - weakness, frailty, sickness]. One of the women was Mary Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out of, 3 Joanna, whose husband Chuza was an officer in Herod's court, and Susanna, and many other women who used their own resources to help Jesus and his disciples, were with him also. 4 And when a great crowd was gathering and people from town after town came to him, he told them in a parable, 5 “A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some seed fell along the path and was trampled underfoot. And the birds of the air came and ate it all up. 6 Some other seed fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the seedling plants withered because they had no water. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it, and overcame and choked it. 8 But still other seed fell on good ground, and it came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.” (A ripple that keeps going?)

When he had said this, he called out, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear!”

(Lk.8:8, makes me think of “on the eighth day..”) (God is showing to us Life and death/no life. Like this life, this all important contrast, is like a ‘parable’ of the decomposing ‘apple’ and the worm that doesn’t stop, so much MORE is the kingdom! That progresses in peace - it’s the world that makes war, Ps.2, and lake of fire is event(s) not a ‘place’ nor never ending. So too does the kingdom not stop. Like the worm/decay/corruption of the apple once even a speck of imperfection shows up, doesn’t stop until the apple is gone/fully consumed, so too the progression of the kingdom/Life does not stop until God - who is life - is all in all. Like widening ripples of a pond until reaching full pond ripple, full world. All within and without, collectively and individually, and both spiritually and literally. Truth will stand, all untruth will fall and fade away. “Where sin/hamartia/missing the mark abounded, grace abounded much more.” And.. God doesn’t have to beat us (with many stripes). We beat ourselves.. Maybe(?) he’ll beat the despots.. sex traffickers of children, etc. etc. …And bring them to gut wrenching remorse.. Can you imagine?😳

           Luke 7:36-50

36 When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. 37 And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus was there, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, 38 and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with her long hair. And repeatedly kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment.

39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know what sort of woman is touching him! For she is a sinner.”

40 And Jesus answering his thoughts said to him, “Simon, I have somewhat to say to you.” And he said, “Master, say on”. 41 “Two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42 Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he forgave the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?” 43 Simon answered, “I suppose the one one who owed him the most”. 44 Then he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You didn’t give me any water for my feet” (a courtesy of the day, for going around on foot got hot and dusty) “but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You did not put oil on my head” (kings were anointed this way) “but she has poured aromatic oil on my feet. 47 I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven, which her great love shows. But who is forgiven little, loves little.” (But with God all things are possible! We will all be fuLL of God’s love. 🤔Once again, this is speaking inside this cosmic drama. If we’re forgiven little or consider it that way, we may very well love Jesus less during this lifetime.) 48 Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

49 The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” 50 And Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you, go in peace.”

           Luke 7:24-35

24 After John’s messengers left, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about him, “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? Was it a reed swayed by the wind? 25 A man dressed in fine clothes? People who wear expensive clothes and live in luxury are in the king's palace. 26 Were you looking for a prophet? Yes, and he is more than a prophet. 27 This is he of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before you, who will prepare the way for you. 28 I tell you, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of God is greater than he is. 29 All the people, including tax collectors! heard John. They admitted God was right, evidenced by letting John baptize them. 30 But! The Pharisees and experts in religious law rejected God’s plan for them, refusing John’s baptism. 31 To what, then, can I compare the people of this generation? What are they like? 32 They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling out to each other, ‘We played the pipe for you! And you didn’t dance! We sang a dirge, and you didn’t cry.’ 33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon!’ 34 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard! A friend of tax collectors and sinners!’” 35 (And looking out over the people, he said)  “But justified is wisdom! By all the children of her.” [Her - autos - he, she, it, they, them, same.]

22 By faith Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the departure [exodus] of the children of Israel from Egypt. So he told them to take his bones with them. 23 It was by faith that Moses’ parents hid him for three months when he was born. They saw that God had given them an unusual child, and they were not afraid to disobey the king’s command. 24 It was by faith that Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of Egypt. 26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27 It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible. [Another version - “because he saw He who is invisible”.] 28 By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest the destroying of the firstborn should touch them. 29 By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land, but when the Egyptians tried to pursue, they were all drowned. 30 It was by faith that the people of Israel marched around Jericho for seven days, and the walls came crashing down. 31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient. 32 How much more do I need to say? It would take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets. 33 By faith these people overthrew kingdoms! Ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions!

Stephen continues speaking: 17 “Finally, the time came for God to do what he had promised Abraham. By then the number of our people in Egypt had greatly increased. 18 But then a new king came to the throne of Egypt, one who didn’t know Joseph, 19 and he dealt treacherously with our people. He oppressed our ancestors by forcing them to throw their newborn babies out into the fields so they would die.

20 It was at that time Moses was born, and he was no ordinary child. For three months he was cared for by his family. 21 When they had to abandon him and placed him outside, Pharaoh’s daughter adopted him and raised him as her own son. 22 Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action. 23 And when he was forty years old, he decided to visit his own people, the Israelites. 24 Seeing one of them being abused, he defended the oppressed man, avenging him by striking down the Egyptian. 25 Moses assumed his fellow Israelites would realize that God had sent him to rescue them, but they didn’t. 26 The next day, Moses came upon two Israelites who were fighting. He tried to reconcile them by saying, ‘Men, you are brothers, why do you want to hurt each other?’ 27 But the man who was mistreating the other, pushed Moses aside and said, ‘Who made you ruler and judge over us? 28 Are you going to kill me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?’ 29 When Moses heard that, he fled the country and lived as a foreigner in the land of Midian. There his two sons were born. 30 Forty years later, in the desert near Mount Sinai, an angel appeared to Moses in the flame of a burning bush. 31 When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight. As he went to take a closer look, the voice of the LORD called out to him, 32 ‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.’ Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look. 33 Then the Lord said to him, ‘Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground. 34 I've seen how my people are mistreated in Egypt. I've heard their groaning and have come to rescue them. So now I'm sending you to Egypt.' 35 So God sent back the same man his people had previously rejected when they demanded, ‘Who made you a ruler and judge over us?’ Through the angel who appeared to him in the burning bush, God sent Moses to be their ruler and savior. 36 And by means of many wonders and miraculous signs, he led them out of Egypt, through the Red Sea, and through the wilderness for forty years. 37 This is the Moses who said to the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers.’” (If the Lord was crucified in 30 A.D./C.E. fiery judgment/burning bush came 40 years later - just thinking out loud. ‘Smaller’ pond ripple/fulfillment.. full pond ripple pending..? “No one knows the when except the Father”. Hosea 6:2?)

          Luke 7:11-23

11 - Soon afterward Jesus went with his disciples to the village of Nain, and a large crowd followed him. 12 A funeral procession was coming out as he approached the village gate. The young man who had died was a widow’s only son, and a large crowd from the village was with her. 13 When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, “Don’t cry.” 14 Then he walked over to the bier and touched it, and the bearers stopped. “Young man,” he said, “I tell you, get up.” 15 He then sat up and began to speak. Jesus then gave him back to his mother. 16 Great fear swept the crowd, and they praised God, “A great prophet has appeared among us,” they said. “God has come to help his people.” 17 And the news about Jesus spread throughout Judea (as opposed to Galilee) and the surrounding countryside. 18 The disciples of John the Baptist told John about everything Jesus was doing. So John called for two of his disciples, 19 and sent them to the Lord to ask him, “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?”

20 When they came to Jesus, they said, "John the Baptist sent us to ask if you are the one he said was going to come, or should we expect someone else?" 21 At the time Jesus was healing many people of their diseases, afflictions, and evil spirits, and giving sight to many who were blind. 22 Answering he said, "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard, the blind can see, the lame can walk, those who suffer from dreaded skin diseases are made clean, the deaf can hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is preached to the poor. 23 God will bless everyone who doesn't take offense (and doubt?) at what I do."

He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” 19 He considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back. (A test for Abraham and an example to us of receiving back from the dead. Ultimately true of all, a universal/collective example.) 20 It was by faith that Isaac promised blessings for the future to his sons, Jacob and Esau. 21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and he worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.

And the officer liked his servant very much. 3 When the officer heard about Jesus, he sent some respected Jewish elders to ask him to come and heal his servant. 4 So they earnestly asked Jesus to help the man. “If anyone deserves your help, he does,” they said, 5 because he loves our nation and even built a synagogue for us.” 6 So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. 7 And I am certainly not worthy to come to you. Just say the word, and my servant will get well. 8 I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, ‘Go,’ and they go, or ‘Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my servants, ‘Do this,’ they do it.” 9 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in all Israel.” 10 And when the officer’s friends returned to his house, they found the servant completely well.

Earth is His Temple

The universe is his temple. The earth is his temple. He shall dwell (tabernacle🗝️) in his temple. There will be no wars. No hatred, no greed (klepto-mania, a greek word).

How do you create genuinely able to think and reason beings, aNd, keep paradise/perfection intact? Seeing as reasoning includes at least some power of choice. Consider the paradox of God being Life (of course) itself, and he “is perfect”. Once said thinking being chooses anything in thought, word or deed that differs with what He chooses, they become imperfect. Which ends up as the exact opposite of Life. And in the meanwhile, is an abyss of potential. (Should we ignore history? Should we discount cause and effect? Nicknamed God’s ‘wrath’.)

God is unlimited Genius, and is truthful and honest. Though he does hide everything in plain sight and in riddles.

He created the universe as is but as a clock not running, then, set it in motion.

HE is Love. Love never fails.

As a final piece of the cosmic puzzle (imo) making everything settle into place, is that lake of fire is not a ‘place’, certainly not never ending. The three mentions of lake of fire are at large fiery events.. He is letting cause and effect occur to those not repenting of their sorceries [phármakos] or of their sexual immorality [porneia - properly, a selling off (surrendering) of sexual purity - key word selling?] or of their thefts [klemma - from klepto] (greed).

What was the other option God had with creation? A mere ant farm? Somehow I don’t think that is what he’s after. Is creating. This all important contrast is writing his will/Truth on the hearts and minds.

The kingdom and prophecy, both, progress like widening ripples of a pond. The Lord’s long second advent will be a longer, wider version of his first brief one. He will do the same works he did before. But with helpers, serving, called reigning. For to do his works, surely(?) is to reign.

The final mention of lake of fire is at the fiery, universal ReGenesis. Do you like a good riddle?

     A lesson of 3’s —

Mt.13:33, key word 3, w/ 1Cor.15:22-24,28 -> three harvests, barley, wheat, grape. Two resurrections. Two vivifications, first one concurrent with the first resurrection, second (imo) is five hundred years after its partner resurrection.

     The revelation vision is told 3 times: 6:1-2 to 11:19; ch.12, but vs.17 w/ mt.23:39; and, 13:1 to 19:11.

The Lord fulfilled three Spring holy days by his first advent. And the three Fall holy days (surely!?) will be fulfilled by his long second advent.. and beyond.

The three sixes are the number of man, greek word anthropos, not just ‘a man’. Though we do have his number. (Old cliche.)

“Morning, noon and night, I will call upon Thee” Ps.17:55.

There are three parts of the second advent, [1]THE millennium, a 7th and a Sabbath from the adversary, [2]the adversary gathers (again) the ends of earth (people who survived the apocalypse mortally, have multiplied) for war against Jerusalem, God’s city - greek word “salem” means “of Peace”. A second mention of a lake of fire, is here at his fiery, final defeat. And [3]“the judgment”. Elsewhere called an “aionion kolasin/correction”.

🗝️On the “8th” ‘day’ the “last great day” (Lev.23:36, Jn.7:37) all carnality and self first will be (totally) circumcised from off of mankind. Some few will initially experience inner outside of the Light, darkness.. gnashing of teeth.. (think rich man and Lazarus parable, and the outside of the vision narrative of Rev.22) but which condition will give way to self condemnation, perhaps beating oneself, spiritually, with many stripes.. weeping.. remorse.. and reconciliation. “Christ Crucified” being an image and message strong enough to appease eveRy conscience.

“The lion will eat straw like the ox, the bear will graze with the cow and their young will lie down together” Is.11:7. “All manner of fruit for the twelve months..”Rev.22:2. “Of the increase of peace there will be no end” Is.9:7. The Father himself “will tabernacle with mankind” Rev.21:3/three. As will the Son, the “the seed” implanted in all, the “first/proto” (and prototype). The Spirit of God is God’s Presence (with us) which shall be totally and literally “all in all”. Love will Rule. “Perfect” makes no mistakes, leaves no loose ends.. Cannot lose anything. The ‘end’ result (the greek means “end-aim”) can only be the best one possible. ⛲️There is every reason for deep, heartfelt peace and joy. A ‘message’ seemed to drift through my mind recently, “try not to worry”. I’m thinking that means “about anything”!

I heard their number. 17 And in my vision, I saw the horses and the riders sitting on them. The riders wore armor that was fiery red and dark blue and yellow.      41 “Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 42 How can you think of saying, ‘Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye, then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye. 43 A good tree doesn’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree doesn’t produce good fruit. 44 You can tell a tree by its fruit. Figs aren’t gathered from thorn bushes, and grapes aren’t picked from bramble bushes. 45 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. And what we say flows forth from what is in our heart.

46 “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? 47 I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. 48 It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it’s well built. 49 But the one who hears my words and doesn’t put them into practice is like a person who built a house on the ground without a foundation! The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its ruin was great.” (Or if they're taught to not follow or even taught to not believe?)

The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran. 3 Leave your country and your people,’ God said, ‘and go to the land I will show you.’ 4 So Abraham left the land of the Chaldeans and lived in Haran until his father died. Then God brought him here to the land where you now live. 5 And God gave him no inheritance in it, not even enough to set his foot on. But even when Abraham had no child, He promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him. 6 God spoke to him in this way: ‘For four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own. They will be slaves and mistreated. 7 And the nation to which they will be in bondage, I will judge,' God said, 'and after wards they will come out and will serve me in this place.'” (AFter the slavery and after the judgment - earthly, btw - then they will laud Him - micro fulfillment and example.)

8 “God also gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision at that time. So when Abraham became the father of Isaac, he circumcised him on the eighth day. And the practice was continued when Isaac became the father of Jacob, and also when Jacob became the father of the twelve fathers of the Israelite nation.” (On the “8th day” the “last great day” - Lev.23:36, Jn.7:37 - imperfection/“hamartia-missing the mark, translated sin, will be totally  circumcised from off of mankind. God hides the Truth in plain sight and says it over and over.) 9 “Because the brothers were jealous of Joseph, they sold him as a slave into Egypt. But God was with him 10 and rescued him from all his troubles. He gave Joseph wisdom and enabled him to gain the goodwill of Pharaoh king of Egypt. So Pharaoh made him ruler over Egypt and all his palace (and resources). 11 Then famine and its suffering swept across Egypt and Canaan, and our fathers could not find food. 12 Father Jacob heard that there was still grain in Egypt, so he sent his sons—our ancestors, the brothers—to buy some. 13 It was on their second trip that Joseph told them who he was, and Pharaoh learned about Joseph's family. 14 Then Joseph sent for his father, Jacob, and all his relatives to come to Egypt, seventy-five persons in all.

15 So Jacob went to Egypt. He died there, as did our ancestors, the fathers. 16 Later their bodies were taken back to Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham had bought from the sons of Hamor.

8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went. Even though he did not know where he was going! 9 Because Abraham had faith, he lived as a stranger in the promised land. He lived there in a tent, and so did Isaac and Jacob, who were later given the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

           Luke 6:17-29

17 Jesus and the twelve went down from the mountain and came to some flat, level ground. And many other disciples were there to meet him. Large crowds of people from all over Judea, Jerusalem, and the coastal towns of Tyre and Sidon were there too. 18 They had come to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases. And all who were troubled by evil spirits were also healed. 19 Everyone was trying to touch Jesus, because power was going out from him and healing them all.

A Balance — 20 Then Jesus looking upon the disciples said, "Happy are you poor, the Kingdom of God is yours! 21 Blessed are those hungering now. For you will be filled! Blessed are those weeping now, for you will laugh. 22 Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil — because of the Son of Man. 23 When that happens, be happy! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancestors treated the prophets that same way. 24 But you rich people are in for trouble. You have already had an easy life! 25 Woe to you who are full now, for you shall be hungry.” (Satisfied with the false.. but the false must fall..) “Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep. 26 Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how the ancestors treated the false prophets.” (And believed the false prophecy for they promoted.) 27 But to you who are listening I say, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt as well.” (But we don’t have to compromise the Truth with any - with the world which is passing away. Indeed “woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how the ancestors treated the false prophets” - though at the same time (for now) some will speak well of us because of the fruit of God’s Spirit we display.

By this he gave judgment against the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead. 5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

     Lk.6:6-11 or Mk.3:1-12

Luke 6:6-10 and Mark 3:1-5 blended: On another Sabbath Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, and a man with a paralyzed/“withered” right hand was there. Since it was the Sabbath, Jesus’ enemies watched him closely. If he healed the man’s hand, they planned to accuse him of working on the Sabbath.

Jesus told the man to stand up where everyone could see him. Then he said, “Is lawful on the Sabbath to do good? Or to do evil? To save life or to kill?” But they remained silent. Jesus was angry and grieved at their hard hearts. Then he told the man, "Stretch out your hand." And so he did, and his hand was restored and whole. Lk.6:11 - The teachers and the Pharisees were furious and started saying to one another, "What can we do about Jesus?" And Mk.3:6 - The Pharisees left. And then they started making plans with Herod's supporters on how to kill Jesus.

Mk.3:7 - Meanwhile Jesus led his disciples down to the shore of the lake. Large crowds followed him from Galilee, Judea, 8 Jerusalem, and Idumea. And from east of the Jordan River, and even from as far north as Tyre and Sidon. Vast numbers of people came to see him, having heard about all he was doing. 9 So He told His disciples that a small boat should be kept ready for Him because of the multitude, lest they should crush upon him. 10 For he had healed many, so those with sickness and disability were pushing forward to touch him. 11 And when the unclean spirits saw him, they would throw the inhabited person to the ground in front of him shrieking, “You are the Son of God!” 12 And he strictly ordered them not to make him known. And how he gave also to his companions? 27 The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. 28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."

          Mark 2:13-22

(“Look!” some are saying, “Jesus called sinners! It’s all good! No one need repent.. We just need to find our true identity. The kingdom is in you. It’s all about moi.” - Did I hit all the bases? I won’t mention prophecy understanding right now.. In the words of John Wayne.. “the heck I won’t!” paraphrased, lol. “Prophecy?” some say, “It’s all said and done! We’re all saved. There is nothing needed on our part!” You see there’s Truth aNd error [always] weaved together. Like great tapestries.. When you separate the true threads, the rest of it falls apart.

Be careful who you listen to. Take everything with a grain of salt. Even our own interpretations. What can we measure all things to? Truth is an iron measure. We can “make our calling and election sure”. When we read a translation that just doesn’t quite ring true to us.. Toss out the book? Contradict it and run it down to others? (WhAt door is it in the parable of the ten bridesmaids? That half of them arrive late to? Mt.25:1-13.)

They say the human brain is the best computer ever. Except for the God Brain! The highest of intelligence. Pure unlimited Genius. Which we are little mirrors of. We have to include in our studies language tools. Those big reference books are now tools online at our fingertips. Like biblehub dot com’s interlinear (“int”). And! We need logic. ..The root word of logic is logos - “reasoning expressed in words”. And yes, in Jesus. The “first/proto of all creation”. The prototype. And we have brains equipped for this Truth Quest.

Today’s verses are Mark’s account of the calling of Matthew (Levi in the Hebrew) who was a tax collector. And so the phrase from the Pharisees “why does He eat with sinners and tax collectors?” They collected taxes for Rome! Israel’s occupier. (Do you think the spirit and thirst for world domination has been weeded out of mankind? Imagine if yesterday’s Rome would have had modern capabilities and technology. No, Rome is not today’s huge, many headed geopolitical entity which comes from the sea of humanity and will rule (today’s world) and go beastly. Rome was yesteryear’s manifestation. It was, wasn’t, then was again - from Roman Empire to Holy Roman Empire. But it’s a new “was, expired.. was again”. And  Rome is also not today’s  $ity on seven hills/continents. Though it likely is part of both, beast and $ity Babble, like everything else. Both prophecy and the Kingdom progress like widening ripples of a pond.

“Why” Jesus answered, “do I eat with sinners and tax collectors? It’s not the healthy and whole who need a doctor! I didn’t come to call the righteous.” Why call ‘the righteous’ who think they are good enough for God’s perfection? Are they likely to hear? Not yet. So he calls those who are not well. Who need healing. Who need setting straight. This is the epitome of ‘self’ improvement. God is the potter, we are the clay. Jesus is the prototype.

Jesus goes on to answer their other question - about fasting. You can’t put new wine (the transforming Spirit/Presence of God) into an old wineskin. When the wine swells (up into sweet, sweet joy) an old worn and stretched out wineskin will burst! Losing the wine and the skin. New wine needs a new, fresh wineskin! Ye must be born again! Jesus died to convince us and prove to us, we are forgiven, we can, and are supposed to “DRAW NEAR in full confidence and expectation” [elpis - expectation - usually translated hope, you see the subtle yet huge difference?] James, a natural brother of Jesus who became a solid believer and leader,  wrote “Submit yourselves to God ..Come near to God! And he will come near to you! Wash your hands, you sinners! And purify your hearts, you double-minded! Grieve, mourn, and weep! Turn your laughter to mourning, and your joy to gloom! Humble yourselves to the Lord, and he will lift you up [hypsóō - from hýpsos - height – properly, raise high elevate, exalt!] ..“But ..no one who drinks the old wine seems to want the new wine. ‘The old is just fine,’ they say.”

23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope [elpis - expectation] we affirm, for he who promises is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some (me). But encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. 26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left (so don’t teach people that! Our message is “know the Lord”. HE can do the rest/“carry the work to completion” if not paused by ‘teachers’ influence!? In SO many possible ways. To ignore the “missing the mark” - hamartia, translated sin, condition, is to leave the imperfect psyche still in need of repair and closure.) 27 Then all that is left is to wait in fear for the coming Judgment and the fierce fire which is about to consume those who oppose God! (Both in 70 A.D. end of an era/age, and the global fulfillment, end of these ages. But not ‘forever’ for Jesus “will draw all”. See the wheat and weeds parable. Are weeds gathered to a never ending ‘place’ called hell? Or do men gather them to a bonfire? Mt.13:30 and Rev.16:13-16. All three mentions of lake-of-fire are at large fiery events.. huge to us.. pond size to Him.) 28 Anyone who had set aside the law of Moses without mercy died on the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29 But it is much worse to dishonor God's Son and to disgrace the blood of the promise that made us holy. And it is just as bad to insult the Holy Spirit, who shows us such grace and mercy.

On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8 They had hair like women’s hair and teeth like the teeth of a lion. 9 They wore armor made of iron, and their wings roared like an army of chariots rushing into battle. 10 They had tails that stung like scorpions, and for five months they had the power to torment people. 11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon - Destroyer. 12 The first woe is past; two other woes are yet to come. 27 Later, as Jesus left the town, he saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at his tax collector’s booth, and He said to him, “Follow me.” 28 So Levi [Matthew] got up, left everything, and followed him. 29 Later, Levi held a banquet in his home with Jesus as the guest of honor. Many of Levi’s fellow tax collectors and other guests also ate with them. 30 But some Pharisees and their scribes complained to Jesus’ disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” (Hebrew tax collectors.. for Rome!)

31 Jesus answered them, "People who are well don’t need a doctor, but only those who are ill. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” (Not those who think they are righteous/self righteous.)

33 And they said to him, “John’s disciples often fast and pray, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours go on eating and drinking.” 34 Jesus answered, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? 35 But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, in those days they will fast.” 36 He told them this parable (about fasting with prayer) “No one tears a piece out of a new garment to patch an old one. Otherwise, they will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old. 37 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. (“Ye must be born again.”) 38 Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins. 39 But no one who drinks the old wine seems to want the new wine. ‘The old is just fine,’ they say.”

(Luke’s account in other versions than Mark’s, yesterday’s verses.)

17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal. 18 And lo, men bearing upon a couch a man, who has been struck with palsy, and they were seeking to bring him in, and to place before him. 19 And not finding by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his couch into the midst before Jesus. [The houses had  flat roofs with stairways going up to them at the side of the house.] 20 And when he saw their faith, he said, “Man [anthrope] your sins are forgiven you!” 21 Those of the Pharisee party and the lawyers began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 22 Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he asked them, “Why do you question this in your hearts? 23 Is it easier to say ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Stand up and walk’? [Which is easier -- to say, Thy sins have been forgiven thee? or to say, Arise, and walk?] 24 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 25 Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. 26 And amazement [ekstasis - a displacement (of the mind), i.e. bewilderment, ecstasy] seized them all, and they glorified God and were filled with awe [phobos - (means both) fear, terror, alarm, (or) respect, reverence]. And they were saying, “We have seen extraordinary things today!”

       ~ Hebrews 10:14-17 ~

14 By one offering Jesus has perfected to the end [diēnekēs - from diá - thoroughly, which intensifies diaphérō - to bear – properly, bear all the way across, in an unbroken (non-stop) fashion, to persist all the way, to the (intended) end] those sanctified [hagiazó - made holy, consecrated, sanctified (made sacred) hallowed, purified] (made whole, lacking what cause’s entropy/decay). 15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this with saying 16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them in the days to come, says the LORD, I will put my laws in their hearts and write them on their minds." 17 And adds, “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”

In the Beginning and End

 ,,.•’•.,,.•’•.,,🕸️,,.•’•.,,.•’•.,,

In the beginning (of us) God created the universe (complete but like a clock not yet running).. created the heavens and the earth.. The earth was enveloped in water like an embryo. He breathed into the earth, and the waters, and there was Light [his spirit “hovered” - the word is “rachaph” - to grow soft, relax, move gently, also cherish, and brood]. And he separated light from dark, and the waters from on the earth from the waters around the earth, and it was sky (atmosphere) and day and night.

He gathered the waters, made dry earth and called it land and sea. Then from seed (embryos) made grow vegetation and flora.. And it was good.. With everything growing its own seed. He made lights be seen in the heavens for the night and the day.. and bestowed their places.

He filled the waters and skies with life.. And it was good. And all creatures of the land. Then God said “let us” (father and son, the son being the one and only straight out from God one) “make mankind in our likeness” able to think and reason.. And so came choice, a big tree (of delay) in the garden of life.. Now God iS life, so he witnesses and lives through all that occurs. The angels were pre-universe. And when there was ‘just’ Father and Son and the angels.. not that much to go astray about. So father waited.. And now rebel angels acting as accelerant. It’s six millennia to run its course.. with the remedy (the son in all and all in the son) built in from the beginning.. Then a seventh millennium as a rest from war, before the last gathering to war and its fiery final defeat.

During a last great millennium to set all things straight, with a great, in the light, review of all history.. Bound to be a bit intense.. But Jesus “draws all” and there will be closure for all. Gnashing of teeth for the worst of the worst.. but even that will become inner condemnation, gut wrenching remorse. Is anything else logical? For even their debt has been paid, heart and psyche fully appeased. Remorse.. repentance.. The kingdom grows like widening ripples of a pond. Until is said “behold! I make all new” at the fiery, universal regenesis. And then shall “God tent [Tabernacle] with mankind.. the bear will graze with the cow, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.. Of the increase of peace (thus joy!) there will be no end.”

Just how do you create genuinely able to think and reason beings (anthropos and angelos) aNd keep paradise/perfection intact?? Logically (root word logic🤓) there are two options? Total Ant Farm, or Total Herd Immunity..(?)

*Tabernacle(s) - it’s all laid out, written in maNy ways.. Like Him, hiding in plain sight. (Oh what a surprise! So much in plain sight.) We just have to have ears.. Like having 360 degrees to the circle, and turning the dial to the one perfect degree. It doesn’t make life trouble free - not yet! But it sure does help! Lawlessness is growing, but so is peace and joy in the Truth.. The knowing the what, the how, the Who.. and the why. Why there is this stark, quite terrible at times, yet all important contrast. And what GREAT news it all is! That Life hAs to be Perfect. ‘Parable’ of the decomposing ‘apple’ and the “worm that does not quit”.

..’everything is dust in the wind..’ Everything not true that is.. All good is forever.

WEEKLY BOOK OF ACTS 6:1-15

1 - As the believers were rapidly multiplying, there were rumblings of discontent. The Greek-speaking believers complained about the Hebrew-speaking believers, saying that their widows were being discriminated against in the daily distribution of food. 2 So the Twelve called a meeting of all the believers. “It would not be right for us to neglect the teaching of the word of God in order to distribute food. 3 Therefore, brothers and sisters, pick out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty. 4 But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the message.”

5 Everyone liked this idea, and they chose the following: Stephen (a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit), Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas of Antioch (an earlier convert to the Jewish faith). 6 These seven were presented to the apostles, who prayed for them with the laying on of hands (to administer God’s Spirit/Presence). 7 So God’s message continued to spread. The number of believers greatly increased in Jerusalem, and many of the Jewish priests became obedient to the faith. 8 And Stephen, full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people. 9 Then some of those who belonged to the synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called), and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia and Asia, rose up and were arguing with Stephen. 10 But they were no match for Stephen, who spoke with great wisdom which the Spirit gave him. 11 So they persuaded some men to lie about Stephen, saying, “We heard him blaspheme Moses, and even God.” 12 So they stirred up the people and the elders and the teachers of the law. They seized Stephen and brought him before the Sanhedrin. 13 And they set up false witnesses who said, “This man never ceases to speak words against this holy place and the law, 14 We have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy the Temple and change the customs Moses handed down to us.” 15 At this point everyone in the high council stared at Stephen, because his face became as bright as an angel’s.

                       ~*~

     Very Brief Outline of Acts:

Jesus returns to where he was with the Father before his advent/visit (his brief first one).

The Holy Spirit/Presence of God is poured out on the believers who were in Jerusalem on the late Spring holy day of Pentecost. Peter speaks, there are 3000 new believers that day.

The good news message spreads, Peter is invited and goes to a Roman’s house and all believe. The first record of non Hebrew believers (besides likely some on Pentecost).

Persecution breaks out.. jail. stoning. Pharisee Saul leads the persecution, but on his way to Damascus with papers for arrests, Jesus makes himself seen but is so bright Paul falls to the ground and is blinded. After two days he is healed and is a believer, and soon is called Paul. He wrote many (to most) of the New Testament letters, but spent a few years (it seems to me) exclusively listening to the Lord. He established many ‘churches’ in what’s called three missionary journeys, and met and worked with Mark and Luke, and quite a few others. (Luke wrote this Book of Acts.) His fourth journey is to Rome to trial as a prisoner. There’s a shipwreck on the way.. He wrote many of his letters while in prison and under ‘house’ arrest.

            Mark 2:1-12

1 - When Jesus returned to Capernaum several days later, the news spread quickly that he was back home. 2 Soon the house where he was staying was so packed with visitors, as he was teaching, that there was no more room, even outside the door. 3 Four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. 4 They couldn’t bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, so they broke open a hole in the roof above his head. Then they lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of Jesus! (That’s some good friends!) 5 When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the man, "My friend! Your sins are forgiven!” (🤔This is before Jesus paid the debt, called a “ransom”. To me this proves the sacrifices - Old Testament and New - were not paying ransom to the adversary as if he were stronger than God and God needed to pay him protection or ransom! And the idea Jesus was executed to save us from the Father is not logical, nor God who “is love” needing blood to appease his, barely able to be contained, great wrath. So what does that leave that truly - does - need to be appeased? Could it be the delicate human psyche? The guilty conscience? That is such a monster hiding in the closet of our psyche ever waiting to jump out and sabotage us at every turn?)

6 Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, 7 “What is he saying? This is blasphemy! Only God can forgive sins!” 8 Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he said to them, “Why are you thinking as you are? 9 Which is easier? To say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven’? Or to say, ‘Get up, take up your mat and walk’? 10 But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins” he said to the paralytic, 11 “I say to you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home!" 12 The man got up, picked up his mat and went out while everyone watched in amazement. They praised God and said, "We have never seen anything like this!"

           ~ Hebrews 10:8-13 ~

8 The Law teaches that offerings and sacrifices must be made because of sin. But why did Christ mention these things and say that God did not want savrifices and offerings? 9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 For God’s will is for us to be made holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 Under the old covenant, the priest stands and ministers before the altar day after day, offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins. 12 But when this priest, Jesus, had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 and there he waits until his enemies/hostiles (all hostility) should be placed [tithémi - to put, place, lay, set, fix, establish] as a footstool (of total dominion and fully conquered) for His feet.
