ACTS 14 1-28

Luke wrote “of the things fulfilled among us” paraphrased [ ] ref { } thots

   Book of the Acts of the First Believers

1 - When they (Paul, Barnabas and others) arrived at Iconium they went to the Jewish/Hebrew synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed. 2 But the unbelieving stirred up the people to turn their minds against the brothers. 3 Yet they remained for a long while, speaking boldly for the Lord, who bore witness by granting signs and wonders done by their hands.

     4 Yet the people of the city were divided. Some sided with the unbelieving and some with the apostles. 5 When an attempt was made by both Gentiles and Jews, together with their rulers, to mistreat them, even to stone them, 6 they heard of it and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the surrounding countryside, 7 and there they continued to preach the good news.

     8 Now at Lystra there was a man sitting who could not use his feet. He had never walked, but had been crippled from birth. 9 He was listening to Paul speak. And Paul, seeing him, and looking closely at him, could see he had faith to be made well. 10 So he said in a loud voice, “Stand up on your feet!” And so the man sprang up and began walking. 11 And when the crowds saw what had happened, they lifted up their voices, saying in Lycaonian, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!”12 Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker.

     13 And the priest of Zeus, whose temple was at the entrance to the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates and wanted to offer sacrifice to them. 14 But when Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their garments and rushed out into the crowd, saying loudly, 15 “Men, why are you doing this!? We are only men like you! We bring you good news! That you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them. 16 In past times he has allowed all nations to walk in their own way. 17 Yet he didn’t leave himself without witness. For he did good by giving rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.”

     18 But even with these words they scarcely restrained the people from offering sacrifice to them.

     19 But soon enough some came from Antioch and Iconium, and having persuaded the crowds, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead. {So quickly, from one extreme to the other, too easily swayed..} 20 But when the disciples gathered around him, he stood up and went back into the city.

     On the next day, he and Barnabas went on to Derbe. 21 And when they had preached the gospel and made many disciples, they returned back through Lystra, Iconium and Antioch (of Pisidia), 22 strengthening the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying it’s through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God. 23 And when they had appointed elders in every group, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they were believing.

    24 After that, they passed through Pisidia and came to Pamphylia. 25 And when they had spoken the message/logos in Perga, they went down to Attalia. 26 And from there they caught a ship and sailed to Antioch (of Syria) from where they had started, having been commended to the grace of God for the work they had been sent out to do.

     27 And when they arrived back at Antioch, they gathered the believers together, and told all that God had done, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. 28 And they remained for a while with the disciples there.

            ☀️ Romans 3:7-18

7 - But if through my lie God's truth abounds to his glory, why am I still being reckoned as a sinner? 8 And why not do evil that good may come of it? As some people are slanderously charging us with saying! Trouble is bound to follow after them.

     9 What then? Are we Hebrews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jew and Greek, are under sin [hamartia - missing the mark]. 10 As it’s written, {without God’s intervention and fulfilling our highest blueprint in us} “none are righteous, no, not one. 11 No one understands, no one seeks for God. 12 All have turned aside, all together they have become lacking and profane. There’s no one who does good [chréstotés - kindness, goodness, gentleness, from chrēstos - useful, good] not even one. 13 Their throat is like an open grave, they use their tongues to deceive, and the venom of snakes is under their tongue and on their lips. 14 Their mouth is full of curses, slander and bitterness. 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood. 16 In their paths are ruin and misery! 17 And the way of peace they have not known. 18 There is no reverence of God before their eyes.” {Imperfection is an abyss of potential. We all need to be born anew, “the seed Jesus” planted in us..(Gal.3:16) and watered.. fed 📜🍞+🍷🕊️(+Logic)}

            🌙 Matthew 7:1-20

(Jesus continues while sitting at the side of a mountain.) 1 - “Judge not - so you - will not be judged. 2 For how you judge others, is how you will be judged, and with the measure you use, is how it will be measured back to you. 3 Why do you see the speck in your brother or sister’s believer’s eye, but don’t notice the log that’s in your eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother or sister, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye’ - when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you’ll see clearly to take the tiny speck out of your brother's eye.

     6 Don’t try to give to the irreverent what is holy, and don’t throw pearls before them, lest they trample them underfoot, and turn to trample you as well.

     7 Ask, and it’ll be given to you. Seek, and you’ll find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives. And the one who seeks, finds. And to the one who knocks it’ll be opened. 9 Or which of you, if their child asks for bread, will give them a stone? 10 Or if they ask for a fish, will give them a serpent? 11 If you then, being [poneros difficulty causing] know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good [agathos - good, beneficial] things to those who ask him!

     12 So treat others how you would like others to treat you! This is - the Law - and the Prophets. {Sum and substance of?}

     13 Enter by the narrow gate! For the gate is wide, and the way easy that leads to calamity [apóleia - ruin, loss, destruction] and many are therein. 14 For small is the gate and narrow is the way to {aionion} life and those who find the way are few. 15 So beware of the false, who come in sheep's clothing {talk a good talk} but actually they are ravenous wolves. 16 You’ll recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes? Or figs from thistles? 17 A healthy tree bears good fruit, but an unhealthy tree bears fruit that is not good. 18 A healthy tree can’t bear noxious fruit nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that doesn’t bear good fruit {character} is cut down and thrown into the fire. {Aka, will go through gehenna crash, whether collective, or personal.} 20 And so you can recognize them by the effects they produce and the fruit they display.”

01-20 - Ro-3 Mt-6

🗝️s New Testament & Bible prophecy study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 3:1-6  Matthew 6:22-34

            ☀️ Romans 3:1-6

1 - What advantage is there then to the Hebrew? {Believers are “grafted into Israel” as ultimately, “a Hebrew is one inwardly”. Humanity will be “Israel” when all is said and totally done.} Or of what value is circumcision? {A requirement for all men who follow the Hebrew Laws of Moses. It represents the carnal, self ‘first and foremost’ nature, as removed/circumcised from the heart. It was done on a child’s “8th day” - this whole program/“administration of ages” lasts eight millennia. ..It was a big bang into the universe as is, but like a clock not running, then, set in motion.}

     2 Why there is much advantage and benefit in every way! To begin with, the Jews were entrusted with the oracles of God! {The adversary, first gone rogue one seethes with hatred..} 3 What if some were unfaithful? {As in all ethnicities and groups.} Does their unfaithfulness {our unfaithfulness as well} cancel the faithfulness of God? 4 Of course not! Let God be true though every one be a liar! As it’s written, “That You (God) may be justified in Your words, and will prevail when You (God) are judged.” {Selah/just think about that!}

     5 But if our condition of failure serves to show the rightness of God, what can we say? That God is unrighteous to inflict wrath {imo, cause and effect} upon us? {Versus ant farm?} I (Paul) am speaking in a human way. 6 He unjust? By no means! For then how could God judge the world? {If not with justice and utter righteousness and rightness? There’s the one option for creation. Out of three? #1.Cause and effect w/remedy built in, #2.ant farm, or #3.entropy/imperfection into nothingness/noT being.

     Every able to think and reason being is bound to sooner or later stray in thought, word or deed, away from God, and his “perfect” will concerning all things. But God iS Life and “is Perfect” Mt.5:48, so strayed in any tiny speck of a way is imperfect, which is totally entropic. The dis-ease, this crucible and slow gehenna, as part of the cure? And immunity..}

            🌙 Matthew 6:22-34

[Sermon while sitting on the Mountainside continued.] 22 -  “Your eye is the lamp of your body. So, if your eye is healthy and clear, your entire body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is not clear, but dark, your body, too, will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is dark, how very great is that darkness!

     24 No one is able to serve two masters. They will love one and hate the other. They’ll hold fast to one and will despise the other. You cannot be devoted to both God and wealth and status.” {Or world approval.}

     25 “Don’t worry about your life, what you’ll eat or drink, or what you’ll wear. Isn’t life more than food? And the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air. They don’t sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns. And yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth more than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to your lifetime?

     28 And why are you anxious about what you’ll wear.. Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil or spin, 29 yet even Solomon in all his glory wasn’t arrayed like one of these. 30 And if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven [grass was twisted and used for fire] will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore don’t be anxious, and thinking, what will we eat, what will we drink, or what shall we wear? 32 For the world seeks after all these things, but your heavenly Father knows what you need. 33 If you seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, then the rest will be added to you. 34 Therefore don’t be anxious about tomorrow, for each day can have enough trouble without worrying about tomorrow. And tomorrow will take care of itself.”

REVELATION - 14 14-20

🗝️’s to riddles, N.T. in a yr study, verses paraphrased Logic [ ] references { } thots

       BOOK OF REVELATION

{A wheat harvest, and later a grape harvest.} 14 - Then I (John) looked, and I saw a radiant cloud, and sitting upon the cloud was one like the Son of man. He had a crown of gold on his head, and a great sickle in his hand. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle! And reap! For the hour has come. The harvest is ripe!”

     16 So he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and it was reaped.

     17 Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven. And he too had a great sickle. 18 I saw another angel coming away from the altar, an angel who has authority over fire. [Same angel as Rev.7:3-5?] And he cried out with a loud voice to the one who had the sickle, telling him “Put in your sickle! And gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. {Amageddon. Surely? Fiery, Is.24:20, the last of “seven thunders”?) 20 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood” (oil?) flowed from the press, as high as a horse's bridle, for 1,600 stadia. {Compared to the wheat and tares parable, here, the ‘wheat’ is mentioned first, whereas in the parable, the tares are gathered first. It’s an easy explanation, there is the gathering TO Armageddon, then the wheat gathered, barely previous, or perhaps even simultaneous with the fiery culmination of the battle, which coincidentally is where the first of three mentions of a lake of fire is.}

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

     {Note also a grape harvest that is “after the thousand years” and after GWT judgment ‘day’. This is revealed in 1Cor.15:22-24,28 wiTh Mt.13:33, key word 3, three harvests - barley, wheat and grape - The Verses:

     Matthew 13:33 - “The kingdom is like a woman working leaven into three batches of flour, until all (of it) is leavened.” With - key word 3 - 1 Corinthians 15:22-28 - “As in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 BUT each in their own order: (1)Christ the firstfruits (barley) then (2)at his coming those who belong to Christ (the wheat). 24 Then comes the end (3)when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying - every rule, and every authority, and eveRy power. 25 For Christ must reign until he has put aLL enemies under him.” [“Whoever is friends with the world is at enmity/war with God” James 4:4.]

     26 “The last enemy to be abolished [katargeó - rendered inoperative] is death. 27 For “God has put all [pas - every, all, the whole] under him.” But when it says, “all are put under him,” it’s plain that he is excepted who put all under him.

     28 And then when all (of the #3 harvest, the overflowing grape harvest, so “all”) are (truly, manifestly and literally/spiritually) under him (subdued/reconciled during GWT judgment/discernment/review/closure for all ‘Day’ - Jn.12:32 - then the Son will openly submit himself to he who arranged all as under him [hypotássō - from hypó - under, and tássō - arranged] that God may be all in all.” Each one of these seven all’s are from the Greek word “pas” which means all. Five were translated into “all things” but not the last two - and “so God will be all in all” …after the second vivification and fiery “palin/again-genesis” of Rev.21:5 - “Behold! I make all new!” (Greek word “pas” - all, every, the whole).}

 • Romans 2:17-29  Matthew 6:1-21 and Rev. 14:14-20 separately

            ☀️ Romans 2:17-29

{The leaders plotted and contrived and had Jesus executed. Power corrupts? Draws the disingenuous? So power gets highjacked?}

17 - If you call yourself a Hebrew {teacher} and rely on your standing, and boast in God, 18 and know his will and approve what is excellent, because you’re instructed in what’s written, 19 and if you’re sure you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, 20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of children, having the embodiment of knowledge and truth, 21 - you then - who teach others, do you learn as well? While you preach against stealing - do you steal? 22 One must not commit adultery - do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols - do you rob temples? {Fraud programs for orphans and widows, for the handicapped and those after misfortunes, etc.} 23 If your boast is in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? {Today, our boast is in “the way” - do we bear bad fruit by not actually following it?} 24 For, as it’s written, “The name of God is blasphemed among the nations because of you!”

    25 For {example} circumcision [part of the Old Covenant/Agreement of following closely the society preservative 10 Laws of Moses] indeed is of value if you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision is the same as no circumcision. {The present state of self first and foremost, is being removed (circumcised) from off of humanity by this one&done, unavoidable contrast. This imperfection/entropy, the dis-ease as part of the cure and immunity will be fully completed - “sealed” - during the “8th day”/millennium, second half of, see Rev.20.}

     26 So, if one who is uncircumcised keeps the requirements of the law - will not their uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision? 27 Then the one who is physically uncircumcised but keeps the law, will condemn you who have the written code, and circumcision, but you break the law! 28 For no one is a Hebrew only outwardly, nor is the circumcision outward and physical. 29 But a Hebrew is one inwardly. And circumcision is of the heart. And is by the Spirit{/Presence of God} - not, by the law {earned}. For the praise is not from man. But from God.

            🌙 Matthew 6:1-21

(Jesus continues his teaching of the people at the side of the hill.) 1 - “Be careful not to do your kindnesses in front of others to be seen by them, for then you won’t be rewarded {blessed} by your Father in heaven. {And then we’re not really being kind but are trying to make ourself look good? For whatever reason.} 2 If you help someone or give to someone in need, don’t sound a trumpet before you! As the hypocrites do in the meeting places and in the streets, so they’ll be praised by others. Truly, I tell you, they have received their reward. 3 So if you give to someone in need, or give to charity, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. 4 Then your giving will be in secret and your Father who sees in secret will reward you. 5 Likewise when you pray. Don’t be like the hypocrites. For they like to stand and pray in the meetings and at the street corners, so others will see them praying. Truly, they’ve received their reward. 6 So when you pray, go to your room and shut the door and pray to your Father, and your Father, who’s hidden, and sees the hidden, will reward you.

     7 And when you pray, don’t repeat empty words, thinking you’ll be heard for your many {practiced} words. 8 Your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 Pray from your heart like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, great is your name! [Onoma - name, reputation, cause]. 10 May your kingdom come! And your will be done, upon earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts and failings, as we forgive those of others. 13 And let us not be led into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’

     14 For if you forgive others their trespasses {including errors of view (politics) or doctrine (religion) etc?} your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15 But if you don’t forgive others {hold grudge in our heart? against others? ☠️ World and “the accuser” always working diligently to divide, cause wars, horrors, sufferings..} then neither will your Father forgive you.

     16 When you fast, don’t put on a long face like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so their fasting will be seen by others. Truly, I tell you, they’ve received their reward. 17 But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face, 18 so your fasting won’t be seen by others, but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

     19 Don’t lay up for yourselves earthly treasure, where moth and rust destroys, and where thieves can break in and steal. 20 But lay up for yourselves eternal treasure, which neither moth nor rust destroys and thieves cannot break into and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, that’s where your heart is.”

01-18 - Ro-2 Mt-5

🗝️s New Testament & Bible prophecy study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 2:6-16  Matthew 5:38-48

            ☀️ Romans 2:6-16

6 - ..He will give to each one, according to their works and actions. 7 To those who with patient forbearance pursue the good - there will be glory, honor and immortality, (for) they are seeking life aionion. {Seeking Life. Good, Communion. Unity.}

     8 But for those who are self-seeking and not obeying the truth, being convinced of unrighteousness, there remains the wrath {cause and effect} and a rising indignation upon every soul working evil. {A natural law because God iS life, and “is perfect” so imperfect is this slow and unavoidable gehenna? Unavoidable because an ant farm is no paradise/perfection? And would not be genuine Life.}

     10 But glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good. 11 For God shows no partiality. 12 All who have sinned [hamartanó - missed the mark, erred] whether with (knowing) the law, or without the law {of Moses, the ten society preserving laws} will perish. All according to law. {Ultimately, the law that God is Life and “is Perfect”. So imperfect is a process “not put out” - opposite to Life - and headed away from life. So “God is savior of all” 1Tim.4:10. “HE has subjected all to disobedience” {to this straying, imperfection} Ro.11:32. {By waiting for a first going rogue one, a high seraphim? Only then - creating the universe and appointing that one as a “covering angel over Eden”. And so, all of heaven and all of earth are taking this unavoidable journey all together at once.}

    13 It’s not hearers who are righteous before God, but doers. 14 For when Gentiles {these days, not yet believers} who don’t understand the law, by nature do as the law says, 15 it shows it’s written in their hearts, and they’re following a good conscience. Our thoughts will accuse or excuse us, 16 on that ‘day’ when God will judge the secrets of men/mankind according to the gospel (news) of Christ Jesus.

     “On that day” (during) the “last day”, last half of the “8th” ‘day’/aion? REV.20, Lev.23:36, Jn.7:37.}

Holy Days, An Outline - Lev.23

Spring Holy Days - 1st brief advent

Fall Holy Days - 2nd long advent (Mt.25:10)

            🌙 Matthew 5:38-48

(Jesus’ “Sermon on the Mountain” continued.) 38 - “You have heard it said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth?’ 39 I say to you, don’t resist evil. If someone should slap you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek. 40 And if anyone would sue you and take your shirt, let them have your coat as well.

     41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two. 42 Give to the one who asks from you, and don’t refuse the one who would borrow.

     43 You’ve heard it said, ‘You shall love your neighbor/fellow person, and hate your enemy.’ 44 Well I say, love your enemies and pray for those who misuse you! 45 So you may be sons and daughters of your Father who’s in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise upon both evil and good, and sends rain upon the just and the unjust.

     46 If you love only those who love you, of what benefit is that? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?” [Irony, Matthew, the author, was a tax collector before following Jesus. ..Hebrew tax collectors for occupier Rome, so considered by society, as low in society.]

     47 “And if you greet only your brethren and friends, what more are you doing than others? Don’t even the Gentiles do the same? 48 You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father” {who iS Life} “is perfect”.

     {Perfect is a work of GOD in us, and “he is faithful to complete the work he begins” Philippians 1:6.}

ACTS 13 43-52

🗝️’s to riddles, my own N.T. in a yr study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

     Book of the Acts of the First Believers

43 - After Sabbath meeting at the synagogue (in Antioch near Persia/Turkey) broke up, many Hebrews/Jews and converts to Judaism followed after Paul and Barnabas to hear more. So they spoke some more with them, and urged them to continue in the grace of God.

     44 The next Sabbath almost the whole city (of Antioch of Pisidia) gathered to hear the message of the LORD. 45 But when the leaders saw the crowds, they were filled with envy. So they began to contradict whatever was spoken by Paul, and they were throwing out insults and accusations. 46 But Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first. But since you leaders sneer at it and thrust it aside, judging yourselves as unworthy of enduring life, behold, we’re turning to the Gentiles! [The other nations.] 47 For so has the LORD commanded us. For HE said of the Son, ‘I have made you a light for the nations, that you may bring salvation to the ends of earth.’”

     48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying in the message of the LORD, and those appointed [tassó - drawn up in order, arranged, appointed] {assigned the (early) role of} enduring life, believed.

     49 The message of the LORD was spreading throughout the whole region. 50 But the leaders - incited - the devout women of high standing and the leading men of the (non-Jewish) city. And stirred up a persecution [diógmos - literally - the hunt to bring someone down, trying to suppress and punish their convictions; hostility] against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district. 51 So they shook the dust of that city from off their feet and went on to Iconium. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God).
