GospeL Verses ~ John 4:27-44

27 - When his disciples came back (to the well outside a Samaritan town), they marveled that he was talking with a woman, but no one said, “Why are you talking with her?” 28 So the woman left her water jar and went into town and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Can this be the Christ?” 30 So they came out of the town to see him. 31 Meanwhile the disciples were urging him, saying, “Teacher, eat.” 32 But he told them, “I have food to eat that you don’t know about.” 33 So the disciples said to each other, “Has someone brought him something to eat?” 34 Jesus said, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work. 35 Do you say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes (your viewpoint) and see the fields are already white for harvest. 36 Already the one who harvests is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together. 37 For here the saying holds true, ‘One plants and another harvests.’ 38 I sent you to harvest that for which you did not labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.”

39 Many of the Samaritans of that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony, “He told me all that I ever did.” 40 So they asked him to stay, and he stayed there with them for two days. 41 And many more believed because of the things he said. 42 They said to the woman, “It’s no longer only because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard him for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.” 43 After the two days he continued on to Galilee. 44 For Jesus himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country [patris - fatherland].

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                  ~ 2 Corinthians 13:10-14

10 - I write these things while I am away from you, so that when I come I may not have to be severe in my use of the authority that the Lord has given me. Authority for building up and not for tearing down. (Paul has been honest with the Corinthian believers concerning their failures and impending failure, but there is no mention of an afterlife burning hell place, which would be rather important to mention if it was a possibility.)

11 Finally, brethren, rejoice. Aim for restoration and comfort one another. Agree with one another and live in peace, and the God - of love and peace - will be with you. 12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. 13 All the saints [hagios - core meaning - different; separated ones] greet you! 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
