GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 10:1-15

1 - Jesus summoned the twelve and gave to them authority to drive out the impure [akathartos - not free of contamination] spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. 2 These are the names of the twelve apostles: Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew, James son of Zebedee, and his brother John, 3 Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax collector, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, 4 Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who later betrayed him.

5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions, “Don’t go among the Gentiles (nations) or enter any town of the (neighboring) Samaritans. 6 Go instead to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 As you go, proclaim this message, ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, so freely give. 9 Don’t take a money belt, 10 a bag for the journey, nor a staff, or an extra shirt or sandals, for the worker is worth his keep. (God will provide.) 11 Whatever town or village you enter, seek a worthy person and stay at their house until you leave. 12 As you enter, greet the household. 13 If the home is deserving, let your peace rest upon it. But if it is not, let your peace return to you, 14 and if anyone will not welcome you or will not listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet. 15 Truly I tell you, it will be more tolerable [anektoteros - more tolerable, from anechΓ³ - ana - up/completing a process and echΓ³ - to have, hold, bear] on day of [en - in, on, at, by, with, among, during] judgment for Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                  ~ Romans 5:11-15 ~

11 - Not only this! But we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus, through whom we have received reconciliation. 12 Therefore - just as - sin [hamartia - missing the mark] entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all, because all sinned (fall short). 13 To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given. But sin is not charged against anyone where there is no law stated. (Like no crime can be taken to court if there are no laws.) 14 Regardless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who didn’t sin by breaking a command, as Adam did. He being a pattern (type) of the one that was to come. 15 But the gift (from the one that came) is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one - how much - more - does the gift overflow to the many! (The same many.) The gift that came by the one man, Jesus Christ, and by God’s grace. [Both death, and the gift of Life, each came through one person, death through Adam, life through Jesus. ..What? You thought something unforseen occurred? Took God by surprise? This is not HiS “administration/program of the ages”?]
