Diablo Ruling

“The great dragon was thrown-down - the ancient serpent, the one being called the devil (greek diablo/accuser) and Satan/opposer, the one deceiving the whole world - he was thrown-down to the earth. And his angels were thrown-down with him.

And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying — Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of Messiah has come, because the accuser of our brothers/sisters was thrown down, the one accusing them before our God by day and by night.” - Rev.12:9-10.

So why is diablo/the devil still allowed to raise havoc upon Earth??

In Eden God included a visible option of straying/imperfection - which was a true possibility once He endowed thinking and reasoning ability. And I guess why do that if you don’t let it run its course!

Obviously He is creating beings “of heaven and earth” - where “He will TABERNACLE with mankind upon Earth made anew” (i.e. Re-Genesis, Rev.21:1-5; 2Pet.3:12-13; Eph.1:10; Col.1:20). But! The whole has to understand good from evil, which is also blessing from curse, or that is, blessing from a virtual abyss of possibilities. And which is also Life from death, because God Most High iS Life, and “is perfect” (Mt.5:48) so straying/imperfection can only ever result in trouble (tribulation), ruin (apocalypse, both individual and collective) and death (not being). So straying/imperfection is really only utterly futile, and this sometimes sad, and even perilous, journey/lesson is unavoidable.

And, there’s this - because God is Life, He lives through, and experiences, all sufferings and sorrows that ever occur. Along with every battle of every war.. every horror ..every murder.. every affront. Why would He put Himself through all that!? So we (angel and man/woman) can have genuine thinking, reasoning, pondering and dreaming ability..?

Is Lake of Fire Literal or Symbol

It’s both! We know He is a consuming/purifying fire. (LOF as symbol of that spiritual, yet literal, truth.)

Soberly looking at WHERE in Revelation lake of fire is mentioned - and Jude 7 saying it is NOT a place:

#1 mention, is at fiery armageddon during which the Lord returns (aka, manmade, therefor is earthly prophecy like the rest of the book). #2 mention is at the final defeat of the adversary, beFore the resurrection of all not yet saved before their death. And #3 mention is at the “all made new” event when “the elements melt with furious, consuming heat and there is a new heavens and Earth where rightness will dwell” God now being “all in all” and “will TABERNACLE with mankind upon Earth”.

“The bear will graze with the cow, the lion will eat straw like the ox” (Is.11:7).

And note this! Yhvh/God Most High has given us the outline of the Son’s long second advent. TRUMPETS (sound) then 10days/1000yrs (yes? see the calendar of Lev.23). Followed by DAY oF ATONEMENT (DOA for the - initially - doa) consisting of 500yrs (represented by 5days, Lev.23).

And then! “God will now TABERNACLE with mankind upon Earth made anew” (after the re-genesis). Any not by then experiencing the 3 R’s (repentance, reconciliation, renewal) will experience it during that “all made new” event (called the 2nd death?) when “the elements will melt in furious heat” (lake of fire made for dragon&co).

Lev.23; [[2Pet.3:12-13-#3 lake of fire - 2Pet.3:10 being #1 lake of fire (the two being like bookends outlining the long 2nd advent)]]

    Rev.20 & 21:1-5; 1Cor.15:(22-)28; Jude7, see Is.24:20! Is.11:7see Mic.4:3-4

The Lord said “all those in the tombs” (graves) “will hear His voice and will come forth ..some in the resurrection of life, and some in the resurrection of judgment” (Jn.5:28-29). Which is “after the thousand years” (Rev.20:5).

And he said, Matthew 25:46 - “these will rise into aionian-kolasis *AGE*LasTing-CORRECTION” (translated, everlasting punishment) “but the righteous into aionian life” (the millennium, called THE age).

THE PROTOTYPE

James 4:1 totally sums up the state of humanity. It says, “why do you fight and argue with each other? Isn’t it because of selfishness?” (That’s from the Bible, a modern translation.)

So what if selfishness could be overcome? And each one instead puts the other first. The key of course is truly doing it. Lol. Can it be done? It’s a lot easier with a certain seed in us - one totally misunderstood. It starts out tiny, but if watered and fertilized it will grow into the biggest and most beautiful tree (or flower) in the garden of our soul. All those ideals and truly wonderful aspirations we have, actually can be reached, and so much easier. Is it a magic pill?

Yes it is! But there may be a few weeds, during the process, that need to be pulled up.

But think about it, how could there be a universe of peace, justice and joy, if the energy is flowing backward? Toward self. Isn’t it eventually a vacuum? Just suppose if life isn’t an accident (and anomaly) after all.

What’s the first thing that has to be done in order for all that exist to be happy, free and locked into all energy flowing outward as genuine love and affection? No speck of selfishness or imperfection anywhere.

Don’t think it can be done? Maybe that’s why this learning process is so full of hard knocks. You really think we’d be convinced any other way?

The Son of God is called "First" - Greek word "Proto" - He is "the seed" by which one is "born again".

Stranger Than Fiction

History Outline/Sketch From A Biblical Perspective

Cain slew Abel (A sort of king slew priest spirit? Early ruling partnerships were king/priest). This early act seems to portray the - political - history of nations,  as a constant competition for dominance. History of the peoples may be a completely different story, and likely is.

About 2000 years of ‘prehistory’.

Then man built the first tower, Babel Tower in Mesopotamia, land of red clay, in order to reach to the stars. “Nothing will be beyond them” God said.. reaching a culmination so early on? So he confused the languages and humanity spread to the Nile Valley, the Danube River Valley, the Indus Valley of India, called “fertile crescents” (along with Mesopotamia) and eventually over all the Earth.

Almost 2000 years later is when the Great Pyramids of Egypt were built, and beginning portions of the Great Wall of China. The Indus Valley Civilization was flourishing, as was the Norte Chico civilization in Peru, oldest civilization of the Americas.

It wasn’t for another 500 years or so that God called Abraham - later grandfather of the twelve tribes of Israel - out of Babylon. This was around the time of Stonehenge.

The twelve tribes became slaves in Egypt for four hundred years. Then was “the Exodus” via the parting of the Red Sea and Israel moved into Canaan. But instead of thoroughly delivering the lands from the barbaric practice of child and infant sacrifice to Baal-Molech (by burning alive) eventually Israel fell under its sway. Even after building a rather elaborate tent, and then a temple for Yahweh (Most High God).

Iron is first forged in the Nok Culture in what is today Nigeria.

The First King of Israel - 1,000 BCE. Israel requested a king, but Yhwh (Yahweh) had tried to discourage it “do as they ask” he said, “but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign-over them will claim as his rights." (1 Samuel 8:9)

Assyria and Babylon destroyed Jerusalem and carried many of the people first off to Assyria, then off to Babylon. This included the Prophet Daniel, who prophesied of Alexander the Great (Dan.8:8) among others. This was about the time of the travels and teachings of “the Buddha” in India, and Confucius in China.

But after seventy years, the temple was rebuilt, while to the west, Greece and Athens were having a golden age.

Socrates, Plato, Aristotle.. (A famous student of Aristotle was Alexander the great.)

Rome grew dominant but the language commonly spoken, and the culture, was Greek.

221 BCE, Imperial China begins. By 212 (BCE) the walls of China join, forming the Great Wall as a defense against the fierce Mongols to the north.

The Arab trade routes and the “Silk Road” from China bring spice, incense and other luxuries to the west.

Hail Augustus Caesar, nephew and adopted son of Julius Caesar, and the first Roman emperor. Rome, from a republic, is now an empire. (27 BC )

Jesus is born 6 BC to 1 AD and is crucified 27-33 AD, and says “if he is lifted up” (executed on a Roman cross) “he will draw all” (Jn.12:32).

Christian martyrdom begins, the gospel accounts of Jesus’ life are written, Paul, pursuer, jailer and even killer of Christians, turns believer and writes most of the rest of the New Testament as letters written to groups of early believers he had a large role in establishing. And John, only disciple not executed, receives “from Jesus” the Book of Revelation vision which shows main elements that progress through the latter age (the year’s of our Lord, AD/CE).

In a dramatic scene Jesus unrolls the Revelation scroll which is sealed with seven seals (presumedly wax seals). As he breaks each seal off the scroll, and unfurls it, at the first four breakings, out come riding one of what is called the four horsemen of the apocalypse. So called because their rides, becoming gallops(?) continue growing and progressing until ‘the end’. They are (1) a rider on a white horse, riding forth conquering. This is the gospel, the “good news for all”. (Most eschatology belief sort of places this rider last, according to history that is. The Seals, so called, do escalate or become magnified towards the conclusion.) Next (2) is a red horse and rider, wars. Man’s unwanted but persistent companion. Then (3) a black horse.. inequity and shortages a product of wars, along with (4) a pale rider and horse, pandemics, pestilences, plagues, including chemical as with WW2, for after this rider “follows the grave”. Including the mass grave.

He breaks open the fifth seal and we see symbolized martyrdom continuing through the age, and next the breaking open of the sixth seal shows something HUGE occurring.. Or perhaps it especially seems that way because the seal events are described - here at the beginning of the vision - as their FULL effects from their first to their last. War “was given a very long, or great sword” Rev.6:12-17; 13:13 (6:4).

“After this” John says, “I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth holding back its four winds so that no wind would blow, harming land, or sea, or any tree” Rev.7:1 and 3. It seems obvious, interruption of this holding back of 7:1 will see world events escalate towards the culmination (of mankind’s choices and doings, and of this unavoidable learning of good from evil, which is also life from death, true from not true). John dies an old man full of years.

Golden age of the Han Dynasty in China - 206 B.C. to 220 A.D.

In 313, Roman Emperor Constantine declares the empire ‘Christian’ and the “bishop of Rome” in retrospect, is first called pope. (Sort of a new king-priest line to rule the lands.)

The Roman Empire, at its borders, fought with European northern barbaric (so called uncivilized) tribes like the Saxons, Goths (Visigoths and Ostrogoths), Franks, Vandals, Huns, for many years until Rome itself was sacked, bringing about what has been called the dark ages (and was the early Middle Ages, early European medieval times) from 476 to about 800 (or 1000 according to other reckoning).

Plague of Justinian killed up to 10,000 people a day, 561 CE.

622, Muhammad (the more accurate spelling) begins the first Islamic state.. and the Muslim conquest from the Nile Valley to the fertile crescent in the Middle East.

The Arab slave trade of East African people around the Indian Ocean and the Sahara began.

Meanwhile, through the age there are so many wars we can barely count them. Universities and Cathedrals are built, as well as London Bridge and Tower of London.

The first inquisition (by ‘authorities’ not the people) was set up in 1184 and inquisitions continued for about 700 years. But burning ‘heretics’ at the stake began earlier (yesteryear’s Rev.13:13?)

In 1299 the Ottoman Empire was founded, a caliphate that controlled a lot of Southeast Europe, West Asia, and North Africa up to 1923.

Wars continue, the Magna Charter, of (some) individual rights vs. the King and rulers, was written in 1215. The Renaissance began around 1300. Ming Dynasty, China..

The Bubonic Plague or Black Death, deadliest pandemic recorded in history, resulted in the deaths of up to 75–200 million people in Eurasia and North Africa, from 1346 to 1353.

The printing press was invented in 1440, and the industrial revolution began in 1760, forty years after a portion of Christianity, “with wings like eagles” sailed to “the new world” and grew to overpower three (European) nations laying claim to that world (Rev.12:14; Dan.7:8). Meant to live in peace with, and learn from the indigenous peoples, and they in turn learn from them? Well. It certainly could have been a potential ..and maybe was for a year or two. Until “government” was big on the scene. (Is it any wonder biblical prophecy calls human governings, beasts? The prophesied last one being global, and man’s last great idol to replace God Most High.)

An age of European colonialism - of the exploration and conquest of many lands - began about 1500. This followed the discovery of a sea route around Africa's southern peninsula in 1488, and the discovery of America in 1492.

1519 sees the beginning of the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire, also known as the Conquest of Mexico. It was a main event in the Spanish colonization of the Americas.

The Portuguese, in 1526, completed the first transatlantic slave voyage (to Brazil) and other European nations soon followed suit. South America (especially Brazil) became the home of millions of African South Americans.

Napolean rose to power during the french revolution and declared himself emperor in 1804, and in 1806 brought about the fall of the Holy Roman Empire.

In 1848 Marx (and Engels) published “The Communist Manifesto”. In 1859 Charles Darwin published His theory in his book “On The Origins Of Species”. [These two becoming the modern king and ‘priest’ (rule) of ‘last days’?]

Imperialism, alliances of nations, and the independence dispute of Serbian nations situated between Ottoman expansion (gone into decline) and western interests, all mixed to become WW1. ..Which began with a terrorist act, and resulted in huge losses of life (1914-1918).

In 1917 Lenin transformed the failing Russian Empire into “the Soviet State”, called the Soviet Union.. From a monarchy to a Socialist state. (Famous Lenin quotes: The goal of socialism is communism; Fascism is capitalism in decay; Sometimes history needs a push; A lie told often enough becomes the truth; Give us the child for 8 years and it will be a Bolshevik forever.)

The Spanish flu, also known as the 1918 flu pandemic, and H1N1 influenza A, was an unusually deadly pandemic from February 1918 to April 1920, and infected 500 million people (about a third of the world's population at the time) and caused 50 million deaths.

1918, Hitler joined the German Workers Party, rose to power by playing on and stirring up the frustrations of post war Germans. He is voted Chancellor of Germany in 1933.

Oil was discovered and drilled in the U.S. then in the Middle East and elsewhere. Certain technological advances occurred, and soon oil became the preferred energy source for electric lighting and the automobile. By 1919, oil was powering ships, trucks, tanks, and military planes in WW2, and by now was a great geopolitical prize, which has resulted in opposing alliances concerning the world’s oil reserves and its marketing.

Five million people died of starvation in the Soviet Union, under “Father Stalin” between 1931 and 1934. About a hundred thousand more died in his “great purge” 1936-1938.

WW2 was fought from September 1, 1939 to September 2, 1945, causing 70 to 85 million deaths, including 11 million during “the holocaust” from 1941 to 1945. It saw the hugely impacting development of thermonuclear weaponry when the U.S. detonated two nuclear weapons over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, in August of 1945 (with the consent of the United Kingdom, as required by “the Quebec Agreement”).

In October of 1945 the United Nations was formed, sort of a rebirth of the League of Nations which hadn’t lasted long. And because a number of countries in Europe and Asia adopted communist governments in the late 1940s, the “cold war” meant to prevent communist expansion began.

Mahatma Gandhi was leader of India’s non-violent independence movement against British colonial rule, via peaceful forms of civil disobedience and organized boycotts. He inspired others like Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela, and still influences the world today. He was assassinated by a Hindu fanatic, who disapproved of his tolerance toward Muslims, in 1948.

China became a communist state in 1949, Vietnam in 1945 - U.S. President Truman had said “we’ll help any country battle communism” known as the Truman Doctrine - Cuba, became a communist state in 1959, and Lao in 1975.

The theory of Socialism is the state, on behalf of the people, controls production. In Communism the state controls both production and consumption [distribution? sharing..] and private property is not allowed.

Why are we allowed to do all this? Confucius say, “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand” ...?

[Note: the whole matter being(?) Just HOW do you have genuinely able to think and reason beings, aNd, keep paradise/perfection intact?]

Bible Prophecy In Plain English

A duplicate post on each of my blogs.
Presently, I think we are still in the pause of seal 6 (of thermonuclear as warfare – Rev.7:1-2, but the seals are told as to their total effects, including at the ‘end’ which veils the vision I think).
So when that pause is interrupted – though I think at first limitedly – is when things start to escalate.. Today’s world beast/body will ‘step up’ as will the office which carried out 13:13.. same seal 6 first event, which pinpoints an office prominant in last days and who gives breath (authority) to the world beast (that has iron/bronze – roman/greek roots, see Dan.7:7,19 w/ Rev.13:1 & Dan.2:31-45) but will be either infiltrated by or in partnership with the wild beast who does Rev.20:4). This world beast will make or ratify a 7 year agreement/treaty/covenant/league which they will break with Israel in the middle of it by either stopping sacrifices at a 3rd temple or (I believe) by removing or taking away the Western (Wailing) Wall where sacrifices of prayers are offered daily (completing Mt.24:1-2 “see all this?”). And 3.5 years plus 30 days later is when shall be set up the final abomination that desolates(?) This time upon the human temple made for God? Perhaps with behavior modification? And tracking.. Maybe lauded as a step up in ‘evolution’? Or.. who knows? A vaccine you cannot buy or sell without. “But – blessed – are those who wait and come to 45 days later”. With the last “ten days” escalating to will be killed..? (Dan.12:11-12; Rev.2:10)
Another Rev. character is today’s false prophet who has a widely believed false prophecy and many modern miracles and wonders. ‘He’ also has a “strong delusion” which “seats man in the temple of God, convincing himself he is god”/highest power deciding good and evil. A strong (but ridiculous, lol) delusion which has caused cultural “falling away” from the faith. He enabled 13:13 and will give the beast 666.
Rev.12:16 suggests drought, and out of the smoke of it, plus war, shall come widespread marshall law for five months? (Rev.9:3,9) The sun will give less light (through the smoke) and the moon will reflect red. Then will be seen the Son of man coming on the clouds with great glory and He will send His angels to gather His believers from all directions of the Earth. (Mt.24:29-31)
“He comes in fire with His angels” 2Thess.1:7-8, and “gathers His wheat into His barn” just barely after the tares have gathered to armageddon in Gehenna Valley.. with enough chain reaction to make the “Earth shake to and fro?” and “oil to flow high as horse’s bridles..?” (Isaiah 24:20; Mt.13:30; Rev.14; and 16:14,15,16!)

Gentiles Glorifying God On Day Of Visitation

2 Peter 2:12 says - “Keep your conduct honorable among the-Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, GLORIFY God in the day of visitation.”

VISITATION = https://biblehub.com/interlinear/1_peter/2-12.htm - #1984 - episkopé: a visiting, an overseeing

What is this visiting/overseeing? It’s “gentiles” who this verse says will GLORIFY God during that ‘day’ of “overseeing”.

I think most genuine readers of the scripture would agree “visitation” refers to the advents of the Lord.. (Unless under the spell of an untruth or another?)

There’s this - the FOUR occurrences of this word - episkope’

Luke 19:44 “And they will level you (Jerusalem) to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation."

Acts 1:20 - (speaking of Judas, Peter said) - “For it is written in [the] book of Psalms, Let his place become desolate, and let there be no dweller in it; and, Let another take his overseership-episkope’.”

1 Timothy 3:1 - “This is a trustworthy saying, that if a man desires Eldership (episkope’) he desires a good work.”

And of course our verse - 2 Peter 2:12 - “Keep your conduct honorable among the-Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, GLORIFY God in the day of visitation/episkope’.”

episkope - “Definition: a visiting, an overseeing
Usage: (a) visitation (of judgment), (b) oversight, supervision, overseership... inspection, investigation.. so universally, ἐν ἐπισκοπή ψυχῶν, when he shall search the souls of men, i. e. in the time of divine judgment..”

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
“And let your way of life be beautiful before all children of men, those who speak wicked words of you, that they may see your beautiful works and praise God in the day of examination.” (Beautiful works/love? And services, etc of love?)

If ‘day’ of judgment (the one the Lord referred to) / “the judgment” as the Lord called it, is ONLY a time of weeping, gnashing of teeth and (some) outer darkness.. Why would the gentiles GLORIFY or end up GLORIFYING God on that ‘day’??

If those who do not yet believe, thus receiving their pardon, before their death, at resurrection are simply dumped into a purgatory/lake of fire.. In light of the description of “visitstion, overseership - episkope’.. I think it’s time to expand upon our concept.. Which of course the Spirit always builds upon the truths He teaches..

God is indeed a consuming/purifying fire.. but 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8 says when the Lord returns/appears/second visitation amidst fire, it is “full and complete punishment”.

This leads me to believe that although in the “resurrection of judgment” (see Rev.20) there is surely bound to be on the part of some.. some weeping.. some gnashing of teeth - don’t forget the one unable to be forgiven sin while being in it - namely the blaspheming of God’s Spirit/hating God. And thus some gnashing of teeth and even some outer darkness on the part of some.

Surely some will rise/“come forth out of their graves/tombs” (JOHN 5:28(29) Genesis 3:4 & 19!!) and finding theirselves alive, etc. may not weep or gnash their teeth so much as greet it all as the “good news” it is! I think I know a LOT of folks that would very likely fit this category! Don’t you?

As a matter of fact, the way the “good news for all” has been corrupted / lost some if its glory and picked up some baggage over these 2000 years of being handed down through human hands, human translators and human teachers, I in all genuineness cannot blame anyone at all, for not “believing” thus having their name in the book of life right now!

The Lord said - “All in the tombs” (which are graves) “will hear His voice and will come forth” (from their graves/tombs) “those who have done good in the resurrection of life” (REV.20) “and those who have done evil, in the resurrection of judgment.” (John 5:28-29)

Peter wrote - “..For God knows how to preserve the unrighteous for CORRECTION/kolazo on day” (age?) “of judgment”. (The one Jesus referred to and talked about.)

GOD ALL POWERFUL

I found God in a nontraditional way. I had been researching world religions, meditation and astrology.. That was 39 years ago. After some disillusionment with church interpretations of the message of God, contained in the Bible, I've been studying (the Bible) on my own. And now we have such great study aids and apps these days! Tracing the words in verses back to the original Greek (or Hebrew) is SO revealing. I tell you we have greatly underestimated Him! My son asked me almost 20 years ago - "Why was the tree of knowing good and evil in the garden?" and "Isn't it great we get to be an ant farm?"

You know.. I wasn't satisfied with my answers, so I prayed and the answers knocked my socks off. Clean off, and they're still knocked off. And it's ultimately so simple.

Short story we're no ant farm. 'Hell' is a mistranslation of four words (four words! Five if we count pit - the "dusty pit".) Any punishment is "corrective", especially seeing as he is Father.. "God is the savior of all" 1 Timothy 4:10. Jesus said He will draw all to Him, John 12:32. Philippians 2:11 - "Every tongue will wholeheartedly confess that Jesus is Lord.." (Taking into account the Greek.) And SO many verses which, somehow, go unseen. But alas, I am not the only one who sees them! Peace! God bless! [Note to self, make a list of web sites and blogs. Tentmaker.org is one I think of right away.]

All Manner Of Doctrine

It's great to be able to go on the world wide web and discuss all manner of doctrine with many others of the household of God.

But when He comes, will He find us teaching "believe in Jesus" or will He find us beating one another? Will He find faith on the Earth?

The most insidious thread having weaved its way into the fray, is the thought that if one disagrees with another's doctrine, they are not part of the household of the Lord.

When Jesus prayed - let them be one as the Father and He are one. And the scripture says the fruit of the flesh (imperfect carnal character) includes such things as sects, party sentiment, factions.

We all should always remember to rightly divide our zeal for Truth and the spirit of competition, which of course, competition, is of that lower flawed and carnal character. Truth needs no one's defense. Our attitude should be say it and shake the dust..

Whenever we spy an insidious thread slithering its way amongst us we should immediately pierce it in its tracks with the sharp double edged sWord of Truth. (Pierce it with love.)

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love" - the Apostle John, 1 Jn 4:7,8.

Such words will likely not convince one who does not love, but perhaps such words may prevent one who does love from falling into the same snare.

Peter Said - I’m Going Fishing

I grew up a couple of hours away from the ocean. So I love the verses in the New Testament if they mention the seashore.

We’ve all read the account of Jesus in the morning meeting the apostles on the shore of the Sea of Tiberias.

“Tiberias” I think is another name for Galilee (?)

Yes it is, I looked it up - I have Biblehub’s app, so I have the interlinear study tools on my phone. (Hooray!)

The town of Tiberias is on the west side of the lake, so I’m thinking this means they were on the western shore. It likely was the custom, if you were on the western shore, to call it Sea of Tiberias.

So I was reading this - John chapter 21, where Jesus asks apostle Peter “lovest thou me?” (Ye olde englishe is how I first read it, so it's how I always 'hear' it.)

“Do you love me more - “and it’s usually translated as “more than these others?” or just “more than these”.

But today I was reading it in the Contemporary English Version and it said Jesus was asking “do you love me more than these others do?”

I thought, “what..!? ...No way.. that’s just taking it too far” (out there..) So I just had to read it in the interlinear. Well interlinear says the word used means “this”. Could it possibly be “do you love me more than this?” (Peter had said, “I’m a going fishing!” His livelihood and possibly pastime.. spent much of his life on the sea fishing..)

The language! It’s all Greek to me! I’ve tried trying to figure out the different spellings of the word usages.. Is it noun, verb, adjective..? Does it point forward, backward..? (Is there a sideways?)

So I looked up other translations of that version of the word, and I looked up other translations of the verse, and aha! “The Aramaic Bible in Plain English” translates it as, “do you love me more than these things?” So language wise it may not be an outrageous way of thinking about that verse and scene.

(John 21:15) "Do you love Me more than all this?"

What Miraculous Power

Pilate and Herod "had been enemies", but on the day of Jesus' being accused and tried, "they became friends".

They didn't of course, become Christians or followers of Jesus, but just being in Jesus' presence brought them benefit. Changed something in them, at least long enough to become friends, from being enemies.

! What miraculous power is this?!

When He endowed thinking ability, it's like a Pandora's box was flung open!

Why? Because with thinking ability comes the ability to make choices. And so a whole new world (tree) of possibilities came about.

And letting everything run its course (obviously?) so that all things need to be "subdued". And by that whole process, the chaos exploding, and the subduing of it through Jesus (through whom all things were originally made) all things are restored.

And by end of subsequent ages (two?) everything is locked into place. Making perfect paradise for all. Love will be the ruling force. "God is Love" 1 John 4:8

A 'big bang'. From choas. To locked into (perfect) place.

! What miracle power is this!?

In The Quietness

Imagine life with no advertising, no television, internet, YouTube, or even ringing or notifying phones. (Just person to person text, lol.) It's okay to imagine this!

Sit outside in your garden, your living space. And enjoy the inner spirit of quietness. If you wait peacefully, God Himself will send you a hello.

It may be a butterfly drifting by.. or even a bee. A breeze, or a flower you notice.. A chipmunk scampering across the yard, or a squirrel along a tree branch.. And, or, He will speak to your heart in the quietness..

This is now, through Jesus, our Holy of holies, the place where we meet with God our Heavenly Father.

(We can cultivate all day, the spirit of inner quietness.)

Grace

Lately I've been thinking how the Father and Son are all the government we need.

"The government is upon His shoulders" (Jesus') "there will be no end to the increase of peace." (Isaiah)

Father and Son - our sun and moon being a tiny shadow of - His Spirit of Life shines forth, into and throughout all things. Shining out from the center, all things revolving around His Throne.

But with rationality comes all manner of choice. (Thankfully limited, lol.) And it's being let to run its course.. afterall, what is learned under a dictatorship? Through faith (knowing and trusting) the redemption (from imperfection and its result, death) we align ourselves with the transforming power of grace. Ultimately (surely?) an all powerful force.

"....the Spirit gives Life." (2 Corinthians 3:6)

A Line

𐂕 There was a line.. a thought, many (many) years ago, which drifted across a very blue sky.. and hit me in the head. After which, my life was never the same. I was never the same.
What was this thought? "You've been learning about the forces in the universe" - I'd been reading up on world religions, and then astrology (spiritual) - "and what about the force that created the universe, and what if that force has consciousness?"

Today while watching the last episode of one of the best shows I've ever watched, I heard this line - which sounded awfully familiar. I'll begin it midstream, where it struck me as familiar, "...about the forces that bind the universe, but what binds humans? Love.."*

It's the same answer for both questions - "God is Love" - 1 John 4:8. ("Love never fails" - 1 Corinthians 13:8.)

"...until the time comes for the restoration of all things (pas - every, all, the whole)"... Acts 3:21

"..made known to us the mystery of His will.. at the fullness of time, to bring all things in heaven, and on earth, together in Christ." Ephesians 9:10

"...through Jesus, to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven.." Colossians 1:20

And Revelation 21:5,4 - "Behold I will make all things new.. and death will be no more nor mourning nor crying nor pain; they will be no more.." None, anywhere!

God is love. ...Love never, ever, fails.

Beware The Rules

Galatians 5:1 says -
"..Christ has made us free! And do not be entangled again by a yoke of servitude".

This does not of course, mean a believer and follower of Jesus is free to live a dissolute life! As Paul wrote "God forbid!" and "those things lead to death, where's the attraction?"

That's why The Way is a "narrow way"! Because there's huge ditches on either side! One is the ditch of license. And the other is the ditch of "rules". Beware the rules!

The first churches were not as we have our churches now. They were brothers and sisters (in love with God and Jesus) getting together. And following the Spirit.

The first enemies - "love your enemies" - were the 'Judaizers'. They wanted Gentiles (non-Hebrew, not under the Law of Moses) believers to become Judean. If we read the Letter to the Galatians, or any other letter actually, but especially Galatians, it's obvious this was not the plan of God. [Also Acts chapter 15, of course.]

And we can see that spirit today. It's always been very active! You must do this, you must not do that. When The Way is a relationship. And the living upon God's Word and Spirit (bread and wine of life). "If you are led of the Spirit, you will not be doing the acts of the lower carnal character." You just won't. You are following and yearning after the Spirit and drinking of the Word of Life. That is The Way of transformation and 'self improvement' - though it is NO act of self.

When we seek to follow rules.. any rules, to be 'right with God', approved of by God.. we have stepped out of His plan. We are saying or trying to believe, that God will owe us acceptance, like wages. (On the Holy Day "you will do NO work!") It is a gift. It is His doing. It is a recognition and affirmation that HE, is the only source of good. (The only source of Life!) And this is "all given to us, freely, through Jesus".
"That the spirit in our heart cries 'abba, Father!' is the sign and seal and proof that we are His! His pledge that all that He has promised shall be given." And "He is faithful to carry out the good work which He has begun in us". ..."via the same POWER which rose Jesus from the grave."

The other - "any 'other' gospel" - has not that power. It's a dead end. It's a ditch.

It comes in many guises. The second 'enemies' of the gospel (news/good news) were the gnostics. They had a very large whole set of rules! They believed matter, the universe, was why mankind was flawed and the world was as it is. That somehow we (life) had 'fallen into matter' and this is what we needed to be saved from. The body was especially evil, and all its functions. Of course this led to other sects of the belief, which was license, for if all earthly functions were evil, like eating and drinking (and breathing? And don't forget, the bible says "honorable [is] the marriage in all, and the bed undefiled".) So if even walking was 'evil' then what the heck, why not just do anything and everything since it was the body itself that was guilty, lacked character, and hey, this must all be God's fault! And my special insight/knowledge/gnosis is what will set me free!

How crazy is that!? But it's the root and foundation of any "rules" system. And unlike the "freedom in Christ" it's a system of following humans and a human group. We get this from individuals and from organizations. It says 'believe in Jesus and.. ..and I'll tell you the special rule.. come and follow me..' And, or, be a part of my group..

I don't know why it works, but it seems to work very well.

Galatians 5:1 - "..Christ has made us free! ..do not be entangled again by a yoke of bondage".

Any personal conviction I may have.. be it vegetarian, or any rule I may choose to follow, is likely a wonderful thing.. but not mine to impose or even suggest to another. Paul - led of the Spirit to write a large bulk of the New Testament - said, "know only Christ".

Genesis Chapter Two

Why is there a second account of the creation of man?

Man is made of the soil of Eden?

Acts 17:26, The Living Bible - "He created all the people of the world from one man, Adam, and scattered the nations across the face of the earth.."

Genesis 3:20 - "The man called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living."

An inheritance from one man - "Romans 5:12 - "Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men.."

The second account is an insert and addendum to the first.
The first says man was created. The second tells us how.

The first account's setting is the world and universe. The second account is how the creation of man and woman occurred in the section of the world designated as the Garden of Eden.

"Then God said, `Let us make man in our image.. ...So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female created He them." (Genesis 1:26,27) with "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female." (Matthew 19:4) -- Which is what is described in the insert/second account.

By What Authority

Now when He came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people confronted Him as He was teaching, and said, “By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority?” (Matthew 21:23)

This was the morning after Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. (Matthew 21:12)

By what authority..? They had to have been kidding right?! I mean Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment.. great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them.. the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.. When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them.. And the whole crowd sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.. as He went, the crowds were pressing against Him.. (Mark 6:56; Matthew 19:2,21:14; Luke 4:40,6:19,8:42)

Who gave You this authority? Either they were so focused upon this world, their world and day, and their seats of power and staying in Rome's good graces, they couldn't see. Or they knew and plotted to silence Him (by death) anyway.

But don't forget! Because Israel didn't recognize (though some did, many common folk) the coming of Messiah and the fulfilled prophecies, the good news went out to the nations, all according to God's blueprint, plan and will.
Romans 11:15 - For if the casting away of them (from the faith) be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? (Resurrection, which occurs at His return and the arrival of the second advent.)

Postscript

Our heavenly Father - it only possible that He be in complete control of all things - did 'create evil'. Albeit, indirectly. How? By creating rational creatures. (Surely?) I.e. He did not create us as robots. Even the angels cannot be called robots as some "left their first place" - "place" more accurately translated as (left their) appointed position.

This does not mean we have what's commonly called 'free-will' as we all have boundaries and limitations, in many ways, etc, etc.. where and when we live for example.

The reason for pointing all this out, is because of another strange theory, which is the idea that something unexpected occurred and took God by surprise and mankind was 'captured' by an enemy (adversary), the fallen angel called Satan and dragon. Of course this 'being taken by surprise' is impossible.

Why do we suppose that He only created the universe and man and woman, not only after the first (bound to occur) rebel, or wayward thought not only occurred but had ripened and fully matured into outright revolt, sedition and trickery? Didn't He know what would happen?

Of course He did! ...So why do you suppose He did it in just that way?

The Evil That Men Do

Every so often I hear the claim that the evil that mankind does is God acting through them.

The verse Ephesians 1:5 says we are adopted as children of God through Jesus "according to the good pleasure of His will."

Does the Bible say evil is according to His will?

The verse which is used to claim God does evil is Isaiah 45:7 - the traditional King James Version says it like this - I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.
  {In context - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+45&version=NKJV

But the New King James says it like this - I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things. - which is a much better translation of the word used, #H7451 ra' - adversity, calamity.

When we read the Old Testament it's plain to see that our heavenly Father does indeed bring calamity upon the heads of the wayward. (Especially if they are sacrificing live babies in fire to 'the gods'?) I'd also dare to say that there is natural law which He built right into everything which, spiritually, is the seed of fruit is always in its own likeness. Even the judgments of God are results and consequences. He may indeed, speed them along or multiply them upon miscreants and criminals' heads whenever He sees fit!

But this (surely?) is a far cry from saying the evil that evil men do, is actually God doing it and it is according to His will.

Why? Is there evil in the world?? Let's seriously ponder that question and consider every thing the Bible says about it. (Every verse, not in this brief post, but in our heart and mind.)

Luke 17:1 says, - He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!"

Which, to me, seems to be openly implying "responsibility" for actions and choices, upon the one acting and choosing. Thank goodness our choices are so highly limited! 'Offences are sure to come'.. What does that mean? Does it mean we are all robots destined to do what things we do? Isn't that another belief system? An old one, where 'the gods' moved humans like so many chess pieces..?

If it were God acting through Stalin (etc) why should Stalin ever "repent"?

(Seriously, where do people get these ideas?!)

1 Peter 5:8 says, Be alert, be on watch! Your enemy, the Devil, roams around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

Note: the earliest church fathers did not metaphor everything! It's true all of life is a parable and a metaphor! But that doesn't mean it's not literal. To metaphor everything is to put our own take upon everything as "private interpretation".

Our minds are to be renewed by the washing of His Word. Not by my own (so-called) 'lofty' thoughts as truth. But by His Word.

But don't forget.. The original intent, the Hebrew and the Greek. "The Church" is (can be) great for united worship, study, prayer, learning and service, but it is not perfection, nor is it yet "the kingdom"! No church is perfection, but is made up of people. And we should always let the Word itself speak to us, and not only what other persons say about His Word. "Sheol" for instance, "where there is neither thought nor doing" is a far cry from 'eternal burning hell for ever and ever'.

There's a BIG push on (spiritually) to devalue God's Word. But! fellow believers, that is our sWord! It cuts through every untruth. If we let it. "Give us, this day, Lord, our daily Bread.."

Eternal Heaven and Hell Myth Leaves Christians Rootless?

I don't have to write a post because I fit it all in the title. (Lol!)

[Note: aion, aionian, aionias - (eon, age) etc. have all been translated as eternal, everlasting and forever.]

But don't you think so? First off, of course Father is seen as being rather powerless and impotent. His whole program of rescuing from death (or 'eternal' torment!) can only be accomplished within a very limited set time. After that all hope is lost. It is out of God's hands.

We overlook God's pristine character! And His flawless (pristine) attributes!

And so, not only that, but the belief is in an eternal torment place, one will end up in. Or an eternal heaven place where there is no space, time or matter. (I think that's how many see it, that is...?) That may sound appealing to some.. But right now thinking about it, I'm actually feeling a little queasy. The belief, to me, is so up in the air! No roots, can't git yer teeth into it..

Imo, we overlook God's pristine creation! It was "all good"... And it will be again!
Yes! I think there will still be rough bark on the trees.. And an Earth with no seas..

HAGD! (God bless!)

I Was A Rebel Today

Didn't have morning quiet time, for reading, prayer and praise. Went straight to the television and watched an episode and a half of a series about time travel back into history.

I love history, found myself praying for folks in history, and present.. For their challenges, their sufferings.. Felt like the Lord was sweeping me some tiny bit through history. Which is my vision (imagination) of 'Day' of Judgment. What a panorama that will be! And no, I don't think Yahweh Lord God will be quite as impotent as we have been led to think.

I think perhaps the Lord is pouring forth a spirit of rebellion. Rebellion against all things not truth!

Peace! And God bless! hagd!

The Scroll of God

The Bibles we read come from a long line. What once were scrolls written in Hebrew, and words spoken in Aramaic (the gospels) went through the Greek language and were likely Hellenized like most other things. Then there was the Latin. So the Hebrew "sheol" where there was "neither doing nor thought" became first "hades" (Greek) a "place of the dead" and then "inferno" (Roman). Then came Signor Dante with his entertaining tales (in the 1300's). This was after some Norse tribes had brought into the lands their slant on an afterlife, named Helheim, shortened to Hel. And then of course came along (1600's) good King James, whose heart was likely in the right place, it's just by then the culture was saturated with these other (nonbiblical) ideas.
