        WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

                paraphrased study

1 - Now when the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. (A turning point, turning of a page.) 2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and they were given seven trumpets. 3 Another angel came and stood at the altar having a golden censer, and much incense was given to him to offer with the prayers of all the saints upon the gold altar that’s before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose up before God, from the hand of the angel. 5 Then the angel took the censer and he filled it with fire from the altar. He threw it upon the earth, and there were *peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake*. 6 And now the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared theirselves to blow. (*#2; #1 -  6:12-17, the element of the age described as its full effects, first to very last and blended, veiling it and much of the vision.)

GospeL Verses ~ Luke 3:1-6

1 - It was in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, and Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, his brother Philip was tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene. 2 And Annas and Caiaphas were high priests of the nation, when the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness. 3 So he went into all the region around the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sin [hamartia - missing the mark]. 4 As it is written by Isaiah the prophet, he was “the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘make ready the way of the LORD! Make a straight path! 5 For every valley will be filled, every mountain and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall become straight! The rough places will become level. 6 And all flesh will see [horaΓ³ - see, perceive, attend to] the salvation of God.’”

19 - We have all this as an anchor of the soul that is sure and unshakeable and enters into the very inner place [of God’s Presence/Friendship] behind the curtain, 20 where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become, by the things he suffered, high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. [Remember at Jesus’ death, the heavy curtain of the temple was torn in two.]

7:1  For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham when he was returning from the war of the kings and blessed him. 2 And Abraham tithed to him a tenth of all he had. And by translation of his name, he is first of all king of righteousness, and then he is king of Salem, or that is, king of peace. 3 No father or mother is recorded, nor genealogy, seeming to have no beginning of days nor end of life, but as a foreshadow of the Son of God, he is a priest forever. [Jesus, “Prince of Peace” our High Priest Forever.]

GospeL Verses ~ Luke 2:39-52

39 - And when they had performed everything according to the law of the LORD, they returned to their own city, Nazareth of Galilee. 40 And the child grew and became strong and filled with wisdom. And the favor of God was upon him.

41 His parents went every year to Jerusalem, for the days of Passover. [Spring holy week was called both Passover or Unleavened Bread, as were the two days, Passover a preparation day for First Day of Unleavened Bread.] 42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up according the custom. 43 And when the days were ending, when they were returning home, Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem and Mary and Joseph didn’t know it, 44 but supposed he was in the company they were traveling with. They went a full day’s journey, until they looked for him among their kin and acquaintances. 45 When they didn’t find him, they returned to Jerusalem, looking for him. 46 And after three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 And those with him were amazed at his understanding and at his answers. 48 And when Mary and Joseph saw him they were astonished, and Mart said to him, “Son, why have you treated us this way? Behold, your father and I have been anxiously looking for you!” 49 And he said, “How is it you searched for me? Didn’t you know I would likely be in my Father’s house?” 50 But they didn’t really understand what he meant. 51 And he went down with them, returning home to Nazareth, and was obedient to them. But his mother kept all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, being in favor with both God and man.

12 - So stay earnest so you may not be sluggish, but like those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. 13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, he swore by his own name, since there is no greater name by which to swear, 14 saying, “Surely, I will bless you and multiply you.” 15 And so Abraham, having patiently endured, obtained the promise of a son. 16 Men indeed swear by a name greater than theirselves, and in all their issues an oath is considered final. 17 God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose clear to the heirs of the promise, so he swore to it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things - in which it is impossible for God to lie - we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.

WeekLy BooK oF Acts 5 1-16

 a paraphrased study

Lest we cringe over this next, we should consider that one’s being gone (hades-not seen, state of being gone, until resurrection) from this present life and age, is not the same from God’s view as ours.

1 - But a certain man, Ananias and his wife Sapphira, sold a property, 2 and decided to keep back some of the price, and tell the apostles a different price. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why did the adversary fill your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit? 4 It was your property, you could do with it as you wanted, and after you sold it, the price was yours to do with as you pleased. So why did you purpose in your heart to lie, not to us, but to God?” 5 After hearing this, suddenly Ananias fell down dead, and great fear came upon all who heard about it. 6 Some of the younger men wrapped him in burial cloths and carried him out.

7 And about three hours later, his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in, 8 and Peter asked her if such and such was the price for their piece of land, and she answered that it was. 9 Then Peter said, “I can’t believe your husband and you thought to tempt the Spirit of the LORD (of Truth and Life). Those who have buried your husband have just returned and they will carry you out too.” 10 And sure enough she fell down right then and the men did for her as they had for Ananias, and they buried her by him. 11 The Jerusalem believers became very sober minded, and fear came upon all who heard of it. 12 Meanwhile, many healings and wonders were happening through the apostles. And the believers were of one mind and united in purpose, and meeting in the porch of Solomon daily. 13 And no one dared join them except the truly believing, though they were respected and regarded as friendly by the people. 14 Many more, both men and women, were becoming believers. 15 And the people would bring the ailing where they could upon mats and couches, hoping for Peter to come along, for it was said even his shadow would bring healing. 16 People were also coming in from regions and cities outside of Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those harassed by unclean spirits, and they were all healed. (I think it will be like this, only greater, after the “second resurrection” during GWT judgment ‘day’ [aion, Jn.7:37; in Mt.25:46 called - “kolasin aionion” / korrection eonian] / an age oF correction, noT ‘eternal/neverending punishment’ which of course defies aLL logic-root word logos.)

GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 2:13-23

13 - Now when the wise men from the east had departed, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.” [Rev.12:3,4] 14 And so he got up and took the child and his mother by night to Egypt 15 and they remained there until the death of Herod. This fulfilled what the LORD had spoken by the prophet, “Out of Egypt I called my son.”

16 Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked, became furious, and sent soldiers to kill all the male children in Bethlehem and region, who were two years old or under. He decided this according to the time he had heard from the wise men. 17 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, 18 “A voice was heard in Ramah, weeping and loud lamentation, Rachel weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.” 19 But when Herod died, the angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 saying, “Rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for he who sought the child's life is dead.” 21 And so he rose, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there, and being warned in a dream he went instead to the district of Galilee. 23 And they lived in a city called Nazareth, so that what was spoken by the prophets was fulfilled, that he would be called a Nazarene.

7 - The thing is, land that has soaked up the rain that falls upon it produces a crop. A crop useful to those for whose sake it has been planted and they receive it as a blessing from God. 8 But if it bears thorns and thistles, it’s worthless and near to being cursed, and that piece of land will be burned (trials and tribulation). (To improve its state! It is not thrown into a fiery pit to burn forever and ever! Whose fantasy might thAt be?!)

9 Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things, things that go with salvation [sΓ³tΓ©ria - deliverance, salvation, from sozo - to save, rescue] (from death and its cause). 10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name [onoma - name, authority, cause] in your having a heart of serving other believers, and as you still do. 11 And we desire each one of you to keep the same earnestness to the ‘end’, which earnestness of heart, is the full assurance of your hope [elpis - “expectation, from elpō - to anticipate, welcome – properly, expectation of what is sure and certain”].

Be still, and know I am God

πŸ•Š️🀍  I strongly believe in the benefit of times every day of stopping what we’re doing.. And seeking Him, Yahweh.. Sounds like a breath some say. He is Life. (We, humanity went astray, not him. Never him. If in creation there was no possible option to stray? That would be?)

To stop, breathe, clear our mind and quiet our heart. “Be still, and know, I am God” (am life, perfection, all affection ..pure affection, fountain of life, peace and joy. Source of every good thing.)

It’s come to my mind a number of times that there shall be a time.. a moment or so of universal stunned silence in awe of what God has done (created).. a universal moment of silent stillness.. “slain in the Spirit” every last being and creature..

And we can have a prelude of that every day.

Is there unrest? It’s not in him. Here’s a bit of prophecy..? The mystical value of triple 6 .. carbon based humanity, man. With it’s atomic number of 6 because it has 6 protons. It also has 6 neutrons and 6 electrons. What might that riddle suggest? Suggests to me, what with the riddle showing up at the culmination of history, it suggests apocalypse and all before it - that it’s all man. All mankind’s doings. If I dared to, I would swear on a stack of bibles, that God’s “wrath” is cause and effect. Uh oh, a fav rabbit hole, prophecy..πŸ€“ So many intriguing riddles..

 PART 2

So talking about the “wrath of God” how it’s cause and effect.. You know - it’s that he created a cause and effect universe, and it’s why he can claim it all, all judgment, as His. A part of the biG riddle. He is (surely?) first and foremost Life. And second, love. True and honest, and pure, love and affection. ..The more we want others to be happy, the closer to him we are being.

What might this lead us to think about the bowls in the revelation vision? They would be the final results the vision calls God’s wrath, the consequences of whatever it is mankind has been up to, which led to it.. and actually, pretty much since humanity began. Which is the Armageddon battle? Yes? (Straying/imperfection can never work, and it’s an abyss of potential.) For what is written, is that Jesus returns “lest there be no survivors”.

The wrath and some of the trumpets.. what does it all sound like? I also get the impression the bowls, “poured out quickly” are pretty much simultaneous..? What could it possibly be? A fiery lake at fiery armageddon.🀷🏼‍♀️ There’s three mentions of fiery lake/lake of fire.. Do you know “fat man and little boy” are in the vision? Rev.13:13, but it pinpointed an office, not yet(?) an individual. But the biggest part of this thread if the vision, we can’t see without understanding the vision’s told three times - 6:1-2 to 11:19; ch.12 w/mt.23:39; and 13:1 to 19:11, the three tellings meeting back up at the seventh trumpet.

And, without knowing how the seals - being described at the beginning of the vision as their full and entire effects, first to very last - veils what they are, and skews the entire vision - everyone squeezing the vision into “7yrs only”. (Clue, seal 2 is Ps.2.) Considering this about the seals, now what jumps out if we read seal 6 - notorious number 6, man’s # - ch.6:12-17. And then read 7:1,3?

There’s also this! Rev.16:13-16 is the gathering to Armageddon. Mt.13:30, the gathering of the tares (still wild weeds, not yet saved and submitted/enlightened) iS the gathering to Armageddon (12:17).. What? You thought it was God throwing living beings into fire to be burned up forever and ever? (Or for a while.) Whose fantasy might thAt be!? ..Sounds to me like he just might bring it about, but earthly of course (aionion - pertaining to the age). The two other mentions of “lake of fire” is at the adversary’s fiery, finaL defeat, Rev.20:7-10, and then some time later, at “the regeneration” - note: Jesus spoke the phrase “at the regeneration” - the greek word is “palin/again-genesis”. Third mention is at the fiery, universal palingenesis/ReGenesis, Rev.21:1-5, 2Pet.3:12-13.

At the risk of boring you, 2Pet.3:10 and 12-13 - fiery bookends of the Lord’s long second advent?

One more (important) very brief post (Dn.12:11-12 - Lk.19:41,44; 1Cor.3:16).

GospeL Verses ~ Luke 2:21-38

21 - And after eight days, when he was circumcised, they called him Jesus, the name told to them by the angel before he was conceived in the womb. 22 And when the days of cleansing [katharismos - root of katharsis] (and rest?) were completed they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord 23 as it’s written in the Law of the LORD, “Every male who is first in the womb shall be called holy to the Lord” 24 and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the Law of the Lord, “a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.” 25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) that he would not see death before he had seen the LORD’s Christ [christos - anointed one, messiah]. 27 And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when Mary and Joseph brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law, 28 he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said, 29 “LORD, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, just as you said, 30 for my eyes have seen your salvation 31 which you have prepared in the sight of all peoples (upon that last Great Day, the completing of showing and “drawing all”) 32 a light for revelation to the nations and the glory of your people Israel.”

33 And they marveled at what was said about him. 34 And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “This child is for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is fought against 35 - and the sword will pierce through your heart also. The thoughts of many hearts will be made evident.”

36 And there was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years, having lived with her husband for seven years from when she was a maiden, 37 and then as a widow until she was now eighty-four. She didn’t leave the temple, but worshipped and fasted and prayed night and day. 38 And coming up at that very moment, she began to give thanks to God, and was speaking concerning him, to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.

1 - We must all go on from the first lessons that we learned about Christ and grow as believers, so that we understand God’s message more and more. We shouldn’t need to go back to those first lessons over and over. We already know that we must turn away from wrong things that lead to death, 2 about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and aionion/eonian judgment. 3 And we will move on if God permits.

4 But it’s not easy [alphadunatos - from alpha - no, not, and dunatos - strong, mighty, powerful] (translated as “impossible” harshest interpretation and an extreme, imo, of the word. - Not easy) in the case of those who have once been enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, sharing in the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) 5 and have tasted the richness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 but then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying again the Son of God, holding him up to ridicule, to their own hurt.

Gehenna

I think imperfection, by its nature, ends up as war. It begins with competition.. It becomes dog eat dog.. It becomes a fiery gehenna, war. It’s not that all must become incredibly evil (yet given enough time and circumstance). All it takes is some to be willing to do harm in order to be a ‘king of the hill’ - this is the spirit of babylon that is responsible for all slain upon earth.. Yet the kingdom we insist on ruling can be very small..

God is Life and “is perfect”, Mt.5:48. Imperfect (i.e. straying) can never work. Life as we presently know it (imperfection) is a slow motion gehenna. From which we shall emerge clear as crystal.

GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 2:1-12

1 - Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, wise men from the east arrived at Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and we have come to worship him.” 3 Now when Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him (or else?) 4 and assembling the chief priests and scribes of Judea, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. 5 And they told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so is it written by the prophet, 6 ‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah. For from you shall come the one who will shepherd my people Israel.’”

7 Then Herod summoned the wise men in secret, and asked them what time the star had first appeared. 8 Then he said to them, “Go and look diligently for the child, and when you’ve found him, send me word, so I too may come and worship him.” 9 After listening to the him, the wise men went on their way. And behold, the star they had seen at its rising, went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10 And when they saw the star, they rejoiced greatly, with exceeding joy. 11 And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 But being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way.

10 - About Jesus, being designated by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek - 11 we have much to say, which is hard to explain, as the hearing has become dull. 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need to be taught again the basic principles of the message of God, needing milk, not solid food.13 For everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness (and rightness) since he is an infant. 14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained - by constant practice - to distinguish between good from evil. GospeL Verses ~ Luke 2:8-20

8 - Not too far away there were shepherds in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And an angel of the LORD appeared to them, and the glory of the LORD shone around them, and they were filled with fear and wonder. 10 The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Behold, I bring you good news. News of great joy! Which is for all people! 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior - Christ the Lord. 12 And this is what tonlook for - you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger [a feeding trough].” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest! And on earth peace with man (God’s) good pleasure!”

15 When the angels were gone, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened! Which the LORD has made known to us.” 16 And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. 17 And then they told what the angel had said to them concerning the child. 18 And all who heard it wondered. 19 But Mary pondered these things and stored them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned to the field, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, and how it had been just as they had been told.

5 - So also Christ (like Aaron and the Levites)  didn’t make himself a high priest, but was appointed by he who had said to him, “You are my Son, today have I begotten you”. 6 As he said also at another time, “You are a priest - forever - after the order of Melchizedek.” 7 And in the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with strong cries and tears, to he who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence and honor/respect. 8 And although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. 9 And being proved perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him.

GospeL Verses ~ Luke 2:1-7

1 - In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world (under Rome) should be registered. 2 This was the first enrollment by Cyrenius (later) governor of Syria, 3 So all went to be registered, each to his home town. 4 Joseph too, went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. 6 And while they were there, her time came. 7 And she gave birth to a firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them at the inn.

67 - And the baby’s father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) and prophesied, saying, 68 “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel! He has visited and redeemed his people! 69 He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David, 70 as he spoke by his holy prophets of old, 71 that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us. (The god of this world’s hatred.) 72 to show the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember his holy covenant 73 - the oath - that he swore to Abraham - to grant us 74 that we, delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear, 75 in holiness and righteousness before him all our days. 76 And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way. 77 And to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the pardoning of their sins, 78 because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high! 79 To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

12 - The word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 No creature is hidden, but all is laid bare to the eyes of he to whom we must give an answer. (HE’s the one we answer to.) 14 And so, since we have such a great high priest who has passed into the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confidence (and trust). 15 For we don’t have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted, yet has never sinned [greek hamartia - missed the mark]. (It’s mpossible for Father or Son to fail/miss the mark!) 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may find and receive the mercy and grace we need.

      WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

                paraphrased study

In chapter six we saw six of seven seals broken from off the scroll of the vision. And as each seal was broken, we saw more of the vision as the scroll was unrolled. Now here is a serious topic, which few, I think, are aware of. Though I did read an excellent article a few years back, which I’ll mention a little more in a minute. The seals, I think are veiled by a truly simple technique! Now think of the horses - the notorious “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse”, their rides continue throughout the latter age, the years of our Lord a.d./CE-is that a changing of times? A.D. to C.E.? I’m not saying it hasn’t happened before. And I would imagine the rides of the horses become gallops at the last hours?

It’s been commonly thought the seals occur during the last seven years of man’s rule (and of imperfection’s rule). Perhaps the galloping occurs then.. well in the last 3.5 years somewhat(?) slowly escalating that is. (Considering as always, Dn.12:11-12 with Lk.19:41,44 and 1Cor.3:16. Now I ask you, in all seriousness, isn’t the answer to that math problem 45? With perhaps the last “ten days” - Rev.2:10 - escalating into the most critical?) The “seven years” - two 3.5 periods - is a treaty. And a league. Or so says the original Hebrew word. A famous, much lauded treaty (Dn.12:11). But alas it will only last seven years, and be broken in the middle. But we were talking about the seals. How they are veiled. Have you noticed it? They are described, at the beginning of the vision, as their full and entire effects - first to very last - from the breaking open to the very last of its gallop. This veils the seals, skews the whole vision, and no wonder everyone thinks they’re crowded into seven years.. The 6th one is something really big. Bigger than the others.

Hang onto our seats? Literally. The article I mentioned, explained thermonuclear activity in the revelation vision. Rumbling.. thundering.. thermonuclear lightning,.. sky rolls.. hail. The higher and faster moisture rises, the greater the hail. The arc is seen split in heaven.. Stars ‘fall’ like figs blown by a great wind..

I think it is the mysterious “seven thunders”, and the so called wrath of God (cause and effect) and I think it concludes, at and as, Is.24:20 & Zech.14:4.

So in last weeks study we just saw that seal six had been opened.. men hid in caves (i.e. built bomb shelters.. There were drills, children told to hide under their desks.😳)

This Weeks Verses, Rev. 7:1 - After this I [John] saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, they were holding back the four winds of earth, that the wind would not blow on earth or sea or against any tree. 2 Then, I saw another angel having ascended from the rising of the sun, he had the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the earth and sea, 3 saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or trees until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” (Mind, thoughts, psyche, clarity.) 4 And I heard the count and number of those to seal, 144,000 from every tribe of the sons of Israel, 5 - 8 — 12,000 from each tribe - of Judah, Reuben, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Manasseh, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin. 9 And after this I looked and behold! A great crowd which no one was able to number from every nation, and all tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb and they were clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out as one, in a roaring voice saying, “Salvation/safety/well-being belongs to our God who sits on the throne! And to the Lamb!” 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings and they fell before the throne and worshiped. 12 saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory! Wisdom, and thanksgiving! Honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen!”

13 Then one of the elders said to me, “Who are these, having been clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?” 14 I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said, [the following is word for word translation) “These are the coming/going out of the tribulation the great and washed/to wash (I don’t know how to read the tenses) the robes (of) them and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 “Therefore they are before the very throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple. And - he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. (They are mentioned again, during the fifth trumpet.) 16 They will not hunger nor thirst anymore. The sun will not strike them, nor shall fall upon them the sun nor any scorching heat. 17 For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will shepherd them, and will lead them to springs of living water.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

GospeL Verses ~ Luke 1:57-66

57 - Elizabeth’s time came and she birthed a son. 58 Her neighbors and relatives heard the good news and they rejoiced with her and praised God for his blessing. 59 And “on the eighth day” they came to circumcise the child, and would have called him Zechariah after his father, 60 but his mother said, “No, he shall be called John.” 61 And they said, “But none of your relatives is called by this name.” 62 And they made signs to his father, inquiring what he wanted. 63 And he asked for a writing tablet and wrote, “His name is John.” And they all wondered. 64 And immediately Zechariah was able to speak. And he praised God. 65 And so wonderment came upon all the neighbors and they talked of these things through all the hill country of Judea. 66 And all who heard, laid it to heart, saying, “What then shall this child be?” For they could see the hand of the Lord was with him.

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                ~ Hebrews 4:8-11 ~

8 - For if Joshua had given them rest (when they entered the promised land, taking it away from human child sacrificers) God would not have spoken of another day later on. (We have to fight our demons as well, in order to enter the promised land of resting in God. Personal demons and world demons.) 9 So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, 10 for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from works as God did from his. 11 Let us therefore strive to enter that rest. (Assurance, and let no one come along and pollute our temple with unrest.) So that no one may fall away by the any sort of disobedience.

The “eighth day” - I have become very convinced that the “8th day” is a very important prophecy! Especially after I did a study on the ancient Hebrew Spring holy days, and how they had prophesied the Lord’s brief short advent. I found out he had fulfilled Spring holy week to a T. It’s not easy to see just how perfectly what with days beginning at sunset rather than midnight, there being three Sabbaths of the week, so three “preparation days” - and - the entire week, and both Passover, and First Day of Unleavened Bread were called interchangeably.

Also both Roman and Hebrew time was used — He died on Passover (a holy day, and prep day). Was in the grave as 1st Day of UB began, and rose exactly three evenings later as the weekly Sabbath had ended, upon the third holy day of the week, Firstfruits (you waved a sheaf of wheat as thanksgiving for the entire harvest). And then God’s Gift of his Spirit/Presence to believers was poured out on Day of Pentecost (which day commemorated the giving of the societal preserving ten commandments on Mt.Sinai).

It seems to me that any logical thinking person might then wonder ‘what about the ancient Fall holy days? And the Lord’s second advent? It looks like an outline to me:

I - Trumpets (of rev & his arrival)

      10days/1000yrs (7th ‘day’) to

II - Day oF Atonement (GWT ‘day’)

        5days/500yrs (2nd half of 8th ‘day)

III - TABERNACLES !

       “God will now tabernacle with

        mankind” — The “regeneration”

        greek palin/again-genesis, whereby

“death dies” — “behold I make all

        (greek pas) new” Rev.21:1-5 (Lev.23)

Jesus said he “will draw all” (Jn.12:32) and said - “All those in the tombs/graves will hear God’s voice and will come forth” (from the graves/tombs) “some into the resurrection of life (into THE millennium, to serve called reigning.. for to do His works is surely to reign.. crown of Life, not metal). And some into the resurrection of judgment” ‘day’ (Jn.5:28-29; Jn.7:37; Lev.23:36) which elsewhere He calls agelasting correction [“kolasin aionion” oR “korrection eonian” Mt.25:46, the completing of drawing all! And surely(?) it’s a same process of refinement/correction for all. The crucible being life as we presently know it - this unavoidable, all important contrast - until vivification either at 1Cor.15:52,53 or at Rev.21:5, 1Cor.15:24-28. We shall have character that is clear as crystal. Humanity and creation sealed.

18 - Now the birth of Jesus Christ happened this way. When Mary was betrothed/pledged to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. 19 And Joseph, being a just man and not willing to shame her, thought to release her quietly. 20 But as he was thinking on these things, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, “Joseph, son of David” he said, “do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will birth a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” 22 All this took place fulfilling what the LORD had spoken by the prophet, 23 “Behold, a virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” which means, God with us. 24 When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord instructed him, and took Mary as his wife, 25 but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

WeekLy BooK oF Acts 4 23-37

  a paraphrased study

23 - When Peter and John were released, they went back to the other believers and told them what the leaders - the chief priests and elders - had said. 24 And when they heard it, as one they lifted up their voices and prayed, “Sovereign Lord and Father, who made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them. 25 and who spoke long ago by your Holy Spirit through our ancestor, your servant David, saying — ‘Why do the nations rage? [Ps.2](Seal 2) And the peoples plot in vain? [“Devise vain things.”] 26 The kings of earth and the rulers gather together against the LORD, and against his Anointed. 27 And truly Father, in this very city they were gathered together, Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, against your appointed holy servant Jesus, 28 to do what you had predestined beforehand to take place! 29 And now LORD, look upon their threats and grant that we, your servants speak your message with all boldness. 30 And let your hand reach forth to heal, with signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God). And they continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

32 The full number of those who now believed were of one heart and mind, and no one considered the things they had as their own, but were sharing all things. 33 With much power the apostles were giving their (eyewitness) testimony of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. 34 And no one among them was in need, for many that were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what they sold 35 and gave it to the apostles to distribute as there was need. 36 As also did Joseph, a native of Cyprus and a Levite, who was also called Barnabas, which means a son of encouragement. 37 He sold a field that belonged to him, and brought the money to the apostles.

The Old Testament

πŸƒπŸ“œπŸ•Š️ — Why was God so legalistic? It was all about law. The calendar.. the offerings.. and of course the ten commonsense society preserving laws. But always for millennia, the law. Strict unbreakable law. Maybe one reason is to deeply impress upon all that this whole thing - life as we presently know it, imperfect - is all a matter of natural, unavoidable, unbreakable natural law.

GospeL Verses ~ Luke 1:39-45

Soon after her visit from Gabriel, 39 - Mary rose up in haste and went into the hill country, of a town of Judah, 40 to the home of Zechariah and she greeted Elizabeth. 41 And when Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby in her womb leaped. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) 42 and she exclaimed, “Blessed are you among women! And blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 Why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45 And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.”

                ~ Hebrews 3:12-19 ~

12 - Take care, each one of you - lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart - which will lead you to fall away from the living God. 13 But encourage and urge one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none may be hardened, and fall by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we share in Christ, if indeed we stay on course, holding firm our first confidence to the end. 15 As it is said, “Today, if you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” 16 For who were those who heard and yet rebelled? Wasn’t it those who left Egypt led by Moses? 17 And with whom was he provoked for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, who died in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did he swear they would not enter his rest, if not to those who did not follow/obey? 19 So we see - they were unable - to enter because of unbelief. (But there is no ‘forever’ in the verse. That has become habitually assumed.)

GospeL Verses ~ Luke 1:26-38

26 - In the sixth month of that (Hebrew) year, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to Nazareth, a city of Galilee, 27 to a virgin (Rev.12:1) betrothed to a man of the house of David, named Joseph. And the maiden’s name was Mary. 28 The angel came to her and said, “Greetings, oh favored one, the Lord is with you!” 29 But she was troubled at the greeting, and tried to discern what sort of greeting it might be. 30 And the angel said to her, “Don’t be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And listen, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and called Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David. 33 He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and his kingdom will never end.”

34 And Mary said to the angel, “Since I’m a virgin, how will this be?” 35 The angel said, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. 36 Your relative Elizabeth, has in her old age also conceived a son. This is the sixth month with she who was called barren. 37 For nothing is impossible with God.” 38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord. Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed.

The Prophets - Malachi

          All of Malachi

          Chapters 1-4

  Paraphrased, Condensed

 and Snipped.. Last prophet

 πŸ—️ [Information] (Thoughts)

1 - The word/message of the Lord to Israel by Malachi — 2 I have loved you, says the Lord. But you ask, “How have you loved us?” Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? declares the LORD. Yet I have loved Jacob, 3 but Esau not so much. His hill country is laid waste and his heritage is left to jackals of the desert. 4 If Edom (descended from Esau) says, “We are shattered but we will rebuild the ruins,” the LORD says, “Build they may, but torn down, broken, called ‘the wicked territory,’ and ‘the people with whom the Lord is indignant forever.’” 5 Your own eyes shall see it, and you will say, “Great is the Lord beyond the border of Israel!”

6 A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a father, where is my honor? And if I am a master, where is my reverence? says the Lord of hosts to you, O priests (leaders, rulers) who despise my name. 7-9 Your offerings and sacrifices are not right.. Yet you think to seek my favor.. 10 Oh that there were one among you who would shut the doors about you, that you might not kindle fire on my altar in vain! You are not pleasing, says the Lord of hosts, I will not accept an offering from your hand. 11 For from the rising of the sun to its setting, my name should be great among the nations, and in every place incense offered to my name, a pure offering! (With love and joy!) 12 But my name/reputation is defamed when spoilage is the fruit of your table. 13 What a weariness you say this is, scoffing you bring what has been taken by force or is lame or sick..

Chapter 2

And now, O priests this command is for you. 2 If you will not listen, if you will not take it to heart ..will not your blessings be cursed? The refuse of your solemn feasts is on your faces...4 My covenant with Levi (public servants) should continue.. It was one of life and peace, which I gave to him. A noble covenant.. He stood in awe of my name. 6 No wrong was found on his lips, but true instruction. He walked with me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many from wickedness and corruption. 7 For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge secure, and the people be able to seek instruction from his words, for he is the messenger of the LORD. 8 But you have turned aside from the way. You have caused many to stumble by your instruction. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi.. 9 and so ..despised and abased are you before all people, inasmuch as you do not keep my ways but show partiality. 10 Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why then are we faithless to one another, profaning the covenant of our fathers? 11 ..abomination has been committed.. The sanctuary of the Lord profaned.. foreign ‘gods’.. 12 May the Lord cut off from the tents any doing this, who brings an offering to the Lord of hosts!

13 And this second thing you do. ..For what was the one God seeking? Godly offspring. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and let none of you be faithless to the wife of your youth. 16 The man who does not love his wife but puts her away, says the Lord, the God of Israel, his way is violence. 17 You have wearied the Lord with your complaints. But you say, “How have we wearied him?” By saying, “Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delights in them.” Or by asking, “Where iS the God of justice?”

Chapter 3

1 - Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way.. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple. The messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts. 2 But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap. 3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings of righteousness to the Lord. 4 Then the offerings will be pleasing to the Lord as in days of old and former years.

5 Then I will swiftly draw near for judgment against the sorcerers, against the adulterers (with other ‘gods’). Against those who swear falsely against others, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, who oppress the widow or the fatherless, against those who abuse the sojourner, and doing so do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.

6 “But I the Lord do not change, therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed. 7 From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the LORD. 9 You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. 10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. [Food for the Levites, who are having to work in the fields rather than in public and civic service as arranged.] ... And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more lack. 11 I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts. 12 Then all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the LORD.

13 Your words have been hard against me, says the Lord. But you say, “How have we spoken against you?” 14 You have said, “It is vain to serve God. What is the profit of our keeping his charge or of walking as in mourning before the Lord of hosts? 15 And now we call the arrogant blessed. Evildoers not only prosper but they put God to the test and they escape.”

16 Then those who honored the LORD spoke with one another. The Lord paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who honor the Lord and esteem his name. 17 “They shall be mine” says the LORD of hosts, “in the day when I make up my jewels, and I will spare them as a man spares his son.18 Then once more you shall discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.”

Chapter 4

For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the arrogant [zed - insolent, presumptuous] and all that are doing [asah - accomplish, make, do] evil will be stubble. The day that is coming will set them ablaze, says the Yahweh of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. 2 But for you who reverence my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in his wings, and you shall go out leaping like calves released from the stall. 3 You shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under your feet, on the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts. (I think he claims it - consequences, called wrath - because it is He after all, who created a cause and effect universe.) 4 “Remember the law of my servant Moses, the statutes and rules that I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel. 5 And behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. 6 And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse. (“Better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone than to harm one of these little ones” Lk.17:2.)

June-16 From Lk-1 Heb-3

a paraphrased scripture study

GospeL Verses ~ Luke 1:1-25 ~

[Luke was a Greek doctor who met Paul during his travels and then worked and traveled some with Paul.]

1 - Forasmuch as many have undertaken to gather together and write down the things that occurred, 2 which we heard from those who witnessed it all and heard the message, 3 it seemed good to me also, having researched and studied it all closely for some time now, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus. 4 And in this way, you may have certainty and confidence concerning the things that you have been taught. (Way more valuable than gold.)

5 In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah, of the division of Abijah [of the called to be priests, tribe of Aaron]. He had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord. (The baptist born into those righteous and peaceful conditions, as was Jesus born into such conditions, shown by the actions and reactions of Joseph and of Mary. So many folks are confused over Israel. Armageddon/the world is against Israel of course considering who the “god of this world is” or who is acting as though he is god, HE created hell. Not physically, but in the psyche of mankind. But the gates of hell can never overcome “Christ Crucified” - that God and his Son who is God’s blueprint and seal - love and value us that much. Imperfect/strayed may earn death, but it has been “paid in full”. And we can enter the holy of holiest Presence of God — who is Life and Love. Warm, embracing love, for all healing and growth.)

7 But Zechariah and Elizabeth had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in years. 8 Zechariah was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty, 9 and according to the custom of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn the incense. 10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense/prayer. 11 And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12 And when Zechariah saw him, he was, of course, afraid. 13 But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah. Your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 You will have joy and gladness. Many will rejoice at his birth! 15 For he will do a great work before the Lord. He mustn’t drink wine or strong drink. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. 16 And He will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God, 17 working before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just. To make ready for the Lord a people prepared.”

18 And Zechariah said to the angel, “How can I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife too is advanced in years.” 19 The angel answered, “I’m Gabriel, I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. 20 And behold, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day that these things take place (lest he speak more doubt?) because you didn’t believe my words, which will be fulfilled in the allotted time.”

21 And the people were outside waiting for Zechariah, and wondering at his delay. 22 And when he came out, he was unable to speak, and they realized he had seen a vision while he was in the temple. He made signs to them but remained mute. 23 And when his time of service was ended, he went back home.

24 Soon after, his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she kept herself in solitude, saying, 25 “Thus the Lord has done for me in the days when he looked upon me, to vindicate me among the people.” (To take away the cultural dishonor of being barren.)

                ~ Hebrews 3:1-6 ~

1 - Therefore, holy brothers (adelphoi - of the same womb, so includes sisters) you who share the heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of what we proclaim. 2 He was faithful to He who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful. 3 But Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as the builder of a house has more honor than the house he builds. 4 For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. 5 Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, testifying to the things that were spoken later. 6 But Christ is faithful over God's house as a Son. And we are his house, if indeed we remain convinced, holding firmly our hope and expectation to the end.

GospeL Verses ~ Lk.24:49-53, Mk.16:19,20

49 - “And listen” Jesus said to the eleven, “I will be sending the promise of my Father to you. So stay in the city until you are clothed with (his) power from on high.” 50 And they followed him out as far as Bethany, and then lifting up his hands he blessed them. 51 And while he blessed them, he parted from them and was lifted up into heaven. 52 And having worshiped him (and marveling) they returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53 and were continually in the temple praising God.

Mark 16:19 - So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken further to them, was taken up into heaven and he sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord was with them, the miracles and wonders, confirming God’s message.

Review - Through his death he destroyed the one holding the power of death, that accuser, the devil. (Destroyed the prosecutor, case dismissed).

15 And he delivered all those in bondage to (imperfection and) the fear of death. 16 For surely it is not angels he is helping, but he helps the seed/offspring of Abraham [“which seed is Jesus” Gal.3:16; “and if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and an heir to the promise”].

17 That is why he had to be made like his brothers [adelphois - from the same womb ones] in every respect, so that he will be a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, making atonement/pardon for the sins [hamartia - missing the marks, great and small] of the people. (God is, surely? Life, as what else could or would be? And he “is perfect” mt.5:48, so the result of imperfect is? Death. And it has been PAID in FuLL. A gift, and part of the gift is the faith/knowing to receive and take it and follow the instructions that come with it, for progressive change into - his - likeness. Not an angry God appeased, but our own delicate and (very) tricky psyche that may try to trick us up almost every step of the way - it is what the adversary uses to destabilize and slow or stall our course.) 18 And because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. (Hesitant, stalled?)

      WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

                paraphrased study

9 - And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those having been slain because of the word of God and because of the testimony they had upheld. 10 And they were crying in a voice loud (logic - like the blood of Abel, not souls/psyches’ languishing under the altar for centuries) saying, “Until when oh LORD, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge [ekdikeΓ³ - vindicate, give justice to] our blood which was shed, from those dwelling upon the earth?” 11 Then each one was given a white robe and told to rest a while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers [adelphoi - from alpha, and delphus - womb (so siblings)] should be complete, of those to be killed as they had been. (Aka - Martyrdom continues throughout the age.)

12 When he opened the sixth seal - (this seal, especially is obscured - God hiding things in pLain sight - by describing the seal at the beginning of the vision, as a blend of its full and entire effects, from first occurrence to very last) I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake. (And at the first event of it, a psyche earthquake). The sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood (red, reflecting red?). 13 And the stars of the sky fell to earth - like figs blown in a strong wind (how it appears upon earth when the earth is shaking, Is.24:20). 14 The sky parted like a scroll being rolled up. And every mountain, and every island, from its place was moved. 15 Then the kings of earth, the great ones, the generals and the rich and powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in caves (bunkers, and bomb shelters) and among the rocks of the mountains, 16 and they say to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one seated on the throne, and from the wrath [orgΔ“ - from the verb oragō - to teem, swell, and thus implies not a sudden outburst, but rather a controlled, passionate feeling, a settled indignation] of the Lamb, 17 for the great day of their wrath has come (imo, consequences/results, claimed by God because, after all(!) it was he who created a cause and effect universe). And who can stand?” (Revelation, aka, the culmination, is the two ripe fruits - the wheat, and the tares - the submitted and the not yet submitted, Rev.16:13-16 w/ Mt.13:30.)

GospeL Verses ~ John 21:16-25

16 - Jesus said to Peter a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love [agapaΓ³ - have affection for, love] me?” Peter answered, “Yes, Lord, you know I love [phileΓ³ - from philos - affectionate, cherished friendship; cherish, love] you.” Jesus said, “Tend my sheep.” 17 Then he said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him a third time, “Do you love me?” so he said, “Lord, you know everything! You know that I love you!” And Jesus said to him a third time, “Feed my sheep”.

18 And after a moment, “Truly I tell you, Simon, when you were young you used to dress yourself and go wherever you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and take you where you don’t want to go.” 19 This he said to show by what kind of death Peter would suffer, but which would end up glorifying God. And after saying this he said, “But follow me.”

20 Peter saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, the one who Peter had leaned back against during the supper and said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?” 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?” 22 Jesus said, “Don’t concern yourself about that.. Even if I were to have him remain until I come, what is that to you? Just follow me.” 23 So the saying spread abroad among the brothers that this disciple wouldn’t die, but Jesus didn’t say that. (A little bit odd conversation this last part(?) Kind of portrays the idea? Of one follower “taken” where he doesn’t want to go, another alive and remains..?)

24 This is the disciple who is bearing witness about all this, and who has written about it, and we know that his testimony is true! (John knows his own testimony is true.) 25 Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose the world itself couldn’t contain the books that would be written. (The ‘end’ of John’s good news account.)

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                ~ Hebrews 2:9-11 ~

9 - But we see Jesus (the only begotten/straight out from God one) who for a short while was made a little lower than the angels. We see him crowned with glory and honor, because of the death he suffered. So that by the grace of God he would taste death for all. 10 For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all exist, in bringing many sons [huios - “a son, descendant, equally refers to female believers (Gal 3:28)”] to glory, that He should make the founder [archΓ©gos - founder, pioneer, from arxe - first and ago - to lead; leader] of their salvation perfect through suffering. 11 So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy, are of the same One. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers [adelphos - from alpha and delphus - womb].

WeekLy BooK oF Acts 4 1-22

  a paraphrased study

(Review, a man at the temple was healed.) 1 - And as Peter and John were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came out, 2 greatly annoyed because they were teaching the people, proclaiming in Jesus’ name the resurrection from the dead. 3 So they arrested them and put them under custody until the next day, for by then, it was already evening. 4 But many of those who had heard the message believed, and the number of believers came to about five thousand.

5 On the next day the rulers and elders and scribes (the leaders) gathered together in Jerusalem, 6 with Annas the high priest and Caiaphas and John and Alexander, and all who were of the high-priestly family. 7 And when they had brought them to the court, they said, “By what power, or by what name, did you do this?” 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) said to them, “Leaders and rulers of the people, and elders, 9 if we are being examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man (who had been “crippled from birth”) concerning by what means this man has been healed, 10 let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth - whom you crucified, and God raised from the dead - by him, this man is standing and upright before you. 11 This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, the stone which has become the cornerstone [quoting Ps.118:22]. 12 And - there is salvation in no one else. For there is no other name under heaven, named among men, by which we must be saved.” [From death, opposite of Life/God who “is perfect”. And from death’s cause, imperfection, an abyss of potential.]

13 Now when the leaders/rulers saw the boldness of Peter and John, and knew that they were uneducated and common, they were astonished. They also knew they had been with Jesus. 14 But seeing the man who was healed standing beside them, they could say nothing. 15 When they had ordered them outside the council, they conferred with one another, 16 saying, “What shall we do with these men? For a notable sign, we cannot deny, has been performed through them, and it is evident to everyone in Jerusalem. 17 But in order that it may spread no further among the people, we will warn them to speak no more in this name!” 18 So they called them and charged them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered, “Whether it’s right in the sight of God to hear you rather than God, you must judge, 20 but we cannot help but speak of what we have seen and heard.”

21 And when they threatened them further, they let them go, finding no way to hold them because of the people, as all were praising God for what had happened. 22 For the man on whom this sign of healing had been performed was more than forty years old.
