06/30 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

4 - Think of how great this man was to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the spoils! [From Abraham’s “battle against the kings” with a small band of about 300 men to rescue his nephew Lot from being in captivity to four Mesopotamian kings.] 5 And those descendants of Levi [from whose line were the civil servants, at first the tabernacle, and later the temple, literal center of the twelve tribe nation] have a commandment in the law to gather tithes from the people, that is, from their brothers, though they too are descended from Abraham.

     6 But this Melchizedek, received tithes from Abraham. And he blessed Abraham who had the promises from God. 7 It’s beyond dispute that the inferior in office is blessed by the superior. 8 In the one case tithes are received by mortal men, but in the other case, by one of whom it is fabled/implied/made to look as though he lives. [Abraham met him coming back from the rescue of Lot, he was “Priest of Salem” (which means peace) and the way they met is like Melchizedek had no beginning or end.. like we see his path, Abraham crossed, and it just goes on without visible beginning or end.. And therefor (Paul or Apollo) is saying Melchizedek is a type of Christ, the Messiah.] 9 One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes to Melchizedek through Abraham, 10 when they met.

Revelation 5 7-14

 BooK of Revelation

                a paraphrased study

7 - And the lamb as slain went and took the scroll from the right hand of he who was seated on the throne. 8 And just then, when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and you ransomed [agorazΓ³ - bought, purchased, redeemed] to God by your blood out of every tribe, language, people and nation, 10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign upon the earth.” 11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth, wisdom and might, honor and glory and blessing!” 13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” 14 And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

    {I was thinking Jesus went not long after ascension to Revelation, chapter five. But every creature from everywhere praising sounds like an after GWT Judgment ‘Day’ condition.. Unless it’s deep down psychologically in every heart.. We do all know don’t we? No true atheists, not really. We play games with ourselves.. Maybe that’s one reason why Father God loves a good riddle.. hiding things in plain sight. And is why scoffers can so sometimes bitterly scoff, because deep down knowing he is Father, and is waiting patiently and lovingly for prodigal son or daughter. Prodigal is differing with God in any way, thought, word or deed.. because he is Life and he “is perfect” Mt.5:48.

     So maybe it’s not so soon after ascension.. but is the opening of the scroll (we know that because it says so).. we could say is right now as we study, should we be so blessed as to understand, yes? Rev.20 is like describing the crests of waves, and not much of the in between. I’m reminded of that because the elders falling before the throne seems like waves. As does the singing and all speaking together as one crescendoing voice.

     The scroll is the vision. It begins with the breaking open of the seals from off the scroll.. and out come elements of the years of our Lord, CE. All, like the horsemen, riding throughout the age, to the ‘end’ of the vision (Greek word tel, telos, which means end-aim) which end of the vision is to all everywhere understanding..(In Rev.22, there is narrative that is spoken outside of the vision, and like the rich man and Lazarus parable, portrays initial inner conditions of some during GWT Judgment ‘Day’.) “Every tongue will swear allegiance [shaba - take an oath, “take a seven”, swear allegiance] to me”  - That’s an oath God made, recorded in Isaiah 45:23. Took an oath to us. And we shall all take a heartfelt oath of allegiance to Him.. And why the heck wouldn’t we?!!! I think there will be a universal moment of awed silence.. as to what God has done.. And then a rising chorus of resounding universal praise.}

(Mark was not a disciple, he may have seen and heard Jesus at a young age? He became helper and secretary to Paul and others, and traveled some with Paul and company. His gospel account is thought to be the earliest and some of it by interview.) 1 - The beginning of the gospel [euaggelion - a good message, good news] of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. {The entire message/written logos aNd logos personified.} 2 As it’s written in Isaiah the prophet, “Behold, I send my messenger before you, who will prepare your way. 3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way of the LORD, make his paths straight,’” 4 John appeared, baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 5 And all the country of Judea and all Jerusalem were going out to him and were being baptized by him in the river Jordan, and confessing their sins [hamartia - missing the mark]. {Being baptized agrees to/confesses we are flawed and have missed the mark of perfection. It’s not that God has so terribly high and impossible a standard - which we cannot currently fulfill, but God iS life, and, he “is Perfect” Mt.5:48, so imperfect is entropy which “does not quit” aka fading away, which matures and results in gone, not seen, death. But no option to stray in Eden and creation would have to be only an Ant Farm, so “God is savior of all” - 1Tim.4:10.}

     6 Now John was clothed with camel's hair and wore a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey. 7 And he preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I! The strap of whose sandals I’m not worthy to bend down and untie. 8 I have baptized you with water. But he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God}.

A hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, 20 where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the priestly order of Melchizedek. 7 For Melchizedek, king of Salem [of peace] priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter of (battle of defense from three) kings and blessed him, 2 and to him Abraham tithed a tenth. He is first, by translation of his name, king of righteousness, and then he is also king of Salem, that is, king of peace. 3 He is {seems} without father or mother or genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God, continues as a priest forever.

12 - In this way not to be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. 13 When God made a promise to Abraham, there’s no one greater by whom to swear, so he swore by his own self and his own name, 14 saying, “Surely - I will bless you, and multiply you.” 15 And so Abraham, having patiently waited, obtained the promise. 16 For people swear by something greater than theirself, and in all their disputes an oath is final. 17 So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the - unchangeable character - of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath. 18 And so by these two unchangeable things, it’s impossible for God to lie, and having fled to him for refuge, we have strong encouragement, to hold fast to the hope set before us. {He also made the oath “I have sworn by my own name, I have spoken the truth, and I will never go back on my word. Every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance [shaba - take an oath, “take a seven”, swear allegiance] to me” Isaiah 45:23.] {Only rational as he is Life, and source of all good things.}

     41 His parents, Mary and Joseph went to Jerusalem every year for the Feast of Passover. 42 And in his twelfth year, they went up according to their habit. 43 But when the feast was ended, and they were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem and they didn’t know it. 44 But supposing him to be in the group they went a day's journey, and then they began to look for him among their relatives and friends, 45 and when they didn’t find him, they returned to Jerusalem, searching for him.

     46 After three days they found him in the temple. Be was sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48 And when Joseph and Mary saw him, they were astonished. And his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us so? Behold, your father and I have been searching for you in great distress.” 49 And he said, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know I must be in my Father's house?” 50 They didn’t really understand what he was saying. 51 And he went with them, to his hometown of Nazareth, and was obedient to them. And Mary treasured up all these things in her heart. 52 And the boy Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with both God and man.

7 - The thing is, land that has drank in the rain that falls upon it, and produces a crop useful to those for whom it’s cultivated, receives the blessing from God. 8 But if it bears thorns and thistles, it’s not useful for cultivation and is cursed, and its ‘end’ is to be burned. {See!? This is not an eternal fire! It - never - is. Worse case scenario would be a temporary ‘burning’ - but! Surely that can only be spiritual! Except in the case of fiery wars, fiery judgments. Cause and effect as judgment. Which is in line with the three mentions of lake of fire being at huge fiery events.. First one at armageddon battle. Which surely is not all that surprising. And this imperfection is entropy, which is surely a crucible!? ..We gather weeds to a bonfire. And we burn off a field and it grows back greener.}

     9 Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things, things that belong to the saving way! 10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you’ve shown for his name, in serving his people {feeding his sheep; wholesome nourishment; passing on the message} as you still do. 11 And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance [plΓ©rophoria - full assurance, complete certainty, full conviction] of hope [elpis - expectation!] {certainty of expectation} until the ‘end’ [telos - the end aim]. (From commentary — like the old pirate’s tel-escope.. things progress - prophecy is fulfilled - in scopes, until reaching full scope, and end-aim.) {The advents? ‘Smaller’ pond ripple, to full pond ripple.}

13 - Now when the wise men from the east had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you, for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.” {Rev.12:4, the chapter being the middle telling of three tellings of the revelation vision, but verse 17 needs Mt.23:39. The other two tellings are 6:1-2 to 11:19 and 13:1 to 19:11. Then the three rejoin at the seventh trumpet’s sounding. In chapter six is the first veiling.. but once we know it’s there? It’s a riddle! Veils the entire vision, but especially the sixth seal and chapter seven.}

     14 So he rose and took the child and his mother by night and went to Egypt 15 and they stayed there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what the LORD had spoken by the prophet, “Out of Egypt I called my Son.”

     16 Then Herod (the Great) when he saw he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious, and he sent and had killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all the region around, who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the wise men. 17 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, 18 “A voice was heard in Ramah, weeping and loud lamentation, Rachel weeping for her children, she refused to be comforted, because they are no more.” [Ramah is the hill overlooking Bethlehem where Rachel was buried.]

     19 Now when Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 saying, “Rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the child's life are dead.” 21 And he rose and took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there, and being warned in a dream he withdrew to the district of Galilee. 23 And they lived in a city called Nazareth, so what was spoken by the prophets was fulfilled, that he would be called a Nazarene.

1 - Therefore let us go on from the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God {stage one?} 2 and of instruction {stage 2?} about baptisms, then laying on of hands, the resurrection [anastasis] of the dead, and aiΓ³nios judgment. [AiΓ³nios is the adjective of the noun, aion, root of eon.] 3 And move on we shall do if God allows. 4 For it’s nigh impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, have shared in the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God} 5 and have tasted the goodness of the message of God and the powers of the age [aion] to come, 6 and then have fallen away. It’s impossible - for us - to restore such a one again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God in their heart, and causing him to be ridiculed.

21 - And then on his eighth day, when he was circumcised, and named Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

     22 And when the time came for their purification according to the Law of Moses [after forty days] they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord at the temple, 23 as written in the Law of the Lord to do, it being written, “every male who first opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord” 24 and to offer a sacrifice according to the Law of the Lord, “a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.” {Parallel to his being the only begotten, only straight out from God one. God being Life.. Genius.. Perfection. So the Son is called and will forever be “the Firstborn of all Creation”.}

     25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he wouldn’t see death until he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27 And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, 28 he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said, 29 “LORD! Now you are letting your servant depart in peace! According to your word to me, 30 for my eyes have seen your salvation 31 you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, 32 a light for revelation to the nations, and for glory to your people Israel.”

     33 And his father and his mother marveled at what was said about him. 34 And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is opposed. 35 A sword will pierce through your own soul, so the hearts of many may be revealed.”

     36 There was also a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years, having lived with her husband for seven years, 37 and then as a widow until she was eighty-four. She didn’t depart from the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day. 38 And coming up at that very hour she began to give thanks to God and to speak of him to all who were waiting for the delivery and redemption [lΓ½tron - full ransom-price] of Jerusalem.

10 - So Jesus being designated by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek, 11 about this we have much to say, which is hard to explain, since you’ve become dull of hearing. 12 By this time you ought to be teachers! But you need someone to teach you still, the primary, basic and beginning principles of the message of God. You still need milk, and not solid food. 13 Everyone living on milk lacks skill in the message of righteousness and justice [dikaiosunΓ© - righteousness, justice] since they are still but a child. 14 But solid food is for the mature. For those having sharpened their powers of discernment, by the constant practice of distinguishing good from evil {not good} [kakos - bad, evil, wicked, harmful, noisome, injurious; from kakΓa - inner malice – inwardly foul, rotted, compromised, as in the "rot is already in the wood"]. {Imperfection/entropy.. hamartia - “missing the mark”/sinner. Imperfect is an abyss of potential (Rev.9:2). God is Life, and “is Perfect”. Perfect is the final Word of everything. But there’s the matter of at least some power of choice is included in being able to think and reason. God as Life lives through and experiences all things that occur.. and endowed thinking and reasoning to man and angel anyway.. Engineered it so the drama is one and done.

ACTS 2 22-41

 Universalism in the New Testament

       BooK of Acts of the First Believers

                          (Paraphrased)

(At Pentecost that year, seven weeks after resurrection, the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God} was poured out upon the believers. {Father and Son - the only straight out from God one - are so close, both administer God’s Spirit/Presence, same as will saturate and “seal” creation and humanity. It came as a rustling and rumbling wind which caused quite a stir and confusion among those in Jerusalem for Pentecost, so Peter stood up to speak, and concluded with) 22 - “Fellow Israelites, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man shown to you by God with mighty works, wonders and signs that God did through him among you — as you yourselves know — 23 this Jesus, was delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God when you crucified and killed him by the hands of lawless men. 24 But God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it wasn’t possible for death to hold him. 25 For David [known to be a prophetical ‘type’ of Jesus]  says concerning it, ‘I saw the LORD always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken, 26 therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced! My flesh also will dwell in expectation. 27 For you will not abandon my soul to Hades [direct greek replacement for “sheol, where there’s no doing nor knowing” Ecclesiastes 9:10] nor will you let your holy one see corruption. 28 You have made known to me the path of Life. You will make me full of gladness with your presence!’

     29 Brethren! I may say to you with confidence, about the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath (Ps.132:11) to him that he would set one of his descendants upon his throne. 31 And he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus, God raised up. And of that - we all are witnesses. 33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of His Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. 34 For David didn’t ascend into the heavens!  But he prophesied, ‘The LORD said to my Lord, sit at my right hand, 35 until I make your enemies your footstool.’ [1Cor.15:22-28 w/ Mt.13:33, key word 3, barley, wheat, grape. Whereas Mt.13:30 is Rev.16:14-15-16 and, or Mt.25:1-13(10) — JN.5:28,29.

     36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

     37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers! What shall we do!?” 38 And Peter said, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins [hamartia - missing the mark] and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”

     40 And with many other words he bore witness (testified) saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation/what was generated!” {This imperfection/entropy, that “doesn’t quit”.} 41 So those who received his message were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

1 - After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of king Herod the Great, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is he who’s been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and we’ve come to worship him.”

     3 Now when Herod heard this! He was vexed, and all Jerusalem {the powers that were} with him. 4 So assembling the leaders of the people, the chief priests and scribes, he questioned them where the Christ was prophesied to be born. 5 They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet, 6 ‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah. For from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’”

     7 Then Herod secretly having called the wise men inquired of them what time the star had appeared. 8 And he sent them on to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child, and when you’ve found him, bring me word, that I too may come and worship him.”

     9 After this, the wise men {astronomer, astrologers} went on their way. And behold, the star they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10 And when they saw it, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 11 And going inside, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they knelt and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 And then warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way.

     7 In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to he who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. 8 Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. 9 And being tested as perfect, he became the source of enduring salvation to all who obey him.

KEYS - Bible Prophecy

The gospel rode forth conquering, openly victorious over powers, principalities. The response, war with its inequity & plagues, the 4 horsemen, seals 1-4.. (#5)blood of martyrs like of Abel, (#6)1st thermonuclear as warfare - the whole vision is veiled by the seal descriptions as their 1st & last effects blended(ch.6) now we are at the pause of 7:1,3! Still holding.. Meanwhile two groups being sealed on foreheads but reverse the order, Mt.23:39. The 1st group mentioned is also part of the 2nd. Spiritual virgins, Rev.14:4.

      Now, the revelation vision is told 3 times (another veil) — 6:1-2 to 11:19; chapter 12, but vs.17 needs Mt.23:39; and 13:1 to 19:11. And the 3 rejoin at the 7th trumpet. Three tellings is why the first seal 6 event is also Rev.13:13.

     Cast of characters - (1)$ity of Babble (lol) sitting on 7 hills/continents (aka gone global; free enterprise hijacked, gone dissolute) she rides (is oligarchy with) the (modern) (2)many headed geopolitical beast/entity/institution ..what will happen when the huge beast rides her? Rev.17:12,16. (Rev.13:1 and Dan.7:7,19 with Dan.2:36-45 - iron/bronze - roman/greek foundations/western world institution.) (3)The ‘mystery babble’ forehead of “the world” versus the seal on forehead of Rev.7, 14:4. (4)the little beast, the 13:13 event was the first thermonuclear event of chapter 6, seal 6, but the event pinpointed an office not an individual. (Yet?) (5)An of the world “false prophet” whose “strong delusion” of “seating man in the temple as god”/highest power has caused “Christendom” to “fall away”. This one has modern wonders and “miracles to mislead” besides enabling 13:13, and also puts forth a prophecy of course.

     Dan.9:27; 12:11 - (After the thermonuclear as warfare, pause of Rev.7:1,3 is interrupted in some way) a lauded “peace, peace” treaty which alas will only last seven years, will be broken after about 3.5 years, against Israel by “taking away or removing” their holy place of “perpetual sacrifices” of prayers, etc (Luke 19:41,44). “And 1,290 days, or that is 3.5 hebrew years plus 30 days later, will be set up the” (final) “abomination that desolates”. This time upon the human temple meant for God’s Spirit/Presence (1 Corinthians 3:16). Next verse, Dan.12:12 “Happy is the one/those, who wait, and come to, the days 1,335” which is 45 days later? The last “ten days” - Rev.2:10 - escalating from “cannot buy or sell” to “will be executed”?

     Matthew 13:30 - the still tares gather to/are gathered to fiery Armageddon battle (Rev.16:14-15-16) [Isaiah 24:20/Rev.10:4]. And “the wheat” is gathered into the barn (Matthew 25:1-13(10) - the “door” to serving called reigning during the Lord’s long second advent?

     Ultimately “the lion will eat straw like the ox, the bear will graze with cow” Isaiah 11:7. “Twelve manner of fruit for every moon/month” Rev.22, which chapter has in it narrative that is spoken outside of the vision. Like the rich man and Lazarus parable portrays initial inner conditions of some during GWT Judgment (and Closure) ‘day’.

And his delight, peace on Earth among men!”

     15 When the angels left, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this which the LORD has made known to us!” 16 And they went with haste, and they found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. 17 And when they saw it, they told all they had heard concerning the child. 18 And all who heard it wondered. 19 But Mary treasured up these things, pondering them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them by the angel.

     4 When Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby in her womb leaped, she was filled with the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God}, 42 and she exclaimed, “Blessed are you among women! And blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 Why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come here? 44 For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy! 45 And blessed is she who believed there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the LORD.”

26 - In the sixth month (of “John the baptist’s” being in the womb) the angel Gabriel was sent from God to Nazareth, a city of Galilee, 27 to a maid (maids were virgins) betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. 28 Gabriel came and said to her, “Greetings, O favored one, the LORD is with you!”

     29 She was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to think what sort of greeting it might be. 30 And Gabriel said, “Don’t be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God! 31 And look! You will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. And the LORD God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

     34 Mary asked him, “How will this be, since I have never been with a man?” 35 Gabriel answered her, “The Holy Spirit{/Presence of God} will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. And so the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. 36 And also, your relative Elizabeth, in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is now the sixth month with her who was said to be barren. 37 For with God, nothing is impossible.”

     38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the LORD. Let it be to me according to your word.” {According to what God wants.} And then the angel departed.

1 - Therefore, holy brethren, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of what we profess. 2 He who was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God's house. 3 For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house he built. 4 For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. 5 Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, to testify of the things that were spoken, 6 but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son. [A firstborn Son.] And we are his house, if indeed we hold fast to our confidence and joyful hope [elpis - expectation].

     06/16 - GospeL Verses

1 - Inasmuch as many have undertaken to write an account of the things that have occurred among us, 2 and just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and heralds of the message, 3 it seemed good to me also, having followed all these things closely for some time now, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, 4 so you may know for certain, concerning the things you’ve been taught.

     5 In the days of Herod, king of Judea (“the Great” Rev.12:4) there was a priest named Zechariah, of the division of Abijah. And he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 They were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in the commandments and statutes of the LORD. 7 But they had no child. Elizabeth was barren, and both were advanced in years.

     8 And while he was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty, 9 according to the custom of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the LORD to burn incense. 10 And all the people were praying outside at the hour of incense and prayer. 11 And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12 Which scared Zechariah, 13 but the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, for your prayer has been heard, Zechariah. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. 15 For he will be great before the LORD. He must not drink wine or strong drink, for he will be filled with the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) even from his mother's womb. 16 And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the LORD their God, 17 for he will go forth before him (in his presence) and in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just. To make ready for the LORD a people prepared.” (For Messiah/anointed one, aka King, deliverer, savior.)

     18 And Zechariah said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I’m an old man, and my wife is advanced in years.” 19 And the angel said, “I’m Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. 20 Now you’ll be silent, unable to speak, until these things take place, because you didn’t believe my words {and might not again} which will be fulfilled in their allotted time.”

     21 The people were outside waiting, and were wondering about Zechariah’s delay in the temple. 22 When he came out, he was unable to say anything, and they realized he had seen a vision. He made signs to them but remained mute. 23 And when his time of service was ended, he went home. 24 And after these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she kept herself isolated, saying, 25 “Thus the Lord has done for me in the days when he looked upon me, to take away my reproach {embarrassment, feeling shamed} among the people.”

He did this so that by dying he would destroy death and the one holding its strength, the devil [diabolos - accuser, slanderer, in order to cause harm] 15 - and so deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to a life of captivity. 16 For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham.

     17 Therefore it behooved him to be made like the brothers and sisters in every respect, so as to be a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and to satisfy the debt for the sins of the people. 18 And because he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. {We can be tempted to join the accuser, and, or the ideas, trends/spirits of “the world”.}

ACTS 1 1-26

 Universalism in the New Testament

       BooK of Acts of the First Believers

                          (Paraphrased)

1 - In the first book, O Theophilus, I (Luke) have dealt with all that Jesus did and taught 2 until the day he was taken up, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God} to the apostles he had chosen. [Luke is a Greek doctor who met Paul when Paul was traveling. Like the gospel account he wrote, some in this book must have been compiled by interviews. He traveled some with Paul, we can see by where he uses the word “we”.]

     3 Jesus - with proofs - presented himself alive after his suffering (after his execution) having appeared to them over forty days, speaking about the kingdom of God. 4 And while he was still here, he told them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father. “The promise I have told you about” Jesus said [Jn.14:16, Lk.24:49]. 5 “For John baptized with water, but you’ll be baptized with the Holy Spirit (with God’s veRy Presence!) a few days from now.” 6 And they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”7 He answered, “It’s not for you to know the times and seasons that the Father has fixed. 8 But you’ll receive power when the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God with you) has come upon you, and then you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in (neighboring) Samaria, and to the very ends of earth.” 9 And when he had said these things, they saw him lifted up, for a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven watching as he went, behold, two men stood nearby in white (aka, radiant?) robes, 11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you, will come in the same way, as you saw him, go up.”

     12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mountain called “of Olives” which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away. 13 And they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. 14 They were spending their time in prayer, with the women and Mary, mother of Jesus, along with his (birth) brothers.

     15 And during those days Peter stood up among the believers (the number of which was about 120) and said, 16 “Brothers and sisters, the Scripture was fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke in earlier times by (king) David concerning Judas, who is the one who became guide to those who arrested Jesus. 17 For he was numbered among us and allotted his part in this ministry.” 18 Now this man [Judas] acquired a field with the reward (coins) of his wickedness, and then fell upon a sword and 19 all Jerusalem heard of it, and so in their language they named the field Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood — {This is one way it was remembered and thought of by the time of this writing, which was some time later. Paul writes it as occurring differently.) 20 “For it’s written” Peter continued, “in the Book of Psalms, ‘May his place (seat, office) become desolate, and let there be no one to dwell in it’ and ‘Let another take his place.’ 21 So one of the men who have been with us during all the time when the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up - one of these men must become with us a witness to his resurrection.”

     23 And so they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias. 24 And they prayed, saying, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen 25 to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.” [Topos - place, region, seat, part] (“all the world is a stage”.. Shakespeare.) 26 And then they cast lots, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven. {“Chosen” anybody chosen is by a lucky shake of the heavenly dice? For it’s not according to any sort of worth. He simply decided for his purposes to call/wake up some now, and the rest later - Lev.23:23-36.}

(Still by the sea) 16 - Jesus said to Peter a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter answered, “Yes, Lord, you know I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” 17 Then he said to him a third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter felt grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” so he said to him, “Lord! You know everything! You know I love you!” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. 18 Truly, I tell you, when you were young, you would dress yourself and go wherever you wanted, but when you’re old, you’ll stretch out your hands, and another will dress you, and carry you where you don’t want to go.” 19 This he said to show by what kind of death he would suffer, but glorify God by. And after saying it, he said, “Follow me.” {Be sure to follow me, and you will be able to feed my sheep nourishing food at the proper time. ..And not be found confused with the confused, aka with “the world”, nor found of him beating up on other members of the household.. in word, thought or deed. Three harvests - barley, wheat and grape -> 1Cor.15:22-28. All the all’s are “pas/all”, in 27 and 28. Also Jn.13:3, Rev.21:5.. and more. Twice or three times(?) in Eph.1:10.}

     20 Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them. (This is how John, the author, referred to himself.) The one who also had leaned back against him during supper that night, and said, “Lord, who is it that’s going to betray you?” 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it’s my will he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me.” 23 So after a while the saying spread among all the brothers and sisters that this disciple was not to die. Yet Jesus didn’t say he wasn’t going to die, but, “If, it’s my will he remain until I come, what is that to you?”

     24 This is the disciple who is bearing witness about all these things, and who has written this account of them, and we know his testimony is true. {Saw it with his own eyes.} 25 There are also many other things that Jesus did. But if every one of them were to be written, I suppose the world itself couldn’t contain the books that would be written. {Imagine all that will be accomplished during long second advent!      9 When they got to dry land, they saw a charcoal fire laid, with fish upon it, and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you’ve just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter went on board and hauled the net, full of large fish ashore. 153 And although there were so many, the net didn’t tear. 12 Jesus said, “Come and have breakfast.” And none asked him, “Who are you?” For they knew it was him. 13 Jesus took the bread and gave it to them, and also the fish. 14 This was now the third time he was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead. 15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than all this?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.”

     06/11 - GospeL Verses

30 - Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book. 31 But what is written is so you may believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

     21:1 - Now Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias (another name for Sea of Galilee). And in this way — 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. 3 Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing!” They said to him, “We’ll go too.” So they took the boat out, but all that night, they caught nothing.

     4 And just as day was breaking, Jesus stood at the shore. The disciples didn’t know it was Jesus. 5 He said to them, “Children, have you any fish?” They answered, “No, we caught nothing.” 6 He said, “Cast the net to the right side of the boat, and you’ll find some.” So they did, and now they were not able to haul in the catch, there were so many.

 BooK of Revelation

                a paraphrased study

1 - Then I (John) saw in the right hand of he who was seated on the throne, a scroll written within and on the back. And it was sealed with seven seals.

     2 And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll?! And to break its seals?” 3 And no one in heaven or upon earth or under earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it. 4 And I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. 5 But one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more. Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered. He can open the scroll and its seven seals.” {Secrets, keys(?) to the vision and Truth about to be unveiled..} [Root - rhiza - metaphorically/spiritually - cause, origin, source (of shepherd turned king, David {and of all}).]

     6 And then, with the throne and the four living creatures, and among the elders, I saw a Lamb standing, as though slain. It had seven horns and seven eyes, which is the sevenfold {perfect} spirit oF God *sent* into all the earth. {The pure, uncontaminated Holy Ghost/Presence/Spirit oF God the Father. The Son is the proto/first, the onLy straight out from God one. So close both Father and Son administer God’s Spirit/Presence. The same as will saturate, thus “seal” humanity and all creation.. “The lion will eat straw like the ox, the bear will graze with the cow” Isaiah 11:7. {But first Is.24:20/Rev.10:4 followed by Jesus’ long second advent, theN the (fiery) “palin/again-genesis” when God says “behold! I make all (pas - all) new!” and God “will now *Tabernacle* with mankind..” {Note: there is narrative in Rev.22 that is spoken outside of the vision. And had mankind not become carnivore they would have become prey? Straying/imPerfection/entropy (the worm and slow gehenna fire that “does not quit”) is a potential abyss of possibilities.}

Hebrews 1 10-14

06/10 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

10 - And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands. 11 They will perish, but you remain. They all wear out like a garment. 12 Like a robe you will roll them up, and like a garment they will be changed! But you are the same, and your time has no end.” 13 And to which of the angels has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth for the sake of those who are about to inherit salvation?

     06/10 - GospeL Verses

19 - Towards evening of that same day (of the resurrection) the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 20 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. And the disciples rejoiced when they saw him.

     21 Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you” and said, “as the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” 22 And then he blew breath and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive any, they’re forgiven, if you withhold forgiveness, it’s withheld.”

     24 Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, wasn’t with them. 25 So later the other disciples told him, “We’ve seen the Lord!” But he said, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and touch the wounds of his hands and side, I’ll never believe.”

     26 After eight days, his disciples were inside again, and this time Thomas was with them. And although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”

     27 Then he said to (doubting) Thomas, “See my wounds, here in my hands, and my side. Touch them and don’t disbelieve, but believe.” 28 Thomas answered, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said, “Have you believed because you’ve seen? Blessed are those who’ve not seen, and yet they believe.”

06/09 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

5 - For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son, today I’ve begotten you”? {Only straight out from God one.. forever “Firstborn of creation”. Whereas mankind and before mankind, angelkind are created/formed beings.. endowed with genuine thinking and reasoning ability.}

     Or again, “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son”? 6 And again {later} when he brought the firstborn into the world, he said, “Let all God's angels worship him.” (Angel worship was going on. A trend/spirit. We have many different trends today, both okd and new.) 7 Of the angels he said, “He makes his angels winds, his servants a flame of fire.” 8 But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is age to age, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. 9 You love righteousness and hate wickedness, therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness and exultation beyond your companions [mΓ©toxos - (those who are your) fellow(s), partaker(s); from metexo - share in, meta - change afterwards, and mexo - have —properly change due to sharing, i.e. from being an active partaker with].” ..{To love righteousness/rightness/justice and hate wicked-ness, grows friuit - of gladness, joy, happiness, contentment; root and foundation being in friendship with Father and Son.. They are so close both administer God’s Spirit/Presence, same as will “seal” and saturate humanity and creation. The Son is vastly superior to the angels, and to all. The first, greek proto. The prototype. “We shall be like him” but he is forever first. “All of heaven and all of earth” are being “gathered into Him” Eph.1:10. After which, when fully completed, will be the “the regenesis, the “palin/again-genesis, fiery, of Rev.21:1-5. Last mention, out of 3, of a lake of fire, at a very large fiery event.}

MARK 16 12-18

     06/09 - GospeL Verses

[Secretary/Scribe Mark’s version, his gospel/good news account of the advent is thought to be the earliest of the four; gathered by interview. All witness accounts differ in some details.] 12 - After these things he appeared in another way to two of them, as they were walking into the country. 13 And when they went back and told the rest, they didn’t believe them.

     14 But a little later he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he asked them about their unbelief and hardness of heart, why they hadn’t believed those who saw him after he had risen. 15 Then he told them to “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to all. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever doesn’t believe will be judged as guilty.” {As we all were.} 17 “And these signs will accompany those who believe - in my name they will cast out demons. They will speak with new tongues.” {Because their hearts are new? But beware the forked tongue of the adversary, which is of course division.. any ‘us and them’ attitude will do?} 18 “They will take to hand and remove serpents. And if they drink any deadly poison, it will noT harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will be well.” {Especially during long second advent, surely(?) a full scope version of his so brief first one. With “crowns of Life” ‘reigning’ during the “last great day”..}

06/08 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

1 - Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke by the prophets, 2 but in these days he’s spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all [pas - all, every, the whole] through whom also, he created the world [aion(s)] {creation/space and time}. 3 Who being the radiance of God’s glory, and the exact representation of God’s person [hupostasis - substance, essence, reality, nature] upholds all by the word, the power. After making purification for sin [hamartia - missing the mark] {purifies the conscience, free for the purification of heart and mind} he then sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.
