ENTER THE STORY - A NEW TESTAMENT READING SCHEDULE

Note: It was a highly accelerated biG banG into the universe that is,  like a clock not running, and then,  it was set in motion. “The lion will eat straw
like the ox..
the bear will graze
with the cow” Isaiah 11:7.
(But first Isaiah 24:20, Rev.10:4.)
{Ps.91,46,23, Rev.7:15-17}

~ * ~ ~*~ ~ * ~ ~*~ ~ * ~ ~*~

List of Some Translator Errors, due to partial disbelief? ~~ Not including God’s riddles/hiding things in plain sight. ~~ Changed “all” whenever possible, to “all things” Rev.21:5, Eph.1:10, Jn.13:3, 1Cor.15:27, five times! And so repeating what 5 times? ..And more. But not 2Tim.3:16 or 1Cor.15:28, for example. ~~ Often rendered not into never and aion/eon into forever. ~~ Translating hamartia - missing the mark, into “sin” (trespass) misses the mark a little. (God is Life, and “is perfect” Mt.5:48, a conundrum for imperfect/missing the mark. But no option to stray in Eden, and creation would have to be an ant farm.) ~~ Of course five separate words turned into ‘hell’, even pit when “dust of” is in the verse & Ps.30:9. The three mentions of lake of fire are at very large, fiery events. Not very understandable in 95 CE or thereabouts, Is.24:20, Rev.10:4 (Ps.91,46,23, Rev7:15-17)

57 - The time came for Elizabeth to give birth, and she bore a son. 58 Her neighbors and relatives heard how the Lord had blessed her, and they rejoiced with her. 59 And - on the eighth day - they came to circumcise the child. {Symbolizes, in the “new” way (THE way) the removal of the self first and foremost, carnal character. The collective completed during the “8th ‘day’”/millennium, during GWT Judgment/Discernment/Review and Kolasis/Correction ‘Day’.} And they would have called him Zechariah after his father, 60 but his mother said, “No, his name is John.” 61 “But none of your relatives are named John!” they said. 62 And they made signs to his father, inquiring what he wanted. 63 And he asked for a writing tablet and he wrote, “His name is John.” And they were all amazed. 64 And immediately his mouth was opened, his tongue was loosed, and he spoke and blessed God. 65 Wonder came upon the family and neighbors. And these things were talked about through all the hill country of Judea. 66 For they wondered in their hearts, ‘What will this child be?’ For they could see, the hand of the LORD was with him.

06/20 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

4 - For he has somewhere spoken of the seventh day in this way, “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works.” 5 And again in this passage he said “They shall not enter my rest.” 6 Since therefore it remains for some to enter, and those who formerly received the good news failed to enter because of disobedience {not following the instructions} 7 again he appoints a certain day, “Today,” saying through David so long later, in the words already quoted, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” {Don’t LET our heart be hardened. The face of the wolf (in sheep’s clothing no less!) is accusation. Of our self. Of others. Of that other group over there.. The us and them attitude. But especially the accusations about God. Remember his voice has to speak to all, not just the best among us. But also the worst. Surely pre-flood was hands off. Imperfection/entropy is an abyss oF potential.. And how did Jesus preach to those who were waiting and ridiculing while the ark was being built? 1 Pet.3:19-20 -> 2Pet.2:5, imo.}

    {Jesus said - “All those - in the tombs/graves - will hear God’s voice and will come forth (from where? Clue - they’re in graves/tombs.) Some rising into the resurrection of life (into THE millennium, to serve called reigning.. for to do His works is surely to reign.. crown of Life, after all, not metal). And some rise in the resurrection into GWT judgment” ‘day’ (Jn.5:28-29) which elsewhere He calls agelasting correction “kolasin aionion” (oR “korrection eonian”) Mt.25:46. The crucible being life as we presently know it - this unavoidable, all important contrast - untiL vivification at 1Cor.15:52,53 or Rev.21:5, 1Cor.15:24-28. All in the kingdom of heaven shall have character that is clear as crystal. Humanity and creation sealed. “The lion will eat straw like the ox, the bear will graze with the cow..” Is.11:7}

18 - Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place like this. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. 19 And Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to separate from her quietly. 20 But as he considered it all, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins [hamartia - missing the mark].” 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord spoke long ago by the prophet, 23 “Behold, the virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel”

which means, God with us.

     24 When Joseph awoke from sleep, he did as the angel of the LORD instructed him and took her as his wife, 25 but knew her not, until she had given birth to a son, who he named Jesus.

1 - So! While the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of us should seem to fail to reach that rest. 2 For good news came to us just as to them of old, but the message they heard didn’t benefit them, because they weren’t united in faith with those who did hear. 3 For we who have believed enter that rest, as he said, “As I swore in my wrath {cause and effect} ‘They shall not {cannot} enter my rest.’” Although! His works were finished from the foundation/forming of the world. {He has his blueprint.. it’s all in motion. What’s the logic in our stalling? And not “entering that REST” that leaning and dependence upon Him to do HiS work in us. All we have to do, is be His. It’s all plus, plus. He has each one’s highest blueprint and spiritual dna. 06/18 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

12 - Take care, brothers and sisters that there not be in any of you an evil [ponéros - evil, wicked, bad, malicious, harmful] unbelieving heart, which can lead you to falling away from the living God. 13 Instead encourage and exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none may be hardened by the misleading trickiness of sin. 14 For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed, we hold our original confidence, firm to the end. 15 As it’s said, “Today! - If you hear his voice, don’t harden your heart as in the rebellion.”

     16 For who were those who heard, and yet rebelled? Was it not all those who left Egypt, led by Moses? 17 And with whom was he grieved for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned and fell in the wilderness? {Proof #2 after hands off pre-flood - proof imperfect can never work, along with just telling us.} 18 And to whom did he swear they would not {could not} enter his rest? But to those who were disobedient? {If we don’t follow “the way” we cannot reach the destination it is meant to lead to, until much later, and may miss serving called reigning during the Lord’s long 2nd advent, surely(?) full scope version of his so brief 1st one.} 19 So we see that they were unable to enter {or much later for others to translate properly? Like changing all to all things.. aion, root of eon into for ever ..and ever. And changed five, yes five words into reading ‘hell’ - ancient spiritual propaganda myth and enchantment} because of disbelief. {But is it surprising God’s Truth sounds too Good to be true? 26 - In the sixth month (of “John the baptist’s” being in the womb) the angel Gabriel was sent from God to Nazareth, a city of Galilee, 27 to a maid (maids were virgins) betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. 28 Gabriel came and said to her, “Greetings, O favored one, the LORD is with you!”

     29 She was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to think what sort of greeting it might be. 30 And Gabriel said, “Don’t be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God! 31 And look! You will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. And the LORD God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

     34 Mary asked him, “How will this be, since I have never been with a man?” 35 Gabriel answered her, “The Holy Spirit{/Presence of God} will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. And so the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. 36 And also, your relative Elizabeth, in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is now the sixth month with her who was said to be barren. 37 For with God, nothing is impossible.”

     38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the LORD. Let it be to me according to your word.” {According to what God wants.} And then the angel departed.

1 - Therefore, holy brethren, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of what we profess. 2 He who was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God's house. 3 For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house he built. 4 For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. 5 Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, to testify of the things that were spoken, 6 but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son. [A firstborn Son.] And we are his house, if indeed we hold fast to our confidence and joyful hope [elpis - expectation].

 🍃🕊️reading & study 🕊️🍃

     06/16 - GospeL Verses

1 - Inasmuch as many have undertaken to write an account of the things that have occurred among us, 2 and just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and heralds of the message, 3 it seemed good to me also, having followed all these things closely for some time now, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, 4 so you may know for certain, concerning the things you’ve been taught.

     5 In the days of Herod, king of Judea (“the Great” Rev.12:4) there was a priest named Zechariah, of the division of Abijah. And he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 They were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in the commandments and statutes of the LORD. 7 But they had no child. Elizabeth was barren, and both were advanced in years.

     8 And while he was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty, 9 according to the custom of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the LORD to burn incense. 10 And all the people were praying outside at the hour of incense and prayer. 11 And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12 Which scared Zechariah, 13 but the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, for your prayer has been heard, Zechariah. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. 15 For he will be great before the LORD. He must not drink wine or strong drink, for he will be filled with the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) even from his mother's womb. 16 And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the LORD their God, 17 for he will go forth before him (in his presence) and in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just. To make ready for the LORD a people prepared.” (For Messiah/anointed one, aka King, deliverer, savior.)

     18 And Zechariah said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I’m an old man, and my wife is advanced in years.” 19 And the angel said, “I’m Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. 20 Now you’ll be silent, unable to speak, until these things take place, because you didn’t believe my words {and might not again} which will be fulfilled in their allotted time.”

     21 The people were outside waiting, and were wondering about Zechariah’s delay in the temple. 22 When he came out, he was unable to say anything, and they realized he had seen a vision. He made signs to them but remained mute. 23 And when his time of service was ended, he went home. 24 And after these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she kept herself isolated, saying, 25 “Thus the Lord has done for me in the days when he looked upon me, to take away my reproach {embarrassment, feeling shamed} among the people.”

[14 - Since the sons and daughters are flesh and blood, Jesus {“forever first” and the firstborn Son} took on flesh and blood to be like them. He did this so that by dying he would destroy death and the one holding its strength, the devil [diabolos - accuser, slanderer, in order to cause harm] 15 - and so deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to a life of captivity. 16 For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham.

     17 Therefore it behooved him to be made like the brothers and sisters in every respect, so as to be a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and to satisfy the debt for the sins of the people. 18 And because he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. {We can be tempted to join the accuser, and, or the ideas, trends/spirits of “the world”.}

ACTS 1 1-26

 Universalism in the New Testament

       BooK of Acts of the First Believers

                          (Paraphrased)

1 - In the first book, O Theophilus, I (Luke) have dealt with all that Jesus did and taught 2 until the day he was taken up, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God} to the apostles he had chosen. [Luke is a Greek doctor who met Paul when Paul was traveling. Like the gospel account he wrote, some in this book must have been compiled by interviews. He traveled some with Paul, we can see by where he uses the word “we”.]

     3 Jesus - with proofs - presented himself alive after his suffering (after his execution) having appeared to them over forty days, speaking about the kingdom of God. 4 And while he was still here, he told them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father. “The promise I have told you about” Jesus said [Jn.14:16, Lk.24:49]. 5 “For John baptized with water, but you’ll be baptized with the Holy Spirit (with God’s veRy Presence!) a few days from now.” 6 And they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”7 He answered, “It’s not for you to know the times and seasons that the Father has fixed. 8 But you’ll receive power when the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God with you) has come upon you, and then you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in (neighboring) Samaria, and to the very ends of earth.” 9 And when he had said these things, they saw him lifted up, for a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven watching as he went, behold, two men stood nearby in white (aka, radiant?) robes, 11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you, will come in the same way, as you saw him, go up.”

     12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mountain called “of Olives” which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away. 13 And they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. 14 They were spending their time in prayer, with the women and Mary, mother of Jesus, along with his (birth) brothers.

     15 And during those days Peter stood up among the believers (the number of which was about 120) and said, 16 “Brothers and sisters, the Scripture was fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke in earlier times by (king) David concerning Judas, who is the one who became guide to those who arrested Jesus. 17 For he was numbered among us and allotted his part in this ministry.” 18 Now this man [Judas] acquired a field with the reward (coins) of his wickedness, and then fell upon a sword and 19 all Jerusalem heard of it, and so in their language they named the field Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood — {This is one way it was remembered and thought of by the time of this writing, which was some time later. Paul writes it as occurring differently.) 20 “For it’s written” Peter continued, “in the Book of Psalms, ‘May his place (seat, office) become desolate, and let there be no one to dwell in it’ and ‘Let another take his place.’ 21 So one of the men who have been with us during all the time when the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up - one of these men must become with us a witness to his resurrection.”

     23 And so they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias. 24 And they prayed, saying, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen 25 to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.” [Topos - place, region, seat, part] (“all the world is a stage”.. Shakespeare.) 26 And then they cast lots, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven. {“Chosen” anybody chosen is by a lucky shake of the heavenly dice? For it’s not according to any sort of worth. He simply decided for his purposes to call/wake up some now, and the rest later - Lev.23:23-36.}

06/14 ~ From New Testament Letters

12 - The scripture also says, “I will tell of your name [onoma - name, reputation, authority, cause] to my brothers. In the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.” 13 And again, “I will put my trust in him.” And again, “Behold, I and the children God has given me” (Jn.13:3). 14 And since the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise as well, that through his death he might destroy the one holding the strength of death, that is, the devil [diabolos - devil, accuser, slanderer; defamer in order to hurt, malign, condemn, to bring down, destroy]. {Interrupted the result of the first gone rogue one.. but all surely(?) would go rogue in some thought, word or deed, sooner ot later.. So “GOD has subjected all to disobedience” Ro.11:32, all together at once.. so now this entropy (entropic crucible) which “does not quit”. But because Christ died who was not under imperfection/entropy.. he became the resurrection. And also “the seed” in us when we are “born again and anew” and “reconciled to God” who is Life.}

9 - But we see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels. But then crowned with glory and honor because of his suffering of death, so that by the grace of God, he would taste death for all. 10 For it was fitting, that he, for whom and by whom, all exist, in bringing many to glory, should make the captain [archégos - pioneer] of their salvation [sótéria - deliverance, safety, rescue, well being] (tested to) perfection through suffering. 11 For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all of one. That’s why he’s not ashamed to call them brethren [adelphos - of the same womb, brother, also sister].

JOHN 21 16-25

 a paraphrased ‘enter the story’

 🍃🕊️reading & study 🕊️🍃

     06/13 - GospeL Verses

(Still by the sea) 16 - Jesus said to Peter a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter answered, “Yes, Lord, you know I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” 17 Then he said to him a third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter felt grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” so he said to him, “Lord! You know everything! You know I love you!” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. 18 Truly, I tell you, when you were young, you would dress yourself and go wherever you wanted, but when you’re old, you’ll stretch out your hands, and another will dress you, and carry you where you don’t want to go.” 19 This he said to show by what kind of death he would suffer, but glorify God by. And after saying it, he said, “Follow me.” {Be sure to follow me, and you will be able to feed my sheep nourishing food at the proper time. ..And not be found confused with the confused, aka with “the world”, nor found of him beating up on other members of the household.. in word, thought or deed. There are many enchantments, it really doesn’t matter which overcomes, a little leaven leavens the whole lump. Not to be confused with Mt.13:33, key word 3. Three harvests - barley, wheat and grape -> 1Cor.15:22-28. All the all’s are “pas/all”, in 27 and 28. Also Jn.13:3, Rev.21:5.. and more. Twice or three times(?) in Eph.1:10.}

     20 Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them. (This is how John, the author, referred to himself.) The one who also had leaned back against him during supper that night, and said, “Lord, who is it that’s going to betray you?” 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it’s my will he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me.” 23 So after a while the saying spread among all the brothers and sisters that this disciple was not to die. Yet Jesus didn’t say he wasn’t going to die, but, “If, it’s my will he remain until I come, what is that to you?”

     24 This is the disciple who is bearing witness about all these things, and who has written this account of them, and we know his testimony is true. {Saw it with his own eyes.} 25 There are also many other things that Jesus did. But if every one of them were to be written, I suppose the world itself couldn’t contain the books that would be written. {Imagine all that will be accomplished during long second advent! After he “comes”.}

06/12 ~ From New Testament Letters

4 - God also bearing witness by the signs, wonders and miracles. And by gifts of the Holy Spirit (/Presence of God) distributed according to his will and intent. 5 For it wasn’t to angels that God subjected the world to come (Rev.21:1-5; Isaiah 11:7). Of which we speak. 6 It’s been testified somewhere, “What is man, that you’re mindful of him? Or the son of man, that you care for him? 7 You made him for a little while, lower than the angels. You’ve crowned him with glory and honor, 8 putting everything in subjection under his feet.” [Ps.8:4-6] Now in putting everything in subjection to him (man) he left nothing outside his control. At present, we don’t yet see everything in subjection to him. {But! Is joined with him in this temporary imperfection/entropy.. a slow gehenna crucible and abyss of potential, life as we presently know it.. The dis-ease (and contrast) as part of the cure.. and immunity? ‘Herd’ immunity to straying from God who is Life, and “is perfect”.}

     9 When they got to dry land, they saw a charcoal fire laid, with fish upon it, and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you’ve just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter went on board and hauled the net, full of large fish ashore. 153 And although there were so many, the net didn’t tear. 12 Jesus said, “Come and have breakfast.” And none asked him, “Who are you?” For they knew it was him. 13 Jesus took the bread and gave it to them, and also the fish. 14 This was now the third time he was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead. 15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than all this?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.”

30 - Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book. 31 But what is written is so you may believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

     21:1 - Now Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias (another name for Sea of Galilee). And in this way — 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. 3 Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing!” They said to him, “We’ll go too.” So they took the boat out, but all that night, they caught nothing.

     4 And just as day was breaking, Jesus stood at the shore. The disciples didn’t know it was Jesus. 5 He said to them, “Children, have you any fish?” They answered, “No, we caught nothing.” 6 He said, “Cast the net to the right side of the boat, and you’ll find some.” So they did, and now they were not able to haul in the catch, there were so many.

1 - Then I (John) saw in the right hand of he who was seated on the throne, a scroll written within and on the back. And it was sealed with seven seals.

     2 And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll?! And to break its seals?” 3 And no one in heaven or upon earth or under earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it. 4 And I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. 5 But one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more. Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered. He can open the scroll and its seven seals.” {Secrets, keys(?) to the vision and Truth about to be unveiled..} [Root - rhiza - metaphorically/spiritually - cause, origin, source (of shepherd turned king, David {and of all}).]

19 - Towards evening of that same day (of the resurrection) the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 20 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. And the disciples rejoiced when they saw him.

     21 Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you” and said, “as the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” 22 And then he blew breath and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive any, they’re forgiven, if you withhold forgiveness, it’s withheld.”

     24 Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, wasn’t with them. 25 So later the other disciples told him, “We’ve seen the Lord!” But he said, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and touch the wounds of his hands and side, I’ll never believe.”

     26 After eight days, his disciples were inside again, and this time Thomas was with them. And although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”

     27 Then he said to (doubting) Thomas, “See my wounds, here in my hands, and my side. Touch them and don’t disbelieve, but believe.” 28 Thomas answered, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said, “Have you believed because you’ve seen? Blessed are those who’ve not seen, and yet they believe.”

     Or again, “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son”? 6 And again {later} when he brought the firstborn into the world, he said, “Let all God's angels worship him.” (Angel worship was going on. A trend/spirit. We have many different trends today, both okd and new.) 7 Of the angels he said, “He makes his angels winds, his servants a flame of fire.” 8 But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is age to age, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. 9 You love righteousness and hate wickedness, therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness and exultation beyond your companions [métoxos - (those who are your) fellow(s), partaker(s); from metexo - share in, meta - change afterwards, and mexo - have —properly change due to sharing, i.e. from being an active partaker with].” ..{To love righteousness/rightness/justice and hate wicked-ness, grows friuit - of gladness, joy, happiness, contentment; root and foundation being in friendship with Father and Son..      14 But a little later he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he asked them about their unbelief and hardness of heart, why they hadn’t believed those who saw him after he had risen. 15 Then he told them to “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to all. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever doesn’t believe will be judged as guilty.” {As we all were.} 17 “And these signs will accompany those who believe - in my name they will cast out demons. They will speak with new tongues.” {Because their hearts are new? But beware the forked tongue of the adversary, which is of course division.. any ‘us and them’ attitude will do?} 18 “They will take to hand and remove serpents. After making purification for sin [hamartia - missing the mark] {purifies the conscience, free for the purification of heart and mind} he then sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

     38 He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why is there doubt in your hearts? 39 See my hands and feet, that it’s I myself. Touch me, and see. For a ghost does not have flesh and bones - as you see, I have.” 40 And he showed them his hands and feet. 41 And while they still could hardly believe for joy and were marveling, he said, “Have you anything to eat?” 42 So they gave him a broiled fish, 43 and he ate it there before them.

     44 Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you - that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Psalms, and written by the Prophets must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scripture, 46 and he said to them, “Thus, is it written, that Messiah/the Christ should suffer and rise from the dead the third day. 47 And that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem. 48 And you are witnesses of it.”

He has appeared to Simon!” 35 Then the two told what had happened on the road to Emmaus, and how he became known to them by - the breaking of the bread. {Man shall not live on bread alone but by every word from the mouth of God” our spiritual nurturance and feast! 14 - It was also about this that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes amidst myriads of his holy ones, 15 to work/cause justice upon all. To convince the ungodly concerning all the works of ungodliness impiously done and concerning the severe things the ungodly have spoken against him.” 16 Such are the grumblers, malcontents, following their own lusts, they are loud boasters, causing wonder to gain advantage.

     17 But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus, 18 how they said, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.”19 It is these who cause divisions. They are worldly, devoid of the Spirit{/Presence of God}.

     06/06 - GospeL Verses

13 - That same day two of them were walking to a village called Emmaus, which is about seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 They were talking to one another about all that had happened. 15 And while they were walking along and talking, Jesus drew near and began to walk with them. 16 But their eyes were kept from seeing who he was.

     17 And he said to them, “What is this you’re talking about as you walk along?” They stopped, and looking sad, 18 one of them, Cleopas, said, “Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who doesn’t know all that has just happened there?” And he said, “What do you mean?” {..It is done, finished.. and behind me, now I can joke about it..} And they said to him, “Concerning Jesus of Nazareth! A man who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people! 20 And how our leaders, the chief priests and rulers, delivered him up to be condemned, and had him crucified {executed}. 21 But we had hoped he was the one to deliver Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it’s now the third day since it happened, 22 and some women of our company have amazed us by saying they saw him alive! They were at the tomb, early in the morning, 23 they didn’t find his body, but they saw a vision of angels, who said he was alive.

     24 Some of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said. But they didn’t see him.”

     25 Then Jesus said to them, “Oh unthinking ones! And so slow of heart to believe all the prophets have spoken!  {Same with translators?} 26 Wasn’t it necessary the Christ [the Messiah, both words mean anointed one, anointed to be king] should suffer these things? And come into his glory?”

     27 Then beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he related to them the Scriptures about himself.

     28 And as they drew near to the village he acted as though he would continue on, 29 but they said to him, urging him strongly, “Come with us and stay, for it’s toward sunset and the day is ending.” So he went with them.

7 - Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desires, serve as an example by undergoing a justice of aionion {of an age} fire, 8 in the same manner these people also, dreamers, pollute theitselves, reject authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones. 9 But when the archangel Michael, argued with the devil about the body of Moses, he didn’t presume to pronounce an insulting judgment, but said, “The LORD rebuke you.” 10 But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively. 11 Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam's error [prophesying/teaching what the people and the world wanted to hear] and perished in Korah's rebellion. 12 These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear shepherding others but feeding theirselves, waterless clouds, blown along by winds, fruitless trees in autumn, twice having died, uprooted, 13 wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam, wandering stars, for whom the gloom of darkness has been reserved to the age [aion].

1 - Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James (both half brothers of Jesus). To those who are called, who are beloved in God the Father and kept in Jesus Christ:

     2 May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

3 Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all, originally delivered to the saints (believers). 4 For certain people have stealthily come in, who long ago were written of their condemnation, ungodly, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

     5 Now I want to remind you, although all once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who didn’t believe. {To rise into the aionion kolasis / eonian korrection / age of correction.} 6 And the angels who left their proper place, he has kept in aionion chains of darkness until the judgment {during} the great day— {“last great day” ..the “8th ‘day’”}.

     06/04 - GospeL Verses

1 - Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw the stone had been taken away from the tomb. [During Spring holy week, the third holy day, Firstfruits always followed the regular weekly Sabbath.] 2 So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved (John referred to himself this way) and said to them, “They’ve taken the Lord! And “we” don’t know where they’ve laid him.”

     3 So Peter went with the other disciple, and they were going toward the tomb. 4 Both of them running together, but the other disciple outran Peter, and reached the tomb first. 5 And stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he didn’t go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came and went into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and the face cloth, which had been on Jesus' head, not lying with the linen cloths but folded up in a place by itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed. 9 For as yet they didn’t understand the Scripture, that he would rise from the dead. 10 Then the two went back to their homes.

     11 But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had been, one at the head and one at the feet. 13 They said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said, “They have taken away my Lord, and I don’t know where they have lain him.” 14 Having said this, she turned around and saw Jesus, but she didn’t know it was him. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you seeking?” Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have lain him, and I’ll take him away.” 16 Jesus said, “Mary.” She turned and said to him in Aramaic,“Rabboni!” which means Teacher. 17 Jesus told her, “Don’t hang onto me, for I’ve not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I’m ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” 18 So she went to the disciples and announced, “I’ve seen the Lord!”—and told them what he had said to her.

    Mt.28:1 - Now after the Sabbath, toward dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and then sat upon it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4 And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. 5 But the angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid, for I know you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He’s not here. He has risen, as he said he would. Come in and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee. And you will see him there, just as I have now told you.” 8 So they went quickly from the tomb with awe and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they fell and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said, “Don’t be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”

9 - Do your best to come here soon.10 For Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica.

     Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. 11 Luke alone is with me. Bring with you, for he’s a good helper to for ministry. 12 I sent Tychicus to Ephesus. 13 When you come, bring the cloak I left with Carpus at Troas, also the books, and above all the parchments. 14 Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm, the Lord will render to him according to his deeds. 15 Beware of him yourself, for he strongly opposed our message.16 At my first defense no one came to stand by me, but all deserted me. May it not be charged against them! 17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And so I was rescued from the lion's mouth. 18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever! Amen.

19 Greet Priscilla and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus. [In his first letter, 1Tim.1:16, he wrote - “May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains.”] {Priscilla is now mentioned first.}

    20 Erastus stayed at Corinth, and I left Trophimus, who was ill, at Miletus. 21 Do your best to come before winter. Eubulus sends you greetings, as do Pudens and Linus and Claudia and all the brothers. 22 The Lord be with your spirit. And grace be with you.

1 - So I solemnly charge, before God and Christ, who will judge living and dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom, 2 proclaim the message! Be ready in season and out of season. Correct, admonish, and convince, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people won’t endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will gather to themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and they will turn away from listening to the truth and will wander off into fables. 5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your charge. 6 As for me, I am being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is near. 7 I’ve fought the good fight, I’ve finished the race, I’ve kept the faith. 8 From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness [dikaiksuné - righteousness, justice] {the crown of Life?} which the Lord, the just and righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all loving his appearing.

JOHN 19 28-42

 🍃🕊️reading & study 🕊️🍃

     06/02 - GospeL Verses

28 - At the last, Jesus, knowing all was then finished, fulfilling the Scripture, said “I thirst.” 29 A jar full of sour wine was there, so they put a sponge full of it on a hyssop branch and held it up to him. 30 When Jesus received the sour wine, he said, “It’s finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

     31 Since it was the day of Preparation (Passover prep for 1st Unleavened Bread Day and the feast) so the bodies wouldn’t remain upon the cross on the Sabbath - for that Sabbath (beginning at sunset, not midnight) - was a high Sabbath. So the Jews asked Pilate if their legs might be broken that they might be taken away (they would then quickly die). 32 So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the two crucified with him. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw he was already dead, they didn’t break his legs. 34 Yet one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water. 35 He who saw it (John) has borne witness—his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth—so you also may believe. 36 For these things took place, fulfilling the Scripture, “Not one of his bones will be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, “They will look upon he who they have pierced.”

     38 After this, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Hebrew/Jewish leaders, asked Pilate if he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took away his body, 39 with Nicodemus also, who earlier had come to Jesus by night. He came bringing a much mixture of myrrh and aloes. 40 So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews. 41 Nearby the place where he was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. 42 So because of the Jewish day of Preparation (a Sabbath/day of no work) since the tomb was close at hand, they laid him there.

8 - Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and not genuine regarding the faith. 9 But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of Jannes and Jambres who opposed Moses. 10 You, however, have followed my teaching, conduct, aim in life, faith, patience, love, and steadfastness. 11 Also my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra, persecutions I endured. Yet from them all, the Lord rescued me.12 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.13 While evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceived and deceiving. 14 But as for you, continue in what you’ve learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how from childhood you’ve been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is breathed out  (inspired) by God and profitable for teaching, for convincing, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 so the person of God may be complete and ready and able for every good work.

50 - When Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit, 51 right then, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and rocks split apart. 52 The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, 53 and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many. 54 When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over the crucifixion, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with wonder and said, “This truly was the Son of God!”

     55 There were also many women there, looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, who helped him with their resources, 56 among whom were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James (called lesser) and his brother Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee (John and James).

     57 And then when evening was soon beginning, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus. 58 He went to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. And then Pilate ordered it so. 59 And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen shroud 60 and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock. And he rolled a great stone over the entrance of the tomb and went away.  {They wanted him in the tomb by sunset, as sunset began the first Sabbath/no work day of Spring holy week, next Sabbath would be the regular weekly Sabbath, then last day of Unleavened Bread would be a Sabbath/no work day as well.} 61 Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, sitting nearby.
