1 Corinthians 4:7-13

10/31 From New Testament Letters

(In the Order Believed Written)

    By Necessity Paraphrased

7 - So what is so wonderful about you? What do any of us have that we didn’t receive? And if we received it, why would we boast as if we didn’t receive it?

8 Already you have attained all! Already you have become richly blessed! Without us you have become kings! And would that you did reign, so that we might share the reigning with you! 9 Sometimes I think God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, like we are ones sentenced to death, for we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to man. 10 We are fools for Jesus’ sake, but you are wise in Him. We are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute. 11 To this present hour we hunger and thirst, we are poorly dressed, we are beat about and homeless, 12 and we also labor, working with our own hands. When insulted, we bless, when persecuted, we endure, 13 when slandered, we encourage and comfort. We have become, and are still, like the garbage of the world, the refuse of all things.

[Jesus continues.] 28 -  “Learn a lesson of the fig tree, as soon as the branches become tender and puts out its leaves, you know soon it is summer. 29 So too, when you see these things I’ve told you taking place, know that your LORD is near, at the very gates. 30 Truly, I tell you, this generation/race [genea] will not pass away until all these things take place. 31 (This) Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

32 But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not the angels in heaven, nor even the Son, but only the Father. 33 So be on guard, and stay attentive. For you do not know when the time is coming. 34 It is like someone going on a journey, when leaving he puts his servants in charge, each with their work, and commands the gate keeper to stay awake. 35 Therefore stay attentive, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming - in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning - 36 lest he come suddenly and find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you I say to aLL. Stay awake and attentive.” (70 CE was a “day of the LORD” upon that nation - an earthly judgment, a ‘smaller scope’ fulfillment. But prophecy is a thing that tel-escopes to the ‘end’. Greek word “tel” which means the “end-aim” — to the full ‘end’. Another telescoping is from the Lord’s so brief first advent, to his full scope version, the long second advent.)

WeekLy BooK oF Acts 15 1-21

 By Necessity Slightly

       Paraphrased

            15:1-21

1 - Some came down from Judea and were teaching “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be a follower and disciple.” 2 And after Paul and Barnabas had been arguing and debating with them, Paul and Barnabas and some others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders to consult about the matter. 3 And being sent on their way by their fellow believers, they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, and were describing in detail the conversion of Gentiles, which was bringing great joy to all the believers there.

4 When they arrived at Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the believers, the apostles and the elders. And they told them all that God had been doing during their travels among Gentile cities. 5 But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, “It’s necessary they be circumcised, and ordered to keep all the law of Moses.”

6 So the apostles and elders gathered together to discuss the matter. 7 And after there had been much discussion, Peter stood up and said, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God had me preach to the Gentiles, so they would hear the word of the gospel and believe. 8 And God, who knows the heart, bore testimony by giving them his Holy Spirit (his Presence) just as he did to us. 9 He made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith.” (All hearts, Gentile and Hebrew have to experience catharsis and healing, be given to him, who is trustworthy, and as a bonus, he has our best blueprint.) [Israel had always been required to stay separate from other nations. In order to be swaddling cloths for Messiah, the “Savior of the world”.] 10 “So now, why should we put God to the test by putting a yoke upon the neck of disciples? A yoke neither our fathers nor we have been able to carry? 11 And now we know we are saved (and enabled) through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they are.”

12 And all the assembly fell silent, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they told about the signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles. 13 And after they finished speaking, James said, “Brothers, listen to me. 14 Simeon Peter also has related how God has visited the Gentiles, to take from them a people for his name.15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it’s written - 16 ‘After this I will return, and I will rebuild the tabernacle/tent of David that has fallen. I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it, 17 that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called, says the LORD 18 who makes these things known from of old.’   19 Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles/nations who turn to God, 20 but should write to them to abstain from the pollution of idols, from the sexual immorality. To abstain from what has been strangled (a practice to idols?) and from blood. 21 For from ancient times, Moses, is read in every city, in the synagogues on every Sabbath.” [The ten commandments are very societally preservative. The holy days and Sabbaths are a shadow cast by the genuine principle portrayed (and an outline of the advents of Christ. Spring and Fall, first and second, Lev.23.]

1 Corinthians 4:1-6

10/30 ~ From New Testament Letters

        (In the Order Believed Written)

           By Necessity Paraphrased

1 - How should one regard us teachers? As servants of Christ and keepers of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover, it’s required of stewards and keepers that they be found faithful. 3 It’s a small matter if I (Paul) should be judged by you, or by any human court. In fact, I don’t even judge myself. 4 For I’m not aware of anything against myself, but that doesn’t guarantee I’m acquitted - it’s the Lord who judges. 5 Therefore we should not pronounce judgments (division is the world’s voice) before the time - before the Lord comes! For HE will bring to light the hidden things of darkness (☠️ especially of the world) and will disclose the purposes of hearts. Then each one will receive their praise from God.

6 I have applied all these things to myself and Apollos for your learning, that you may benefit by our example, knowing not to go beyond what is written, that no one be puffed up, one against another. (Don’t see people as on levels, placing self on the highest level, lol. Nor sect against one another. We can find common ground without agreeing about all things. Truth is the only thing that stands tall and endures. It does not need us to make quarrels/war over it. Besides, prayer is vastly more superior and works upon us as well as ‘them’, makes things “straight”.)

1 Corinthians 3 16-23

10/29 ~ From New Testament Letters

        (In the Order Believed Written)

           By Necessity Paraphrased

16 - Do you not know you are God's temple and God's Spirit (Presence) dwells in you? 17 If anyone destroys [phtheirΓ³ - destroy, corrupt, spoil, ruin, the root pht literally means  - waste away, degenerate, moving down from a higher level, quality, status to a lower] God's temple [in context, with bad or misleading teaching. Or via Dn.12:11?] God will ruin them! (Imo, cause and effect.) For God's temple is holy [hagios - sacred] and you are that temple. (Each one of us, a stone of that temple.)

18 Let no one deceive theirself. If anyone among you thinks they are wise in this age, let them become a fool, so they may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is folly. For it’s written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness”. (And eviL doers, in their own traps? All in their own natural cause and effect.) 20 And again, it says “The Lord knows the thoughts of the ‘wise’, that they are futile [mataios - vain, empty, useless, groundless, not real].” 21 So let no one boast in man/men (and in the views of “the world”). For all things are yours, 22 whether  Paul or Apollos or Peter, or the world, or life or death, or the present, or the future, it all belongs to you, 23 and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.

(The satellites? Coincidental asteroids? Or? - Job 5:7 - “man is born to trouble as surely as - sparks fly upward” and fall back down?] The powers in the heavens, will be shaken. (Appearing so through earthquake?) 26 And then will be seen the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27 And he will send out the angels to gather together [episunagΓ³ - from epi - gather, and sunagΓ³ - together] his elect [eklektos - those selected] (by a lucky shake of the heavenly dice as “no one can come to me/Jesus, unless the Father draws them” Jn.6:44; and a powerful truth drama/things running their course, needs to have more than one role cast) (the angels gather the elect/followers/disciples) from the four winds, from all the ends of earth.” [Which begins his long second advent, of TWO millennia, a full scope version of his first so brief one.. until 1Cor.15:24-28, Rev.21:1-5 -> Is.11:7, Mic.4:4. 1 Corinthians 3 7-15

10/28 ~ From New Testament Letters

      (In the Order Believed Written)

          Paraphrased by Necessity

7 - So neither the person who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters are one, and each will receive wages according to their labor. 9 For we are God's fellow workers, and you are God's field, and building.

10 According to the grace of God given to me (Paul) like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation (there in Corinth) and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how they build upon it, 11 for no one can use a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus, the Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— 13 each one's work will become seen for what it is, for The Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. (The fire concurrent to when he “returns on a cloud” - at Mt.13:30 as Rev.16:13-16!) 14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, they will receive a reward. 15 If anyone's work is burned up, they will suffer loss, though they themself will be saved, but as if through fire.

1 Corinthians 3 1-6

10/27 ~ From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

         Paraphrased by Necessity

1 - But,  I (Paul) couldn’t address you as spiritual people, but as people still carnal, for you were infants in Christ. (They were baby believers.) 2 I fed you with milk, for you weren’t ready for solid food. And even now you’re not yet ready. 3 For while there’s jealousy, arguments and strife among you, are you not still carnal? Behaving only in the human way? 4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another says, “I follow Apollos,” are you not being merely human? (Not sacred/hagios translated holy.)

5 What then is Apollos? (A good teacher and preacher “knowledgeable in the scripture”.) What is Paul? We are only servants of the Lord, through whom you believed God’s message. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God is the one who gave and gives the growth.

But for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days. 21 And then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘Look, there he is!’ don’t believe it. 22 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to mislead, if possible, the elect. 23 So be on guard, for I have told you beforehand.”

                ~ 1 Corinthians 2:1-6 ~

1 - And I, when I (Paul) was with you, I didn’t tell the message of God with excellence of speech and lofty wisdom. 2 No, I knew nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 And I was with you in humility, respect, and even in weakness. 4 My words and my message were not in skillful [peithos - persuasive, enticing, skilful] words of wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit(/Presence of God) and of his power, 5 so your faith might not rest upon the ‘wisdom’ of man, but upon the power of God.

6 Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom. But it’s not wisdom of this world, nor of the leaders of this age and times, which is all passing away. (Truth is and does not change like the world which is in a progressing state of passing away. Life as we presently know it is dust to dust.. It is all disintegrating, the process of entropy. And it’s the spiritual process as well. Collective and individual. Self interest goes on the back burner. Paradoxically, we’re not in our best blueprint, but God has it, for he is faithful. Be a “whole burnt sacrifice”. Because it is this life that is the crucible. And “God is savior of all” 1Tim.4:10. But it’s an imperative message, truth. It is no light matter. It iS a complete matter of Life, or not life. So why entropy? Because God is Life, and he “is perfect”. Therefor the “wages/result of hamartia - missing the mark, is” the opposite of Life. The prize is enduring life. (And our best blueprint.) The way there is narrow. But when we are there - which requires Perfection - the way is way wide.

Where does the door of the ten bridesmaids parable really go? Mt.25:1-13

Rev.7:9,4; Ro.11:12; 1Cor.15:51; Mt.13:30 is Rev.16:13-16. Rev.20 is like describing the crests of waves and not much in between.) [And there are words that were changed through translation.]

There have been many ends of kingdoms, etc. And of course(?) there shall be a world collective conclusion.. “All the world’s a stage” Shakespeare. “And the ancient of days took his seat..” Dn.7)

11 And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, don’t worry beforehand what you should say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God, the Holy Ghost that has to fill all, what with being Life itself.) 12 And brother will deliver brother over to death, the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death. 13 And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. (Sure is good to know God/Love/Perfection/Life wins all. The Harmony will be great, and all will have genuine affection for all.)

[Ps.90:3, 5-7 (the ‘wrath’) — “You return man to dust and say, ‘Return, O children of man!’ ..5 You sweep them away as with a flood, they are like a dream, like grass that springs up in the morning, 6 in the morning it flourishes and is renewed, in the evening it fades and withers. 7 For we are brought to an end by your anger.      5 After this I looked, and the sanctuary of the tabernacle/tent of witness/testimony in the heavens was opened (this always makes me think of the split atom). 6 And out of the sanctuary came the seven angels with the seven (final) plagues, clothed in pure, bright linen, with golden sashes around their chests. 7 And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath (final results of “seven thunders”?) of God who lives forever and ever, 8 and the sanctuary was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the sanctuary until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed. [[TeleΓ³ - to bring to an end, complete, fulfill; from tΓ©los - consummation, completion, this root (tel-) means "reaching the end (aim)." It is well-illustrated with the old pirate's telescope, unfolding (extending out) one stage at a time to function at full-strength/ultimately full scope]] - (Examples, 70 CE, smaller scope, history’s consummation, full scope. Jesus’ first so brief advent, smaller scope, and long, second advent, full scope).

WeekLy BooK oF Acts 14 1-28

     A paraphrased study

1 - When they (Paul, Barnabas and others) arrived at Iconium they went to the Jewish/Hebrew synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed. 2 But the unbelieving stirred up the people to turn their minds against the brothers. 3 Yet they remained for a long while, speaking boldly for the Lord, who bore witness by granting signs and wonders be done by their hands. 4 But the people of the city were divided. Some sided with the unbelieving and some with the apostles. 5 When an attempt was made by both Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to mistreat them, even to stone them, 6 they heard of it and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the surrounding countryside, 7 and there they continued to preach the good news.

8 Now at Lystra there was a man sitting who could not use his feet. He had never walked, being crippled from birth, 9 and he was listening to Paul speak. And Paul, seeing him, and looking intently at him, could see he had faith to be made well. 10 So he said in a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet.” And the man sprang up and began walking. 11 And when the crowds saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in Lycaonian, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!”12 Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker.

13 And the priest of Zeus, whose temple was at the entrance to the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates and wanted to offer sacrifice to them. 14 But when Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their garments and rushed out into the crowd, crying out, 15 “Men, why are you doing this!? We are only men like you! We bring you good news! That you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them. 16 In past times he has allowed all nations to walk in their own way. 17 Yet he didn’t leave himself without witness. For he did good by giving rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.” 18 Even with these words they scarcely restrained the people from offering sacrifice to them.

19 But soon some came from Antioch and Iconium, and having persuaded the crowds, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead. (So quickly, from one extreme to the other! So easily swayed..) 20 But when the disciples gathered around him, he stood up and went back into the city. And on the next day, he and Barnabas went on to Derbe. 21 And when they had preached the gospel and made many disciples, they returned back through Lystra, Iconium and Antioch (of Pisidia), 22 strengthening the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God. 23 And when they had appointed elders in every group, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they were believing.

24 After that, they passed through Pisidia and came to Pamphylia. 25 And when they had spoken the message/logos in Perga, they went down to Attalia. 26 And from there they sailed to Antioch (of Syria) from where they had started, having been commended to the grace of God for the work they had been sent out to do. 27 And when they arrived, they gathered the believers together, and told all that God had done, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. 28 And they remained no little while there with the disciples.

19 - For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will frustrate the intelligence of the intelligent.” 20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 Since God knew the world would not know him through human wisdom, God was pleased through the foolishness [mΓ³ria - absurdity, foolishness, from moros, folly] of the proclamation to save those believing. 22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called (out) both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power and wisdom of God. (Christ works! He is “the seed” God plants in us.. and waters and feeds it to maturity. Consistently yielding to him - a ‘whole burnt sacrifice’ can’t hurt.) 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man [anthropos] and the weakness [asthenΓ©s - frailty, weakness] of God is stronger than man. Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Mark 13:1-8

1 - As he was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said, “Look, Teacher, what wonderful stones - and - what wonderful buildings!” 2 And Jesus said, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here - not even one - stone upon another that will not be thrown down.” (69/70 CE razing of Jerusalem, and? Daniel 12:11 mid 7 year treaty, then next verse, Dn.12:12 as trib duration? Last “ten days” (Rev.2:10) escalates to most perilous?)

3 A little later, as he was across the Kidron Valley from the temple, on Mount of Olives (an olive tree grove) Peter, Andrew, James, and John asked him privately, 4 “Tell us, when will that happen? What will be the sign, when it is about to happen?” 5 And Jesus told them, “See to it that no one leads you astray. 6 For many will come in my name saying I am he and lead many astray.” (A first line of attack against the Christian progress, is translation errors of some words in the scripture, then bam! second line of attack, distrust of the scriptures, including our New Testament/Contract of the Promise (of enduring life and its very necessary condition of the heart). The world of course denies the scripture, and slanders it. The Old Testament is trustworthy and good also. I think before the flood there was even cannibaalism (as I’ve come to think of it concerning the flood.. And the Canaanites, God also wanted out of the world, now they await resurrection during GWT judgment ‘day’ also called “aionion kolasin”/eonian korrection/age of correction. We know the Canaanites burned children alive to Baal, while beating drums to drown out the screams. These were during formative times. Self destruct inevitable? But SO early on? God also gets grief for noT stopping great evils. If Israel had not been warriors, they’d have been chewed up and spit out, so much for being swaddling cloths for Messiah/Savior of the world. Had there been no option to stray in Eden, creation would be an ant farm. Trust God. Trust the Scriptures. ..Though the translators.. well, aionion kolasin became neverending punishment/torment😳. Five words became hell. “All” became “all things” whenever it would work. In Rev.21:5, Eph.1:10.. and more. But not in “all scripture for training” because it won’t work. Or in 1Cor.15:28 “so that God will be all in all” - Greek word “pas” - “every, all, the whole”. )

7 And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don’t be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet. 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are but the beginning of birth pangs. (For birthing the Lord’s long second advent.. And then the full kingdom of God.)

        WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

                paraphrased study

14 - Then I (John) looked, and I saw a - white - cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like the Son of man with a crown of gold on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, and the harvest is ripe.” 16 So he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and it was reaped.

17 Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18 Then I saw another angel who came out from the altar, an angel who has authority over fire. And he cried out with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, telling him “Put in your sickle! And gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. (Amageddon. Surely? Fiery, Is.24:20, the last of “seven thunders”?) 20 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood” (oil?) flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse's bridle, for 1,600 stadia.

[Note also a/the grape harvest that is “after the thousand years” and after GWT judgment ‘day’. This is revealed in 1Cor.15:22-24,28 wiTh Mt.13:33, key word 3, three harvests listed (it’s very obvious - barley, wheat and grape harvests) - the verses:

Matthew 13:33 - “The kingdom is like a woman working leaven into three batches of meal/three loaves, until the whole is leavened.”

 — 1 Corinthians 15:22-28 - “As in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in their own order: (1)Christ the firstfruits (barley) then (2)at his coming (the wheat) those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end (overflowing grape harvest) (3)when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying - every rule, and every authority, and power. 25 For Christ must reign until he has put all enemies under him. [“Whoever is friends with the world is an enemy of God” (at enmity with) James 4:4.] 26 The last enemy to be abolished [katargeΓ³ - to render inoperative, abolish] is death. 27 For “God has put all [pas - every, the whole, all] under him.” But when it says, “all are put under him,” it is plain that he is excepted who put (“the”) all under him. 28 And then when all are (truly, manifestly and literally/spiritually) under him, then the Son will openly submit himself to he who put all under him [hypotΓ‘ssō - from hypΓ³ - under, and tΓ‘ssō - arranged] that God may be all in all.  [All the all’s are from the Greek word pas - all, all were translated “all things” except - so that God will be all in all, as it wouldn’t sound right to say “that God may be all things in all things”.]

—> ONE - Christ/Messiah, “forever preeminent”, TWO - the “wheat at his return” and THREE - the grape harvest at “the end when Christ hands all, with aLL things subdued, to the Father” that “God may be all in all” Vs.24-28.] (Creation and humanity sealed and saturated with God’s Spirit/Presence age to age to age. God “is Perfect” - the best ‘end’ result is the only one possible. Had there been no option to stray in Eden, creation would have to be an ant farm. And if things are not allowed to run their course, what exactly would be the point? Mt.13:30 is, surely? Rev.16:13-16.)

35 - As Jesus was teaching in the temple, he said, “How can the scribes say that Messiah (Greek Christ) is the son of David? 36 When David, in the Holy Spirit, said, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet.’ 37 How can David call him Lord if he’s his son?” And the people were gladly listening to him.

38 And he said, “Be wary of the scribes. They like to walk around in long robes, be greeted in the marketplaces, 39 and have the best seats in the synagogues, and the places of honor at feasts, 40 yet they devour widows' houses, and as a pretense make long prayers. They will receive the greater condemnation.”

41 Afterwards, he sat down opposite the treasury and was watching the people put money in the offering box. Many wealthy people put in large sums. 42 But then a poor widow came in who put in two small copper coins. 43 So he called his disciples to him and said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more money than anyone else. 44 For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.”

11 See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand. (Paul had developed an eye and sight problem or infection.) 12 It is those who want to show themselves off as making a good show who would force you to be circumcised. And this is only in order that they won’t be criticized for the cross of Christ. (Hebrew believers wanting friendship and approval from the world of their day and place.) 13 For even those who are circumcised don’t themselves keep the law, but they want to have you circumcised that they may boast in you. (Believers can be misled by wanting followers of theirselves.) 14 But I don’t want to boast in anything, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus, the Christ (christos - anointed one). By him I have been crucified to the world, and the world has been crucified to me. 15 For circumcision doesn’t matter, whether you are circumcised or not circumcised. What matters is being a new creation.16 And for all who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel (household) of God. 17 And from now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of serving Jesus.

WeekLy BooK oF Acts 13 43-52

 A paraphrased study

43 - After Sabbath meeting at the synagogue broke up, many Hebrews/Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas to hear more, so they talked more with them, and then urged them to continue in the grace of God.

44 The next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the message of the LORD. 45 But when the leaders saw the crowds, they were filled with envy, so they began to contradict whatever was spoken by Paul, and they were insulting him. 46 But Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first. But since you leaders sneer at and thrust it aside, judging yourselves as unworthy of enduring life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles! 47 For so the LORD has commanded us. For HE said, ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles/nations, that you may bring salvation to the ends of earth.’”

48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying in the message of the LORD, and those appointed [tassΓ³ - drawn up in order, arranged, appointed] (assigned the {early} role of?) enduring life, believed. 49 And the message of the LORD was spreading throughout the whole region. 50 But the leaders - incited - the devout women of high standing and the leading men of the (non-Jewish) city. And stirred up a persecution [diΓ³gmos - literally - the hunt to bring someone down, trying to suppress/punish their convictions; hostility] against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district. 51 So they shook the dust of that city from off their feet and went on to Iconium. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God).

45 And in the hearing of all the people he said to his disciples, 46 “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk around in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces, and to have the best seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at feasts. 47 But who devour widows' houses, and for a show and pretense, they make lengthy prayers. They shall receive a sterner judgment.”

1 - Brethren, if someone is caught in a transgression, you who are spiritual should restore them in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch upon yourself! Lest you be tempted as well. 2 Carry one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks they are someone, they deceive theirself.

4 Let each one test their own work, for then you will have the satisfaction of a job well done and won’t need to compare yourself to another. 5 Everyone has a burden to bear, that is theirs.

6 Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches. 7 Don’t be deceived, God is not mocked. [MuktΓ©rizΓ³ - sneered at, turned up the nose at, contemptuously rejected.😳] (“All the world is a stage” - Shakespeare.) Whatever one sows, that is what they will reap. 8 For the one who sows to their carnal, selfish and self first nature, will reap corruption [phthora - destruction, decay, decomposition] (things fall apart). But the one who sows to the Spirit, from the Spirit they will reap a harvest of enduring life.

28 - And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing about resurrection with one another, and hearing how Jesus had answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the most important one?” 29 And Jesus answered him, “The most important one is, ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God is one.” (Very important in the ancient time of plural gods, the time of “the gods”. That God was not one of the plural ‘gods’.) 30 “And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul [psyche], with all your mind, and with all your strength.’” (With all our very being.) 31 “The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” 32 And the scribe said to him, “You are right, Teacher. You have truly said that he is one, and there is no other besides him. 33 And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” (Those too to appease the human conscience. We know we’re flawed. When we mess up we know it. And we will, unless a psychopath, sabotage and punish ourselves, perhaps sneakily like a monster coming out from hiding under the bed.) 34 And when Jesus saw that the scribe answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” After that no one dared to ask him any more questions.

(From inordinate desires/“missing the mark” - hamartia, translated sin, which sort of misses the mark?)

     25 If we live by the Spirit, let us daily walk in the Spirit. 26 Not becoming conceited and boastful, provoking one another, envying one another. {Considering oneself as superior.. condescension, division, rudeness is in no way a fruit of God’s Spirit/Presence (with us)..}

Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Luke 20:27-40

27 - There also came to Jesus some Sadducees, who deny there is a resurrection. (And deny also spirits/souls or angels, so were total materialists, the other extreme of human inherent immortality, aka immortal soul/greek psyche - we have a psyche but “there is only One who is immortal”. Enduring life is through the Son into reconciliation with the Father/Life who “is Perfect” and Incorrupt. Full union at one of two vivifications, will mean no more entropy/slow gehenna fade/crucible. Vivification either at Mt.13:30 as Rev.16:13-16; oR at Rev.21:5 when “death dies”.) 28 And they asked him a question, saying, “Teacher, Moses gave us a law that if a man dies, leaving a wife but no children, his brother should marry the widow and have a child who will carry on the brother’s name. 29 Now there were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died without children. 30 And the second, 31 and the third wed her, and likewise all seven left no children and died. 32 Afterward the woman also died. 33 In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife will she be? For the seven had her as wife.”

34 And Jesus said to them, “The sons and daughters of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35 But those who are considered worthy to share in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, 36 for they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons and daughters of God, and of the resurrection. 37 But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed, in the passage about the bush, where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. 38 Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for all live to him.” 39 Then some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, you have spoken well.” 40 For they no longer dared to ask him any question. [Rev.20:5 - “This is the first resurrection. The rest of the dead do not come back-to-life until the thousand years are ended.”]

16 - So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t gratify the lower desires.17 For the desires of the flesh/carnality are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against carnality, for these are opposed to each other, so we cannot do what the lower nature may want. 18 But if we are “led by” the Spirit (of God), we do not need to be “under” the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I have before, that those who do such things are not able to inherit/enter the kingdom of God. (While in that state.)

In that case the offense of the cross has been removed. 12 I wish those who unsettle you would go all the way and emasculate theirselves!

13 For you were called to freedom. Only don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the selfish nature and transgression, but through love serve one another. 14 BECAUSE the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another!

        WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

                paraphrased study

8 - Then I (John) saw a second angel following the first across the sky, crying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She who has given all nations to drink the wine of her passionate immorality and corruption.”

9 And another angel, a third, followed, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on their forehead or hand, 10 they also will drink the cup of the wine of God's wrath (consequences, Obadiah 1:15, Ps.90:3,5-7) poured undiluted. (Things are being allowed to run their full course. Otherwise why bother?) And they will be tormented with fire and sulfur (EARTHLY event) before the holy angels and the Lamb. (“All the world is a stage” Shakespeare.) 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. (There’s a “palin/again-genesis”, so that must be the smoke of the torment/destruction “rising age to age” in the memories and record of all things.) And they have no rest, day or night, those worshipping the beast (many headed geopolitical) and its image. And who receive the mark [charagma - a stamp, impress, originally an impress on a coin or a seal, later an identification marker, owner's unique brand-mark) of its name.”

12 Here is a call for the endurance (Dn.12:11-12 w/ Lk.19:41,44 and 1Cor.3:16, escalating? Rev.2:10) of his people, all those who keep the instructions of God and their faith in Jesus. 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” (Straightaway.) (“Seven thunders” as Is.24:20?)

Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Luke 20:14-19

14 - “But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Let’s kill him, so the inheritance will be ours.’ 15 And they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do? 16 He will evict and make war with those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” When they heard this, knowing his meaning, they said, “Surely not!” 17 But looking directly at them he said, “What then is this that’s written? ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the main cornerstone’? (And building block?) 18 Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken, but when it falls on someone, it crushes them.” (Separating the wheat, the grain kernal, from the chaff. Truth - is the “iron rod”/the unable to be broken measuring rod.)

19 The scribes and the chief priests (leaders, authorities) sought to lay hands on him at that very hour. For they knew he had told this parable against them, but they feared the people. (And the parable was fulfilled in 70 CE. If God is denied/rejected, it’s a natural consequence that his shield against the adversary’s hate and rage will fade? They await resurrection into “aionion kolasin”/eonian korrection/age of correction, Mt.25:46.)

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                ~ Galatians 5:1-8 ~

1 - For freedom and liberty Christ has set us free! Stand firm therefore! And do not submit to a yoke of slavery. 2 Look: I, Paul, say to you, that if you accept circumcision (as a requirement to be in a relationship/communion and union with God who is Life) Christ will not profit you. (We cannot both earn and receive a GIFT.) 3 I testify again to every one who accepts circumcision that they are obligated to keep the whole law. (False teachers were insisting the “New Way” had to include the “Old Way” - the Old, and New, “covenants/agreements; first one needed a mediator/lawyer because two sides were agreeing; new way didn’t need one because it’s basically one sided”. Yet! We DO have to “ENTER his Rest”! Heb.4) 4 You are severed from Christ, if you want to be justified by the law. And you are fallen from grace. 5 For through the Spirit - by faith - we are eagerly waiting for the hope [elpis - expectation!] of righteousness. (And perfection! “We shall be like Him” 1Jn.3:2 but each one unique. Which God in Malachi 3:17 calls jewels.) 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything. (Doesn’t work, was always meant as a guardian and tutor - keeping things together, not dissolute/cursed - until the maturity of Christ in us and we in him. Not outer effort to transformation, but true inner transformation authored and carried out by God.) But only by faith, working through love.

7 You were running well. Who hasss hindered you from obeying the truth? 8 This persuasion is not from he who calls you. [The letter to the Galatians is all about the New Covenant/Contract of God, which Paul called the New and Living Way - Heb.10:20, “opened for us by Jesus”.] (The adversary will use every extreme. Do not be disarmed of our sWord, but assemble and put on the full armor of God.)

Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Luke 20:1-13

1 - As Jesus was teaching the people in the temple and proclaiming the good news [euaggelΓzō - from eΓΊ - good, well, and angellō - announce, herald(ing) the good message] the chief priests, scribes and some elders (leaders, authorities) came up 2 and said to him, “Tell us by what authority are you doing these things, or who it is that gave you this authority!” (To teach, and turn over the seller’s tables.) 3 He answered them, “I’ll ask you a question. Tell me, 4 was the baptism of John from heaven or from man?” 5 So they discussed it with one another, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he’ll say, ‘Why did you not believe him?’ 6 But if we say, ‘From man,’ the people will stone us, for they are convinced John was a prophet.” 7 So they answered that they didn’t know where it came from. 8 And Jesus said, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

9 And he began to tell the people a parable, “A man planted a vineyard and he let it out to tenants and then he went into another country for quite a while.10 When harvest came, he sent a servant (worker) to the tenants, so they would give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 11 And he sent another, but they also beat and treated him shamefully, and also sent him away empty-handed. 12 And he sent yet a third. This one also they beat and cast out. 13 Then the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son, perhaps they will respect him.’”

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                ~ Galatians 4:21-31 ~

21 - Tell me (Paul) - you who desire to be under the law, do you listen to the law? 22 For it’s written Abraham had two sons, one by a slave woman and one by a free woman. (On in years Sarah insisted, due to lack of faith.) 23 But the son of the slave was born according to the flesh/natural, while the son of the free woman was born through a promise. (Which started in Eden, which all peoples took memories, and a version of, from the dispersion from First Tower/Babel Tower. And God promised a son to Abraham, but now they were elderly.) 24 Now this may be interpreted allegorically (though it is still literal) these women are two covenants/contracts/agreements/treaties. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children in slavery, she is Hagar. 25 Now Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia (from where the society preservative laws were given) and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children. (Held in bondage, a slave condition, because imperfect cannot ever make itself perfect.) 26 But the Jerusalem above is free! And it is she who is our mother! 27 For it’s written, “Rejoice, O barren one who has not borne, break forth and cry aloud, you who are not in labor! For the children of the desolate one will be more than those of the other.”

28 Now you, like Isaac, are children of the promise. 29 But just as at that time he who was born according to the flesh/natural persecuted the one who was born according to the Spirit. So also it is now. 30 But what does the Scripture say? “Cast out the slave woman/covenant and her offspring, for the son (covenant) of the slave woman shall not (cannot) inherit with the son (Jesus) of the free woman.” 31 So, we are not of the slave woman (covenant) but of the free woman! (Covenant oF promise; a gift, “received by faith/believing and thus following. Our “communion” and filling “is with the Father and the Son - so close both administer God’s Spirit/Presence. And “God is Love”. And “love works no ill” and also, “never fails” 1Cor.13. 1Jn.4:8.)

Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Mark 12:12-27

12 - And they (leaders, authorities) were seeking to arrest him, but they feared the people. They knew he had told the parable against them, so they left him and went away. 13 But they sent to him some Pharisees and Herodians, to trap him in his talk, 14 who came and said to him, “Teacher, we know that you are true and don’t care about any man’s opinion (politics). For you’re not swayed by appearances, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar? Or not? Should we pay them, or should we not?” 15 But, knowing their hypocrisy. (It was a death sentence to deny Caesar.) He said to them, “Why put me to the test? Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.”16 And they brought one. And he said, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said to him, “Caesar's.” 17 So Jesus said, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” And they marveled at his answer.

18 And some Sadducees came, who say there is no resurrection. And they asked him a question, saying,19 “Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife, but leaves no child, the man should take the widow and raise up offspring for his brother. (If she wanted.) 20 There were seven brothers and the first took a wife, and when he died left no child. 21 And the second took her, and died, also leaving no offspring. And the third likewise. 22 And also with all seven, and left no child. Last of all the woman also died. 23 In the resurrection, when they rise again, whose wife will she be? For the seven had her as a wife.”

24 Jesus said to them, “Is it not the reason you are very wrong? Because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. 25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither wed nor are - given - in marriage, but are like the angels in heaven. 26 And as for the dead being raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? 27 He is not God of the dead, but of the living. You greatly err.” (Jesus said elsewhere, “All those” (asleep) “in the tombs/graves will hear God’s voice and will come forth. Some into the resurrection of life (into THE millennium, to serve called reigning.. for to do His works is surely to reign.. crown of Life, not metal). And some into the resurrection of (the GWT) judgment” ‘day’ (Jn.5:28-29) which elsewhere He calls agelasting correction [“kolasin aionion” oR “korrection eonian”] Mt.25:46, the completing of drawing all! JN.12:42. Outlined in the ancient Fall holy days of Lev.23: Trumpets (of Rev. & return) 10days/1000yrs later, the fiery final defeat of Satan, then — Day of Atonement, 5days/500yrs later — Tabernacles! “God will tabernacle with mankind, behold! I make all [pas - all, every, the whole] new!” Via the fiery regeneration, greek word “palin/again-genesis”. Which is how death dies.

8 - Before, when you didn’t know God, you were submitted to and in bondage to those that by nature are not gods. 9 But now that you have come to know God, or rather - to be known by Him, how can you turn back to weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more? [They were listening to false teachers.] 10 You (consider as demanded/required/mandatory to) observe days and months, seasons and years! 11 I’m afraid I may have labored over you in vain. 12 So I entreat you, become as I am, for I also have become as you (gentiles) are. You did me no wrong. 13 You know it was because of a bodily ailment that I preached the gospel to you at first,14 and though my condition was a trial to you, you didn’t scorn or despise me, but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus himself. 15 What then has become of your blessedness? For I testify that, if possible, you would have gouged out your own eyes and given them to me. 16 Have I then become your enemy by telling you the truth? 17 They make much of you, but for no good purpose. They want to shut you out, that you may make much of them. 18 It is always good to be made much of for a good purpose, and not only when I am present with you, 19 my little children, for whom I am again in the anguish of childbirth until Christ is formed in you! 20 I wish I could be present with you now and change my tone, for I am perplexed about you!

WeekLy BooK oF Acts 13 1-42

 A paraphrased study

       ~~ 13:1-42 ~~

1 - Now there were in the church at Antioch prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a lifelong friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.

4 And so, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia. And from there they sailed to Cyprus, 5 and when they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Hebrew/Jewish synagogues. And they had John Mark as an assistant. 6 When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they came upon a certain magician, a Jewish false prophet named Bar-Jesus. 7 He was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, a man of intelligence, who summoned Barnabas and Saul in order to hear the word of God. 8 But Elymas the magician, for that is the meaning of his name, opposed them, seeking to Keep the proconsul away from the faith. 9 But Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit/Presence of God) looked intently at him 10 and said, “You son of the devil! And enemy of all righteousness, full of deceit and villainy, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord? 11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and unable to see the sun for a time.” Immediately mist and darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking someone to lead him by the hand. 12 Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had occurred. For he was astonished at the teaching of the Lord.

13 Then Paul and his companions set sail from Paphos and came to Perga in Pamphylia. But John Mark left them and returned to Jerusalem. 14 But Paul and Barnabas, and companions, went on from Perga and came to Antioch in Pisidia. And on the Sabbath day they went into the synagogue and sat down. 15 Then after the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent word to them, saying, “Brothers, if you have any word of encouragement for the people, please say it.” 16 So Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said, “Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen. 17 The God of this people Israel chose our fathers and made the people great during their stay in the land of Egypt. And then with uplifted arm he led them out Egypt. 18 And for about forty years he put up with them in the wilderness. 19 And after destroying seven (very wicked and heartlessly cruel) nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them their land as an inheritance. 20 All this took about 450 years. And after that he gave them judges until Samuel the prophet. 21 Then they asked for a king, and God gave them Saul the son of Kish, of the tribe of Benjamin, and he ruled for forty years. 22 And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, ‘I have found in David, the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who will do all my will.’ 23 And now of this man's descendants God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus, as he promised (so long ago, in Eden and afterwards).

24 Before the savior’s coming, John had proclaimed a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. 25 And as John was finishing his course, he said, ‘What do you suppose I am? I am not he. No, for behold, after me one is coming, the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.’

26 Dear sons and daughters of the family of Abraham, and all those among you who revere God, to us has been sent the message of this salvation! 27 For those who live in Jerusalem and their rulers, because they didn’t recognize him nor understand the utterances of the prophets, which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled the scripture by condemning him. 28 And though they found in him no guilt worthy of death, they asked Pilate to have him executed. 29 And when they had carried out all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb. 30 But God raised him from the dead, 31 and for many days he appeared to those who had come up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses to the people. 32 And we bring you the good news that what God promised to the fathers, 33 this he has fulfilled to us, their children, by raising Jesus, as also it is written in the second Psalm, ‘You are my Son, today I have brought you forth.’

34 And as for the fact, that he raised him from the dead, no more to see corruption/death, he has spoken in this way, ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’ 35 Therefore he says also in another psalm, ‘You will not let your Holy One see corruption.’ 36 For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was laid with his fathers and saw corruption, 37 but he, whom God raised up, did not see corruption. 38 Let it be known to you therefore, brethren, that through this man, forgiveness of sins [hamartia - missing the mark] is proclaimed to you, 39 and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which no one can be freed by the law of Moses. 40 Beware, however, lest what is said in the Prophets should come about, 41 ‘Look, you scoffers, be astounded and come to ruin, for I am doing a work in your days, a work that you will not believe, even if one tells it to you.’”

42 And as they were leaving, the people asked that these things might be told to them on the next Sabbath.

Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Mark 12:1-11

(This parable is about the high Seraphim who was a “covering angel over Eden”. And other covering angels joined him. Of course God knew! Waited so long.. This is an unavoidable journey! We’re all in the same boat, and going to the same place, Rev.21:1-5, 2Pet.3:12-13, JN.12:32. “The lion will (once again) eat straw like the ox, and the bear will graze with the cow” Isaiah 11:7.)

1 - Jesus began to speak to them in parables. He said, “A man planted a vineyard. And he put a fence around it, and he dug a pit for the winepress and built a tower. Then he leased it to tenants and went off to another country. 2 When the season came round, he sent a worker to the tenants to get from them some of the fruit of the vineyard. 3 But they took the worker, and they beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 4 A little later he sent another worker, and they hit him over the head and treated him shamefully. 5 And he sent another, who they killed! And so with many others, some they beat, and some they killed. 6 Then he had still one other, a beloved son. And finally he sent him, thinking to himself, ‘They will respect my son.’ 7 But those (evil) tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ 8 And they took him and killed him and threw him out of the vineyard. 9 What will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the tenants and give the vineyard to others. 10 Have you not read this Scripture, ‘The stone [Christ] the builders rejected is THE chief stone (of humanity and creation) 11 this is the Lord's doing, and it’s marvelous in our eyes’!?”

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                ~ Galatians 4:1-7 ~

(Speaking of us - ) verse 1 - What I (Paul) mean, is that the heir, as long as they are a child, is no different from a worker or servant, though they are the owner of everything! 2 But they are under guardians and managers until the date set by their father. 3 In the same way we also, when we were children, were held in bondage to the basic principles of the world. 4 But when the fullness of time came, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, and born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were held under by the law. (Truth an iron/unbreakable measuring rod. Imperfection/“missing the mark” is the opposite of Life, because God iS life, and he “is perfect” Mt.5:48. And imperfect is a held in bondage to it condition.) This is all so that we might receive adoption as sons, daughters and heirs (to Life). 6 And because we are his heirs, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Father! My Father!” 7 So you are no longer a servant, but a son or daughter, and if a son or daughter, then an heir through God. (“We shall be like Jesus” 1Jn.3:2. Which God calls his jewels, Malachi 3:17.)
