GospeL Verses ~ John 19:23-27

23 - When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his clothes and divided them into four parts, one part for each soldier. But the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom, 24 so they said, “Let’s not tear it, but let’s cast lots for it to see who shall have it.” This fulfilled the Scripture which says, “They divided my clothing among them, and for my garments they cast lots.”

25 Jesus’ mother and her sister, and Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene, were standing by the cross of Jesus. 26 And when he saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby (John referred to himself this way) he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”27 And then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his home.

                ~ 2 Timothy 2:22-3:7 ~

22 - So flee youthful passions! (Timothy is young.) Instead pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, among those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 23 Have nothing to do with foolish [móros - dull, stupid, foolish] and ignorant [apaideutos - uninstructed, showing a want of training or education, ignorant, untrained] controversies [zétésis - speculation, meaningless questioning]. For you know the fruit of such is quarrels. 24 And the Lord's worker must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone. And able to teach, patiently forbearing, 25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. That God may grant them repentance unto knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses, escaping the snare of the devil, after being beguiled by him to do his will.

3:1 - But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud and arrogant, abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful and unholy, 3 lacking heart, unreasonable, slanderous, without self-control, fierce, not a friend of what is good, 4 traitorous, reckless, haughty, seekers-of-pleasure [philédonos - from philos - friendly, and hédoné - strong (neg) appetite] rather than lovers of God, 5 having an appearance [morphósis - a forming, semblance] of godliness [sacredness, veneration, homage] but denying the power [dýnamis]. Avoid such. 6 For among them are those who stealthily enter households and take captive weak women (drama queens?) missing the mark and led astray by various passions (excitements?) 7 ever seeking but not able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. (Rev.14:4? An ancient belief revived?)

                paraphrased study

1 - I (John) was watching as the Lamb (who seemed to have been slain) opened one of the seven seals on the scroll (which is the vision). Then I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2 And behold, a white horse! And it came forth conquering and to conquer. Its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him.  (I think Jesus went from ascension to Revelation chapter five. And opening the seal, out rode forth into the new age - into the years of our Lord A.D. - the gospel, for a time openly victorious over powers and principalities ..and in response) 3 When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4 And out came another horse, bright red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth (war, Ps.2) so that people should slay one another, and it was given a great sword. (The seals are described, at the beginning of the vision, as their full and entire effects, first to last. The horsemen’s rides continue throughout the age. …War, was given a great [megas - large, great, (and) in the widest sense; word commentary included - “mass and weight, compass and extent”] sword. (I think the great sword is seal 6.)

GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 27:39-49

39 - And those who were passing by were deriding him, wagging their heads 40 and saying, “You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days! Save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from there!” 41 The leaders, the chief priests, scribes and elders, were mocking him too, saying, 42 “He saved others. But he cannot save himself! He is King of Israel, let him come down from the cross, and we’ll believe in him. 43 He trusts in God, let God deliver him now! For he said, ‘I am the Son of God!’” 44 And the robbers who were crucified with him also insulted and mocked him.

45 Then, from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. 46 And at about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” 47 And some that were there, hearing it, said, “This man is calling for Elijah.” 48 And one of them at once ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine [óksos – low-grade, sour wine, given as a cheap painkiller to people condemned to crucifixion]

and lifting it up on a reed gave it to him to drink. 49 But the others said, “Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come.”

16 - Avoid empty babble, for it will only lead to ungodliness, 17 and the babbling will spread like gangrene. Among such is Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18 who have swerved away from the truth, saying the resurrection has already occurred. They are upsetting the faith of some. 19 But, the sure foundation of God stands firm - bearing this seal - “the Lord knows those who are his” and “let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity [adikia - injustice, unrighteousness].”

20 Now in a great house there aren’t only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for not as honorable. 21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses theirself from what is dishonorable, they will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart and useful for the master of the house, and ready for every good work.

GospeL Verses ~ John 19:14-22

14 - It was the day of Preparation of the Passover (called “Passover”. The meal would be after sunset on “First Day of Unleavened Bread”). It was about the sixth hour (this would be noon, but Mark says it was at the third hour, which would be nine which agrees with the land being dark from noon, while Jesus was on the cross, until three when Jesus died, as written by Matthew and Mark) and Pilate said to the Jews, “Behold your King!”  (Nine was the hour of the daily morning sacrifice.) 15 They cried out, “Away with him! Crucify him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The leaders/chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar!” 16 So Pilate delivered him over to to be crucified and they led Jesus, 17 carrying his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha. (Likely Simon the Cyrene was drafted to carry the cross part way as Jesus had been both flogged and beaten.) 18 There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side of Jesus. 19 Pilate wrote an inscription and put it on the cross, which read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.” 20 Some of the leaders read this inscription - for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city  (but “outside the city”) and it was written in Aramaic, Latin, and Greek. 21 So the Hebrew/Jewish leaders said to Pilate, “Don’t write, ‘King of the Jews’! But that ‘This man said, I am King of the Jews.’” 22 Pilate answered, “What I’ve written I’ve written.”

                  ~ 2 Timothy 2:7-15 ~

7 - Think over what I say, Timothy, for the Lord will give you understanding of all things. 8 Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descendent of David (as prophesied) which is what I preach in my message, 9 for which preaching I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not in chains! 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the safety that is in Christ Jesus with its eternal glory. 11 The saying is trustworthy, for - If we have died with him, we will also live with him. 12 If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us. 13 If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny his own nature. 14 Remind them of these things, and charge them before God not to quarrel about words! Which does no good, but only turns away the hearers. 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as genuine, as a worker who has no need to be ashamed, but who is rightly handling the word of truth.

  a paraphrased study

42 - And they (the first, earliest believers, after they received the promise of the Father, the baptism of his Holy Spirit/Presence) devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship of breaking bread together and of prayers. 43 Awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and they held all things in common. 45 They were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. (This is not communism which is everything said to be common but all held by the state/human government.) 46 Every day they were continuing steadfastly in the temple breaking bread together in their homes, partaking and sharing of food with gladness and sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and finding favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number each day those who were being saved.

The Millennium

A question I’ve had for a while concerns “the” millennium. Perhaps there iS a sort of laisez faire gospel where the message is you’re saved, it’s a gift.. Just do your best to treat your fellow person fairly. They kind of follow at a distance. But there’s another crowd that for them it’s God or nothing. Truth or nothing. Impelled to seek, ask, knock. And, or, is it that we all go through the two stages?

So then comes that last trumpet’s sounding. And we have the parable of the ten bridesmaids, five run low on oil for the lamps for joining in the bright procession.. Which procession goes in to the wedding reception, the union reception, the union banquet. And the door is shut and bolted. It’s not a door shut to forever life. It’s the door to the wedding reception. The resurrection and catching away is the uniting, the wedding. It’s bright, it’s radiant. We need enough oil in our lamps to stay in the Light, the radiance. Yes? (Like in dreams, we are dual characters, both the bride and the bridesmaids, one of God’s ways of riddling, whereby he hides truth in plain sight.)

My question is one of degrees, I guess. We have to “know Jesus” - that’s the light, yes? The oil. If we’re going to advise others, what distance is the safe distance from which to follow after the Lord? Remember, he does return “in fire” (and with his angels). The parable of the wheat and tares is obviously his returning during man’s armageddon fire. Revelation chapter 16, verses, thirteen through sixteen, the gathering to armageddon having gathered. So one gathering is preferable to the other? As a believer, the first resurrection superior to the second.

The other side of the coin, I guess, is degrees - during - the millennium. I simply cannot believe in any instantaneous transformation. So do the degrees before the catching away carry over into the millennium? ..I’m very inclined to believe they do. That they must. There’s a few who think God wipes the slate, the memory completely clean as to this life. But what logic is there to that? This has been God’s program, creation process, from the beginning. It’s not ‘oh my something went wrong, now to rescue and wipe the memories of it out.. Contraire! The armageddon “smoke of it shall rise forever and ever..” And just how does it rise forever when ultimately there’s a total, universal regenesis? The “regeneration” greek word “palin/again-genesis” palingenesis. A regenesis, a “furious burning of elements”, the total gehenna fast forwarded.

As opposed to this slow motion gehenna that is life as we presently know it, the crucible, laver and sieve, that continues until one of two vivifications. The first being at Jesus’ return. The second being after GWT judgment ‘day’, at the made new/new heavens and earth event, the palingenesis, the New Genesis!

Will there be studying and learning during “the” millennium (that precedes GWT ‘day’).. The intellect having been made new, but still at its own learning stage?

We know there is Jerusalem during the millennium, as there comes to be a gathering against her after the adversary (&co) are released from stewing in his/their own darkness “after the thousand years”/after the millennium, the Sabbath rest from the adversary’s presence.

Which in turn proves there are mortal survivors of the apocalypse, for where do the ones he gathers against the millennial Jerusalem come from?

As we know fire consumes them. This is where a second mention of a fiery lake occurs (first one is at armageddon). It’s only after this that the resurrection of all those that are dead occurs.

But before all that, are we believers students during the millennium? And in a sort of internship? ..As preparation to rather intense service during GWT judgment ‘day’? Service called reigning, for we will be doing his works during this long day of all things progressing to closure, and of course, the completing of Jesus “drawing all to himself” Jn.12:32. The wearing of crowns of Life, not metal.

The parable of Lazarus and the rich man - portraying INITIAL - inner - conditions of some during GWT judgment ‘day’ ..Which is an “8th day” the “last great day” at the conclusion of which God says “Behold! I make aLL new!” Greek pas, all. Not all things.. though that’s true too lol (Rev.21:5). And since Rev.22 follows the total, universal ReGenesis, by which death dies, some of its narrative is obviously spoken outside of the revelation vision - also portraying INITIAL conditions of some during that last great day of completing all discernment and drawing/maturing toward the greatest harvest, the grape harvest, 1Cor.15:24,28; Rev.21:5; 2Pet.3:12-13.

And don’t the ancient Fall holy days outline that long second advent of the Lord? Like the Spring ones so perfectly did his first brief advent.. Lev.23

GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 27:27-38

[Eye witness accounts always differ in details. Authorities are very suspicious when they don’t.] 27 - Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium. [The quarters of the praetorian guard in the governor’s mansion. In roman occupation it was the custom to take over the palaces the rulers (king, etc.) lived in.]

They gathered the whole company of soldiers around him 28 and stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. 29 They twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head and put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail! king of the Jews!” 30 They spit on him. And they took the staff and struck him upon the head many times. 31 When they were done mocking him, they took off the robe and led him away to crucify him.

32 As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they made him carry the cross. 33 They came to a place called Golgotha (which means “place of the skull”). 34 There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall [cholé - a bitter herb perhaps wormwood a poison, or myrrh for pain]. But after tasting it, he refused it. 35 As he was hanging there, they divided up his clothes by throwing lots. (We are chosen to be called now, during this brief lifetime, by a ‘lucky’ throw of the heavenly dice, imo.) 36 then sitting down, they kept watch. 37 Above his head they had carved the charge against him - This is Jesus, the King of the Jews. 38 Two rebels were crucified with him, one at his right and one at his left.

1 - You then, my child [téknon – properly, a child; from commentary - figuratively anyone living in full dependence on the heavenly Father, i.e. fully, willingly relying upon the Lord in glad submission, this prompts God to transform them into His likeness] - be strengthened by the grace that is in Jesus, 2 and what you have heard from me, in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to others who are faithful and will be able to teach others also. 3 Suffer hardship and evil treatment as a good soldier of Christ. 4 A soldier doesn’t get entangled in civilian pursuits, because their aim is to please the one who enlisted them. 5 An athlete is not crowned unless they compete according to the rules. 6 It is the hard-working farmer who reaps the crops.

          - - - - - - - - - - - -
GospeL Verses ~ Mt.27:11-26; Jn.19:1-13
11 - Now Jesus stood before the Roman governor Pilate, and the governor asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus said, “You have said so.” 12 But when he was accused by the leaders (of his own nation) the chief priests and elders, he gave no answer. 13 Then Pilate said to him, “Do you not hear how many things they are testifying against you?” 14 But he gave no answer, not to a single charge, so the governor was greatly amazed.
15 Now at the feast of Passover each year the governor was accustomed to release for the crowd any one prisoner whom they wanted. 16 And they had in captivity then a notorious prisoner called Barabbas. 17 So when the people had gathered, Pilate said, “Whom do you want me to release for you, Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?” 18 For he knew that it was out of envy that the leaders had delivered him up. 19 Besides, while he was sitting on the seat of judgment, his wife sent word to him, “Have nothing to do with that righteous man! For I have suffered a vivid dream about him today.” 20 Now the chief priests and the elders convinced the crowd to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus destroyed. 21 The governor again said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” And they said, “Barabbas.” 22 Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said, “Crucify him!” 23 And he said, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Crucify him!” 24 So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but instead a riot was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of this man's blood, see to it yourselves.” 25 And all the people answered, “His blood be on us and on our children!” 26 Then he released for them Barabbas, and having flogged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
     John 19:1-13
1 - Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged.  (Hoping to satisfy the crowd?) 2 The soldiers put on his head a crown of thorns they had twisted together, and arrayed him in a purple robe. 3 And they were saying, “Hail! King of the Jews!” and were slapping him around.
4 Pilate went out again and said to the people, “See, I am bringing him out to you that you may know that I find no guilt in him.” 5 So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said, “Behold the man!” 6 When the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, “Crucify him, crucify him!” Pilate said, “Take him yourselves and crucify him, for I find no guilt in him.” 7 They answered him, “We have a law, and according to that law he ought to die because he has made himself the Son of God.” 8 When Pilate heard this statement, foreboding fell upon him. 9 He entered his headquarters again and said to Jesus, “Where are you from?” But Jesus gave him no answer. 10 So Pilate said, “You will not speak to me? Do you not know I have authority to release you and authority to crucify you?” 11 Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given to you from above. Therefore those who delivered me over to you have the greater sin.”
12 Pilate continued seeking to release him, but the Jews cried out, “If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend! Everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar!” 13 So when Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called The Stone Pavement, and in Aramaic, Gabbatha [stone pavement]. But I’m not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard - until the day - what has been entrusted to me. 13 Follow the pattern of the sound teaching you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Jesus. 14 By the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) who dwells within us. Guard the good deposit entrusted to you. 15 You know how all who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes. 16 May the Lord bless the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains. 17 And when he arrived in Rome he diligently searched for me and found me— 18 may the Lord grant him to be found loyal by him on that day!—and you well know all the service he rendered at Ephesus.

Zechariah 10 and 11

Summarized/Condensed

This chapter is like poetry.. Can’t be paraphrased.

Ask the Lord for rain.. he gives it and produce.. the household gods and teachers and diviners tell false dreams the people wander like sheep but God will gather them back and they shall do valiantly! The oppressors will cease.

I think, especially in prophecy, that Israel is the microcosm and at the culmination of mankind’s doings and ages, is the macrocosm. [Of course “in Christ all are one”, that’s not the issue. History, repeats.. expands like trumpet waves.]

Zechariah 11

(The sWord from the Lord’s mouth is Truth. The iron - measuring - rod is Truth. It can’t be broken. HE designed this program of the ages, so he calls consequences and results his wrath.)

Open your doors, O Lebanon,    that the fire may devour your cedars!

2 Wail, O cypress, for the cedar has fallen,    for the glorious trees are ruined!Wail, oaks of Bashan,    for the thick forest has been felled!

3 The sound of the wail of the shepherds..

War.. and war is horrific.

…10 And I (Yahveh) took my staff Favor, and I broke it, annulling the covenant that I had made with all the peoples. 12 And they weighed out as my wages thirty pieces of silver. 13 Then the LORD said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—the lordly price at which I was priced by them. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord, to the potter. 14 Then I broke my second staff Union, annulling the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

     ...And false shepherds suffer consequences..

(Strict laws were meant to keep Israel separated from other nations, to be a somewhat prepared nation to birth the “savior of the world”.) 29 So Pilate went outside to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?” 30 They answered, “If this man were not doing evil, we would not have delivered him to you.” [“Have honest courts” Zech.7:7.] 31 Pilate said, “Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.” The Hebrew leaders said, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death.” 32 This would fulfill the word Jesus had said, showing by what kind of death he was going to die. (When he said “if I am lifted up from the earth” on a cross or tree “I will draw all to myself” Jn.12:32. …Why wasn’t “all” changed into all things like in so many other verses!? lol. Rev.21:5, Eph.1:10 and so on.)

33 So Pilate went inside headquarters again, had Jesus brought to him and said, “Are you the King of the Jews?” 34 Jesus answered, “Do you say this of your own accord? Or did others say it about me?” 35 Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you over to me. What is it you have done?” 36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom isn’t of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would be fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the leaders. But my kingdom is not of this world.” (Rev.21:5 - there will be “a new heavens and Earth” after a long second advent of Jesus upon this earth.] 37 Then Pilate said, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. But I have one purpose, I’ve come into the world to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” (Claiming to be king under Roman occupation was punishable by death.) 38 Pilate said, “What is truth?” And after he had said this, he went back outside to the Jewish leaders and said, “I find no guilt in him. 39 You have a custom that I should release one prisoner for you at the Passover. So do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?” 40 They answered him, “Not this man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber and a bandit. [Luke said, he was also arrested for violence and murder.]

                ~ 2 Timothy 1:1-9 ~

1 - Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and by the promise of the life that is in him, 2 to Timothy, my beloved child in the faith - Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Jesus our Lord. 3 I thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors with a clear conscience (Timothy is a greek gentile) as I remember you constantly in my prayers day and night. 4 I remember your tears, and long to see you, that I may be filled with joy. 5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that was first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, lives in you as well. 6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God has given us a spirit - not of fear - but of power, and love, and self-control. 8 Therefore don’t be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor be ashamed of me his prisoner, but instead share in hardships of the gospel with the strength given by God 9 who has saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of anything of ourselves or that we have done, but because of his own purpose and grace, which he bestowed in Christ Jesus before the ages began.

GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 27:1-10

1 - When morning arrived, the leaders - chief priests and elders of the people - held a counsel on how to have Jesus put to death. 2 Meanwhile, they had him bound and led to Pilate the Roman governor.

3 Then when Judas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus was condemned, he repented/changed his mind and brought back the thirty coins of silver, 4 saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood!” The chief priests and the elders, said, “What is that to us? See to it yourself.” 5 And throwing the coins into the temple, Judas departed, and he went out and hanged himself. 6 But the chief priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, “It’s not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it’s blood money.” 7 So later after another counsel, they used the money to buy the potter's field as a burial place for strangers. 8 And that field is called the Field of Blood to this day. 9 So it was fulfilled what had been spoken by the prophet Jeremiah (actually Zechariah, 11:12-13, unless some of Jeremiah is missing) saying, “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of he on whom a price had been set by leaders of the sons of Israel, 10 and they gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord directed [synetaxen - appointed].”

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                ~ 2 Peter 3:8-18 ~

8 - But don’t forget to consider that to the LORD, a day is like a thousand years (six millennium of things running their course, then a Sabbath millennium, a seventh, then GWT judgment ‘day’ an “eighth day - Rev.20:7-13 - the “last great day” - also see the Fall holy days, Lev.23:23-36). And a thousand years to him seems like a day. (This does noT say every year is a day, or a thousand, etc. God’s riddles are more complex than that!) 9 So you see, the Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some would consider slowness, but he is patient, not wishing any should perish, but all come to repentance. (Isaiah 25:23 - “I have sworn by my own name; I have spoken the truth, and I will never go back on my word: Every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to me.” Happy, joyful allegiance!)

(Note: here next, verse 10 and 12-13 are fiery bookends of the Lord’s long second advent, called the Day of the LORD or Day of God. I think it is a full time span, summarized here in verses 10-13 - starting at the verse 10 event, and ending at the verse 13 event.)

10 The day of the LORD (7th plus 8th millennium) will come like a thief, in which the heavens [ouranos - heaven, (a) the visible heavens: the atmosphere, the sky, the starry heavens, (or b) the spiritual heavens] with a roar will pass by (roll?) the elements in a furious heat and the works of earth will be revealed. (Jesus returns during Armageddon, 2Thes.1:7-8, beginning his long second advent - Rev.16:13-16 is Mt.13:30 (tares and wheat, also sheep and goats and those to the right and left of him).

11 Since all these things (of this world, fashions, ideas) are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness? 12 While you eagerly wait for the coming of the day oF God (timespan) - because of which (i.e. the goal being the New Heavens and Earth, therefor) - the heavens (that now are) will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! (Rev.21:5)

13 For according to his promise we are waiting for - new heavens and a new earth - in which righteousness/rightness/perfection abide. [Rev.21:5 is this “regeneration”, Greek word “palin/again-genesis”. A ReGenesis. “The lion will eat straw like the ox, the bear will graze with the cow” Is.11:7. And all “shall be like him”/Jesus.] (Two of the three lake of fire mentions are at these same two fiery events - the armageddon war, verse 10, and two thousand years later the total universal ReGenesis, verses 12-13. — In between the two is a lake of fire mention at the fiery final defeat of the adversary. Isn’t lake of fire seal 6!? And earthly prophecy like any other. But hidden. By describing the Revelation “seals” at the beginning of the vision, as their full and entire effects first to last. And wasn’t the first event of seal 6, Rev.13:13 which pinpointed an office, not ‘yet’ an individual? First fiery elements event.)

14 Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for all this, be diligent to be found by him without contamination, and at peace. (When all - this program/administration of the ages - is fully completed, human character will be clear as crystal.) 15 Count the patience of our LORD as safety, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given to him, 16 as he does in all his letters when he writes of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the unaware and unstable twist to their own ruin, as they do the other Scriptures. 17 You therefore, beloved - knowing this beforehand - take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawlessness and lose your stability. 18 But grow in the grace and knowing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. (End of Peter’s letters.)

GospeL Verses ~ Mt.26:58-75; Jn.18:15-27

(Jesus was arrested and led away.) 58 - Peter was following at a distance, and he went inside the courtyard of the high priest and sat with the guards to see what would happen. 59 The leaders, the chief priests and the whole council were looking for some false testimony against Jesus so they could have him put to death. 60 But there was none, though many false witnesses came forward. Then at last two came forward 61 and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and then rebuild it in three days.’” 62 The high priest stood up and said to Jesus, “Have you no answer!? What is it that these men testify against you?” 63 But Jesus remained silent. And the high priest said, “Under oath to the living God, tell us if you are the Christ! The Son of God.” 64 Jesus said to him, “It’s you who has said so. But I tell you, from now on you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.” 65 The high priest tore his robes and said, “He has uttered blasphemy! What further witnesses do we need? You heard it! 66 What is your judgment?” They answered, “He deserves to die.” 67 Then they spit in his face and hit him. And some slapped him, 68 saying, “Prophesy to us, oh you Christ! Who is it that struck you?”

69 Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl said, “You also were with Jesus the Galilean.” 70 But he denied it before them all, saying, “I don’t know what you mean.” 71 And when he went out to the gate, another servant girl saw him, and she said to the people standing there, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.” 72 And again he denied it with an oath, “I do not know the man!” 73 After a little while the bystanders came up and said to Peter, “Certainly you too are one of them, for you talk like one from Galilee.” 74 Then he swore and said, “I do not know the man!” And right then the rooster crowed. 75 And Peter remembered what Jesus had said, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.

     John 18:15-27

15 - Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple (John, who wrote this.) Since that disciple was known to the high priest, he entered with Jesus into the courtyard of the high priest, 16 but Peter stood outside at the gate. The other disciple spoke to the servant girl who kept watch at the gate, and brought Peter in. 17 The servant girl said to Peter, “Were you one of this man's disciples?” He said, “No, I’m not”. 18 The servants and officers had made a charcoal fire because it was cold, and they were standing around it warming themselves. And Peter was standing with them.

19 The high priest was questioning Jesus about his disciples and his teachings. 20 Jesus answered, “I have been speaking openly to the world. I’ve always taught in the synagogues and in the temple, where the people come together. I’ve said nothing in secret. 21 Why ask me? Ask those who’ve heard me. They know what I said.” 22 When he had said this, one of the officers standing by struck Jesus with his hand, saying, “Is that how you answer the high priest?” 23 Jesus answered him, “If what I said is wrong, tell me the wrong, but if what I said is true, why do you strike me?” 24 Annas then sent him bound to Caiaphas the high priest.

25 Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. So they said to him, “You also are not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it, saying, “I am not.” 26 One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, “Didn’t I see you in the garden with him?” 27 Peter again denied it, and at once a rooster crowed.

                ~ 2 Peter 2:18-3:7 ~

18 - Arrogantly speaking loud and foolish boasts, they entice sensually, 19 promising freedom, but they themselves are slaves to corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that they are a slave! 20 Now if, after having escaped the defilements of the world through the knowing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, their last state will become worse than the first! 21 It would be better if they had never known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back. 22 What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to his vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”

3:1 - This is now the second letter that I’ve written to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, 2 that you should remember the prophecies of the prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through the apostles, 3 knowing this, that there will be scoffers in the last days scoffing, and following their own sinful ways. 4 They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they have from the beginning.” 5 They deliberately overlook that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 And it’s by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. 7 But by that same word, the heavens and earth that now exist, is storing up fire, that is being kept until the day of judgment and the destruction of godlessness. (2Pet.3:12-13, Rev.21:5)

GospeL Verses ~ John 18:3-14

3 - Judas, gathered a band of soldiers and some officers of the chief priests and Pharisees, and came to Gethsemane with torches, swords and lanterns. 4 Jesus, knowing all that would happen to him, came forward and said, “Who is it you seek?” 5 They answered him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said, “I am he.” Judas, who betrayed him, was standing there also. 6 When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground. 7 So he asked them again, “Who are you seeking?” They said, “Jesus of Nazareth.” 8 Jesus answered, “I told you, I am he. So, if you seek me, let these men go.” 9 This fulfilled the word that he had spoken: “Of those whom you gave me I have not lost one.” 10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's servant, cutting off one of his ears. The servant's name was Malchus. 11 So Jesus said to Peter, “Put away your sword, shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?” [Luke, the Greek doctor, but not one of the twelve - he met Paul later - says Jesus healed the ear.]

12 So the band of soldiers and their captain and the officers of the leaders bound his hands and led him away. 13 First they led him to Annas, the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest that year. 14 It was Caiaphas who had advised the Jews that it would be expedient that one man should die for the people.

       Matthew 26:47-57 (Matthew’s account.)

47 - While Jesus was still speaking, Judas came, who had been one of the twelve, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the elders of the people. 48 Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I will kiss you should seize, for that is him.” 49 And he came up to Jesus saying, “Rabbi” and kissed him. 50 Jesus said, “Friend, do what you came to do.” Then they came and laid hands on Him and seized him. 51 And then, one who was with Jesus drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear. 52 Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword away. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword. 53 Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But then how should it be fulfilled what must occur, and is written in the Scripture?” (That which will be strong enough to appease and convince eveRy guilty conscience.) 55 Jesus said to them, “Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come out with clubs and swords? Why not arrest me in the Temple? I was there teaching every day. 56 But, all this takes place that the Scriptures of the prophets be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled (Zech.13:7). 57 And those who had seized Jesus led him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders had gathered.

8 -  For that righteous man (Lot) lived among them day after day, feeling tormented over the lawless deeds that he saw and heard. 9 So then, the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep [tereo - keep, guard, watch, maintain, preserve] unto ‘day’ of judgment (and/the) correction [kolazo - to check, curb, restrain, chastise, correct, punish, properly curtail, prune] 10 especially those promoting the lust of defiling [miasmos - the act of defiling, polluting, corrupting] passion [epithymía - eager for, from epí - focused on and thymós - passionate desire, inordinate desires] and despise lordship. Bold and self willed, they do not tremble as they blaspheme [blasphémeó - to slander, hence to speak lightly or profanely of sacred things, use abusive or scurrilous language about, from blax - sluggish, slow, and phḗmē - reputation, fame, name – properly, refusing to acknowledge good, worthy of respect, hence, to blaspheme which “reverses moral values”-bible hub dot com; to insult] the glorious (one), 11 whereas angels, in being greater in strength and power, do not bring before God a reviling [blasphemos] judgment. 12 These however like non rational [alogos - without reason or logic] animals having been born as creatures of instinct to capture and ruin. Of what they know not of, they blaspheme, which way will come to ruin 13 and will suffer wrong as the wage [misthos - fruit naturally resulting] for the wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel openly. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast-with [syneuōchoumenoi - from syn -together, with, and euócheó - to entertain sumptuously] you. 14 Eyes full of unfaithfulness, insatiable for sin, they entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in avarice. Accursed children! 15 Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of wrongdoing, 16 but was rebuked for his own error [paranomia - lawbreaking] by a speechless donkey who spoke with a human voice and restrained the prophet's madness. 17 These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom [zophos - darkness, murkiness, gloom] of darkness is reserved [tēréō - kept intact]. (As long as there is waywardness, there will be the inner outside of the light darkness and gloom. The waywardness, lawlessness keeps it intact, for it is a fruit. The parable of the rich man and Lazarus portrays - initial - conditions of some during the GWT judgment ‘day’. As does the outside of the vision narrative of Rev.22.)

                paraphrased study

7 - And the lamb (that looked to have been slain, went from ascension to this chapter?) went and took the scroll from the right hand of the one who was seated on the throne. 8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before [enópios - before, in sight of] him. Each one was holding a harp, and a golden bowl full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying, 10 “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed (from death) people for God from every tribe and language, people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign upon earth.”

11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders, the voice of many angels, as myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands of voices, 12 saying with a loudly, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain! To receive power and wealth, wisdom and glory, honor and strength, and blessing!” 13 And I heard every creature in heaven and upon earth and below earth and upon the sea, and in the sea, all saying, “To he who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, blessing! And honor and glory and might forever and ever!”

14 And the four living creatures were saying, “amen” and the elders fell down and worshiped the one who lives to the ages of the ages.

GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 26:30-46
30 - And when they had sung a hymn, they went to the Mount of Olives. 31 And Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away because of me this night. For it’s written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’ 32 But after I’m raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.” 33 Peter answered, “Though all fall away, I will never fall away!” 34 Jesus said, “Truly, I tell you Peter, this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” 35 Peter said, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you!” And all the disciples said the same.
36 When they were at a place called Gethsemane, he said, “Sit here, while I go over there and pray.” 37 And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death, stay here, and watch with me.” 39 And going a little further he fell upon his face and prayed, “My Father if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” 40 And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Could you not watch with me one hour? 41 Watch and pray you do not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 42 And again, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cup cannot pass unless I drink it, let your will be done.” 43 And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. 44 Leaving them again, he prayed for the third time, saying the same thing. 45 Then he came to the disciples and said, “Sleep and take your rest. See, the hour is here, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. 46 Rise, let us be going. My betrayer is at hand.”

1 - Now remember, how false prophets [pseudoprophétés] arose among the people. There will be false teachers [pseudodidaskalos] also among you. (Translators ever choosing the most harsh interpretations, changing “all” to “all things”, changing words, putting an ancient pre-biblical and cruel myth into the message of God.) They will secretly bring in ruinous heresies. And will even deny the master who bought them [agorázō - the marketplace, stresses transfer]. And so bringing upon theirselves impending loss and ruin. 2 And many will follow after their lawlessness and self seeking, and will cause the way of truth to be slandered [blasphēmos - from blax - sluggish, slow, and phḗmē - reputation, fame – properly, refusing to acknowledge good/worthy of respect]. 3 And in their greed they will exploit you with fabricated words, for whom the judgment, from long ago, is not idle, and the ruin of them is not asleep. 4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but in chains - of darkness - cast them into “tartarus” [deepest darkness, and a Greek mythical place] being kept for judgment. 5 If he didn’t spare the ancient world, except eight, including Noah, a preacher of righteousness (preaching via “the Spirit while the ark was being built” 1Pet.3:19) when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly. (Death to God is not what it is to us. God sees all of time at once. And death is his taking out and transplanting elsewhere. There’s the two sections of his garden and harvest. The overgrown with weeds, at times fully overgrown, a choked to death garden.. the little plants.. trampled. .. Pull out the bramble weeds.. make them to be as seed, plant them in the soil of the other section of newly turned soil. All the seeds.. Waiting.) 6 And as the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, bringing them to ashes and ruin, which serve as an example of what is coming upon the world of ungodliness, 7 wherein he rescued righteous Lot (on the same day) who was greatly distressed by the lawless conduct of wickedness.

GospeL Verses ~ John 17:12-18:2

Jesus continues his prayer — 12 - “While I was with them, I kept them in the name (and cause)  of you which you have given to me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction [apóleia - loss, ruin (not surprisingly, the most extreme and harshest interpretation, son of) destruction] that the Scripture be fulfilled. (As the scripture has said.) 13 But now I am coming to you, and these things I say in the world, so they may have my joy fulfilled [plēróō - from plērēs - be full, see plḗthō] (may have a plethora of joy) in theirselves. 14 I have given them your word [logos - reasoning, reasoning by words, root  word of logic, a word, message] and the world has hated them because they’re not of the world, just as I’m not of the world.15 I don’t ask that you should take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, so I send them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate/dedicate/sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified/dedicated in truth.

20 I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they will be in us, so the world will believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given [didómi - to give, offer] to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfectly united, so the world will know you sent me and love them even as you love me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. (Of the twenty four elders?) 25 Oh righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you sent me. 26 I have made known to them your name [onoma - name, authority, cause] and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them. And I will be in them.”

18:1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he continued with his disciples across the Kidron brook, to where there was a garden. 2 And Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often went there with his disciples.

                     ~ 2 Peter 1:9-21 ~

9 - For whoever lacks these qualities is nearsighted and blind, having forgotten they were cleansed from their former sins. 10 Therefore, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you practice these qualities you will never stumble and fall. 11 And so there will be richly provided for you an open door into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 12 Therefore I intend always to remind you of these qualities, though you know them and are established in them. 13 I think it right, as long as I am in this body, to stir you up by way of reminder, 14 since I know that the laying down [apothesis - putting away, laying down] of the tabernacle/tent/dwelling of me will be soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me. 15 And I will make every effort so that after my leaving you may be able at any time to recall these things. 16 For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, his voice in Majestic Glory from heaven saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased,” 18 we ourselves heard it, for we were with him on the holy mountain. (Of transfiguration/radiance.) 19 And we have the certain prophetic word, to which you do well to pay attention to as a lamp giving out light in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star shall have risen in the hearts of you, 20 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is from someone's own inspiration. 21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God).

WeekLy BooK oF Acts 2 22-41

  a paraphrased study

Peter is speaking to a crowd in Jerusalem on Pentecost, seven weeks after Jesus’ death, resurrection and ascension. 22 -  “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man having been sent by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know— 23 this Jesus was delivered up according to the determined plan and foreknowledge of God, and was crucified and killed by lawless men. 24 But God raised him up, loosing the hold of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. 25 For David said concerning him (David, quoting by inspiration, Christ to God), ‘I saw the LORD always with me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken. 26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, my tongue was filled with joy! Even my body will dwell in hope [elpis - expectation]. 27 For you will not abandon my soul [psyxḗ - from psyxō - to breathe, blow, which is the root of the English words psyche, psychology – soul, psyche, a person's distinct identity, unique personhood, i.e. individual personality] to Hades [hádēs - from A - not, and idein/eidō - see; not seen] (gone - the word originally, without the myth following after) nor let your holy one see corruption/decomposition. 28 You have made known to me the paths of life. And you will make me full of gladness with your Presence.’ (Spirit)

29 Brothers, I say to you with all confidence that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb, to this very day, is with us. 30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, 31 he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned [egkataleipó - left behind, deserted] to Hades (state of gone) nor did his flesh see decay. 32 This Jesus God raised up, and that is what we (the disciples and about 200) are all witnesses of. 33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God), he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. 34 For David did not ascend into the heavens. But he says, ‘The LORD said to my Lord, sit at my right hand, 35 until I make your enemies your footstool.’ (1Cor.15:24-28) 36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ. This Jesus whom you crucified!”

37 Now when they heard this they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38 Peter said, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God). 39 For the promise is to you and your children and to all who are far off, whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” 40 And with many other words he testified and proclaimed, saying, “Save yourselves from this perverse genus (humanity as we know it).” 41 Those who listened were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

GospeL Verses ~ John 17:1-11

1 - When Jesus had said these things, he looked up toward heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come, glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, 2 since you have given him authority over all that live and breath [sarx - all flesh] to give enduring life to all you have given him. 3 And this is the enduring life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. 4 I glorified you while on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world was made.

6 I have made you known to those you gave me out of the world. (To be disciples. Note how in the Revelation vision - after all is said and done - the foundation stones of the New Jerusalem, kingdom temple, are named after the disciples, Rev.21:14.) Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that everything you have given me is from you. 8 For I have spoken to them what you gave to me to say, and they have received it and have come to know in truth that I came from you. They believe that you sent me. 9 I am praying for them. I’m not praying for the world but for those you have given me, for they are yours. 10 All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I’m glorified in them. 11 And I’m no longer in the world, but they are in the world. I’m coming to you, Holy Father, keep them in your name, the name which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. (Christ-ian.)

1 - From Simeon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ - to those who, with us, have obtained the precious faith which is through the righteousness of God, and our Savior Jesus Christ: 2 May the grace and peace that’s in knowing God and our Lord Jesus, be multiplied to you! 3 God’s divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through knowing he who has called us to his own glory and excellence. 4 He has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises, by which we become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption [phthorá, from phtheírō – destruction from internal corruption, deterioration, decay, perishableness, corruption, decomposition] of the world [kosmos - order, the world, literally something ordered, an ordered system like the universe, creation, the world]. (So, “having escaped the corruption that is of this world” - the present order - of life as we presently know it.) 5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your (precious) faith, virtue, and to virtue, knowledge, 6 to knowledge, self-control, and to self-control, steadfastness/stability, to steadfastness/stability, godliness, 7 to godliness, genuine brotherly affection, and to brotherly affection, love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and increasing, they will keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowing of our Lord Jesus.

GospeL Verses ~ John 16:17-33

17 - Some of the disciples were saying to one another, “What do you think he’s saying when he says, ‘yet a little while, and you won’t see me, but then in a little while you’ll again see me’? (The disciples are very used to hearing Jesus teach in riddles. 🤔Like Father, like Son. Hiding things in plain sight.. and takes God’s Spirit/Presence to decipher and decode? Which if you think about it, can’t be that difficult seeing as God is, of course, Life.) “And, what does he mean ‘because I am going to the Father’?” 18 So they were saying, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’?” (Unbeknownst to them, three days and nights in the tomb.) 19 Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said, “Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying, ‘A little while and you won’t see me, and again a little while and you will see me’? 20 Truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn to joy. 21 When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, but is joyful that a human being has been born to her. 22 So also you have sorrow now, but I’ll see you again, and then your hearts will rejoice, and no one will be able to take your joy from you. (Because he was going to send to them the gift from the Father, which is called the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the very Presence of God - with them in a fuller measure than was possible in the past.) 23 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly I tell you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. 25 “Yes I have said these things to you in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you by figures of speech [paroimia - a byword, parable, allegory] but will tell you plainly about the Father. 26 In that day, you will ask in my name, and I’m not saying I’ll ask the Father on your behalf. 27 No, for the Father himself loves you. Especially because you have loved me and have believed that I came from Him. 28 I came forth from the Father and came into the world, again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”

29 The disciples said, “Now you’re speaking plainly! 30 Now we know you know all things and there’s no need for anyone to question you. This is why we believe you came from God.” 31 Jesus answered, “Do you now believe? 32 But, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I’m not alone, for the Father is with me. 33 I have said these things to you, so that in me you will have peace. In the world you’ll have tribulation. But take heart, I have overcome the world.”

(He has overcome this imperfection, a virulent dis-ease with the most negative prognosis - this unavoidable life as we presently know it, the crucible itself, this slow motion gehenna. Now we are overcoming our imperfect nature having offered it up to God as a whole burnt offering.. through Jesus our high priest.)

8 - Be sober-minded and watchful, knowing that your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing the same kinds of sufferings are being experienced by your brothers and sisters throughout the world. 10 But always, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 11 To him is the kingdom forever and ever! Amen.

12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting and declaring that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it. 13 Our sister who is at Babylon, who is likewise chosen, sends you greetings, and so does Mark, my son (in the faith). 14 Greet one another with the kiss of love.

Peace to all of you in Christ.

GospeL Verses ~ John 16:1-16

1 - “I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away.” (Because of this upcoming hard time and trauma. ..If the disciples are to be warned? Having seen and lived all that they did! Oh the potential, of how forgetful we humans can be!) 2 “They will put you out of the synagogues/churches/town halls, etc. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think they are doing a service to god. 3 And they will do these things because they don’t know the Father, nor me. 4 But I have said these things to you, so that when it occurs you will remember that I told you about it.

I didn’t tell you these things earlier, because I was with you. 5 But now I’m going to he who sent me, and none of you asks, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 But because I’ve now said these things, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t go away, the help(er) (God’s Spirit/Presence) won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. 8 And when he comes, he will convince [elégxō – properly, to convince with solid, compelling evidence, including to expose, prove wrong, and correct; (he will) convince] the world concerning sin (hamartia - missing the mark, wrongdoing) and concerning righteousness and judgment: 9 concerning sin, because they don’t believe in me, 10 concerning righteousness, because I’m going to the Father, and you will no longer see me. 11 And concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. (The verdicts have all been handed down. Except one. Ro.3:4, if we read the right version. And so then and now the message of reconciliation goes out..) 12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you are not able bear them now. 13 Yet when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the Truth, for he will not speak in part, but what he hears he will address, and the things coming he will make known to you. 14 He will glorify me, for the things concerning me, he will make known to you. 15 All the Father has is mine! So I say, he will take what is mine and will tell (explain) it to you. 16 In a little while, you will no longer see me. But after a little while, you will see me again.”

1 - So I (Peter) encourage the elders among you, as a fellow elder, and as a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed, 2 shepherd the flock of God that is with you, not as an obligation, but with genuine care, as God does. And not for shameful gain! (Worldly or personal/ego gain.) But readily. 3 Not as domineering or overbearing, but as examples to them. 4 And then when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. (Crown of life! Not metal.) 5 Likewise, you who are younger, hear and listen to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 6 Be humbled therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so in due time HE may raise/advance you. 7 And cast all your cares (questions) and worries upon him, because he (most genuinely) cares for you!

1 - Then I (John) saw in the right hand of he who was seated on the throne a scroll which was written on both sides, and sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a mighty angel asking in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break open its seals?” 3 And there was no one in heaven or upon earth or even under the earth who was able to open the scroll or to look into it, 4 and I began to openly weep because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. 5 But one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more, look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered. So HE can open the scroll and break open its seven seals.”

6 And then between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, looking as if it had been slain. It had seven horns and seven eyes which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

18 - “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me first. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own, but because you’re not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, this is why the world hates you. (A lot of everyday people really liked Jesus, but those worldly and in power didn’t, to say the least. Though the people waffled.) 20 Remember the words I spoke to you, that ‘a servant is not greater than their master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they heard my word, they will also hear yours. 21 But all these things they will do to you on account of my name (my cause) because they don’t know the one who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of being wrong [hamartia - missing the mark]. But now they have no excuse nor cover for it. 23 Whoever hates me hates my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works that no one else has ever done, they would not be shown up, but now they have seen those works (proofs) and hate both me and my Father. 25 But the word that is written in the Law they claim as theirs, must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.’

26 “But when the help(er) comes, which I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, which from the Father goes forth, he will bear witness [martureó - testify, give a good report] about me. 27 And you disciples will bear witness/testify because you have been with me all this while.

9 - Show genuine  hospitality to one another. 10 And as each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's abundant and diversely expressed grace. 11 Whoever speaks, let them speak as one who speaks the logos [“reasoning”] of God, whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies, in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial if it comes upon you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice if you share Christ's sufferings, because you will also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler! 16 But if anyone suffers as a Christian, let them not be ashamed, but let them glorify God. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin at [apo - from, away from] the household of God, and if first with [apo - from, away from] us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And - “If the righteous are scarcely saved, how will it fare for the ungodly and the sinner?” (For the spiteful?) 19 Therefore those who suffer according to God's will (of allowing) let them entrust their souls to a faithful creator while continuing to do good.

Life As A Slow Motion Gehenna

🌙💭🌴 05-17-24, had a dream of a big pot, it had two handles on either side and it was white (but it didn’t start that way?) its lid was no where to be seen ..As we know per Zechariah, the pot is wickedness ..then during a.m. prayers.. I saw the earth, the grass, the trees and the earth as a whole dry up, become brittle and instantaneously wither away.. like watching an apple decompose in super fast motion. It was totally devoid of the burst of Life and light that Life is..

So many believers still lost in the mist of the myths ..running around proclaiming immortal soul.. don’t we even get it yet? Imperfection, one tiny step away from God, uninterrupted, is an abyss. The bottom of the abyss is death. Literal death. Not being.. the opposite of life. It can’t be done. I won’t go into it any further right now, how to knit the pearls together to solve God’s logos riddle. Yes, the “end-aim” is Jesus. See the image. That’s the blueprint. And so mankind and creation will be sealed. Suffice it to say thankfully creation is to be more than an ant farm. I’m thinking instead God opted for total ‘herd’ immunity(?) And get this, as Life, he lives through, suffers and experiences everything that ever occurs.

GospeL Verses ~ John 15:1-17

1 - “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinekeeper [geórgos - from gé - the earth, land, and ergon - work]. 2 Every branch - in me - that doesn’t bear fruit he takes away from the vine, and every branch that does bear fruit, he prunes so it may bear more fruit. 3 Already you are clean [katharós - a primitive word – properly, "without admixture" what is separated, purged so clean, pure because unmixed, without undesirable elements, figuratively spiritually clean because purged/purified by God, i.e. free from contaminating influences] because of all I have spoken to (instructed) you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit on its own and by itself, unless it stays on the vine, neither can you - unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine. You are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in them, will bear much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me they are cast away, and like a fallen off branch, it withers and is gathered to be thrown into the fire, and burned. (In a bonfire, not in an eternal fire pit, Mt.13:30 is Rev.16:13-16; Rev.13:13 was the 1st ‘bonfire’ but carried out by an office. The 1st seal 6 event, but hidden by describing the seals as their entire effects, first to very last, at the beginning of the vision.) 7 If you abide in me, and, my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified. For you will bear much fruit and prove you are my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commands [entolé - injunctions, orders, commands, from en - in, at, by, with, and télos - the end-aim, reach the end, consummation, focusing on the end result, objective of the instruction] then you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commands/instructions and abide/stay/dwell in his love. 11 These things I have spoken to you so that my joy will be in you, and so your joy will be full.

12 “And this is my commandment - that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down their life (and interests) for their friends, 14 and you are my friends if you do as I say.

15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what their master/mister/boss is doing. But I call you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you. 16 You didn’t choose me. I chose you. And I have appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should endure, so that whatever you may ask the Father in my name (for my cause) he will give it to you. 17 This I command you, that you love one another.

(I think the message to translators, sometimes is just too simple.. So they hazed it a little, well actually a lot. Chose the harshest interpretations and some overly difficult instructions. As a small example some versions say - “These things I command you, so that you will love one another” when the simple direct translation is the straightforward - “This I command you - this is my command - that you love one another.” Best done by abiding/staying in him.)

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                ~ 1 Peter 4:1-8 ~

1 - Since therefore Jesus suffered in this life, arm yourselves with the same thinking, for whoever has suffered in this life has ceased from habitual wrongdoing, 2 so as to live for the rest of the time in this life no longer for human passions but for the will of God. 3 For the time is past and suffices for doing what the nations (natural, imperfect mankind) want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and the lawlessness idolatry results in. 4 In this they they think it strange when you don’t run with them in the flood of debauchery, and they speak evil of you. 5 But they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6 To this end indeed even to the dead the good news is (will be ) announced so that judged indeed (discerned) according to mankind in this life (as we presently know it?) but live [záō – to live, experience God's gift of life] however in the spirit according to God.

7 The end of all things is at hand (that age, concluding at 70 CE) therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. 8 Above all, keep genuinely and wholeheartedly loving one another, since love covers a multitude of sins [hamartia - missing the mark, flaws, shortcomings].
