2 Corinthians 4 11-18

12/24 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

11 - For we who live are always being given over to death in Jesus' name/cause, so that the life of Jesus also may be seen in our mortal lives. 12 So death is at work in us, for life in you.

     13 Since we have the same spirit of faith - according to what has been written - even as it says, “I believed, and so I spoke,” so also do we believe, and so we speak. 14 We speak knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus, will raise us as well. And with Jesus, will bring us with you into his presence. 15 All for our sake, so as grace spreads to more and more people it may abound as a {blessed} spirit of thankfulness, to the glory of God.

16 So we don’t lose heart., for as the {present} outward person is passing away, the inner person is being renewed day by day. 17 For this light and momentary affliction [thlipsis - tribulation, affliction, distress, persecution] is preparing for us an enduring fullness of glory beyond all comparison. 18 So we look not to the things that are seen {and happening} but to the things that are not seen. For the things we now see, are passing away, but the things we are not {yet?} seeing is what is enduring.

MATTHEW 2 1-12

  πŸƒπŸ•Š️12/24 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

1 - After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, during the days of Herod the king, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star rising and have come to worship him.” {They were Chaldean/Babylonian astrologers. God granted Solomon “wisdom greater than those from the east” ..and Solomon still strayed and fell away from sacred friendship with God/life.. i.e. Solomon dropped his end.}

     3 And when Herod the king heard of this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And calling a meeting with the chief priests and scribes, the leaders of the people, he asked them where the Christ was to be born. 5 And they said, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so is it written by the prophet, 6 ‘You Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the cities of Judah, for from out of you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’”

     7 Then Herod sent secretly for the wise men to find out from them what time they had seen the star appear. 8 And then as they were leaving he said to them, “Search diligently for the child, and when you find him send word to me, so I too may come and pay homage to him.” 9 And after agreeing they continued on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose, went before them, until it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10 And when they saw that, they rejoiced with great joy. 11 And going into the place, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they knelt around him and paid homage to him. Then, opening their wares, they offered him gifts, gold, frankincense and myrrh. {For expenses.} 12 And being warned in a dream not to send word to, nor to return to Herod, they went back to their own country by another way. [Ps.72:11, Rev.12:4]

2 Corinthians 4 1-10

12/23 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

1 - Therefore, having this work, it’s by the mercy of God, that we do not lose heart. 2 And we renounce all disgraceful, underhanded ways, refusing to cunningly tamper with God's word. But by openly stating the truth, we commend ourselves to everyone's scrutiny in the sight of God. 3 And if our gospel is veiled {misunderstood} it’s veiled to those who are {still} perishing. 4 For the god of this world blinds the minds, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel, in the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we proclaim is not ourselves! But Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for the cause of Jesus. 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness” has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Jesus the Christ/the Messiah.

     7 But this treasure and blessing we have in jars of clay, to prove the surpassing power belongs to God, and not to us. 8 For we are afflicted in every way. But we’re not crushed. Troubled by men, but not driven to despair, 9 persecuted, but not forsaken, struck down, but not defeated. 10 Always carrying in this body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus in us, may also be shown.

8 - And that night, nearby, there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their sheep, 9 when an angel of the Lord appeared to them. And the glory of the Lord shone round about them, and they were marveling and afraid. 10 But the angel said, “Fear not, for listen, I bring you good news. News of great joy that will be for all people. 11 For unto you is born, this day, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign for you, you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” (In a feeding trough.) 13 And suddenly! There was a multitude of angels, praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest! And on earth peace with mankind! His pleasure and delight!”

     15 When the angels had gone, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go into Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened! Which the LORD has made known to us!” 16 And they went with haste, and found Mary and Joseph, and saw the baby lying in a manger. 17 And they shared all they had been told concerning the child. 18 And all who heard it wondered. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned to the field, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them.

2 Corinthians 3 12-18

  12/22 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

12 - Because the hope [elpis - expectation, trust, confidence] we have, is so great, it causes us to be very bold! 13 Not like Moses, who put a veil over his face when the Israelites couldn’t gaze at the radiance, of what was (after all) {a} temporary {testament}. 14 But their minds were hardened [pΓ³roΓ³ - rendered insensitive, callous, petrified, hardened, stony]. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains not lifted, because in Christ is it removed. 15 Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over the hearts. {Heart/mind.} 16 But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 For wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom and liberty. {Set free to see Truth, and “truth sets free”.} 18 And we, as we look upon him, his radiance, are being transformed into his same image, from glory to glory {and radiance to radiance} [psalm 84:7, "they go from strength to strength”] by the Spirit of the LORD.

1 - In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the (Roman occupied) world should be registered. 2 This was the first registration, which was when Quirinius was governor of Syria. 3 So all of Israel went to be registered, each to their own town. 4 Joseph went up from Galilee, from Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David. 5 He went with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. 6 And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. 7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger (feeding trough) because there was no place for them in the inn.

2 Corinthians 3:1-11

 12/21 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

1 - Do we begin again having to prove ourselves? (To those criticizing him and his teaching/message.) Do we need now, as some do, letters of recommendation? 2 You yourselves are our letter of recommendation! Written on our hearts! To be known and read by all. 3 And you show that you are a letter from Christ as well, written not with ink but with the Spirit {Presence} of the living God. Not on tablets of stone, but upon human hearts. 4 And such is the confidence we have through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient in ourselves, as if anything is coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who has enabled us to be servants/attendants of a new covenant, one not of the letter (rules, but you know how human nature loves rules.. usually for others) but is of the Spirit. For the letter kills {fails, utterly, aka hopeless, imperfect/the law of entropy doesn’t reverse course, what it is, ultimately, to be “under” law?} but the Spirit GIVES life.

     7 Now if the ministry (or covenant) of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such radiance that the Israelite tribes couldn’t look upon Moses' face because of its brightness, but it was intended to be temporary, 8 will not the ministry and covenant of the Spirit have even more glory and radiance? {It being then, since GIVEN, a promise. Aka, a ‘legal’ binding Promise.} 9 For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation [explaining the law and the ‘charge’ - yet it’s like, if you jump off this tall building you will hit the ground with a thump} how much more, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed in glory! 10 Indeed, in this case, what once had glory has come to not have glory after all, because of the glory that surpasses it. 11 For if what was being brought to an end came with glory, how much more glory shall - what is permanent - have!

MATTHEW 1 18-25

  πŸƒπŸ•Š️12/21 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

18 - Now the birth of Jesus Christ happened this way - his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, and before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. 19 And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, thought to annul the betrothal quietly. 20 But as he was thinking these (very serious) things over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, and he said, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” [Jn.13:3, “the Father has put all in the Son’s hands.” Jn.10:16, Jesus said “I have sheep not of this fold”.] 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet [and was promised by God in Eden] - 23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son {“a great sign !” Rev.12:1, middle of three tellings of the revelation vision} and they shall call his name Immanuel” meaning “God with us”. {Through him, God is with us. It’s the way God wants it. Jesus is high commander, shepherd.} 24 When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the LORD instructed him and wed his wife, 25 but he did not know her until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

Revelation 19 1-8

 WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

      By Necessity Slightly

             Paraphrased

1 - After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God! 2 For his judgments are true and just! {Imo, cause and effect, even the final results called God’s wrath, greek orge/passion ..as opposed to creation as an ant farm?} He has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality [greek, porneia] and he avenged [ekdikeΓ³ - gave justice over, defended, avenged, vindicated, (with) retribution] upon her for the blood of his servants.”

     3 Once more they cried out, “Hallelujah!

The smoke from her goes up forever and ever.” {Considering Revelation 21:5, this must be her smoke rising forever in the memories of all. As where else? Considering also, 2Pet.3:12-13. Hallelujah! The proof straying/imperfection can never work, it being corruption/entropy, the ‘worm’ that never quits/does not reverse.}

     4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated upon the throne, saying, “Amen. Hallelujah!” 5 And from the throne came a voice saying, “Praise our God, all you his servants, all who revere him, small and great.”

     6 Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the All Mighty reigns. 7 Let us rejoice and exult and give him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb {union with/catching away} has come and his bride has made herself ready {for it, Rev.7:9,4; Mt.25:10/1-13} 8 for it was granted to her, to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”. {Wedding dress, for the union/marriage.} For the fine linen is required [dikaiΓ³ma - ordinance, requirement, righteous act, judgment, justification] of the saints {all who genuinely trust God to complete his works}.

2 Corinthians 2 10-17

  12/20 ~ From New Testament Letters

   πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

10 - Anyone you forgive, I forgive also! As a matter of fact, if I’ve forgiven anything, it’s been in Jesus, and for your sake. 11 This is so we would not be outwitted by Satan, for we’re not uninformed of his tricks and designs.

     12 When I came to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ, even though a door was opened for me in the Lord, 13 my spirit was not at rest because I didn’t find my brother Titus there. So I left and went on to Macedonia.

     14 And thanks be to God, who - in Christ - always leads us in triumphal procession {Rev.6:2} and then through us, spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. 15 For we are the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved, and among those who are perishing. 16 To one a fragrance of death to death {ruin to ruin, failure to failure, and natural entropy} to the other, a fragrance of life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not, like so many, peddlers {making a profit} of God's word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God. And in the sight of God, we speak in Christ.

2 Corinthians 2 1-9

 12/19 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

1 - I didn’t want to make another painful visit. 2 For if I cause you pain, who then is there to make me happy but the one I pained? 3 And I wrote as I did to you, lest when I was there, I should have sorrow over those from whom I ought to have joy, trusting all of you to have the same joy that I have. 4 For when I wrote to you, it was out of much affliction and anguish of heart, and even with tears. Not to cause you pain, but to let you know of the abundant love I have for you.

     5 Now if anyone has caused pain, they have caused it - not to me, except in some measure, and not to put it too severely - but to all of you! 6 Now for that one, the disapproval and censure by the majority is enough (he had been sleeping with his father’s wife) 7 so you should rather turn to forgive and comfort, or he may be overwhelmed by excessive distress. 8 So I beg you to reaffirm your love and acceptance for him. 9 For this is why I wrote, to find out if you are able to stay and walk in the way.

2 Corinthians 1 15-24

12/18 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

15 - Being sure of all this, I wanted to come to you first, so that you might have a second experience of grace. 16 I wanted to visit you on my way to Macedonia, and then on my way back, and then have you send me on my way to Judea. 17 Did I seem fickle and uncertain when I planned to do this? Do I say “yes, yes” and “no, no” at the same time? 18 As surely as God is faithful, our word to you has not been yes, and no. 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom Silas, Timothy and I proclaimed among you, was not yes, and no, but in him it is always yes! 20 For - all the promises of God - find their yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. 21 And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, 22 and who has also put his seal upon us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee [arrabΓ³n - pledge, guarantee, down payment, deposit]. 23 As God as witness, it was to spare you, that I refrained from coming again to Corinth. 24 Not that we lord it over you and your faith, but we work with you - for your joy - that you may - stand firm - in faith.

26 - Six months later, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to Nazareth, a city of Galilee, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And Gabriel came to her and said, “Greetings, oh favored one! The Lord is with you!”29 But she was troubled at the saying, for she didn’t know what sort of greeting that might be. 30 And the angel said to her, “Don’t be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
     34 Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I have never been with a man?” 35 And Gabriel answered, “The Holy Spirit (/Presence of God) will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and so the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. 36 And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with she who was called barren. 37 For nothing is impossible to God.” 38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaiden of the Lord. Let it happen to me as you have said.” The angel then departed.

ACTS 18 17-28

         WeekLy BooK oF Acts

17 - And after that the mob seized Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him in front of the tribunal. But proconsul Gallio paid no attention to any of it.

     18 Paul stayed a while longer in Corinth [a year and a half all together] and then he took leave of the brothers and sisters and set sail for Syria. Priscilla and Aquila went with him. At Cenchreae he cut his hair, as part of a vow. 19 And they arrived at Ephesus, whereupon he went to the synagogue and reasoned with the Hebrews (Jews). 20 They asked him to stay longer, 21 but he said, “I’ll return to you if God wills,” and he set sail from Ephesus.

     22 When he landed at Caesarea, he went up (to Jerusalem) and greeted the church, and then he went down to Antioch. 23 After spending some time there, he departed and went from one place to the next through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.

     24 Meanwhile a Hebrew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent speaker, competent in the Scriptures. 25 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord. And being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately [akribΓ³s - with exact precision] the things concerning Jesus, though he knew only about the baptism of John. 26 He began to speak boldly in the synagogue, and when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more fully. {Explaining the blessing of the Holy Spirit, the Presence of God the Father with us.} 27 And when he wished to cross to Achaia (of Greece) the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to make him welcome. When he arrived in Corinth, he was a great help to those who through grace believed, 28 for he persuasively refuted the non believing Hebrews in the synagogue, showing by the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ [Christos - anointed one, messiah].

  12/17 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

8 -  For we [Paul, Timothy and others] don’t want you to be unaware of the suffering we experienced in Asia. We were so utterly burdened beyond our endurance that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt like we had received the sentence of death! But that was to make us rely, not on ourselves, but upon God who raises the dead. 10 He delivered us from deadly peril, and he will continue to deliver us. On him we have set our hope [elpizΓ³ - to hope, expect, trust] that he will deliver us again. 11 You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted to us through the prayers of many.

     12 For our boast is this - we have peace of conscience, that we have behaved in the world with simplicity and with godly sincerity. Not by earthly wisdom, but by the grace of God. And toward you, abundantly so! 13 There is no hidden meaning in what I write and what you read. What you read you read rightly in its plain and simple sense in the hope you will fully understand, 14 just as you have already, partially understood. And on the day of our Lord Jesus, we shall rejoice together! And celebrate each other.

[Luke was a Greek physician who met Paul and traveled with him and company somewhat, and wrote this gospel account and the Book of Acts ..acts of some of the earliest believers.] 1 - Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things that have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as those who from the beginning of it all were eyewitnesses, and then messengers of the word/message they delivered to us, 3 it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time now, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, 4 that you may have certainty concerning the things you’ve been taught.

     5 In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah, of the division of Abijah. And he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord. 7 But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and both were advanced in years.

     8 Now while he was serving as priest before God when on duty with his division, 9 according to the ways of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple and burn incense to the LORD. 10 And all the people were praying outside at the hour of incense. 11 And there appeared to Zechariah an angel of the LORD standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12 And he was troubled and afraid when he saw him. 13 But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice, 15 for he will be great before the Lord. And he will not drink wine or strong drink, but will be filled with the Holy Spirit {/Presence of the LORD} even from his mother's womb. 16 He will turn many of the children of Israel to the LORD their God, 17 and he will go forth in the presence of him, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient [apeithΓ©s - disobedient, unbelieving] to the wisdom of the righteous, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.” {Prepared, 2Tim.3:16}

     18 And Zechariah said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I’m an old man, and my wife is advanced in years also.” 19 And the angel said, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. 20 But listen, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day that these things happen, because you didn’t believe my words, but they will be fulfilled on time.” {To prevent his further speaking unbelief/negativity?} 21 And the people were waiting for Zechariah, and they were wondering what was taking him so long in the temple. 22 And when he came out, he was unable to speak, and they realized he had seen a vision. And he kept making signs to them for he was mute. 23 And when his time of service was over, he went home.

     24 After these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she kept herself in isolation, saying, 25 “Thus has the Lord done for me in the days when he looked upon me to take away my reputation of being barren.”

2 Corinthians 1 1-7

  12/16 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

(Paul’s, actually third letter to the Corinthian believers - we’re missing the first one.) 1 - Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother: To the church of God that is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia. 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

     3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles [thlipsis - persecution, affliction, distress, tribulation] that we may be able to comfort those who are in any distress [thlipsis - persecution, affliction, distress, tribulation] with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ do we share abundantly in comfort [paraklΓ©sis - comfort, encouragement, exhortation, consolation] as well. 6 If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. And if we are comforted, it’s for your comfort [paraklΓ©sis - comfort, encouragement, exhortation, consolation] which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer. 7 Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort. {Paying it forward..}

1 - The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. 2 Abraham was the father of Isaac, and Isaac the father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers 3 ….clipped.. 6.. .. And David was the father of Solomon by the wife of Uriah, and Solomon.. 16 and Jacob the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ.

     17 So all the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to the Christ [greek for Messiah] fourteen generations.

     JOHN 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word {the light, light was first} and the Word was with God [the Son was with the Father] and was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through the Son, and without the Son was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was Life, and the Life was - the Light of man. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does noT overcome it. {In any heart!}

1 Corinthians 16 15-24

12/15 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

15 - Now I bring to your attention the household of Stephanas. They were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints/believers [hagios - sacred, set apart] {(ones) here believers/they are different}. 16 Be listeners to such as these, and to all fellow workers and laborers. 17 I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have made up for your absence, 18 and they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. Show recognition and appreciation to such ones.

     19 The churches of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca (scriptural trivia - Priscilla, later Paul begins to name her first) together with the church that meets in their house, send to you hearty greetings in the Lord. 20 All the brothers send you greeting. Greet one another with a holy kiss.

     21 I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. 22 If anyone {with us? actually} has no love for the Lord, they are accursed. Our Lord, come! [Only Truth shall endure/remain standing]. 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. 24 My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

49 - “And listen” Jesus said to his disciples, “I’m sending the promise of the Father upon you. So stay in the city until you’re clothed with that power from on high.”

     50 And he walked with them out as far as Bethany, then lifting his hands he blessed them. 51 And while he was blessing them, he departed from them as he was carried up into heaven. 52 And they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. 53 And they were continually in the temple blessing God.

     MARK 16:19 - So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs. 1 Corinthians 16 8-14

  12/14 ~ From New Testament Letters

    πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

8 - I plan to stay in Ephesus until Pentecost, 9 for a wide door for effective work has opened, but there are many adversaries. 10 When Timothy comes, be sure to put him at ease among you, for he is doing the work of the Lord along with me here. 11 So let no one disregard him {because of his youth}. Help him on his way in peace, that he may return here to Ephesus, for I’m expecting him with the brothers.

     12 Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to visit you with the other brothers, but it was not at all his will to come at this time. But he will come when he has opportunity.

     13 Be watchful! Stand firm in the faith! Be men, be strong! 14 And, let all that you do be done in love. {…Love, and we cannot be overly sensitive in this world. Nor concerning history. Revelation 18 9-24

 WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

      By Necessity Slightly

             Paraphrased

9 - And the kings of earth, who committed sexual immorality {were in bed with ‘her’} and lived in luxury with her, will weep and mourn when they see the smoke of her {$ity Babylon upon the seven continents/hills} burning. 10 They will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and will say, “Alas! Alas! That great city, that mighty city, Babylon! For in one hour your judgment comes.”

     11 And the merchants of earth will weep and mourn for her. For no one buys their cargo anymore, 12 products of gold, silver, precious stones, pearls, fine linen and silk and scarlet cloths, all fragrant woods, and articles of ivory, and fine wood, bronze, iron and marble, 13 cinnamon, spice, incense, perfumes and ointments, frankincense, wine, oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, slaves, and human souls [psuche - soul, life, self, inner being] {human beings}. 14 “And the ripe fruit of you and the delicacies for which you lusted/longed for have gone from you. All your sumptuous splendors are lost and will not be found again.” [Ripe fruit - opΓ³ra - harvest, late summer, autumn.]

     15 The merchants of these things, who grew wealthy from her (the $ity) will stand far off, in fear of her torment, loudly weeping and mourning, 16 “Alas, alas, for the great city that was clothed in fine linen, in purple and scarlet, adorned with gold, with jewels, and with pearls! 17 For in a single hour all that wealth has been laid waste.”

     And all shipmasters and seafaring men/traders, sailors and all whose - trade is on the sea - {in the past much more was done by sea} stood far off 18 and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, “What city was like the great city?!” 19 And they threw dust on their heads as they wept and mourned, crying out, “Alas, alas, for the great city - where all who had ships at sea grew rich by her costliness! For in one hour is she has laid waste.

20 Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, for God, for you, has given judgment against her!” {As you have done so shall it fall upon you.. reaping what you sow..}

     21 Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “So will Babylon the great city be thrown down with violence, and will be found no more, 22 and the sound of harpists and musicians, of flute players and trumpeters, will be no longer be heard in you, and no craftsman of any craft will be found - in you - any more, no more sound of the mill, will be heard in you. 23 The light of a lamp will not shine in you any more, and the voice of bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you any more, for her merchants were the great ones of earth, and all nations were deceived by your sorcery [pharmakeia - sorcery, witchcraft, magic, enchantment, spells, deception, corruption, beguilement]. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of - all - who have been slain upon earth.” {Empire.}

1 Corinthians 16 1-7

 12/13 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

1 - Now concerning the collection for the believers at Jerusalem (hard pressed because of a drought) as I said to the churches of Galatia, so you can do also. 2 On the first day of every week, each of you can put something aside and store it up, as each one determines, so there’s no collecting when I come. 3 And when I arrive, I’ll send those whom you choose with a letter, to carry your gift to Jerusalem. 4 If it seems advisable that I should go also, they’ll travel with me.

     5 I’ll visit you after passing through Macedonia, for I intend to pass through Macedonia to you there in Greece, 6 and perhaps I’ll stay with you or even spend the winter, so you may help me on my journey, wherever I go. 7 For I don’t want to see you now just in passing. I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. [Paul had spent a year and a half there discipling and teaching, and now it was a work they were doing together, of discipling and teaching, but the Corinthian believers had become a mix of attitudes even teachings, as this letter earlier has gone into and addressed.]

JOHN 21 16-25

  πŸƒπŸ•Š️12/13 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

16 - Jesus said to Peter a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter answered him, “Yes, Lord, you know I love you.” Jesus said, “Guide my sheep.” 17 He said to him a third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said, “Lord! You know everything! You know I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs. 18 Truly, I tell you, when you were young, you always dressed yourself and you went wherever you wanted, but when you’re old, you’ll stretch out your hands, and another will bind you and take you where you don’t want to go.” 19 This he said to show by what kind of death he would die, but which would make God known. And after saying that, he said, “Follow me.” {Anyway. What else could/would he do?}

     20 Peter turned and saw Jesus’ favorite disciple following them (John referring to himself) the one who also had leaned back against him during the supper and said, “Lord, who is it that’s going to betray you?” 21 When Peter noticed him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it’s my will he remain until I come [erchomai - to come, to walk, to go, properly - to come from one place into another, and used both of arriving, and returning] what is that to you? You, follow me.” 23 So the saying spread abroad among the believers that this disciple was not going to die, yet Jesus didn’t say that he wasn’t going to die, but said, “If it’s my will he remain until I come, what is that to you?”

     24 This is the disciple who is testifying and bearing witness about these things, and who has written these things, and we know his testimony is true. 25 There are also many other things that Jesus did, but if every one of them were to be written, I suppose the world itself couldn’t contain the books that would be written.

ACTS 18 1-16

         WeekLy BooK oF Acts

1 - After this Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. 2 And there he met a Hebrew (a Jew) named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla. It was because Emperor Claudius had ordered all Hebrews/Jews out of Rome. So Paul went to see them, 3 and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade. 4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, trying to persuade both Jews and Greeks.

     5 When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with the word (the message) testifying to the Jews that the Messiah was Jesus. 6 And when they opposed him, and threw insults at him, he shook out his garments and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I’m innocent. From now on I’m going to the Gentiles.” {‘Smaller’ scope crash and armageddon came in 70 CE. Israel as microcosm, all nations as full scope and macrocosm.} 7 And Paul left there and went to the house of a man named Titius Justus, a worshiper of God. His house was next door to the synagogue. 8 Also Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, along with all his household. And many of the Corinthians listening to Paul believed and were baptized. 9 And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Don’t be afraid, but go on speaking and don’t be silent, 10 for I’m with you, and no one will attack to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.” 11 And Paul stayed a year and six months, teaching the word/message of God among them.

     12 But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Hebrew leaders of the synagogue made a unified attack on Paul and brought him before the Roman tribunal, 13 saying, “This man is persuading people to worship God contrary to the law.” 14 But when Paul was about to speak in his defense, Gallio said, “If it were a matter of wrongdoing or a vicious crime, I would have reason to accept your complaint! 15 But since it’s a matter of questions about words and names and your own laws, see to it yourselves! I refuse to be a judge of these things.” 16 And he sent them away from the tribunal.

1 Corinthians 15:50-58

 12/12 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

50 - I’ll tell you this {mere} flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor can the perishable inherit the imperishable! {The fading away cannot inherit the enduring. You mean we are not inherently immortal!?} 51 And listen! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep (in death, opposite of life and living, Eccles.9:5,10} but we shall all be changed! 52 In a moment! In a mere twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for the trumpet will sound. And the dead will be raised imperishable, and we too (who remain) shall be changed. 53 For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then, shall come to pass, the saying that’s written, “Death is swallowed up in victory!” 55 “O death, where has gone your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin [hamartia - missing the mark] and the power of that sting is the law. {God iS life, and “is perfect”. An iron/unbreakable measuring rod.} 57 But thanks be to God! Who gives us - the victory - through our Lord Jesus Christ! {Perishable and perishing/entropy/imperfection remedied by what’s called God’s Great Plan of Salvation, “the Way”. The way that includes writing his law upon heart, mind and psyche, collectively and individually. Humanity and paradise/perfection sealed.}

     58 Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast and immovable! Always abounding in the Lord’s work, knowing that, in him, your labor is not in vain.

  πŸƒπŸ•Š️12/12 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

7 - Jesus’ favorite disciple (this is how disciple John referred to himself, did his writings in old age) said to Peter, “It’s the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. 8 The other disciples came to shore in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from land, only by about a hundred yards.

     9 And when they got there, they saw a charcoal fire set, with fish on it, and some bread. 10 Jesus said, “Bring some of the fish you’ve just caught!” 11 So Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of 153 large fish, and although there were so many, the net didn’t tear. 12 Jesus said, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples said, “Who are you?” For they knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus gave them some bread and some fish. 14 This was now the third time he revealed himself to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than all this?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my sheep.”

1 Corinthians 15:41-49

 12/11 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

(About the resurrection, and the differences of bodies continued.) 41 - There is a glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon. And still another glory of the stars, and each star differs from star in glory.

     42 So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, is raised imperishable. 43 It’s sown in dishonor, raised in glory. It’s sown in weakness, raised in power. 44 It’s sown a natural [psuchikos - natural, unspiritual, worldly] body, and is raised a spiritual [pneumatikos - pertains to the spirit, influenced by the Holy Spirit (a) spiritual] body. If there’s a natural body, there’s a spiritual. 45 And thus it’s written, “The first man Adam became a living being”, the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 But it’s not the spiritual that’s first but the natural. And then the spiritual. 47 The first, Adam, was from earth, a person of dust, the second was from heaven. 48 As Adam was of dust, so also are all those of dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven [epouranios - heavenly, celestial, divine]. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the person of dust, we shall bear also the image [eikΓ³n - image, likeness, from eikō - meaning to be like and a resemblance to] the person from heaven.

30 - Jesus did many other signs while still with his disciples, which are not written of in this book. 31 But these are written so you may believe. That you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing have life in his name. {Enduring Life.}

     21 Jesus again revealed himself to the disciples. This was by the Sea of Tiberias (eastern side of Lake/Sea of Galilee). 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. 3 Simon said to them, “I’m going fishing.” And they said to him, “We’ll go too.” And so they fished through the night, and caught nothing. 4 But just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples didn’t know it was him. 5 Jesus called out to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No, not a one.” 6 He said, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you’ll find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. 1 Corinthians 15:34-40

 12/10 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

34 - Wake up! To what is right, and don’t go on sinning! For some have no knowledge of God! I say this to your shame. 35 So someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body?” 36 Oh senseless ones! What you plant doesn’t sprout to life unless it dies. {It’s no longer a seed.} 37 And what you plant isn’t the body that will be, but a bare kernel of wheat or some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body. 39 For not all are the same, but there is one form for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and yet another for fish. 40 And there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, and the glory of the heavenly is one way, and the glory of the earthly, another. JOHN 20:19-29

   πŸƒπŸ•Š️12/10 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

(Disciple John’s account.) 19 - On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the disciples were together, and they had the doors locked for fear of the leaders, when Jesus came and stood among them, and he said, “Peace be with you.”

     20 He showed them the wounds on his hands and his side. And the disciples were glad when they saw him. 21 And again he said, “Peace be with you.” And then he told them, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And when he had said this, he blew his breath upon them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit”. [Pneuma - biblehub dot com - understood to be a vital force or essence, often associated with life and consciousness; used by Hebrews and Greeks for the presence and work of God in the life of believers] {Old Testament, Shekinah? - Wiktionary - noun, visible manifestation of the presence of God; Wikipedia - dwelling or settling, referring to the presence of God in a place; Blog, Israel Biblical Studies dot com - shekinah (glory) (Χ©Χ›Χ™Χ Χ”) is the Hebrew word for the manifestation of God's presence in the physical world.}

     23 “If anyone forgives [aphiΓ©mi - sends away, leaves (off), lets go of, forgives {forgets, overlooks?] sins [hamartia - missing the mark] their missing the mark is forgiven, and if they do not, they are not forgiven.” {If we disregard other’s shortcomings - silence is golden, displaying neither approval, nor disapproval, just proclaim the news of death overcome and the sky’s the limit as they say, then, our, shortcomings, as well, will be overlooked..      24 Now the disciple Thomas, called the Twin, wasn’t with them at the time. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We’ve seen the Lord!” But Thomas said, “Unless I see the marks in his hands, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and touch the wound in his side, I will not believe!”

     26 Eight days later, his disciples were there again, but this time Thomas was with them. The doors again were locked, and Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands, and touch my side. Don’t disbelieve. Believe.” 28 Thomas exclaimed, “Oh my Lord! Oh my God!” {He really rose out from death!} 29 Jesus said, “Have you believed because you’ve seen me? {Touched me, saw me eat.} Blessed are those who believe, and have not seen.” (Not yet outwardly and face to face.)

1 Corinthians 15 27-33

12/09 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

27 - For “God has put all(the word things was inserted here) in subjection under Jesus’ feet.” But when it says, “all(things) are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. [“All-things” is from the Greek word, pas, which means every, all, the whole. “Things” was inserted? I think the translators just couldn’t reaLLy believe, and that they were steeped in that ancient, spiritual propaganda myth of inherent immortality and forever afterlife physical torment).] 28 When all(things) [pas] are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all(things) in subjection under him, that God may be all in all [pas en pas].

     {So let’s read that minus the inserted word “things” — For “God has put all in subjection under Jesus’ feet.” But when it says, “all are put in subjection,” it is plain it doesn’t include He who put all in subjection under him. 28 When all are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to He who put all in subjection under him, so that God may be all in all.

     That’s 7 all’s, 5 which repeat “all subjected under/to Jesus”. I think the Spirit/Presence of God, who “inspired the scriptures” wanted it repeated five times right here! The last two all’s - so God will be all in all - is of course the same exact word, pas - all.}

     29 Otherwise, what do people mean by being baptized on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised, why are people baptized for them? What would be the point? 30 And why are we in danger every single day? 31 I die every day! 32 What do I gain if, humanly speaking, I fought with beasts at Ephesus? If there’s no resurrection! “Let us eat and drink! For tomorrow we die.” 33 Don’t be misled: “Bad company ruins good character [Γ©thos - habits, manner, customs, morals].” {Just because of a very few translation errors and emphasis on the harshest interpretations of some words and verses, we should not be misled into tossing out the scripture (especially, even specifically, the New Testament …a testament from God’s point of view? And ironclad promises to us. And noT very harsh.. only cause and effect, which can be rather drastic. As imperfection, is an abyss of potential.. so it’s cause and effect mixed with thinking beings (angelos and anthropos) exercising power of choice. (Thank goodness limited power of choice.) Cause and effect as God’s wrath.. slow burn, gehenna ..that can flare up.. Entropy. The fire/crucible that consumes, God’s wrath as opposed to only creating an ant farm. The dis-ease as part of the cure? Gotten out of the way first?} {God being life itself, and “is perfect” thus nonfading, non entropic.}

MARK 16 12-18

 πŸƒπŸ•Š️12/09 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

(Mark’s account, likely by interview, said to be the first one written. But these verses are part of a disputed ending.)

     12 - After these things Jesus appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country. 13 And they went back and told the rest what had happened, but they didn’t believe them.

     14 Afterward he appeared to the eleven as they were reclining at table, and told them their unbelief was due to hardness of heart, as they hadn’t believed those who saw him after he had risen. [Been resurrected, 1Cor.15:23.] 15 And he said, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel [euaggelion - good news or tidings] to the whole creation. 16 The one believing and baptized, sozo [meaning I save, heal, preserve, rescue] but the disbelieving [apisteΓ³ - disbelieving, unfaithful, doubting] is {still} judged guilty. {Not yet pardoned and record struck.} 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe, in my name they will cast out demons, will speak in new tongues {have a new message? A new word..} 18 and if they pick up serpents or if drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them. They will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” {This last, certainly true during the Lord’s long second advent consisting of 3 parts — (1)“the” millennium, (2)the releasing of the adversary/first gone rogue one (& company) and his gathering of descendants of mortal survivors of the apocalypse, to war, surrounding the millennial Jerusalem - not yet the “New Jerusalem” - and then his fiery, final defeat. And third, (3)the GWT judgment ‘day’.

See the names and pattern. πŸ€“And because of the pattern, I think the release of the adversary, the gathering and the war, is 500 years - between the Sabbath millennium (7th) and GWT judgment ‘day’ as the 2nd half of an 8th millennium, the “8th day” and “last great day” Lev.23:36, and Jn.7:37 -> CU/Christian Universalism. 1 Corinthians 15 18-26

12/08 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

18 - If there’s no resurrection, then those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished {are forever gone}. 19 If in Christ we have expectation in this life only, we are of all people, the most to be pitied!

     20 But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead [nekros - (from being) dead, deceased, lifeless, without life]. And so he is THE firstfruits and first of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. {This, with Mt.13:33, key word 3, Which says “the kingdom is like a woman working leaven into three loaves” three harvests.} But each in their own order — (1)Christ THE firstfruits {barley harvest} then (2)at his coming those who belong to Christ {the wheat}. 24 Then (3)comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying eveRy rule and every authority - and - power [overflowing grape harvest, Rev.21:1-5]. 25 For he must reign until he has put all enmity under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. [1Tim.4:10 - “God is savior of all.”]

LUKE 24 36-48

   πŸƒπŸ•Š️12/08 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

36 - As they were talking these things over, Jesus himself stood among them, and said, “Peace to you.”

     37 But this startled them, and they were frightened for they thought they were seeing a ghost.

     38 And he said, “Why are you troubled? And doubts rise in your hearts? 39 Look at my hands and feet. And see that it’s I myself. Touch me, for a spirit doesn’t have flesh and bones. As you see that I have.” 40 And while he was saying this, he showed them his hands and feet.

     41 While they were joyfully wondering, but not quite able to believe, he asked, “Have you anything to eat?” 42 So they gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he ate it.

     44 Then he said to them, “This is what I told you, that what’s written about me in the Law of Moses and in the Prophets and in the Psalms, has to be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. 46 And said, “This is what’s written, that the Christ would suffer, and would rise from the dead [nekros - dead, deceased, lifeless, without life] on the third day. 47 And that repentance [metanoia - a change of mind, change in the inner person, a turning away and to] would be proclaimed, in Messiah/Christ’s name, to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem ..Turning, proclaimed for the forgiveness {the ‘problem’ being God is Life, and “is Perfect” Mt.5:48} [for aphesis - forgiveness, release, remission, cancel of debt, struck from the record, complete pardon] of sins [(greek) hamartia - missing the mark, imperfection]. {The biG cause and effect defeated - the remedy “built in from the formation”/creation - death subdued, overcome by Jesus/Christ Crucified, the rider on the white horse.. the white horse being the Gospel, the Truth ..which “openly triumphed over powers and principalities”. Today’s verses from the letters closely tie in with these gospel (life and 1st brief advent of Jesus) verses.}

     48 And he said, “You are witnesses of these things.”

Revelation 18 1-8

 WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

      By Necessity Slightly

             Paraphrased

1 - After this I (John) saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, for the earth was made bright with his glory. 2 And he called out with a mighty voice, “Fallen! Fallen! is Babylon the great! ‘She’ who became a dwelling place for demons! A haunt for every unclean spirit, every unclean bird, for every unclean and detestable beast. {Spirits like, and act like, unclean birds/vultures and detestable beasts.} 3 For all nations have drank the {unclean} wine of the passion [orge - passion, translated often as wrath] {so includes consequences?} of her sexual vices.

     The kings {leaders} of earth {are in bed with} have committed immorality with her. And the merchants of earth have grown rich from the power [dunamis - power, strength, ability, might, miracle, dynamic] of ‘her’ indulgent and wanton/loose living.”

     4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, and thus share in her plagues. 5 For her sins are heaped high as heaven {‘she’ shakes her fist at heaven?} and God has remembered her iniquities [adikΓ©ma - wrongdoings, injustices, offenses]. 6 Pay to her as she has paid to others, and repay her double for her deeds, mix a double portion for her in the cup - she - mixed. 7 As she glorified [doxazΓ³ - bestowed glory, honored, praised] herself and lived in indulgence and wantoness, so give her its torment and mourning. Because in the heart of herself she says, ‘I am a queen, not a widow, and mourning I shall not see.’ 8 For this reason her plagues [plΓ©gΓ© - plagues, wounds, afflictions, blows] will come in a day, death, mourning, famine. And she will be destroyed by fire, for mighty is the LORD God who judges her.” {Only Good and True can stand, and endure.}

1 Corinthians 15:9-17

12/07 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

9 -  For I (Paul) am the least of the apostles. Actually unworthy to be called an apostle! Because I persecuted the church/believers of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than anyone, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. 11 So whether then it was I or they, so we preach [kΓ©russΓ³ - proclaim, preach, herald] and so you believed.

     12 Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is useless and your faith is empty. 15 And so we are even found to be lying about God, because we testified about him, that he raised Christ, when if the dead are not raised, then Christ did not rise. 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is without value, and you are still in your sins [hamartia - missing the mark/imperfection-entropy]. {The worm that doesn’t quit - life as we presently know it as a ‘parable’ of the decomposing apple, and its worm, the decomposing, that does not quit. Entropy, this slow burning gehenna crucible and sieve that separates the chaff from off the wheat, which continues until one of TWO vivifications - 1Thes.4:16-17, or Rev.21:5, 1Cor.15:24-28. ACTS 17 15-34

         WeekLy BooK oF Acts

15 -  Those who accompanied Paul on his way brought him as far as Athens, and after receiving instructions for Silas and Timothy to come to him as soon as possible, they went back. 16 And while Paul was waiting for Silas and Timothy in Athens, his spirit was provoked within him as he saw that the city was full of idols. 17 So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jewish and devoted persons, and in the marketplace, every day, with whoever happened to be there. 18 Some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers also were conversing with him. And some said, “What is this babbler saying?” Others said, “He seems to be a preacher of foreign divinities”—because he was preaching Jesus and the resurrection. 19 And they brought him to the Areopagus, saying, “May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting? 20 For you bring some strange things to our ears. And wish to know what these things mean.” 21 Now many Athenians and foreigners who lived there would spend their days in nothing except telling or hearing something new. 22 So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. 23 For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: ‘To the unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this is what I am proclaiming to you. 24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn’t live in temples made by man, 25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. 26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind that lives on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, 28 for ‘In him we live and move and have our being’ as some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are indeed his offspring.’ 29 Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold, silver, or stone, an image formed by the creative art and imagination of man. 30 Those times of ignorance God has overlooked, but now he instructs all people everywhere to turn, 31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man who he has appointed. And of this he has given assurance to all by raising that man from the dead.”

     32 Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked. But others said, “We will hear you again about this.” 33 At that, Paul went on from the Areopagus. 34 But some joined him and believed, among whom were Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and some others.

1 - Now I would remind you of the good news I proclaimed to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are saved, if you hold fast to it - unless your belief was vain/not genuine. 3 For I proclaimed and delivered to you, as of first importance, what I, also, received: that Christ died for our sins [hamartia - missing the mark] as told in the Scriptures. 4 That he was buried, and then raised on the third day, as the Scriptures say. 5 And that he appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James (Jesus’ natural/birth brother, Gal.1:19) then again to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.

   πŸƒπŸ•Š️12/06 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

13 - On the very same day (on Firstfruits which is always on the day after the weekly Sabbath) two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 And they were talking with one another about all that had happened. 15 And while they were talking, Jesus himself drew near and walked with them. 16 But their eyes were kept from recognizing him. 17 And he said to them, “What is it that you are talking about as you walk along?” And they stopped, looking sad, 18 and the one named Cleopas said, “Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who doesn’t know what has happened there?” 19 And Jesus said, “What things?” And they answered, “Concerning Jesus of Nazareth! Who was a prophet before God and all the people, mighty in deed and word. 20 And the leaders, our chief priests, delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified! 21 But we had hoped that he was the one chosen to redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it’s now the third day since, 22 and some women of our company amazed us by saying they were at the tomb early this morning 23 and found it empty! And that they saw a vision of angels who said he’s alive! 24 Then some others of us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said.”

     25 Then Jesus said, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart, do you not believe all which the prophets spoke? 26 Wasn’t it necessary the Christ should suffer these things? And then enter his glory?” [1Pet.1:11 - Moses and the prophets predicted the sufferings of Messiah and the glories that would follow.] 27 And beginning with Moses, he explained the Scriptures written about him.

     28 When they were drawing near to the village, he seemed as though he would keep walking, 29 but they urged him, saying, “Stay with us! For it is toward evening and the day is about over.” So he went with them.

1 Corinthians 14:29-40

 12/05 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

29 - So in meeting, let two or three prophets speak, and let the others consider with discernment what is said. 30 And if then a revelation is given to another, the first should let that one speak. 31 So that all may prophesy one by one, and all may learn together and be encouraged. 32 One who prophecies is in control of their own spirit. {It’s not like being ‘possessed’ as would occur in pagan observances and rites.} 33 For God is a God of peace, not confusion [akatastasia -disorder, confusion, instability, tumult, chaos; from - a - not, and katastasis - order, stability]. As in all the meetings of believers, 34 the women in meeting should keep silence not talking [laleΓ³ - conversing, speaking, talking, from lalos - talkative] but should be in order, as the Law also says. 35 If there are questions they desire to learn, they can ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful to be talkative in church.

     36 Is it from you the word of God came? Or are you the only ones it has come to? 37 If anyone thinks that they are a prophet, or spiritual, they should acknowledge that the things I am writing to you are instructions of the Lord. 38 If anyone doesn’t recognize this, ignore them. 39 So, my brethren, earnestly desire to prophesy, and don’t forbid speaking in tongues. 40 But let all things be done decently and in order.

This third sacred day is Firstfruits, which always follows the regular weekly Sabbath of the week. So Firstfruits begins ‘saturday’ at sunset as the weekly Sabbath is ending. There are three Sabbaths - no work days - of Spring holy [qodesh - set apart] week, the first and last/7th day of Unleavened Bread, and the regular, weekly ‘saturday’ Sabbath - which is from sunset friday to sunset saturday. Jesus said he would be “in the grave for three days and three nights”. Therefore Passover that year fell upon a Wednesday.)

     1 - When (the next day, thursday) the Sabbath (of 1st Unleavened Bread day) was past, Salome, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, bought spices and prepared them (during friday) for his tomb. {Then they rested during regular weekly Sabbath.} 2 And very early on the first day of the week (sunday/Firstfruits) when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. 3 And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” 4 But when they got there, they saw the stone had been rolled away. 5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right, dressed in a white robe, and they were frightened. 6 And he said to them, “Don’t be afraid. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen, he is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 Go and tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you’ll see him, just as he told you would happen.” 8 And they hurried out, not knowing what to think, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

     [Some of the earliest manuscripts don’t include 16:9–20, an older ending to Mark’s account.] 9 Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons. 10 She went to the others who had been with him and told them as they were mourning and grieving. 11 But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they didn’t believe it.

     LUKE 24:1-12

1 - Then on the first day of the week, at dawn, the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they went in the body of the Lord Jesus wasn’t there. 4 While they were puzzled and wondering about it, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. 5 The women were frightened and shied away. But the men said, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, when he was in Galilee 7 how the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and rise on the third day.” 8 And so they remembered his words, 9 and going back from the tomb they told all of this to the eleven and the others. 10 Now it was Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told it to the apostles, 11 but it seemed to them like an idle tale, and they didn’t pay any attention. 12 But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. And stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths off to the side. And he went away wondering.

1 Corinthians 14:16-24

12/03 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

(“Speaking in tongues” continued.) 16 - Otherwise, if you give thanks with your spirit, how can someone new coming in from outside say “Amen” to your thanksgiving when they don’t know what you’re saying? 17 For you may be giving thanks well enough, but the other person is not being built up and encouraged.18 I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. 19 Nevertheless, in church (in meeting) I would rather speak five words that will instruct others, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

     20 Don’t be children in your thinking! Be infants in evil! But in your thinking be mature. 21 In the Law (here meaning Old Testament) it’s written, “By people of strange tongues and by the lips of foreigners will I speak to this people, and even then they will not listen to me, says the Lord” [Isaiah 28:11]. 22 Thus tongues {orderly, here and there?} are a sign not for believers but for unbelievers, while prophecy is a sign not for unbelievers but for believers.

     23 But if the whole church (group/ecclesia) comes together and everyone is speaking/praying in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers come in, won’t they say you’re out of your minds? 24 But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or outsider comes in, they will become convinced and will ask questions and look into it all.

MATTHEW 27:62-66

  πŸƒπŸ•Š️12/03 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

62 - It was now the next day, that is, after the day of Preparation (Passover is a prep day for the feast and Spring holy week, which days begin at sunset, not midnight, so “Passover Supper, being after sunset, is actually on 1st U.B. day - the days, Passover and U.B. were each called by both names, as was the entire week). The leaders, the chief priests and Pharisees, requested a meeting with Pilate 63 and they said, “Sir, we remember how that impostor said that after three days he would rise. 64 Therefore if you will, order the tomb to be made secure until the third day, lest his disciples go and steal him away and tell the people, ‘He has risen from the dead,’ and the last fraud will be worse than the first!” 65 Pilate said, “You have a guard of soldiers. Go, make it as secure as you can.” 66 So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone, and then setting a guard over it.

1 Corinthians 14:9-15

12/02 ~ From New Testament Letters

  πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

9 - So it is with you, if what you say isn’t intelligible, how will anyone know what is being said? For you will be just speaking into the air. 10 There are doubtless many different languages in the world, and none are without meaning. 11 But if I don’t know the meaning of the language, I will be a foreigner to the speaker, and the speaker a foreigner to me. 12 So it is with you, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church (the believers).

     13 Therefore, one who speaks in an unknown tongue should pray that they can interpret. 14 For if I pray ‘in tongues’ my spirit prays, but my mind is not being useful. 15 What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will pray with my mind also. I will sing praise with my spirit, but I will sing with my mind also. {We should be able to understand what we are praying? Uttering in tongues, frees the mind.. to hear what the Spirit is praying/inspiring in prayer. So occurs as in a pattern? Utterance followed by understanding/interpretation.}
