09-30 - LUKE 17 20-37

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

  πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

20 - Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come. He said to them, “The kingdom of God doesn’t come with observation” [paratαΈ—rΔ“sis - watching like a guard, with close scrutiny - only used in this verse, Lk.17:20]. {Doesn’t come with definite parameters? So not easily observed.. Is more like the wind..and tides?}

     21 “Nor do they say, ‘here it is! or there it is!’ for look! the kingdom of God is [entos - within, inside, among] you.” {When it is in us, then it is among us.}

     22 And to his disciples he said, “The days are coming when you will wish to see one of these days of the Son of Man, but you won’t. 23 And they’ll say to you, ‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’ But don’t listen to, nor follow them. 24 For in the same way as lightning flashes - and lights up the starry sky from one side of heaven to the other - so will the Son of Man be in that day.

     25 But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26 As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be then. 27 They were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day came when Noah went into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them.” {I think this goes with Dn.12:11-12 wiTh Lk.19:41,44 aNd 1Cor.3:16.. A math problem. Father loves a good riddle? Both going on at the same time. Oh, I forgot Rev.2:10 - Dn.12:11 escalates into the most critical during the last “ten days? Rev.2:10}

     28 “Also, same as it was in the days of Lot. They were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 Then, on the same day, when Lot came out of Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from above and destroyed them.” (Mt.13:30.) 30 “And so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed [apokalΓ½ptō - uncovered, revealed, made plain]. 31 And on that day, let the one who is on the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take his goods with him, and likewise let the one who is in the field not turn back [70 CE, later Dn.12:11]. 32 Remember Lot's wife. 33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, but whoever lets loose his life will keep it. 34 I tell you - in that night - there will be two in one bed. One will be taken and the other left. 35 There will be two women grinding together. One will be taken and the other left.” {Mt.13:30} 37 And they asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said, “Where the corpse is, there the vultures [aetos - eagle, “throughout the scripture the eagle stands for swiftness, sharp vision {and grasp} exalted vantage point”.. but also other side of the coin, when having to do with the Spirit of God, it’s both mercy and judgment {I think discernment and judgment within. What is most effective? Outward, being judged? Or inner, convinced, judging of self? Not saying there won’t be a few hard cases, but Jn.12:32! Now think the cruel despots or other doers of truly, truly horrendous things, very hurtful, cruel things. On that great - GWT judgment ‘day’ surely, the initial conditions of some, the inner, outside of the Light, darkness, gnashing of teeth, is portrayed in the rich man and Lazarus parable and in the outside of the vision narrative of Rev.22. But because Jesus “will draw all” (Jn.12:32) that will progress into the weeping.. Just imagine the heart wrenching remorse of some..

     But then, at Rev.21:5 - after GWT ‘day’/aion (an “aionion kolasis” / eonian korrection / age of correction - God says “behold! I make all new!” Greek word “pas”, all. Translators inserted “things”. Maybe they just couldn’t really believe? The Good News, is that Good!} “the predator birds will gather.” {Oops I fell down a vulture/aetos rabbit hole.. been a long day!}

1 - From Paul, an apostle—not appointed by men nor any man, but appointed by Jesus Christ, and by God the Father, who raised him from the dead. 2 And from all the brothers who are with me {was a man’s world.. but in Eden, God to Eve was not pronouncing a curse, but was prophesying that the stronger would rule the not as strong. I can’t speak concerning other faiths, but Christianity has a tendency to remove that curse (effect from a cause). The cause being imperfection, an abyss of potential. Which all genuinely able to think and reason beings would be bound to drift into that condition of imperfect - so! God engineered it so this unavoidable journey through this all important contrast would be universally one and done! God had two choices for creation? Ant Farm, or Total ‘herd’ Immunity? God iS Life so witnesses and lives through all things that ever occur? And created thinking beings anyway!}

Delivered and rescued, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom is the glory forever. Amen.

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

  πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

(Jesus continues “the parable of the prodigal son”, note: a joyful father, not at all angry.) 21 - “And the son,” {who had gone away and wasted his inheritance on riotous living} “said to his father, ‘Father, I’ve sinned against heaven and you. I’m no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 But the father, called his workers and said, ‘Bring the best robe! And put it on him! And put a ring on his finger! And shoes for his feet! 23 And get ready the fatted calf and let us eat and celebrate! 24 For my son was dead! But now he’s alive! He was lost, and now he’s found!’ And they began to celebrate and make merry.

     25 Now his older son was in the field, and as he came near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 And he called one of the hired servants and asked what was going on. 27 And he answered, ‘Your brother has come home, and your father has killed the fatted calf, because he has received him back alive and well.’ 28 But now the older son was aggrieved and angry. So he refused to go in, and his father, learning of it, came out and tried to talk to him. 29 But he answered, ‘Father, I’ve worked and served you these many years. And I’ve not run off and left the work for others! Yet you never even gave me a young goat, that I might celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours comes, who has squandered your property with prostitutes, you killed the fatted calf for him!’ 31 And the father said to him, ‘But son, you’re always with me. And all which I have is yours.’”

ACTS 7 1-16 O T Summary Part 1

    Book of the Acts of the First Believers

1 - Then the high priest asked Stephen, “Are these charges true?” 2 Stephen said, “Brothers, and fathers, listen. The God of glory, long ago, appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Harran (in the northwest Mesopotamian region). 3 God told him ‘Leave your country and your people, and go to the land that I will show you.’

     4 So he left the land of the Chaldeans and he settled in Harran. And then, after the death of his father, God sent him to this land, where we are now. 5 He gave him no inheritance, not even enough land to set his foot on. But God promised him, he and his descendants after him, would possess this land. Even though at that time, Abraham had no child.

     6 And God also told him, ‘For four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country which isn’t their own. They will be enslaved and mistreated. (Israel ‘microcosm’ - world macro.) 7 But I will punish that nation. And afterward they will come out and will worship me⛲️here in this place.’” {From where, during the Lord’s long second advent,  the kingdom of God will spread and grow out from. And then, after “the regeneration” [palin/again-genesis] the River of Life will flow from the throne of God from there ..the lion will eat straw like the ox, the bear and cow will graze together, Isaiah 11:7.}

     8 “Then he gave Abraham the covenant/agreement/contract of promises of circumcision. And Abraham became the father of Isaac and circumcised him “eight” days after his birth. Later Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob became the father of the twelve patriarchs.” [The fathers of the twelve tribes.]

     9 “Now, BECAUSE the patriarchs were jealous of Joseph, THEY sold him as a slave into Egypt. But God was with him, 10 rescued him from all his troubles, and gave him wisdom, because of which he became well thought of and under the goodwill of Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Pharaoh even made him ruler over Egypt and of all his palace! 11 But then a famine struck all Egypt and Canaan, bringing great suffering, and our ancestors back in this land, couldn’t find food. 12 When Jacob heard there was grain in Egypt” (stored for Egypt, by Joseph, whom God had warned of the coming drought by a dream Joseph, through God’s Spirit, interpreted for Pharoah) “he sent for our forefathers, the brothers of Joseph, on their first visit to Egypt. 13 But it was on their second visit, that Joseph told them who he was. And Pharaoh learned it too. 14 After this, Joseph sent for his father Jacob and the whole family, seventy-five in all. 15 So Jacob went down to Egypt, and that’s where he and our ancestors died. 16 Their bodies were later brought back to the land, to Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham had bought with silver, from the sons of Hamor at Shechem.” (They died and slept.. redeemed with silver, so to speak, thirty pieces..)

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

     πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

6 - Now we tell you, in the name of our Lord Jesus, to keep distance from a believer who’s walking in idleness and not as you received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to imitate us, that we were not idle when we were with you. 8 Not eating someone else’s bread without earning it. But we worked every day, that we might not be a burden to anyone. 9 It wasn’t because we don’t have that right, but to give you an example to follow. 10 For even when we were with you, we would give you this instruction - If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. {The early believers had communal meals.} 11 For we hear that some among you are walking in idleness, and with all that free time, acting as busy bodies. 12 Now such persons we boldly yet sincerely ask and encourage in the Lord Jesus, to work quietly and to earn their own living. {Leads to all wanting free ride? Thus collapse due to lack.}

     13 As for you, brethren, don’t grow weary in doing good! 14 If there’s someone who doesn’t carry through with what we say in this letter, take note of that one, and avoid them. 15 Don’t regard them as an enemy! But warn them as a fellow believer in the family of God.

    16 Now may the Lord of peace give you peace! At all times, and in every way. And the Lord be with you all.

     17 And I, Paul, sign this letter with my own hand, the sign of genuineness in all my letters. 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you all. Paul.

09-28 - LUKE 15 11-20

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

  πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

11 - Jesus told a parable, “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of inheritance that’s coming to me.’ So he did, 13 and not many days later, the young son gathered all he had, and took a journey into a far land, and there he wasted everything in reckless living. 14 And when he had spent all, a severe famine arose, and he began to be hungry. 15 So he hired himself out to one of the farmers of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed the pigs. 16 And he was longing to be fed with the pods the pigs ate! But no one gave him anything to eat.

     17 Then he came to himself and said, “How many of my father's hired servants have more than enough food to eat!? And here I perish with hunger! 18 I will go back to my father, and I’ll say to him, ‘Father, I’ve sinned against heaven and you, 19 and I’m no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.’” 20 And so he journeyed home to his father.

     And while he was still a distance away, his father saw him coming, and his heart swelled! He ran to meet him and embraced him and kissed him!”

     {Where’s the angry Father who’s fiery rage has to be appeased by a blood sacrifice? Perhaps we’ve misread the atonement. Atonement it is! But what is really appeased? Has to be appeased? Strong enough for all. Cannot miss the mark, because God “is Perfect”. Mt.5:48.}

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

     πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

11 - Therefore God sends [pempΓ³ - send, transmit, permit to go, put forth - occurred seventy nine times, never translated permitted, Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance includes “thrust in”] {let happen(?} a strong delusion, that they would believe what is false. {Is there a stronger delusion - with more effect - than creation just happened? There’s two top strong delusions. A sort of king and priest collusion? So to speak..}12 In order that should be judged all the noT [pisteuΓ³ - belief, faith, trust] (of) the truth, and (of the) approval [eudokeΓ³ - well pleased with, taking delight in, approval] (of) the [adikia - injustice, unrighteousness, wrongdoing]. {According to God, creator/sustainer! But instead thinks well of the false}.

     13 We however always give thanks to God for you brethren! Beloved of the LORD! For he has chosen you from the beginning [archΓ© - beginning, origin] for {the role in this drama of} salvation by sanctification [hagiasmos - by consecration, by setting apart for a sacred purpose]. {For God’s purpose. “All the world’s a stage” - Shakespeare. “And the ancient of days took his seat” Daniel 7:9.}

     Salvation/rescue/safety by the Spirit(/Presence of God) and belief in the truth. {The “end-aim” - a saturation/sealing, saturated with God’s Spirit/Presence and also with the Truth - “sealed”.}

     14 To this he has called you. Called us by our (good news) gospel, to wit, the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus!

     15 So then, stand firm and hold to the traditions that we taught you, either by our spoken word or written by letter. 16 And may our Lord Jesus himself, and God our Father, who is loving us and giving us an enduring {never fading} comfort, and who by grace, gives us the good hope [elpis - expectation], 17 may he comfort your hearts and make them steadfast in every good work and word.

     3:1 - Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the message of the LORD may run its course speedily and be honored, as has happened among you. 2 And that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith! 3 But the LORD is faithful. He will establish you, and guard you against the evil one. 4 And we have confidence in the Lord Jesus about you, that you are doing and will do the things the gospel has instructed. 5 And may the LORD direct your hearts to the love of God, and into the faithfulness and steadfastness of Christ Jesus.

Revelation - 9 1-12

 BooK of Revelation

                  a paraphrased study

REVIEW - 8:13 Then I (John) saw an eagle, and it was flying overhead and cried out with a loud voice -  “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell upon earth, because of the soundings of the three trumpets, the other three angels are about to sound!” (After the environmental effects and smoke, 8:12.)

     1 - Then I saw the fifth angel blow his trumpet, and a star fell from heaven to earth, and it was given the key to the pit of the abyss. {The fall, straying, results in imperfection, which is an abyss of potential.} 2 And he opened the pit of the abyss, and from it rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace. And both the sun and the air were darkened from the smoke that came from the abyss.

     3 And then out from the smoke {of war?} came locusts. And they had power like the power of scorpions (painful, venomous sting, but doesn’t kill, many eyes, can burrow.) 4 They were told (the command was) not to harm the grass of earth, or any green plant, or any tree. But only those who do noT have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 And it was granted to them, not to kill, but to torment for five months. And the torment was like the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. 6 And in those days people will go after death and won’t find [heuriskΓ³ - find, obtain, discover] it. They’ll long for dying (off), but death from them will flee.

     7 The appearance {of something modern? described by John around 95 CE} of the locusts were like horses prepared for battle. On their heads was something that looked like shimmering crowns (verse says “something like gold crowns”). Their faces were like human faces, 8 their hair like a woman's hair, and their teeth like lions' teeth. 9 They had breastplates like iron, and the noise of their wings was like the noise of many chariots and horses rushing into battle. 10 They have tails that sting, and their power to hurt people for five months is in the tails. 11 They have as king over them the angel of the abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek is Apollyon. (Was a high angel! Went rogue with others. Then name change?)

     12 The first woe has passed (vs.5 says it lasts five months. Martial law? After war and resulting smoky times?) Behold, two woes are still to come.

09-27 - LUKE 15 1-10

1 - Now the tax collectors (tax collectors for Imperial Rome.. so not very well liked) and notorious sinners {harlots, drunkards, etc. of the common people, higher ‘class’ people could hide being notorious} were drawing near to listen to him. 2 So the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and even eats with them!”

     3 So he told them this parable, 4 “What one of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one, doesn’t leave the ninety-nine in the field, and go after the lost one until he finds it? 5 And when he’s found it, he rejoices and carries it home on his shoulder. 6 And when he’s home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I’ve found my lost sheep!’ 7 In the same way, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one rebel who turns, than over ninety-nine {so called} righteous ones. 8 Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one, doesn’t light a lamp, sweep the house and look diligently until she finds it? 9 And when she’s found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I’ve found the coin I lost.’ 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner [hamartōlΓ³s - an adjective, derived from hamartΓ‘nō - which in turn, is from hamartia - missing the mark, and nō - wide, so missing wide of the mark] who repents.” {Don’t forget, the Pharisees, as a group/party {in sheep’s clothing} were robbing widow’s houses..)

09-27 - 2 Thess 2: 1-10 ⭐️⭐️

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

     πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

1 - Now, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to be unsettled of mind nor quickly alarmed concerning the day of the LORD. Not by a spirit {trend}, a word, or even a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that it has come. {Day of judgment for man’s world and empires, the “judgment bar/seat of Christ” the consequences, namely entropy on steroids, ultimately Is.24:20/Rev.4:10, because of Rev.16:14-15-16, which is Mt.13:30.}

     3 Let no one deceive you! Or mislead you in any way. For that day doesn’t come, unless the rebellion [apostasia - apostasy, rebellion, defection, falling away] comes first. {Defecting from what? From the faith! It migrated after 70 CE, and then also was given the wings of an eagle! Rev.12:6,14 - the chapter being the middle version of three tellings of the revelation vision — What was once called Christendom, has fallen away from the faith. An of-the-world “false prophet” has “seated man in the temple as god”/highest power, producing this next..}

     And (then) the man [anthropos - man, mankind] of lawlessness is made plain {clearly seen} [apokalΓ½ptō - from apo - away from , and kalupto - cover — take the cover off, disclose -- reveal, make known, especially the inner nature of] …{The day of the LORD, is not until} the mankind of lawlessness is seen and made plain, and (also) the son of destruction [hyiΓ³s: of like nature of apΓ³leia: destruction, ruin, loss, perdition] 4 the opposing, and exalting above and against every god {and idea of god/s?} so as to sit in the temple of God as god, as if himself [heautou - himself, herself, itself, themselves] is God. {Anthropos as highest power, aNd the final a.c.?}

     5 Do you remember how when I was with you I told you these things? 6 And you know what is holding it back now, so it’s revealed in its time. 7 For the mystery of - lawlessness - is already at work! (1Jn, Jude, micro version.) But the restraining {voice?} at present (restrains) until it’s out of the midst. {There is more than one way for a voice and influence to be silenced or gone.} The Greek thought was becoming more “humanistic” than the shared myths of old which spread out from Babel Tower.} 8 And theN, the lawless [anomos - lawless, without law] (one) will be revealed, which the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath of his mouth {fire, but cause & effect}. And will bring to nothing and annul, by the epiphany [epiphaneia - appearing, brightness, from epΓ - on, or fitting, which intensifies phaΓnō - show forth, appear – properly, a fitting manifestation and epiphany] of his coming.

     9 That is the coming of the lawless {both lawlessness and the lawless one} according to the working [energeia - working, activity, power in action] of Satan, with all power [dΓ½namis - force, energy] and false [pseudos - untrue, false] signs and wonders {modern miracles?} 10 And with every deception of wickedness (toward) the (still) perishing (and) anti [against, opposite, hence instead of, denotes contrast] which love of the truth, would not receive, in order to be saved [sozo - saved, rescued from destruction and brought into divine safety]. {Mt.13:30 as Rev.16:14-15-16 oR Mt.25:1-13(10) yes??}

09-26 - LUKE 14 25-35

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

  πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

25 - A large crowd as usual, was following Jesus as he went along. He turned and said, 26 “If anyone comes to me, and doesn’t love his own father and mother and husband or wife, children, brothers and sisters less - yes - and even their own life, less than me, they won’t be able to be my disciple.

     27 Whoever doesn’t carry their own cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. 28 For which of you, wanting to build a tower, won’t first sit down and count the cost, whether you have enough to finish it? 29 Otherwise, after you’ve laid a foundation but are not able to build on it, all who see will begin to mock, 30 saying, ‘Look! This one began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’

     31 Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, won’t sit down and deliberate whether he’s able with ten thousand to meet the other who comes with twenty thousand? 32 And if he can’t, won’t he send a delegation to ask for terms of peace while the other is still a long way off? 33 So anyone who is not able to let loose of all they have, cannot be my disciple. (Can we be a believer, but not yet a disciple?) 34 “Salt is good. But if salt is no longer salty, of what benefit is it? 35 It’s then not good for the soil nor for the dung pile, but is thrown out. Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”

1 - Paul, Silas, and Timothy,

To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus!

     3 We are bound always to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right! For your faith continues to grow. And the love you have for one another is abundant and increasing. 4 And so we have boasted about you in the churches of God! We have boasted about your faith and steadfastness during all your persecutions and troubles, which you are patiently enduring. 5 To us, this is evidence that you’re worthy of the kingdom of God. Or you wouldn’t be suffering because of it! 6 And indeed God considers it just to repay with troubles those who trouble you {reaping as sowing}. 7 And you yourselves will rest with us in the revelation and revealing of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with his mighty angels 8 — in flaming fire, giving retribution to those not knowing God and not obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus {in that day}. 9 On that day they will suffer the penalty [dikΓ© - justice] of aionion (eonian - of the eon/age) doom and ruin, separated from the presence of the Lord and the glory of his might, (Mt.25:10 is to?) 10 wheN he comes to be glorified in his followers, and to be marveled at among all who have believed. {The bound to be(?) fiery doom and ruin, is earthly, not an afterlife of fiery immortal death.} 11 And it’s to this end we always pray for you. That our God may make you worthy of his calling, and may complete his good work of faith in you, by HiS power, 12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him {one day, where, and when, the Mt.25:10 door goes to} according to the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus.

  πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

15 - A man reclining at table with Jesus at the Pharisee’s house heard his parable of the wedding banquet, and said to him, “Blessed is everyone who will eat bread in the kingdom of God!”16 And Jesus said to him, “Yes!” and then he told another parable, “A man once gave a great banquet and invited many to it. 17 And when it was time for the banquet he sent his servant/worker to say to those who had been invited, ‘Come. For everything is ready!’ 18 But they all began to make excuses. First, one said, ‘I’ve bought a field, and I must go and inspect it.’ 19 Another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I must go and see to them. Please have me excused.’ 20 And another said, ‘I’ve married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’

     21 So the servant came back and reported it all to his mister. Then the master of the house was offended! And he said, ‘Go out quickly into the streets, the lanes and the alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame!’

     22 Soon the servant came back and said, ‘Sir, I’ve done as you instructed, and still there’s room!’ 23 So the mister said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and the hedges and invite people to come in, so my banquet may be full. 24 For I tell you, none of those who were invited {and didn’t show} shall share in this banquet.’” (Mt.25:1-13! 09-24 - LUKE 14 7-14

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

  πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

7 - Jesus told a parable to those who were invited, when he noticed how they chose the places of honor he said, 8 “If you’re invited by someone to a wedding banquet, don’t go and sit in one of the seats of honor, 9 lest you be embarrassed if you are asked to sit somewhere else. 10 But when you’re invited, go sit in the lower, more humble seat, then when the host comes, he may say to you, ‘Friend, come sit in this better seat.’ Then you’ll be honored in the presence of everyone sitting at table with you. 11 For everyone who exalts theirself will be humbled, and they who humble theirself will be lifted up.”

     12 Then he said to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, don’t just invite your friends or your siblings and relatives and wealthy neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid. 13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,14 and you’ll be blessed. Because they can’t repay you. And then you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.” [During the wedding banquet/reception of the ten bridesmaid’s parable, Mt.25:1-13. For some time I’ve wondered who are the bridesmaids? Who is the bride.. Or that is, what is the ‘difference’. In a way it’s like a dream? They say we are all the characters in our dreams. So it’s yet the pointing out of the process?

     The bridesmaids meet him at his coming. In the parable, they have oil (Holy Spirit) in their lamps. They’ve been waiting and are prepared and ready when the call is made “the bridegroom is coming!” And so, lamps lit, they meet him. The door is open and they go through to the celebration. And in reality, where do they go? Into what’s called “the” millennium. Six millennium of things running course, so then a seventh millennium, a Sabbath rest from enmity and the adversary. BUT! The bride is the New Jerusalem.. arrayed in radiance and will include all. All reconciled to God, through Jesus. So the bridesmaid’s is the betrothal? All of us are betrothed even now.  But full union is at the “putting on of perfection, thus immortality”. And we become part of the NEW Jerusalem. ..Not sure if I have the full picture, but getting there? Note: the “first” resurrection’s putting on of perfection/immortality is simultaneous with it. But in between the “second” resurrection and its immortality put on, is GWT Judgment/discernment/review/closure ‘day’, second half of the “8th day”/millennium. Rev.20:7-10 is the first half. The three mentions of lake of fire are at huge fiery events. There’s two outlines of God’s work: the week plus one, and within it, the ancient hebrew holy days - Leviticus 23.

     How to be ready? 2Tim.3:16 “all scripture for training.” Especially our New Testament/Testimony.}

AMOS

 πŸŒ΄πŸ‘  Verse 1:1 sent me running to a list of commentaries, lol. So I read a few.. And they, plus I’ve read Amos before, have given me the impression Amos, as a prophet, was saying the world, of his day, and I figure every day, is very messed up, and sure to be calamitous, but God’s message, and paradise, will reach all the ends of Earth and then rule {dwell and hold sway} forever.

From the Prophets - Amos - not long

Israel microcosm, world, macro.

   Quick Summary — “The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills!”

     “You trample on the heads of the poor.. sold the innocent for silver.. and deny justice to the oppressed!  .. Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants .. You say, ‘Do not prophesy.. and stop preaching against’.. “So I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight.” {His wrath as consequences!

     Isaiah 24:20 - the earth will shake to and fro. Rev.10:4 - when the seven thunders make their voices heard (thermonuclear lightning and thunder? The higher and faster moisture rises the bigger and greater the hail. One ‘thunder’ is in the past.}

     1:1 The words of Amos, a shepherd —the vision he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake..

     and Damascus, Gaza, Tyre, Edom, Ammon, Moab …and Judah..

   ..sold the innocent for silver .. you trample on the heads of the poor as on the dust of the ground and deny justice to the oppressed.. 2:14 The swift won’t escape, the strong won’t muster their forces, and the warrior won’t save his life. 15 The archer won’t stand his ground, the fleet-footed soldier won’t get away, and the horseman won’t save his life. 16 Even the bravest warriors will flee.. 3:6 when a trumpet sounds.. 7 Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. ..11 An enemy will enter your land, sap your strength and plunder your palaces ..15 the great houses will be destroyed..

    4:1 .. who oppress the poor and crush the needy.. 6 lack of bread in every city.. 11 yet you have not returned to me, declares the Lord. 12 ..prepare to meet your God. 13 He who formed the mountains, who created the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads upon the heights of the earth — the Lord God Almighty is his name.

5:9  With a blinding flash he destroys the stronghold, and brings the fortified city to ruin..

11 You levy a straw tax on the poor and impose a tax on their grain. Therefore, though you have built stone mansions, you won’t be living in them; though you’ve planted lush vineyards, you won’t be drinking their wine. 12 ..There are those who oppress the innocent, take bribes, and deprive the poor of justice in the courts. 13  Therefore the prudent forbear in such times, for the times are evil. 15 Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the LORD God Almighty will have mercy..

    6:11 ..he will smash the great house into pieces and the small house into bits. 7:14 Amos answered Amaziah, “I was not a prophet nor the son of a prophet, but was a shepherd, and a tender of sycamore trees. 15 But the Lord took me from tending the flock and said, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’ 16 But you say, ‘Do not prophesy.. and stop preaching against the descendants of Isaac.’

17 Therefore this is what the Lord says, ‘Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land’..”

     8:1 What the Sovereign LORD showed me was a basket of ripe fruit. 2 “What do you see, Amos?” he said. “A basket of ripe fruit,” I answered. 6 ..buying the poor for silver, the needy for a pair of shoes and sell the chaff of the wheat.. 8 Will not the land thus tremble, and those who live in it mourn? .. 9 “In that day,” declares the Sovereign LORD, “I will make it dark at noon, darkening the earth in broad daylight. 11 “The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign LORD, “when I will send a famine through the land — not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD. 12 People will stagger..

     9:11 “In that day I will raise up David’s tabernacle. I will repair its broken walls and ruins — and will rebuild it to be as it used to be.. 13 “The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plow, and the planter, by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills, 14 and I will bring my people Israel back from exile. {Ultimately includes us all? When the scales fall from our eyes and we believe, we are “grafted into Israel”. Though this does noT take away from the nation and ethnicity of the Abrahamic, Hebrew nation being gathered back to the land, and back to God. Israel is the prominent example? The micro version of humanity and our being strayed/imperfect/entropic. Which is preferable to ant farm, the only other option? God will accomplish total ‘herd’ immunity. Jerusalem will be (is) God’s capitol.} They will rebuild ruined cities and dwell there. They will plant vineyards and drink the wine. They will create gardens and eat the fruit of them. 15 I will plant Israel in her own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given to them..” {And humanity to its created place, but this important contrast is unavoidable, so he designed and engineered it so it will be one and done! Finished, case solidly proven age to age?}

1 - Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers and sisters, you have no need to have anything written to you. 2 For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the LORD will come like a thief in the night. (πŸ€”Sneakily! No one knows when “but the Father”.) 3 While they are saying, “Peace and security!”then suddenly upon them comes destruction as labor pains come upon a woman with child, and they will not escape it. [Peace - eirΓ©nΓ© - peace, unity; from eirō - to join, tie together into a whole. Security - asphaleia - security, safety, certainty; from A - not, and sphallō - totter.]

     4 But you are not in darkness, that the day should surprise you. 5 For you’re children of the day, and of light. We are not of the night, nor of the darkness. 6 So then let us not be as though asleep, as others, but let us stay awake, and sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep during the night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the covering and protecting breastplate of faith and love. And for a helmet the hope [elpis - expectation!] of {full and complete} salvation. 9 For God has not destined us for wrath {dust to dust/imperfection-entropy/full gone and, or the fiery judgments/gehenna which are all earthly, even during the millennium that is aFter “the” millennium, Rev.20:7-10. There are three mentions of a lake of fire, all at huge fiery events, armageddon, Mt.13:30/Is.24:20-Rev.10:4; at the fiery final defeat of the adversary/accelerator/first gone rogue one&Co. Rev.20:7-10; and at the fiery “palin/again-genesis”/regeneration/re-”genesis” of Rev.21:1-5, “behold! I make aLL new!”}. (Instead of destined for {the role of wrath in this “all the world’s a stage” age, we are destined) to obtain salvation [sΓ³tΓ©ria - welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, safety {Life!}] through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 Who died for us so that we will live with him, whether we may wait and watch [grΓ©goreΓ³ - watch, be vigilant, stay awake and alert] or sleep {in death awaiting}.

     [“For the dead in Christ rise first, then we/those (believers) who are alive will be caught up to join them in the clouds to meet him” 1Thes.4:16,17]. 11 Therefore encourage one another! And build one another up.! Just as you are doing.

     12 We ask you, brothers and sisters, to appreciate those who labor among you, teaching and counseling as leaders and examples in the Lord. 13 And so esteem them very highly in love because of their work. And be at peace among yourselves. 14 And we urge you to admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak. And be patient with all.

31 - Right then some of the Pharisee party came up, and told Jesus, “You should leave here! Herod wants to kill you!” [Herod Antipas, son of Herod the Great who had the young boys of Bethlehem killed. Herod Antipas executed John the Baptist, though he didn’t want to but was tricked into it by his wife.] 32 And Jesus said, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I finish my course.” {BCE, CE, and post CE?} 33 “Nevertheless, I must go on my way today and tomorrow, and the day following, for it cannot be that a prophet should perish away from Jerusalem.” [Herod was a hebrew by birth, but “hellenized”.]

     34 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! {‘Micro’ version, partial scope. Macro at history’s culmination.} How often I would have gathered you to myself {to life, blessing, safety} as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you would not! 35 Now behold, your house is left desolate.” {God’s Spirit/Presence is a shield, if the shield wanes, logically, the great hatred of the adversary can find entrance.} “And I tell you, you won’t see me again (Jerusalem) until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD!’” [A key to prophecy.]

     14:1 - Later, on a Sabbath, he went to dine at the house of a leader of the Pharisees, and they were watching him closely. 2 There was a man there who had dropsy [hudrΓ³pikos - “edema, a disease produced by the accumulation of water in various parts of the body; very distressing, and commonly incurable; notice how Luke the (greek) doctor uses the name (hudrΓ³pikos) of the illness”]. 3 And Jesus responded to the lawyers and Pharisees {who were testing him} saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath? Or not?” 4 But they didn’t answer, and he healed the man and sent him on his way. 5 He said to them, “Which one of you, having a son or even an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath, will not go and pull him out??” 6 And they couldn’t give an answer.

ACTS 6 1-15

   Book of the Acts of the First Believers

1 - In those  days when the disciples were growing in number, a complaint by the Hellenists (greek believers) arose against the Hebrew believers for they said their widows were being neglected in the helpful sharings. 2 So the twelve called together all the disciples and said, 3 “Pick out from among yourselves seven men of good reputation, who are full of the Spirit of God and wisdom. And appoint them to this duty. 4 And then we apostles can continue to focus on prayer and proclaiming the message [logos]. 5 And what they said pleased the whole gathering.

     The men they chose were Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a convert of Antioch. 6 And they brought them to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.

     7 And so the word of God continued to spread, and the number of disciples greatly increased in Jerusalem. Even a great many of the priests became followers. 8 And Stephen, who was full of grace and God’s Spirit(/Presence), was doing wonderful signs and wonders among the people. 9 But some of those who belonged to the Freedmen, as they’re called, made up of Cyrenians, Alexandrians, and some from Cilicia and Asia, rose up and argued with Stephen. 10 They couldn’t refute the spirit and wisdom with which he spoke, 11 so instead they secretly plotted and persuaded some to come forward and say, “We’ve heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God!” 12 And they stirred up the people, the elders and the scribes, and they came upon him and seized him and brought him before the council/court, 13 and they set up false witnesses who said, “This man never ceases to speak words against this holy place and the law, 14 for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and the customs that Moses delivered to us.” 15 And looking at him, all who sat in the council saw that his face was radiant like the face of an angel!

9 - Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to genuinely love one another, 10 for that indeed is what you’re doing with the brothers and sisters throughout Macedonia. And we urge you to love more and more. 11 And also to live quietly, minding your own affairs, working with your own hands, as we taught before, 12 so you may walk properly in the world and not be dependent on anyone.

     13 And we don’t want you to be uninformed about those who are asleep (in death) that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope [elpis - expectation]. {Have not hope/expectation because they have not yet heard the “good news for all”.}

     14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so {in that way} shall God bring with Jesus, those who are asleep in him.

     15 For we who are alive - who are left until his coming - will not precede those who have fallen asleep.

    16 The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command. With the voice of an archangel. And so it is, with the sounding of the trumpet of God, shall the dead in Christ rise first. - This we declare to you, by a word from the Lord. - 17 Then we who are alive to his coming, will be caught up together with them, in the clouds, to meet him! [The bridegroom at his coming. So where’s the bride? The bride is Jerusalem, both the millennial Jerusalem and the “New Jerusalem”.] And so.. shall we always be with the Lord. {Where he goes, we go. Zech.14:4 - “On that day, his feet shall stand on Mt of Olives.” ..Isaiah 2:3 - “And many peoples from all nations, shall come, and say: ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.’ For out of Zion shall go forth the law” (love God, and thus love all) “and - out of Jerusalem - shall go forth the word [logos - logic, reasoning] of the LORD.”}

     18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

18 - Jesus said, “What is the kingdom of God like? To what might I compare it?

     19 It’s like a tiny mustard seed, planted in a garden. It grows and becomes like a tree, so birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”

     20 Again he said, “To what should I compare the kingdom of God? 21 It’s like leaven which a woman works into THREE ppl measures of meal/flour {loaves?} until all, is leavened.” {1Cor.15:22-24,28 = THREE loaves, three harvests? barley, wheat, grape - Rev.21:5 - “behold! I make all new!” The Greek word “pas” = all. “Things” was inserted at translation. As it was also added in verse 27 and 28 of 1 Corinthians, 15, where pas/all was written five times. In verse 28 “that God be all in all” wouldn’t make much sense translated - ‘that he be all things in all things’. Yet it’s the same word that’s in verse 27. Once the word is restored to its original, what does that one verse (27) repeat three times? — For “God has put all in subjection under the Son’s feet. But when it says, ‘all are put under subjection’ it’s plain he is excepted, who put all in subjection under him.”

     “The kingdom is like leaven which a woman works into THREE measures of meal until all is leavened.”

     22 He continued on his way to Jerusalem, teaching through towns and villages as he went. 23 And someone said to him, “Lord, are those being saved but few?” And he answered, 24 “Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, seek to enter, but are not able to. 25 When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Open to us,’ then he will answer you, ‘I don’t know where you come from.’ {I don’t know where you’re coming from? ..This is at his return. (Mt.25:1-13) The door is to “the” millennium and long second advent (of two millennium) with serving called reigning, during? It’s not a forever door closed forever to Life! God “is perfect” Mt.5:48.} 26 Then you will say, ‘But we ate and drank in your presence. You taught in our streets!’ 27 But he will say, ‘I tell you, I don’t know where you come from. Depart from me, all workers (and supporters?) of unrighteousness [adikia - injustice, unrighteousness {And Gal.5:20? carnality of division, rivalry}].’

     28 In that place (departed from him) {during GWT judgment ‘day’, initiaLLy} when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves cast outside {being in the inner, outside of the Light darkness} there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 29 And people will come from east, west, north and south. And they will recline at table in the kingdom of God. 30 But, some who are last will be first, and some who are first will be last.”

1 - Finally, then, brethren/brothers and sisters, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that even as you received from us how you ought to walk in a way that is pleasing to God - just as you are! And that you {and we, all} do so more and more. 2 For you know the instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus. 3 How this is the will of God, your sanctification [being progressively transformed by the Lord into His likeness and similarity of nature]. That you abstain from sexual immorality, 4 that each of you know how to control their own body in holiness and honor, 5 not in the passion of lust like Gentiles who don’t know God. 6 That no one transgress and wrong [pleonekteΓ³ - take advantage of, overreach, defraud] {seduce} in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all such things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. 7 For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness. 8 Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit(/Presence) to you.

09 21 - LUKE 13 10-17

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

  πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

10 - It was a Sabbath and Jesus was speaking in one of the Hebrew/Jewish meeting places. 11 He saw a woman there with a disabling spirit she had for eighteen years. She was bent over and couldn’t straighten herself up. 12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Woman! You are freed from your disability.” 13 Then he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made well, and she glorified God. 14 But the leader/authority of the meeting place, became indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath.

     So the public servant said to the people, “There are six days in which work should to be done. Come on those days and be healed, but not on the Sabbath!”

     15 But Jesus said to him, “You’re being false. Don’t all of you - on the Sabbath - untie his ox or donkey from the manger, and lead it to water? 16 And ought not this woman - a daughter of Abraham (your own national sister) whom Satan has bound for eighteen long years, be loosed on the Sabbath?”

     17 As he said this, those who were against him were put to shame, while the people rejoiced at the glorious things that were being done by him. {Why does “the state” (the establishment of any certain time) hate Jesus? …does it hate the people?}

(Having been chased out of Thessalonica by authorities, and now eager to hear how the Thessalonian believers are doing since then, Paul continues writing) 1 - When we (Paul, Silas, Timothy and others) could bear it no longer, we were willing to wait behind at Athens, 2 and sent Timothy, our brother and coworker in the gospel of Christ, to be sure you were established in your faith. 3 To be sure that no one was discouraged by these troubles, so as to turn away. For you yourselves know that we are destined for this. {Bias against and thus persecutions and troubles, obstructions.} 4 For when we were still there, we kept telling you beforehand that we were bound to suffer such troubles, just as it did occur, as you know. 5 For this reason, when I could wait no longer, I sent to learn about your faith, for fear that somehow the tempter had tempted you and our labor would then have been in vain.

     6 But now that Timothy has come back and brought us the good news of your faith and love, and has reported that you always remember us kindly, and long to see us, even as we long to see you, 7 for this reason, brethren (brothers and sisters) in all our troubles, we’ve been very comforted! 8 For we are blessed/happy, if you are standing fast in the Lord! 9 For what thanksgiving can we give to God, for all the joy that we feel about you before Him? 10 And as we pray most earnestly night and day that we may see you face to face, and encourage your faith {and understanding} by supplying whatever may be lacking in it.

    11 Now we pray our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, will direct our way back to you soon. 12 And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another, and for all. Even as we do for you. {A note from the 2024 reading/study, ..On the right path/the way? Love will be increasing in the soul/heart/psyche. Today seems to be a day of division, but it should be superficial and not in the heart. Love ruling the heart, more than anything else.} 13 (Love abounding.) So that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his holy ones. {Angels still faithful thus holy.}

09-20 - LUKE 13 1-9

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

  πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

1 - There were some there who told him about the Galileans whom Pilate had killed. [From biblehub dot com Benson Commentary - “followers of Judas Gaulonites, whose story Josephus has given us.. It appears he was the head of a sect who asserted God to be their only sovereign, and were so utterly averse to a submission to the Roman power, that they accounted it unlawful to pay tribute to Caesar”.] {The “iron” of prophecy, Rome. Rev.13:1-10’s many headed geopolitical beast (“with ten horns”) of the last hour, cross references with, so is a morph and progression of Daniel 7’s “fourth beast more terrible with ten horns”. Dn.7’s beast has “iron teeth” (columns?) and bronze claws which tear up and scatter what the iRon doesn’t subdue. Aka, last hour huge beast will have Roman-Graeco roots, a western institution, think Roman senates, architecture, courts, etc. And Greek drama, philosophy, arts, etc. An institution within which dove and vulture collude.. The ‘little’ beast/horn of Rev.13:11-18, which came up amongst a cluster of others, and in its rising (after Rev.12:14) pulled up three other horns/major interests. The verse 13:13 event pinpointed an office, not (yet) an individual. It was the first seal 6 occurrence.. How can that be? Because the revelation vision is actually told three times. Chapter 12 is the middle version, with Mt.23:39 to go with vs.17, the last verse). Also, the seals (elements of the times, modern) are described at the beginning of the vision, as their full and entire effects, first to last. This veils what they are and veils much of the vision.. White horse and rider with a crown openly victorious over powers and principalities ride forth instituting a new age.. The response, red fiery horse.. given a long sword.. which is seal 6. Rev.13:13, to clear up confusion, is not, but was enabled by an of-the-world “false prophet”. Hello? This is so obvious as to be screaming. This is the ‘one’ who’s “strong delusion” of “seating man in the temple as god”/highest power has caused what was once called Christendom to “fall away”. This one has more modern “miracles to mislead” — including the Dn.12:11-12 wiTh LK.19:41,44 aNd 1Cor.3:16 “set up” to run for 45 days(?) Last “ten days” (rev.2:10) escalating to most critical/dangerous. And seal 6 culminates in - Mt.13:30, Rev.16:14-15-16, simultaneous with Mt.25:1-13(10) —— Is.24:20/Rev.10:4. Then two millennia later (outline 1, the week plus one.. it was biG bang into the universe as is - think “red shift”. TheN, it was set in motion) after all is said and done, 1Tim.4:10, Jn.12:32, then, Isaiah 11:7 “the lion will eat straw like the ox, the bear and cow will graze and pasture together. And their young ones with them.” Understand Rev.22 has narrative in it which is spoken outside of the vision, and portrays inner, initial conditions of some during GWT judgment/discernment/closure ‘day’ like the parable of the rich man and Lazarus does - inner, initial condition. Rev.21:5, the Greek word for “all” is translated “all things” - also in 1Cor.15:27,28 three times, but not another two when it just can’t work. So what is it verse 27 repeats three times? Word being “all”.

     And a second outline within the first is Leviticus 23. Rev.20 is told like describing the crests of waves but not much of the in between the crests. I had another thought here but I think it got misfiled in this 70 year old brain.πŸ™‚}

     2 And he said to them, “Do you think that these Galileans Pilate/Rome killed were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? 3 No, and I tell you, unless you repent, all will perish. {No option to stray in Eden would be an Ant Farm, so now this (all important) contrast, imperfection/entropy which “does noT quit”.}

     4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell upon them, do you think they were worse sinners than all others living in Jerusalem? 5 No. And I tell you, unless you repent, you will likewise perish.” (70 CE, was likewise. The likewise was not afterlife death living forever while being burned alive for all infinity.)

     6 And he told this parable, “A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, but when he came seeking fruit on it, he found none. 7 So he said to the vinedresser, ‘Look, for three years now I’ve come looking for fruit on this fig tree! And three times now, I find it fruitless. Cut it down! Why should it use up the ground?’ 8 But the vine tender said, ‘Sir, let it remain another year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize/feed it {πŸ“œπŸž+πŸ·πŸ•Š️+logic}. 9 Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good. And if not, we can cut it down then.’” {And what sort of fire would it be thrown to? A bonfire (mt.13:30, rev.16:14-15-16) not an afterlife ‘hell’ (another strong delusion of the adversary/first gone rogue one, and accelerator) — God’s ‘wrath’ being cause and effect, consequences of which dust to dust is as well, Ps.90:3,5-7. Wrath - orge - passion, cause and effect, the disease as part of the cure, and immunity, versus Ant Farm.}

09-20 - 1 Thessalonians 2 14-20

14 - Brothers and sisters, you became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus, that are in Judea. [Churches - ekklΔ“sΓa - from ek - out from and to, and kaléō - to call – properly, persons called - out from - the world - and - to God, the outcome being the mystical body of Christ {as confused as most/aLL? of it is} called ‘the church’/churches.]

     For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen, as they did, from their own 15 {too easily? incited by the leaders} who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out. Such displeased God. They oppose all mankind 16 by hindering us from speaking.

     A speaking to the nations that they might be saved (an answer to the IO ‘Israel only’ belief) so as always to fill up the measure of their sins. But wrath (consequence) is coming upon them at last! {And this slow fade/gehenna flares up into fiery consequences/smaller scope fulfillment. Full scope at the, done by man, apocalypse - different scopes being what’s called parallelism of prophecy.}

     17 But since we were torn away from you, brethren, for a short while, in person but not in heart, we wanted all the more, and tried eagerly, to see you face to face.

     18 We’ve wanted to come to you—I, Paul, again and again—but Satan hindered us. 19 For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming! Is it not you? 20 For you {as believers trained and ready} are our glory and joy.

49 - He also said to the crowds, “I came to bring fire upon the earth, and I wish it were already kindled!” {To be done with this imperfection. He brought a sword. White horse openly victorious over powers and principalities, and the response? Red horse of war.. which is given a long and great sword.. Wars are fiery. It’s so good to know, all shall dwell together, not just in peace, but in love and genuine affection. And nothing else.}

     50 “I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how great is my distress until it’s finished! 51 Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division, the choosing of sides. 52 From now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three. 53 There will be father against son, son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 54 When you see a cloud in the west, you say, ‘A shower is coming.’ And so it does. 55 And when you see a south wind blowing, you say, ‘It will be warm,’ and so it is. 56 You are actors. You know how to read earth and sky (weather). Why do you not know how to read the times?” (Divided we fall.) 57 “And why do you not judge for yourselves? 58 As you go to law with your accuser - make every effort to be reconciled - lest you be dragged into court, and the judge hand you over to the officer, and the officer put you in jail. 59 I tell you, you will not get out untiL you pay the last penny owed.”

How when we proclaimed to you the gospel of God, we worked night and day so we might not be a burden to any. 10 And you’re witnesses, and God as well, of how holy and righteous and blameless was our conduct among you. 11 For you know how, like a parent with their children, 12 we taught each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, for it’s he who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.

     13 We also thank God always, that when you received the message of God from us, you accepted it not as the word and promise of men, but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in us believers.

41 - Peter asked Jesus, “Lord, are you telling this parable for us - or for everyone?” (To stay ready/prepared.) 42 And the Lord said, “Who then is a faithful and wise manager, whom his master will set over his household? To give to the household the food that is needed at the proper time?

     43 Blessed is that servant whom their master will find so doing when he returns. 44 Truly, I tell you, he will set that one over all his possessions. 45 But if that servant says to their self, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the other servants” {even with words?} “and to eat and drink and get drunk” {or senseless? confused?} 46 the master of that servant will come on a day they are not expecting nor waiting, and at an hour they’re not aware of, and will cut them off” {from the flock} “and put them with the unfaithful. 47 And the servant who knew his master's will but didn’t get ready or act according to his will, will receive a severe beating” {self inflicted spiritually, beat yourself up over, or experience cause and effect results and consequences. Unless we think God will be flogging people. What actually works, flogging or remorse?} 48 “But the one who didn’t know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating. Everyone to whom much was given, more will be required, and from those entrusted with much, more will be expected from them.”

Revelation - 8 7-13

                a paraphrased study

{I think these are descriptions of things and happenings done by man. We have ‘his’ number. We are made of carbon and carbon has 6 protons, 6 neutrons and 6 electrons.}

     Review - verses 5 and 6, just previous - {Can it be avoided I wonder..} The angel took the censer and filled it with fire and prayers of the ‘saints’/believers, from the altar, and threw it upon the earth! And there were peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake. ->The interrupting of 7:1,3, which verses are the holding back of the winds (of seal 6, logically. Rev.6:12-17) after their first occurrence. {But the seal is described as its full effects, first to last.. a veil on the vision.}

       6 And now the seven angels who have the seven trumpets were prepared to sound.

     7 - The first angel blew his trumpet, and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, and it was thrown upon the earth, and a third of earth was burned up, and a third of trees, and (where it was?) all the green grass was burned up. {#3 thunder? Number one being 6:12-17 - but the seal is all its occurrences blended, the whole element of the age (seal) described first to last. And #2 thunder is 8:5. The higher and faster moisture rises, the greater the hail.}

     8 The second angel blew his trumpet, and something that looked like a great mountain on fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became as blood. 9 A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships (trade) were destroyed. {#4? thunder/seal 6 event} {Isaiah 24:20/Rev.10:4}.

     10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, like a falling torch. And it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. (7:17) 11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became bitter, and many people died from the water. (#5?)

     12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was stricken, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light was darkened, and a third of the day did not give its light, and so it was also for a third of the night. (#6?)

     13 Then I looked, and saw an eagle flying overhead and it cried out with a loud voice -  “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell upon earth, because of the soundings of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!” {Worse things yet?😳}

8 - For not only has the message and news of the Lord been told by you (Thessalonian believers) in Macedonia and Achaia, but news of your faith in God has been heard of everywhere, so we need not even say anything. 9 For the good reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, has all been reported to us. 10 And now you are waiting for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath that is coming. {Written pre 70 CE, and the razing of Jerusalem that occurred in that year of 70 CE - Rev.12:(5)6. And refers to the later full scope version, from the “bowls” of Revelation which occur in the sounding of the 7th trumpet. Ps.90:3,5-7—his ‘wrath’ = cause and effect, which includes “dust to dust” aka, entropy. And ashes.} (Isaiah 24:20/Rev.10:4.)

     2:1 - For you yourselves know, brethren, how our coming to you wasn’t in vain. [Acts 17:1-8,13, Paul is writing this letter.] 2 But, as you know, though we had already suffered and been shamefully treated at Philippi, we had boldness in our God to declare to you the gospel of God in the midst of much conflict. (In the previous town to their coming to Thessalonia, the leaders/authorities of Philippi had flogged and then imprisoned them, Acts 16:11-38.)

     3 For our appeal is not due to error, or impurity, or any attempt to mislead. 4 But we have been entrusted by God with the gospel {the Good News message} and so we speak. Not to please man {and the world’s view on things} but to please God. To please the one who tests the heart. 5 For as you know, we never came with words of flattery {ingratiatingly} nor with a pretext for profit and greed. And God is our witness. 6 Nor did we seek honor or glory from you or others, though we could have made demands as apostles of Christ. 7 But we were humble among you, and gentle like a nursing mother taking care of her very own children. {Yesterday’s verses talked about how Paul and the friends and fellow believers traveling with him, had been examples, and in turn the Thessalonian believers were now examples.. Examples of what? Of progressing toward the character, heart and mind like Jesus and oF both he and the Father. They are so close both administer God’s Spirit/Presence. Same as will saturate and “seal” humanity and creation. Ruling Spirit, humble and gentle, love and life.}

Acts 5 17-42

   Book of the Acts of the First Believers

17 - But the high priest rose up, and those who were with him, that is, the party of the Sadducees, for they were filled with envy. 18 They rose up and arrested the apostles and had them put into prison.

     19 But then, during the night, an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors, led them out, and said, 20 “Go to the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life.” 21 And when they heard it, they went to the temple at daybreak and began to teach.

     In the morning, the high priest and the Sadducees came, and called together the leaders, the senate of the sons of Israel, and they sent to the prison to have the apostles brought in. 22 But when the officers came, they didn’t find them, so they returned and reported, 23 “We found the prison securely locked and the guards standing at the doors, but when we opened them we found no one inside!” 24 Now when the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard this, they were greatly perplexed. 25 Then someone came and told them, “Look! The men you put in prison are standing in the temple, teaching the people.” 26 Then the captain with the officers went and brought them to the council, but not by force, for they were afraid the people would throw stones at them.

     27 The high priest said, 28 “We strictly charged you not to teach in this name! And here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching! You intend to bring this man's blood upon us!” 29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by having him crucified. 31 And God has exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are witnesses of these things! And so is the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) which God gives to those who obey him.”

     33 Listening to this, they were enraged and wanted to kill them. 34 But a Pharisee of the council named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law who {unlike most?} was held in honor by the people, stood up and said, “Put the men outside for a while.” 35 So they did, and then he said, “Men of Israel, take care what you do with these men. 36 For before these days Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined him. But he was put to death, and all who followed him were scattered and it all came to nothing. 37 After him Judas the Galilean rose up in the days of the census and drew away some of the people after himself. He too was destroyed, and all who followed him were dispersed. 38 So in this case, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or undertaking is of man, it will fall apart. {For the leader had been eliminated.} 39 But if it is of God, you’ll not be able to overcome it. You might even be found to be opposing God!”

     So they took his advice, 40 and when they had called in the apostles, they had them beat and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus. And then they let them go.

     41 And they left the council rejoicing, and were happy to be counted worthy to suffer for the name [onoma - name, authority, cause] of Jesus.

     42 And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and proclaim that the Christ/Messiah is Jesus. [Christ - Christos - anointed one, Messiah; XristΓ³s - from xríō - anoint with olive oil – properly, the anointed one, the Christ - Hebrew, Messiah. “Savior of the world.”]

09-17 - LUKE 12:22-40

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

   πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

22 - Jesus was talking to his disciples, “Don’t be anxious about your life, worrying about what you’ll eat, or what you’ll wear. 23 For life is much more than food, and is more than clothing {and appearance}. 24 Consider the ravens, they don’t sow. They don’t reap nor gather into barns and storehouses yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds of the air! 25 And who of you, by worrying, can add a single hour to your life? 26 If then you’re not able to do such as that, why do you worry about the rest? 27 Consider the flowers, the lilies of the field. They don’t toil. Nor do they spin. But I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory wasn’t clothed like one of these. 28 And if God so clothes the grass, which is alive today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven (to be used for fuel, or it fades away in the slow burn of entropy) how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?” 29 Don’’t labor over what you are to eat, and what you are to drink, and don’t fret or be worried. 30 For all the nations of the world seek after these things. But your Father knows that you need them. 31 Instead, seek God’s kingdom. And then these things will be added to you as well! 32 Fear not, little flock, for it’s your Father's good pleasure and will to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions! And give to the needy. Provide for yourselves riches that don’t grow old, and treasure unfading in the heavens, that no thief can take away, and no moth can destroy. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart is as well.

     35 Stay dressed and ready for action. And keep your lamp burning.” {Oil in our lamp! Ready for Mt.25:1-13(10)’s door to serving, called reigning(?) during his long second advent vs. gathered to Armageddon via the siren call of division, Mt.13:30.} 36 “Be like those who are waiting for their master/mister to come home from the wedding feast. That they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks.” {We “meet him at his coming” 1Thes.4:17.} 37 “Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he returns. Truly, I tell you, he will dress himself for service and have them sit at table, and he will come and serve them. 38 If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them awake, blessed are those servants! 39 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming” {‘black hats’? inspired by THE thief and accuser/slanderer, opposite of love having strayed so very far.. a possibility with imperfect, for imperfection is an abyss of potential} “they would be watching and not neglecting the house to be broken into [diorussΓ³ - dug through, broken through]. 40 You also must be ready.” [Hetoimos - prepared, ready because prepared, ready to meet the opportunity or challenge at hand, ready because the necessary preparations are done, “the scripture for training” 2Tim.3:16, training for what? What if his long second advent is a full scope version of his first so brief one?] “Stay ready for the Son of Man comes at at a time you do not suppose.”

1 - From Paul, Silvanus/Silas, and Timothy, to the church/believers of Thessalonica. In God the Father and in the Lord Jesus - Grace to you! And peace.

      2 We give thanks always, to God for you! And remember you in our prayers, especially when we think of 3 your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope [elpis - expectation] you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ. 4 For we know, brothers and sisters, dearly beloved of God, that he has chosen you. 5 The proof is how our message [euaggelion - good news, the good news of the coming of the Messiah {past and future}] came to you, happening not only in word, but also with power, and in the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God). A full assurance.

     You know how we were when we were among you. An example for your sake. 6 And so you became imitators of us, and of the Lord, for you received the message in the midst of much trouble, yet with joy of the Holy Spirit(/Presence of God) 7 so that you (in turn) became an example to all the believers in both Macedonia and in Achaia.

09-16 - LUKE 12:13-21

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

  πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

13 - Someone in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher! Tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me!” 14 But Jesus said, “Who made me the judge or executor between you?” 15 And to the crowd, “Take care, and be on your guard against covetousness, for one's life doesn’t consist in the abundance of possessions.”

     16 So he told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man produced a great harvest, 17 and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? For I haven’t room to store my crops.’ 18 So he said to himself, ‘I will do this, I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones! And so I shall store all my grain and goods. 19 And I’ll say to myself, ‘Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years. Relax, eat, drink, and be merry.’ 20 But then God said to him, ‘Foolish one, this very night your life [psuche - soul, life, self, personhood, inner being] is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ 21 So are all who lay up treasure for theirself, and are noT rich toward God.” {Futility, dust thou art.}

09-16 - James 5:9-20

a paraphrased ‘enter the story’

    πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

9 - Don’t grumble against one another, brethren, (brothers and sisters) so you may not be judged, for behold! The Judge is {ever} standing at the door. {Reaping as we sow, getting back what it is we put out, is ever ready.}

     10 As an example of patience think of the prophets who spoke in the name of the LORD. 11 We consider as blessed, those who steadfastly endured. You have heard of the patience of Job. And you’ve seen the purpose of the LORD, how the LORD is compassionate and merciful.

     12 But above all, my brethren, don’t swear an oath, either by heaven or by earth or by anything else, just let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so you may not fall under condemnation. {Should we then not follow through on what we promised.}

     13 Is anyone among you suffering? They should pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let them sing praises. 14 Is any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church, who will pray over them, and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord {Jesus/Y’shua}. 15 For the prayer of faith, will save the one who is sick, and the LORD will raise them up. {Death is the prognosis of imperfect/entropy, because God is Life and “is perfect” mt.5:48..} And if they have done any wrongs, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore, confess your sins {wrongs, flaws} to one another {be honest and real, not hypocritical - which word means “wearing a mask”}. And pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it wouldn’t rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain upon the earth. [A 3.5] 18 Then he prayed again, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth bore fruit.

     19 My brothers and sisters, if anyone among you errs from the truth and someone brings them back, 20 know that whoever brings back a sinner from their wandering, will save their souL from-death, and covers [kaluptΓ³ - covers, hides, veils, conceals (keeps private?)] a multitude of sins.

     {We confess our errors and flaws, but not another’s? ..James’ last words in this letter, pray for one another’s healing and overlook one another’s flaws..? Friendship between groups, denominations, etc will root out error faster than separation/segregation?}
